In Character Info;

Located in a small town within the state of Utah, just one-hundred miles east of the Great Salt Lake of Salt Lake City, Utah, Olympus Academy purpose is to guide and protect the Demigods - children of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. It does that by teaching and helping these teens and young adults to know their gifts bestowed upon them by their parents as well as teaching them how to use them properly. Not only do the professors train them to increase the potency of their powers, they also bestow knowledge of the martial arts and history on their parents so that, when they leave, they will be well-rounded warriors. It is so that, when they leave, they will be able to defend themselves from any foe that tries to come after them as well as understand why.

The campus of Olympus Academy is large. It not houses a University-size campus, but it also houses several hundred Demigods with a few apartment buildings, several different gallerias that have shops and stores alike. There are hangouts such as Gyms, Cafes, Restaurants, music stores, book stores - pretty much anything one could think of that a teenager or young adult would want, the academy has it. Even as impressive at it is, that is not the largest thing within Olympus Academy. Surrounding its entirety is a vast forest that houses some of the most dangerous creatures - mythological or otherwise. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the entire campus(forest included) is surrounded by such a powerful barrier that, the only ones with the knowledge to get past it are the staff and a few choice students(more if they are up to no good). Like, there are ways to get past it, but those are against the rules.

As most of the students consist of teenagers (15-19) and young adults(20-24), it should stand to reason that the classes of the class are divided into two parts: Demigod Studies and Normal Studies. Within the Demigod Studies, there are the following classes: Power Usage and Control, Greek Mythology, Battle Strategy, and Physical Training. On the normal side of things, there are a vast variety of subject; here are a few examples: English, Math, Sciences, PE, Electives(Art, Music, ectect), History(American, World, and Economics), PE(and a step up, Weight Training).

Despite it being a school for the Demigods, Olympus Academy has all the drama that is in any other high school. With every single Demigod having one parent who has probably wronged - or been wronged - by more than one god or goddess, there is bound to be a whole bunch of confrontations. With teenagers and young adults being the main source of the attendence, it’s not out of the question to see violence, drugs, and probably the most common thing, alcohol. The staff aren’t prone to the drama either. They are, after all, adults themselves - and all adults need some kind of drama in their life, even if they should set an example for the students.

Out Of Character;

First off, I would like to thank those of you who have decided to check out the RP. This is not going to be a first-come, first-serve roleplay, so please note that there will no “May I reserve a slot?” This RP is of High Casual standards. As such, I expect at least two paragraphs of non-dialogue. If you feel that you cannot meet these standards, then I am sorry to be the one to tell you then, but this roleplay might not be for you. The roleplay will be character-driven. There is plot, but for the most part, we got a character-driven format.

Despite it’s obvious ties to the Percy Jackson series, this has no ties to its universe or its canon. It is simply a RP about the children of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. You may mention the Half-Blood series in its book form, but aside that, it has no ties to our canon. Speaking of the Greek Gods and Goddesses, only the original ones. So, that means no made-up ones. Sorry.

Rules;

• Respect. This the most important rule of the roleplay. Respect my rules, decisions and roleplay. I am the GM, so please try to respect that.
• Have fun. Please have fun when it comes to discussing ideas, creating your character and writing your in character posts. Writing is all about fun and not to be taken seriously.
• Regarding Powerplaying, Godmodding, and Metagaming: I will allow mild-powerplaying only cause, when fights occur ICly, it's pretty boring to just "leave it open". That's why, there can be mild powerplaying. Godmodding will only happen in two instances: 1.)things need to be moved along; 2.) with a player's permission. As for metagaming, not a chance, bucko.
• Characters. Make them realistic. Demigods have flaws too. I want to see well thought out characters, please. I am allowing you to play multiple characters. Make as many characters as you can handle but three is the limit.
• Character Sheets. The Character Sheet is placed within the Character Tab. To prove you have read the rules, in the Extra section of the character sheet, put your favorite God or Goddess. I want to see detail within your character sheets. Only realistic images, please. No anime or illustrations.
• PG-13. Romance is allowed, in fact, it's encouraged but when the clothes start to come off, either fade to black or take it to PM. Swearing is allowed but keep it to a minimum.
• Gender & God Ratio. Please keep the gender ratio, god and goddess ratio even. If you see at least two people already pick Zeus or Aphrodite then please choose another God and Goddess.
• No Duplicate Slots of the same child of the gods/goddesses, what this means is that, if you already have, let's say, a son of Zeus character, you may not apply for another son of Zeus or daughter of Zeus. This is to ensure a certain kind of equality and fairness for everyone who wishes to apply.
• Posting. This is a High Casual roleplay so I expect to see at least two good paragraphs from every single writer. I understand writer's block but do not drop to one paragraph. No one liners or two liners! If your character and another character is going to be in a long conversation, please get together and do a collab post.

In Depth Appearance:
Rhea has a pretty bright face for someone so steeped in self-doubt and worry. She is constantly battling her perceived relationship with her father and while it may not show when she is with others, if one catches her unawares they will find a very different young woman. Typically she has toothy grins, bright hopeful eyes, and a calming sense of stability to her. However, when one isn’t looking at the girl, if she is surfing or hiking, she is a much more tired soul. Rhea finds herself constantly emotionally battered by her own sense of worry and doubt over the power she might wrought. She has a rather fine posture, and typically speaking is attractive by most American metrics. She is typically seen without bangs, letting her hair fall down to the top of her back. Her hair tends to lean to her right.

She has a shade of blue eyes most easily likened to the Great Barrier Reef. She has a rather straight figure, rather muscular legs due to her great experience with hiking and surfing. She tends to keep in shape and it's rather noticeable, especially in her bathing suits. She also tends to dress as if it was warmer than it is she is still rather unused to the colder temperature. So it isn’t uncommon to catch her with goosebumps and shivering.

