Ethans eye's wondered the scene in front of him rather bemused, he had only left Flourish and Blotts mere moments ago and had come to pick up some new clothing for the school year. Walking in the first thing he noticed was what appeared to be a bunch of new years being attacked by various tape measures, which were at the moment wrapping around their bodies like snakes. He smiled holding back the laugh, Madam Malkin was not without her sense of humor, in fact if he thought about it this was not the first time an army of measuring tools subdued several students all at once. He certainly did remember his first trip to this shop, he remembered being pinned to the floor with a measuring tape as well and then a whole bunch of measuring tools climbed on him and pretty much measured every single inch of his body. Ethan shook his head with a grin as one of the new years in particular was flicking his wand around while tied, he was pretty much hitting everything but the measuring tape. Turning his attention to the left Ethan saw another measuring tape fly out of the cabinet and came for him, pulling out his wand he simply swished it as the measuring tape wrapped itself around a clothing rack, then taking a step forward he climbed over the young man on the ground who seemed to be enjoying himself and approached the counter.
"Madam Malkin your tape measures are getting really clingy out here again. Another moment and they could all go on dates."
Ethan did not get a response as Madam Malkin was probably quite busy with the new years and returning students, leaning against the counter Ethan swished his wand once more pointing at the boy on the ground, the tape measure slowly released him so that he may attempt to free the other students. Looking around the store was in complete tatters, it really had been a really busy day today it seemed. Ethan swished his wand again, various items all over the store including knocked over bookshelves, scattered papers, knocked over clothing, and various other bits an bobs all lifted from the ground and slowly began returning to its original space in the store, within mere moments the entire store was back in order, except for the kids still struggling with the snake like measuring tapes of course.
"Professor Graves! Your early I was not expecting you until at least tomorrow, thank you so much for the spring cleaning it has been a busy day."
Ethan turned as well dressed lady with silver well trimmed hair came into view, she was dressed radiantly as always with her small pair of glasses neatly on her nose. She was in reality a walking perfection in the Wizarding world of fashion. She was in fact the best clothier in greater London.
"Forgive me Madame I returned early to London just this morning I was away in Albania on business with the ministry. An to be honest I just couldn't resist dropping into Diagon Alley, I do enjoy a nice butterbeer and watching the first years get wrapped up in your tape measures. Lets just say that its quickly becoming the high light of my return."
"Well come on through to the back, I just finished your new attire only a day or two ago, you can come give them a test wear and make sure their fitting for you. Although I must admit getting the materials for your clothing was a bit pricey especially that dragon skin, you know how touchy they are now and days about using that material in clothing."
"No worries Madam Malkin I already have your payment set up, plus a little extra as always for the fine work... also I would hate to intrude, after all the kids seem to be trapped in your store of hostile measuring devices."
Ethan smiled at Madam Malkin as she looked at the kids still trapped within the measuring tapes.
"No worries Professor the tape measures will keep them out of trouble."
Ethan gave a cheerful laugh as he followed Madam Malkin into the back of the store and disappeared from view.
