When Sage heard the bell he hurried to put his robe back on and rushed to the class room. he wasnt expecting a regular person to be teaching but honestly he was relieved. regardless of who the man was, he wasnt an elemental which meant the experience would be much more different. that change of pace was the distraction Sage needed for a little bit

Sage actually knew how to do that but he kept it to himself. chances were the way the man meant wasnt the way Sage was thinking anyway. So Sage lined up without a word

Ventus lined up right behind Sage. He also knew how to do what Talek described, but he decided to wait and see just what their teacher meant, keeping a watchful eye.

Talek tutted, and grabbed Ventus gently by the arm, directling him next to Sage. "Like that" He said cheerfully, as Shakuntala and Pakuna joined Ventus next to him.

Ventus rubbed the back of his head in slight embarrassment when Talek guided him in the proper direction. Maybe he had a lot more to learn than he thought. Overconfidence will get him nowhere here.

Talek smiled, then said, "Right. We will start with the basics. Show me how you throw a punch" Talek formed his own fist, one in front of his face, one down below, protecting his head and body. His fists were closed, the thumbs on the outside over his first two fingers. If anyone looked close enough, they would notice that on his left hand, he only had three fingers and a thumb. His middle finger ended in a stump. His dark skin showed other scars over his muscled body as well.

"Alright...here it goes!" Ven says as he throws a punch at Talek with his right hand, his thumb over his first two fingers as well.

Talek caught the blow with one hand, the other shooting towards Ventus. He pulled back before the blow landed. No sense in knocking the kid out, he thought, on the first day. "You left yourself open for a counter attack"

Talek sees that Ven was about to block with his left hand. "I wasn't quick enough" Ventus mutters to himself.

"You need to rely on instinct, and not sight alone. use all your senses, hearing, sight, touch...don't forget your magical senses either" Talek instructed, "Try again"

"Alright..." Ventus throws another punch, but uses his left hand for the offense while guarding with his right hand.

Talek chuckled, and ducked, letting out an attack of his own, aimed for Ventus's hip. Talek was fast, and didn't appear to use any magic

Ven quickly flipped behind Talek, grabbing his arm, and flipped him to the ground by grabbing his arm.

Amused, Talek used his legs to break free, twisting so as not to have his arm broken, and flipped back onto his feet. "That was a good move" He said