Clothing Style:
Living near the beach most of her life, Rhea has gotten into the habit of wearing a bathing suit underneath her clothes. Typically the clothes concealing that is a baggy tee and a pair of shorts for the weather. Though on some colder days she has been known to wear leggings or jeans. When she is unconcerned about her appearance she can also be seen wearing a large comfy sweater and a pair of sweatpants. She is typically speaking dressing more for comfort than somone else’s viewing pleasure. She never owned a purse, instead carrying any money she has with her in her back pocket. She never found the need to use a purse and found them more cumbersome than helpful.

Rhea is a strictly bikini type of girl. She doesn’t believe she has the body type to pull off a one-piece suit as far as she is concerned it isn’t even an option.

Quirks/Oddities/Habits

• Rhea tends to play with her hair incessantly when her powers work without her knowing.
• While she is stronger in water and is technically speaking much more dangerous to others, she still cannot help but venture out to the sea.
• Rhea actually enjoys the chase all too much. The flirting, subtle glances. If she is in to them there is no stopping her from trying.
• Rhea tends to swear more than she wishes she did - it can get pretty awful.
• Rhea is almost always aware of the nearest body of water down to the centimeter it is from her. She also has this sense about fault lines.

Likes:

• Warm, but not too hot, tea. Preferably English breakfast.
• Lakes, seas, most bodies of water as long as they are large – perhaps it’s the Poseidon in her, but even each single fish is a fascination to her.
• Disney films.
• Being treated as delicate. She is rather used to being treated by a monstrosity by this point.
• Hiking into the wilderness and the views that accompany this activity.

For someone who tends to have an on again off again relationship with destroying small towns, Rhea loves life. Her namesake is somewhat of a tragic one, the irony is not lost on her. Should nothing be embellished about the big guys, Rhea is the entirety of the reason Zeus outlived Cronus and came to rule Olympus. The entire reason her father was regurgitated by his own father. But it seemed the name was meant for irony as Rhea’s power followed her through life. She has always felt a feeling of resentment, yet respect for the gods. She isn’t one to let her anger take over her other emotions, but she wishes to rid herself of her power. The ability to cause the earth to shake is completely awful and it seems the earth shaker’s reputation will, no matter what be passed down onto her. Rhea spends a lot of time alone and thinks on these thoughts for hours a day. She is absolutely terrified of her own strength and yearns for a simpler life. However, she knows that no amount of yearning will change anything at this rate.

Because of this Rhea has hewed herself to the societal role of demigod. She realizes that she isn’t completely surging with positive impact for society and no amount of control will stop that. However, pretending she doesn’t possess these powers will never make anything better so she is set on improving her own abilities and making the world a slightly safer place. Because of this outlook she can be seen as one of the preppy members of the school, but it isn’t all so bad. A certain amount of peppiness and joy in one’s task usually leads to better results. This too is not lost on Rhea.

Rhea loves the idea of having people in her corner and often times will surround herself with people who will tolerate her. This has been a tactic for most of her life, because it seems that when she is more or less happy, her powers are much more manageable. The only time they got truly out of control was a moment of great distress for her and thusly the theory tends to line up rather well. Thusly, Rhea tends to go out of her way in order to befriend others. She is always offering little sentiments that can be viewed as a little much by some, but typically dropping off some breakfast and tea to someone’s door in the morning is not completely uncommon.

The thing about thinking the people who are ‘supposed’ to love you don’t, is that you look for that love. You feel unable to exist it doesn’t exist, rather you believe it has just been pushed onto some other person. Thusly, Rhea sees things that she often times projects onto others. Not many people will grow to love a walking disaster, but if Rhea had been right every time she believed someone harbored strong feelings for her she would have a town full of raving supporters. Unfortunately, all she has insofar as that many people is a town of graves. Thusly, she tends to lean on people not only more than she should, but once she does she can fall for them rather quickly. Some people drink, some smoke, Rhea falls. Hard.

Background:
While Rhea is approaching never talking about her past, it is the driving force of her life. Poseidon meeting her father was a rather droll engagement. Rhea’s mother was a Canadian woman on vacation in California. One godly thing lead to a slightly less godly part and nine months later, Rhea was born – in Lake Louise, Alberta. It wasn’t the life Poseidon would typically want for a child of his perhaps that is why she was given such a forsaken power. Rhea was a demigod, absolutely, but she also had five siblings who were fully human. They were all older brothers and they treated her equally like solid gold and absolute shit. It just depended if a boy was looking at her that day or not. Luckily for her, the boys weren’t quite aware of her bisexuality so towards her high school years, sleepovers were her escape.

Her mother on the other hand, was an entirely different fucked up part of her life. See her mother had gotten a bit of a god complex after having gotten away with what Medusa couldn’t, fucking the earth shaker of course. While the woman did possess the ability to love people more so than most people could, she unfortunately focused almost all that energy into herself. Many times Rhea had asked about where she came from, why her families signature traits were conclusively lacking in her own face. Why was the typical question, it was met with sneers that meant adoption to Rhea. Until one day, she asked what.

It was a rather rainy day, looking back on it, most likely due to Rhea. It poured all day, the more she thought about how exactly her mother could have had sex with a god, and then let the demigod child – Rhea lead a normal, subpar life. She asked to see her father, to speak with him, and her mother told her to try and go for a swim, see if he would be found in the suboptimal temperatures of Lake Louise. To this day Rhea still isn’t sure whether or not her mother knew that the temperature of water was largely unimportant to Rhea’s demigod physiology and that she could easily survive underwater. So she said okay.

Rhea trudged out in the blisteringly rain, which actually was cold due to the wind. She reached the beach and stopped. She glanced out at the rain smashing into the lake before she decided it was time to meet her father. To put an end to so many questions at once, it was both exhilarating and absolutely horrific at the same time. Yet she still found herself excited. It didn’t last long however. She got into the water and all seemed well. She was embraced by the water seemingly at home for perhaps the first time in her life. She felt the warmth of the impossible lake and once she was fully inside, she did not feel the strain to breathe. Instead she found herself dreading the next time her lungs would have to inhale the oxygen that awaited her above the surface. Strangely enough she felt more at home than ever before. But perhaps that wasn’t so strange as much as it was a false sign of hope.

