"Heh, thanks. I've been practicing that one." Ventus replies, proud that he was able to pull it off.

"Still, you used magic to help you with that second punch" Talek said, and shrugged

Sage just waited quietly for his turn paying attention to what was going on.

"I just had a feeling that I needed to outspeed you was all." Ventus explains, placing his hands on the back of his head.

"And yet, the blow didn't land. Just because you all have magic power, doesn't mean it will solve your problems. Who would like to demonstrate next?" Talek asked

Sage "i guess i'm up next" he really didnt want to be but since no one else was volunteering he figured he mine as well.

[MarshiestMallow]

"Right. Show me what you can do" Talek said, slipping into his normal fighting stance, one foot forward, one foot back, both hands at the ready

As Ventus returned to the line, he decided to learn from his mistakes and simply watch the next sparring match that was taking place between Talek and Sage. He wondered how a spirit magic user would go about it.

Sage took a fighting stance that wasnt exactly normal. he kepts his hands up and his chin down. he threw a quick jab as he focused his magic on himself like he usually did. it probably woulndnt show on the outside but if Talek countered Sage would be more than able to react with this other hand as well as his feet.

Talek grabbed Sage's arm, stopping the Jab. He pulled the boy toward him, and quickly had the arm behind sages back, twisting it round, careful not to dislocate the shoulder

Sage was caught off guard but recovered quickly. lifting his foot and dropping his head. in one strong motion he stomped on the mans foot and slammed his head back into the mans face at the same time.

The blow to his head was stopped by a wall of air, and Talek kept his footing, seeming to not react to having his foot stomped on. "A little bit of wisdom for you all. Just because you can't sense magic from someone, doesn't mean they have none. The first thing any of you should learn how to do here, is to hide your magical abilities from others who can sense it"

Shakuntala thought that Talek was an oppentent that was going to be hard to beat, i they ever could. Maybe that was the point. Give them someone to fight with, that would make them strive to do just that. Beat him.

Sage wasnt expecting the wall of air but while Talek was in the middle of speaking Sage tried one last strike. an elbow into the kidney. a short quick movement strengthed from the inside by spirit magic like a battery

Ventus was shocked to see Talek use wind magic, despite having to have stated that he had no magical abilities whatsoever. Then, when he spoke about hiding magical abilities, he quickly figured out that he had been hiding his abilities all this time. Ven realized then and there that he would have a lot to learn from this man, so he continued to watch the match between Talek and Sage, remembering to look out for spikes in magical energy.

"Mistake number too" twi'lek said, as he seemed to take the hot without any reaction "never assume that your oppenent is distracted"

Sage grunted, he had some other ideas but he chose not to act on them.

"What, finished already, boy?" Talek said, intending to goad Sage

[Nicias Askani]

"something like that. least now the next person knows you have some kind of magic" Sage grinned

[MarshiestMallow]

"it isn't a matter of having the magic, it is a matter of seeing what your foe is going to do, and knowing how to react" Talek said, letting Sage go

[Nicias Askani]

"same difference at this point" sage rotated his arm until it wasnt sore anymore
