sage chuckled "yea i figured you'd say that. they dont seem to be as intimidating as she can be"

Ven looked over his shoulder, the light in his eyes slightly dull. "...Thanks for the information." With that he gets up, and he opens his door, getting ready to step out and head for the library. "I've got to figure out how..to bring them back...." He thinks to himself as he exits his room, his mind clouded with memories from long ago.

"Suki is scary when she wants to be" Pakuna said, starting to get out of bed, "She has always been powerful"

Spirit stopped ventus, "What is it you are looking for?" He asked

Sage looks confused "what do you mean by powerful?" he asks while remembering what she did earlier

"Suki is scary when she wants to be" Pakuna said, starting to get out of bed, "She has always been powerful" Spirit stopped ventus, "What is it you are looking for?" He asked

"...I'm just doing some research..." Ven simply states as he continues to walk towards the library.

Pakuna looked up, "she is strong and filled with magic. She has always been like that. At least as long as I have been alive" he spoke matter of factly, "she's good with all magic"

Spirit sighed, but let Ventus go

Suki smiled, "Then you should eat. come, there's plenty" She said, waving a hand to the table of food.
"There's Spirit, Fire, Water, Earth and Wind. Oh, and Talek. Not sure where he fits in, but he will teach us fighting evidently. We have classes all day, training of our own, chores" Suki said, "Its all in an introductory folder I'm sure you will have in your room. It changes on a daily bases apparently"

Brandon thanked suki and practically dived into the food, doing little to hide his hunger as he ate. As much as he liked to make good impressions, he didn't exactly bother to care for once. "so." he started between mouthfuls. At the very least he wasnt going to talk with his mouth full. "So who exactly are these people?" a pause as he devoured more food. "spirit, fire, water, earth, and wind?"

As Ventus reached the library, he couldn't help but feel a slight twinge of guilt for not telling Spirit the whole truth...but he shrugged it off, deciding it would be best if he kept his reason a secret. He entered the library quickly gunning for the books related to darkness and beings within it. As he removed a book from the shelf, Ventus decided to keep a mental tab on looking over the magical beasts Spirit mentioned earlier...especially the phoenix.

"well thats as intimidating as it is reassuring" hw shivered "but you should probably get something to eat."

"powerful Mages" Suki said, "I suspect those aren't their real names, but I guess they will tell them to us when they feel it is right. They are our teachers here. We are training to fight, I believe" She finally sat, taking a bowl of soup, she became to eat.

When ventus would read about the Phoenix, he would find a passage similar to this:

The phoenix, typically a song bird, that can reach large heights and seem to be made of fire, are termed a legendary creature. Able to heal with tears, the phoenix is incredibly powerful. It has many songs, and to allies, it is a valuable asset. The Phoenix however has a human form, and in this form it can wield fire spectacularly. It is wise not to cross its path.

Pakuna smiled a shy smile, "Suki is intimidating, and reassuring. I am glad she is my sister, and on our side" He stood slightly shaky.

"slow and steady bud. no need to introduce your face to the floor "

Pakuna nodded, taking a few moments before starting to walk, "that thing didn't even give me a chance"

"we are dealing with real monsters, how'd you and rhyme get outside so fast anyway?" he asked as he held the door open

"I was looking for him, and found my way out the back" Pakuna said, "And then...it was there" he shrugged

"werent you with us for combat training?"

Brandon's eating slowed to munching on a piece of bread as he mulled over what he knew so far. Of the little he knew, one thing that stood out was that judging by what he had seen so far maybe he could finally have a place to call home.

"so, suki, how did you come to this place?"

"I was" Pakuna said, shrugged "and got lost"

"Pakuna and I received a letter each.. We didn't fit in at the safe haven's, and it was getting harder and harder to hide what we were. So we left, started hear, and then Water found us and took us here" Suki said

Ventus mulled over this passage, believing that this information may become very useful in the near future. When he switched back to reading about the darkness, he found a sentence that interested him. "Darkness is repelled by the light and light brings forth the darkness..." He read to himself. "If they're two sides of the same coin, then we each have a piece of darkness inside of our hearts...the darkness can certainly make me stronger...and possibly give me the answers that I've been looking for..." Ven says to himself as he closes the book and takes it with him, so that he can continue his research later on in the evening.

Pakunas account of events wasnt adding up in ages head. The time line didnt make enough sense. But he kept it to himself as they headed toward the dining area.

Brandon chuckled. "definitely better then how i came to be here." Brandon then pulled out a small piece of charred wood, and pressed a finger into it. a small flame appeared on his finger as he singed the wood. He caught th small wisp of smoke and inhaled it, sighing happily. "Ah, hickory. My favorite smell."