False indeed it was, before long, after the wonderment of the lake ceased to bemuse her mind grew silent. Then it called out for Poseidon the mightiest of… Father. She just wanted to meet her dad. By the time she had finally pulled herself out of the lake nearly an hour had passed and her father was absolutely nowhere to be found. Not waiting for her on the shore like perhaps a film might paint it, not waiting in the lake. No longer in her heart or her dreams. Perhaps that day, in the middle of that rainstorm, perhaps Poseidon died. Certainly in a sense that was true. But in another, he was born. The side that rarely got the recognition it once did, the side that shook the lands of men and carved the shore. It was borne anew in his daughter.

That night, her brothers grew bored after a few Molson’s. They had recently found out about a boy who had been flirting with Rhea. It seemed that her brothers had decided to go on a midnight escapade to the boys who had been flirting with Rhea. They went in the night, took their mother’s jeep – it was surefire. Except of course it wasn’t. It was rather routine actually. They would go over, throw a little tilly and after the dust settled and the donnybrook had ended there stood a few very proud brothers and a very apologetic Rhea. It is at this juncture in the story, when Rhea replays it all in her head that she wonders if that hour in the lake had upset Poseidon. Perhaps another god. Of course, bad things happen more so than the average human is aware but when you have abilities like Rhea, you learn a lot more is the fault of men then what may initially appear to be true.

His father pulled out a hunting rifle and shot one of her brothers, his name was Johnathon. Their father had named all of Rhea’s brothers and their names were quite different than her own. That was something she had always loved. Johnny was actually a relatively safe kid all things considered with that family. Not safe enough of course, but some of her brothers would come to a much worse fate in just a few minutes anyway. By the time they made it home they were screaming bloody murder. By the time she had made it downstairs he was dead. The thing that most people don’t realize about Poseidon is that he was respected, not honored. This is because he carved the coast and sunk what didn’t stick to his will. Unbeknownst to many who live in Lake Louise, Alberta – they live underneath a fault line. By the time the dust settled and the waterspouts ceased their tireless dance around the lake, many were displaced and many were dead. Lake Louise, one of the greatest tragedies in the country’s history was all one young girl and her dead brother. Rhea was gone.

She was sixteen at the time and she moved to California. Her mother had told her once or twice in her drunken ramblings about her father, Poseidon the great earth shaker. So a month later when Rhea was finally standing on the coast, the sun beginning it’s morning rise, the ocean spitting waves at her. She called out, dug into the sand, waited. It was similar to the lake, but in a lake you don’t get waves like you do in an ocean. While Rhea was sitting there, allowing the water to gently caress the half of her that touched the ground, she could make out movements. Movements she recognized well from her mother in fact. The waves shooed her from the coast. They told her that this was no home for her, she belonged elsewhere, or nowhere. Truly, it didn’t change anything. The home she sought for some time was not beneath the waves with her father and he was indifferent to her mother’s death. Honestly speaking, Rhea hadn’t even summed up her emotions, the night is completely lost on her. She remembers something about her brother being shot, and she remembers a great beast approaching them. Perhaps that beast destroyed Lake Louise. Perhaps she did. It wasn’t an answer she wanted the answer to, and her father, the waves, the very sea itself could sense that.

Rhea has more realistic ideas of her father now. When she did end up meeting him, it was brief, to the point. Your power is too great Rhea, you need to learn control.

Relationship With Godly Parent:
Rhea’s relationship with Poseidon is completely one-sided. She has spoken with the man once in her life and is typically unable to properly process emotions she feels that surround and conform to the missing father figure in her life. Typically speaking she blames Poseidon and herself for how she feels her powers will come to affect the world, negatively to put it succinctly. She feels like at this point there is no reason to start a relationship with her father, while this would infuriate many people, Rhea is typically more or less saddened by it. She wished for more and got much less. But she is attempting to play the hand she was dealt. Though she was never fond of the game they were playing in general.

Godly Abilities:

Abilities listed on a scale of most comfortable for Rhea to use, to least.

Sleep: Rhea is able to exist in water completely harmoniously. She is able to take a great fall, as long as she lands in water she will be alright. Water can heal her wounds, allow her a sense of clarity otherwise impossible outside of it and she can even walk on the bottom of a lake or shallow seabed and not have to surface for an hour. She is at her most comfortable in water. She is also able to walk on top of water controlling her buoyancy and ascending or descending incredibly quickly is very easy for her as long as she is in water. When Rhea touches water every aspect of her physicality is greatly enhanced, even during rainfall she becomes not only an adequate fighter but a dangerous one too able to process so much quicker due to her enhanced clarity.

Cry: When Rhea's tear ducts well up she is able to cause rainfall. She has been known to do this to herself at times, lightly hitting herself in the nose and thinking back to her past. She can use this as a trigger for her abilities at times. However, her father is not Zeus and as such she does not control per se the rain's amount. It is always the same, the natural hazard of torrential downpour.

Spit: Rhea is able to produce an incredibly fast waterspout that can carry hundreds of gallons of water from a large body of water onto dry land and into enemies and so forth. She is rather comfortable with this ability and thusly it is her strongest one. Though she is still unsure of herself and they can spin off out of her control. She can also technically summon more than one, however it is nearly impossible for her to maintain control of either when she does this. This ability is used by Rhea by thinking about the anger she feels and the water nearest to her. As such, and because of her sixth sense, she can form waterspouts by accident when she is feeling very extreme emotions.

Tear: Rhea is technically able to invoke earthquakes. Though she has never attempted to use this ability on purpose. When she is feeling very strong emotions, primarily sadness and anxiety and she focuses on a fault line she can cause the earth to rupture and shake. This can be absolutely devastating on a very large scale and she is in no way comfortable using this ability whatsoever.

