Unless he is lying of course, but things like that should be discussed with me beforehand... I cannot comment on whether they were close to the truth or not, but I would like to see them removed.

Woo whoo, trike by champion! Sounds mucho excelentte. @Hekazu I'm guessing, if I remember correctly, we'll be heading to this next battle without a full or even short rest? If there's not much room for conversation, I of course volunteer Orchid to go. Could I perhaps have someone come as my second in order to escort the prisoners back to the keep?

There is time for a short discussion. My personal expectations are that either Orchid or Brannor will step forth against the champion of the enemy. But I won't mind if you surprise me somehow either. It's the same fight to be ran anyhow.

With that in mind, feel free to make any requests about it IC and the governor will see to what he can do!

Orchid will obviously go as the challenger.

But we can't bring too many people or else the dragonborn dood is going to think something's funny going to happen.

I'd say I bring Parum to escort the family back to the keep and tell the dragonborn "release the prisoners first".

Then either Torus or Kyra, ideally Torus, to come and heal Orchid if he falls. While I plan to kill this dragonborn, unless we've gotten a full rest I'm without rages or a reckless endurance. I got an idea how to deal with this guy, but I need to win initiative for it to work.

Hey! Why can't Kyra go out? I promise she won't try to shoot the guy while you're fighting. I'd volunteer to be the champion but I know Kyra isn't good at a direct fight.

Not bad all things considered. It's double digits at least. Blue dragonborn are lightning elements right? Presumably Orchid is eventually in a position to see and hear him from the keep.

Yes, blue dragons are creatures of lightning as has been demonstrated.

As for the check... well, you have succeeded and I am assuming Orchid would share this information with the rest. This is no dragonborn. This is a bona fide half-dragon. A rarer sort, but also more powerful. Where Dragonborn have draconic heritage somewhere in the family, a Half-Dragon is a direct offspring of a shapeshifted dragon... and even then it only happens sometimes. This is how they naturally come to be anyhow. There are rumours of other ways, but those Orchid does not know of.

As far as Orchid would care to remember, all he sees is a legit half-dragon who'd make a wonderful hat.

What else could Orchid glean from his knowledge? Do they have natural weapons, armor, particular special abilities?

They have a breath weapon. Not much more than that with that roll.

Hmm. Would Orchid be able to see any weapons on the half-dragon? My plan, if I win iniative, is to charge in, use my shield to disarm, and with a free hand pick up the weapon using the object interaction to deprive my opponent of his weapon. I know he has a breath attack but hopefully I could dodge that for half damage. I dunno about half dragons, but I def know he can't use his breath Attack two turns in a row.

After that id toss the sword far away and I'd grapple him, knock him to the ground, and take my sweet time punching him in the face. Not the perfect plan, and I'd probably be dead at turn three, but it's what I got!

No, the half-dragon does not currently have weapons on him. As for your plan, I'll have to look into disarming people like that, but otherwise I don't have a problem with it. But still, the champion of Greenest has not yet been named. I would like everyone to have a word in the matter.