Swallow: Rhea is unaware she possesses this ability, however she is technically able to use it. Swallow is what would happen should Rhea’s targeted fault line fall multiple miles offshore in the ocean. Later when she is able to target specific fault lines or bodies of water this may be possible, however currently she would have to be out at sea to accidentally use it. Currently she would need to be in a state of emotional anguish that is unlike anything she has ever felt. She would open up the fault line, not unlike tear and cause a tsunami to form. This could easily devastate entire coastal regions, but is both wholly inefficient for her to ever use in combat and almost impossible for her to even accidentally trigger.

Cecily, she’s definitely had a different life than me. I, it’s not there. What I was looking for when I first met her isn’t there. I was looking for the part of me that winces when someone says combat, when they insinuate that powers might come into play. It seems she has a much larger amount of control, which is really great. I feel happy for her. Really I do.

Hades Children

She seems sad, though I think it’s unrelated to her power as a daughter of Hades. Even her relationship with Hades seems to be alright, which I should feel happy for her about. I just don’t understand how Hades the god of the underworld and death could possibly have a better relationship with his daughter than Poseidon. Is the sea really that vast?

She’s like one of those girls from the movies. You know you’re watching a drama so when she strolls into frame smoking a cigarette and giving some lucky guy the fuck me eyes you know that she has a pretty messed up past. Hopefully it’s not too bad though, I’m sure with all that confidence it can’t be as bad as it is in the movies anyway. At least she looks good doing her thing.

There’s a certain stigma around children of Ares, that they’re idiots stuff like that. I don’t know why but Jonas seems like e was cut from a cloth that was intent on disproving that. I mean, he isn’t a child of Hera or something like that – but the man is smart and anyone who pretends he isn’t is doing just that. Pretending. I like Jonas, but I doubt I’m strong enough in my current state to impress him without leveling the state.

Dana came up to me one day and complimented my top, once we got talking about some of my other clothes she took me to a mall and we went shopping. Coincidentally that was also how I met Jonas. Ares kids, I guess they can carry a lot of bags. Not much was said and we don’t have any plans to hangout again but it felt nice. It felt so normal – I’m really not so used to normal. Maybe next time I’ll have to approach her? I haven’t really made up my mind I suppose.

There isn’t much to say about Webster, he’s a smart kid and that’s about all there is to him. He doesn’t seem to have a lot of personality, I mean he’s nice, kind, but it feels like he’s holding parts of himself back in any conversation. I don’t distrust him as much as I don’t get him to be honest. Maybe there’s something I’m not seeing, I should be used to hidden depths by now but I guess I’m not. I made an ocean pun by accident. Dammit.

I think she might actually know about Lake Louise. If anyone was going to tie me to it it’d be her and I think the signs are starting to become too clear. I haven’t exhibited any noticeable power – especially as a child of Poseidon. I fear a daughter of Athena would definitely be the one to make the connection of natural disaster and Poseidon or his children. I don’t really know what to do but smile at her when I catch her eye line.

He’s a little loud mouthed. Likes to jump into arguments or at least participate in them. I’m sure he’s nice and he seems fairly loyal but I don’t think I could ever be interesting enough to hold a conversation with him. Personally I think the son of Aphrodite might need to do a little learning when it comes to love.

Dallas is nice to be around. Sure he’s kind of a carefree spirit and he says things he probably shouldn’t, but you forget about all the serious shit and just live for a little. It’s nice having him around and I appreciate him being there more than he realizes, even though we’ve barely met. Hopefully he can become a friend of mine one day. I find myself saying that a lot nowadays, it’s kind of embarrassing. If Dallas heard that he’d probably make some joke about cheering up though, so I think I’ll follow that advice.

Marina is really nice! She always says hi to nearly half the people she sees in the hallway or anywhere else and because of that I think she’s probably got a lot of friends. I guess I don’t really know anything about her though, and she doesn’t know anything about me. But I guess that’s just how it is these days. It’s for the best really.

He would go on to tell them that calling him Webster made a lot more sense, and sounded much less stupid, and so everyone, other than his parents, call him this, and it's how he introduces himself.

JJ - When he was younger, his parents called him JJ, shorthand for Johnathan Junior. His mother and father will still call him this from time to time, but none of his friends know about it, and he hates being called it.

In Depth Appearance:
Webster is tall and lanky, standing at about 6 feet and weighing in at around 160 pounds, all of which he would like you to believe is pure unadulterated muscle. Really it's the opposite, as Webster hates exercise with a passion, and as such, his muscles are minimally toned, and His dirty blonde hair is kept styled up out of his eyes, with more hair product than he would really care to admit. His eyes are a stormy grey, and have a look to them that makes it seem as if Webster's thoughts are elsewhere. Webster's mouth is always turned up in a smirk, one that almost makes him look like he's up to something, but also makes him seem much more friendly, despite his complete ineptitude in social situations involving strangers. While he's tried hard to grow a beard, he can't seem to get past a light stubble, and so he keeps his face clean shaven as much as he can, although it isn't totally unheard of for him to get so wrapped up in a project that he forgets to shave for a few days. His skin is a clear and cream colored, and try as he might, he can't get a tan to save his life.

Clothing Style:
Webster most certainly does not dress to impress, despite his upbringing in a wealthy household. He wears flannels and band tees, beat up Converse and torn skinny jeans, and that's on a day when he's actually trying. On a lazy day, he opts for a tee shirt and sweats, though his Converse are his go to shoes. However, when he does want to clean up, he cleans up well, a result of his upbringing in a well off household. He prefers to wear blues or greys, and blacks aren't uncommon for him as well.

Webster is a genius before he is anything else. Remarkably intelligent and resourceful, his brains are almost always the first thing people notice about him, a side effect of the unnecessarily large words that he'll sometimes use in conversations. This intelligence kept him out of many social circles as a kid, and left him a rather awkward character. While he acts perfectly fine around his friends, girls that he likes seem to be his biggest weakness, and practically any stranger will have him stumbling over his words. But, despite showing off his intelligence like a medal of honor, Webster is at his core, a caring and supportive friend, who'd do anything for those he cares for.

But, just like everyone else, Webster has a dark side. His IQ has left him arrogant, and he's always confident that he's the smartest person in the room. This arrogance is truly just a mask for his insecurity, the insecurity that's gripped him ever since he was a child. Always wanting to be the best left him fearing he was always second or third best. He can be remarkably sarcastic as well due to his lack of verbal filter, and to those who know him, they know he's just joking, but to those who're just meeting him, he can come off as rude.

Background:
Johnathan O'Connor was a new history professor at Stanford when he met the young, lovely, Aliane Corvus. Well, that's what she said her name was. In truth, she was the goddess of wisdom, Athena, and she'd taken a liking to the professor. Their whirlwind romance culminated in an engagement, a marriage, and a pregnancy, all within seven months. After Webster was born, Athena revealed herself to her husband, and their relationship soon crumbled. Johnathan couldn't seem to handle being with an immortal goddess and this drove a wedge between the two.

From birth, Webster, then Johnathan Jr, was expected to be great. His father wouldn't have anything else. "O'Connors are great," he would say to a young Webster, who would simply look up into his fathers eyes and gurgle, as infants tend to do. And Webster did become great. At the age of five he was reading full on chapter books, and using words far beyond the normal comprehension of a kindergartner. Of course, his father knew where this was coming from, but he refused to tell Webster anything.

From that point on, Webster was enrolled in private lessons after school. He was taught to play the piano, speak Spanish, German and French, and he even dabbled in the violin. His father always made sure he had something to do, and as he got older he desired rebellion more than anything, an escape from the life. And that day came when Mommy Dearest knocked on his door.

When Webster was just fifteen his mother showed up and explained away all the mysteries of his life, such as why his parents had split, and just who his mother really was. He was shocked to say the least, but when his mother suggested he be sent to Olympus Academy, and he's been there ever since, refusing to go home, even for the holidays.

There's a good chance that many people will be looking up at A.J. in both the literal and figurative sense. Such things tend to happen when one is gifted with height. A.J. is a tall woman, standing at a good six foot two, and she wears her height rather well by not being a gangly sort of tall. While not in possession of an overly shapely figure, when she isn't dressing down A.J.'s more physical attributes come into the light, starting with the length of her legs which, depending on who you ask, rank high on her list of physical features. There's little cellulite to be found on her body thanks to what she claims is a good metabolism. Though her legs and the toned nature contained within are certainly points of interest, it is her sharp jawline and cheeks that A.J. is most proud of. Her visage is strong, elegant and angular, that it's such a shame that it's rarely shown to be smiling genuinely.

A.J.'s hair is always medium length and bounces between a sandy color and a more obvious blonde. She doesn't often experiment with new styles, preferring the standard middle part and healthy amount of brushing to maintain its straight nature. Her eyes, less bright and more pronounced, are a muddy brown but that doesn't stop them from being able to carry her glances of interests and incredulity. There aren't any blemishes on her skin, not even so much as a lingering scratch or wound or even tan lines. It's evident that A.J. enjoys making herself look presentable, and often that translates to a healthy amount of eyeshadow/eyeliner and lipstick, but it's never to the point of being caked on. That would just be disastrous.

A.J. goes for more glamour than outright flirty, knowing that one needn't show off to grab attention when needed. But by the same token her devotion to the glamour comes with its own cost.

In a word? Variable. More often than not A.J. will be wearing clothing that screams comfort and casual but is more fashion oriented than a simple 'casual' look of jeans or what have you. While jeans are certainly welcome, it's never without matching accessories or a top to match. A.J. stays on top of the trends in the fashion world mainly so she knows when it's time to update her wardrobe, blending the in style trends with more down-to-earth, common person affordable items. She leaps at the chance to go formal since it is an excuse to wear dresses that either show off a bit of leg or else swish and sway with the steps; either way it all feels good to wear. • A rather light sleeper, A.J. will often sleep with the covers fully over her just to add an additional muffler from potential sounds that will wake her up. People that just stomp their way to the bathroom in the middle of the night earn a permanent spot on her shit list.
• An avid eater, at meal times A.J.'s portion sizes are a bit on the larger side though she doesn't seem to notice or care. Some observers note that she eats enough for two or three.

There's a word for people like to use about A.J. and it's not one used in polite company, though the truth of the matter is a bit different than what it seems. It's quite easy to see just what traits she took from dear sweet mother despite A.J.'s protests on the matter. Popularity is something that A.J. flocks to, believing herself to be someone worth knowing due to her having a finger on the pulse. She wants people to know her name even if she can't be assed to remember any herself. Always with some new bit of candy around her arm or in her eyes, A.J. seems to be the type to be seen as a bitch due to her interests in physical beauty in herself and others, but while it's true she surrounds herself with yes-men and women and enjoys being the center of any given attentions, A.J. is hardly a bitch or even catty. She treats those that make an effort just the same as she treats her inner circle and is always willing to lend an ear to the girls that need a little bit of guidance.

It's just that her more...negative aspects overshadow her kinder ones. A.J.'s love of physical attractiveness has made her rather vain. Her fear of romantic involvements and entanglements has made her into something of a tease though it's something of a status symbol to be her bit of arm candy even if all that comes of it is a single night. Though she does have a heart, especially for the girls in the academy, A.J. buys a little too much into her own hype which serves to make her equal parts ice queen and motherly. With a bit more emphasis on the ice queen on most days.

A.J. is hot and she wants people to know that regardless of how it bad it might make her look.

Background:
One of the perks of being the child of someone that's a pretty big deal is that it makes you want for nothing. Though a marriage was not involved, A.J.'s mother had a particularly wild night after another in a long series of one-ups she was having with someone who won't be mentioned and this one ended with a pregnancy; an unwanted side effect but then, who hadn't been there before. A.J. was raised by her mother just long enough for her mother to instill some very important wisdom about life and people in general. A.J. didn't quite understand at the time, what young person does when the topic consists of such concepts as 'infidelity' and 'people will disappoint you'?

But A.J.'s father, despite not wanting to be one, had little choice but to take her in after her mother suddenly parted to continue to game and her spiteful existence. A.J.'s father, Anthony, is a wealthy sort that managed to turn his less than stellar looks into million dollar paychecks thanks to his ability to believably act. Growing up, A.J. was spoiled, raised more by the house help than the parent that stayed behind. There were visits from her mother, but they grew less and less frequent the older A.J. got.

It was actually her mother that insisted A.J. attend Olympus Academy if only so she could be among people A.J. could relate to. A.J. didn't understand at the time how...higher up her mother truly was and she entered the Academy with the hopes that there weren't any expectations to live up to anyone. A.J. really just wanted to continue being doted on like she was at home, though that was a bit more difficult among peers. Difficult, but certainly not impossible.

A.J. started exhibiting habits from her mother, namely in how she dealt with people that she felt betrayed her, the liars and cheaters of the world. Jealousy and spite reared their heads far too often and with it came a desire to be wanted...to be desired. Comparisons between herself and more unsavory aspects of her mother were quick to raise her anger, and considering the sorts that attend Olympus Academy, thsoe comparisons were made rather often.

A.J. wouldn't say they have a great relationship, but they have an...understanding. She no longer thinks Hera left her behind now that she knows more about the pantheon and her heritage and all that, but it's doubtful A.J. will say she loves her mother. But she wouldn't say she loves her father either and he was actually there for more of her life. Hera cares for A.J. no more or no less than any other child she has borne but there is care to be found.

Godly Abilities: Due to Hera's status as the 'Queen' of the gods, A.J. considers herself as something of a 'Queen' of the demigods and with this status comes the ability to influence her 'worshipers' to do her bidding, which mostly consists of telling her hangers-on to do things like take her tests, do her homework, and cater to her.

On the more positive side, A.J. can also grant favor to couples and her blessing to young couples comes with assurance that their love is for real and will last. A.J. doesn't play matchmaker, but she can see who is faithful and who isn't and if two people have genuine feelings towards one another.

Standing about six foot one and weighing about one-hundred and thirty-five pounds, Skye is a very lean and muscular male and doesn't hesitate to show it often. Most people would say that Skye is leadership type of person. They would be correct, well, at times. Skye was born with a silver spoon within his mouth and honestly, loved every second of it. Whatever Skye wanted at the drop of a hat, he got it. If Skye didn't get what he wanted, he threw a slight temper tantrum until he was granted whatever he desired. But that was the young Skye. The Skye that had turned about nine years of age didn't realize that he was a godly offspring until he was feeling something that wasn't exactly his feelings. He didn't know what it was to be honest and ignored it until it happened again. He told his parents about his strange happenings and deemed him as a freak of nature but didn't ship him off to an orphanage, or anything of the sort.

Growing up, Skye taught himself how to hone his abilities but even developed a new one - Mind Control. It's a risky ability that he had learned and even got use to over time. When Skye became of age, his parents sat him down and explained to him exactly what he was - Even though they called him a freak of nature a few years back. He was confused and needed more proof so he set out and did some research. Turns out, he actually is the son of Aphrodite and even found out about Olympus Academy.

Skye told his parents that he was going there and immediately packed his bags and set off to the academy, where he still goes to today. Though, he doesn't live within the area, Skye is always excited when he goes back to Olympus Academy.

In Depth Appearance:
Dustyn stands very petite at five foot two and weighing less than one hundred and fifteen pounds. Closer to one hundred during her months of "I'm trying hard to cut back man.." which is a nice way of putting: not drinking alcohol and eating fast food every night. She has a head full of naturally curly light brown hair, that she keeps long and often leaves down. Her eyes are a very light grey which can appear to be more of a blue tint when in the proper lighting. Dustyn enjoys being dolled up, but doesn't put too much effort in to her appearance. She enjoys lipsticks, eyeliners, and eye shadows when appropriate. Her body is littered with many scars and often bruises from her escapades of the past and present. She has yet to get a tattoo, but would love to get a thigh piece one of these days when she comes across the money and the right artwork. Her ears are pierced in several places, mostly done in the bathroom of friend's dorm rooms and very uneven.

Clothing Style:
Comfort with a splash of grunge. Dustyn is always seen in some type of denim, whether it be skinnies or daisy dukes- she has jeans on. Dustyn is someone that would see you eating lunch by yourself and not hesitate to walk over and keep you company. Granted, she might sit down and end up eating half of your sandwich while she explains to you why she thinks it'd be a good idea for you to go to the movies with her that night to see some new slasher flick- but she means well. She is not dumb, but can often appear air-headed and aloof based on her social activities and her tendency to go off on a tangent of something that she is passionate about or something that didn't really happen (ie: don't ask about her morgan freeman story). Dusty wants the best for everyone and herself, she just doesn't know how to go about it just yet.

Background:
Dustyn was conceived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents had both been on their honeymoon with their spouses and ended up banging each other's brains out behind Caesar's Palace, or was it a Little Caesar's pizza? Either way, the two lovebirds had put their last relationships in the past and began the whirlwind that was Dionysus and Kimberly. A couple years had gone by but as soon as the big P word slipped from doctor's mouth, Dustyn's father had said he had other places to be- and thanks for the good time, it was fun. He even left a "Get well soon" card on the dresser, with about twelve dollars in singles.

Kimberly now was dumbfounded, pregnant, and all alone. She decided to leave sin city and try to find a better life in Salt Lake City, Utah. She didn't find any greener grass, but when Dustyn was born she did find out what happiness was again. The two lived in a small trailer park, growing up together and experiencing what life had to offer without many material goods. Though Dusty didn't live a glamorous life, she learned early on how much value there was in a strong family, true friends, and a good time.

As Dustyn grew into the age where teenagers start to experiment with smoking, drinking, and other questionable activities the signs of being not normal were coming into view. As her friends around her got buzzed after a couple cans of beer- Dustyn was struggling to find where the fun was in all of this. She took to greater lengths, pushing more and more to try to experience that feeling. It worried her mother, and not before long the talk of something being not quite right was exchanged.

She has a bit of resentment towards him, blaming him for her failed relationships with guys who we're just in it for some fun. When the two get together, they can tell they share very similar personalities but Dustyn's father didn't want to ever grow up, while she on the other hand- had that deep down urge to settle down one day.

There's no doubt that Ceil was given looks from her heartbreaker father. With dark brown hair with added red highlights, she's a gorgeous, blossoming flower that can make many people smile, especially because of how carefree she comes across. Young and filled with exuberant expressions, she stands at 5'3", weighs 125 lbs, and her frame is relatively slender. Though, one can tell the days she eats more versus the days she only consumes fruit and a granola bar. Rumor has it that her beauty resides in her striking and colorful eyes. Some people think they are green, others see hazel, and then occasionally people bare witness to a dance of gold and amber in her orbs. She likes to keep the true nature of her eyes a mystery. There's one thing people do become certain of and that is, when she uses her powers, they glow thunderous violet.

Regardless if she's aware or not, her undeniably alluring eyes, wide and vast like the skies her father rules, and her seemingly naive and happy-go-lucky demeanor are what draw men in, for better or for worse. She is the spitting image of her mother, with a face that makes her look a lot younger than what she is and an attitude that can be questioned as insane. It doesn't help that her playful personality makes people underestimate her and treat her like a child. When she gets angry or serious, her nose wrinkles up. Sometimes she's the cutest thing in the world, other times she aggressively sexy. Individuals have called her a tease before, even if she's simply being a loving friend. Most days she wears clear contacts due to her nearsightedness, but she does wear red glasses that bring out her fair, olive skin tone when she's far too lazy to put her contacts on. Her heart is on her sleeves and and it shows in her eyes, her face, and her actions. Truly, she personifies the bright, morning sky, but never forget who her father is, for Cecily can be a radiance in your life or a catastrophic storm causing you to get lost at sea.

Conventional, comfortable, and a tad bit eccentric are terms that would best describe Ceil's wardrobe. She sports casual wear that emulates the fact that she doesn't really give a fuck what society finds acceptable or not. Most people put far too much thought into their outfits when she simply wants to mix shit up occasionally. Oddly enough, she makes outfits that shouldn't work, work, because her smile and painted confidence is what brings her ensembles together. Honestly, if she can, she would wear yoga pants, a t-shirt, a sweater, and have her hair up in a messy bun. Perfect for strenuous activity or to cuddle up against someone. This doesn't mean Ceil doesn't know how to be fashionable and dress 'hot as fuck'. On the contrary, when she is in the mood to go 'all out' she always surpasses people's expectations. Those are the days she puts far too much time and effort into every little piece of her look. She'll primarily do this when she wants to grab a guy's attention.

The daughter of Zeus is a walking contradiction. Her personality is truly hard to pin point because she's all over the place and great at molding herself with different people (like a chameleon). She's a people pleaser through and through, putting their well being first before her own. Ceil is the type of person who will wake up late at night to your phone call and make sure she's there for you. If you need to see a friend ASAP, no problem. She'll find a way to meet you somewhere, even if that means she has to drop her own obligations. People say she has a wise mind like her father, but also harbors his carefree nature, which leads to her stumbling into dangerous situations. The one thing that she will never relate to when it comes to Zeus (or so she thinks) is his need to jump from lover to lover. Most people that do not know her have a hard time believing she's as loyal as Hera - even to levels where she'll go scary lengths for you.

From being a rather silly person, who enjoys life and comes off as a geeky dork, she can also be fairly intimate. Nearly all the bonds she makes reaches people's hearts because of how supportive she is and the mere fact that she listens, wholeheartedly. Her father knows this will take a toll on her, but she must learn from her mistakes and therefore, he refuses to warn her of her folly. There's only so much she can do for her loved ones. What about focusing on getting her shit together and becoming the leader that she's meant to be?

Due to her sheltered upbringing her mortal parent gave her (which Zeus didn't necessarily agree with but it was far too menial for him to deal with), Ceil never really learned where to draw the line with how she treats men. All those she brings in her life, she treats like family, which may come across as misleading intimacy. At school, her friends have called her a tease because of how 'friendly' she was and just look at who her father is (yeah, snap judgments at it's finest). She doesn't know how she does it, but all her guy friends, even if they're taken, start crushing on her. Her self worth isn't the best because her father unintentionally points out her flaws (constantly), his high and low expectations of her, her own paranoia, and ultimately just being in self denial. People tell her she is beautiful, but time after time, she convinces herself they're just saying it to make her feel better. Even with all the inner sadness she carries, she is a joy to be around with. Ceil is the girl that smiles and makes sure everyone is happy, but when it comes to dealing with her own issues, she's a hot mess, usually resorting to alcohol so she doesn't have to think about it (yet, it always does the opposite effect). It doesn't help that everyone thinks she holds a lot of father's negative traits. Her father is a canny, cavalier, and carefree man, but he's also the scumbag of the universe and the vainest god you'll ever meet. Don't get her wrong, she loves her father but let's be honest, he's not the greatest guy - far from it.

Conceived and raised in the ghetto of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Cecily's mother had Chinese, Dutch, and Polynesian descent, while her father was a god. Not just any god. The King of gods. Her mother was rather young when she gave birth to her. It seemed like Zeus saw a beautiful woman and wooed her until he could give her a taste of his sweet nectar. Ceil's mother did have a thing for troublesome men. Who would have expected she'd carry the child of the icon of those men? Zeus found out about the pregnancy and hoped for a son, but at last, life was never ideal and his mistress gave him a daughter. To say he was disappointed was an understatement.

The woman with hardly anything to her name could not afford to raise the child on her own so she begged Zeus to take the child, give his baby girl a life that she could not. Zeus had other plans in mind. Instead of taking in the sweet infant of his, who resembled her mother tremendously, he gave the woman a promise. He promised he'd watch over her from afar but would not make any contact with her until the demigod was ready. He gave his mistress an ultimatum, she would keep his child and raise her to his likeness, for he could only acknowledge strong leaders as his own, and in return he would give her food, shelter, and clothing to wear. He would provide her and his child stability. When the time came for him to take Cecily, he'd offer his mistress 'paradise'.

That was not what the mother wanted to hear. She hated herself for letting another man, a GOD, take advantage of her and give her no choice in her own life, but she knew that anything with his blood would be precious to him. No one says no to Zeus, especially someone of her level. However, instead of teaching her daughter everything about her father (instead of painting him in a brilliant light), Ceil's mother expanded the little one's mind, making her far more open minded to possibilities. She believed even a kind and forgiving person could be a grand ruler. To her benefit, Zeus was a man with many distractions and allowed his mistress to shelter the girl and mold her to a image she deemed fit. Without a doubt, this child would be conflicted when it came to being the two people her parents wanted her to be and finding herself. Her explorations was limited to school and books.

Attending a grade school filled with mortals was not the most pleasant experiences for Cecily, since she was bullied for many different reasons. The fact that she allowed herself to get bullied furthered Zeus' disappointment and lack of faith in her capabilities of following his footsteps. Her mother transferred her to a religious middle school and then put her in an all girls' highschool, where her daughter could be herself and not be distracted by the unrefined kids and the savage-like men. This decision led to Cecily being a rather hopeless romantic, where she drowned herself in romance everything. The best romances were the ones that seemed so hard to achieve. Perhaps one day, she would find a transcendental love. A love that overcame all obstacles, no matter how much misery life threw at them.

One day, when she was walking home, a boy took notice of the beautiful demi god. That was the moment she realized that boys liked her, especially when he decided to pursue her. His intentions were purely based on her nativity or so that's what Cecily wanted him to believe. She wasn't dumb but it seemed like others liked her when she acted a certain way, most guys she met like oblivious and innocent girls, her close girl friends like someone that carried more confidence than them, and her father wanted someone who achieved, won, and led. Growing up and watching your main role model get used and abused by men gave Ceil some preparation for the darkness of the world, but that didn't stop her from wanting to feel loved. Unfortunately, like her mother, her luck with men sucked, but that is a story for later.

On her 16th birthday, while she walked the grounds of her high school, Zeus noticed that his daughter was getting praised for her achievements but also that her powers were getting out of hand - it was time to teach her how to control what he gave her. He offered her an opportunity of her life, or well, she didn't really have a choice in the matter. He told her she was going to transfer to Olympus Academy (which unlike mortal school, started at the age of 16). Although her relationship with her father was distant, he having visited her a couple of times in her childhood, constantly making her feel less sufficient (unknowingly), Ceil felt that this was her chance to make him happy, to make him proud. Her mother was against it because once again, Zeus would win - Zeus always won, but Cecily needed to do this. She needed a change and... she needed her father to look at her with love. You can say, the Merrick girl was and still is searching for her father's love in other men. None of them being able to handle who she was - all jumping ship before it got too deep. But now, at Olympus, she can show him that she is his daughter and that she will go the distance to achieve his will - sorta, it's a work in progress. Now that she is 21, still battling her anxiety, she plans to make major leaps so her father truly acknowledges her as his daughter and not some child who lets people and her powers get the best of her.

Cecily never feels good enough for her father and along with the constant sharp words he gives her to add to her poor self esteem, he is a proud man and only expects greatness. He expects so much of her, yet shows very little in return. He's acknowledges her when she brings home a medal, but when she doesn't give him anything to boast about... his cold stare brings shivers up her spine.

Strongest ability:

Electrokinesis - The ability to mentally and/or physically manipulate and control electric currents and static electricity. Ceil can summon lightning, electricity, or even make a static shock powerful. She can electrify her weapons in order to make it more effective, causing a high damage attack. She is given resistance to electricity (she can still hurt, but it just takes a lot to kill her by what's she's made of).
Extra: She has yet to call to the skies and bring lightning down on her foes. She did do it once, when she was irrationally angry but... that doesn't count.

Clocking in at six foot three, and a healthy, athletic, and musclebound two hundred and twenty pounds, Jonas is a solid and powerful young man. Smarter than the av-er-age bear. While at first, being the son of the god of war might bring up images the typical meatheaded, boorish, jock to end all jocks, Jonas is surprisingly... normal in temprament. While not the smartest guy in the world by any means, he's far from stupid, and is easily as articulate as any other demigod in the academy. Perhaps owing to a lifelong background in martial arts, he's far from your typical blowhard, instead staying easygoing and cordial in day to day interactions. Hell, sometimes he can even be downright polite. However, this isn't to say, by any means, that he's a complete anomaly.

Respects strength in any form, of body, of character, of will, you name it, if it's strong, he likes it. Admires great warriors, and is absolutely enthralled whenever given the opportunity to learn of them and their methods. Seriously, if you ask him who his favorite author is, he'll probably either namedrop Jack Slack or Connor Ruebusch. While neither being Athenian nor particularly displaying an extreme aptitude for strategics, what he is is a thinking fighter, a veritable sponge when it comes to techniques and the tactics of their implementation. He may not be the best general in the world even amongst his brethren, but he does a hell of a job at getting his hands dirty.

He's one of those guys that manages the duality of being both laid-back and simultaneously brimming with a quiet intensity, less a volcano waiting to blow its top and more the purring engine of a high-end sports car. Sure, once he gets hype, he gets hype, but until then?

Background:
Raised by a single mom, Jonas was stuck from a very young age into a nearby martial arts program, just as much to give him something to do while she worked her three jobs as it was to teach him discipline and keep him out of trouble. While throwing you kid at a karate school is always a crapshoot at best given the variety of factors involved, the young Highwind boy took to the martial arts like a fish does to water, always looking forward to his mom getting off of work and being able to take him to the studio after school each day. Especially since, while the discipline did come after a time (along with healthy doses of age and experience), the trouble at school was much, much harder to shake. Despite being a decent enough kid, Jonas always found himself getting into brawls in the classroom, at lunch, behind the playground; anywhere was free game. It wasn't that he started them or sought them out, either. It was like fighting was drawn to him much as he was to the art involved in it. Never one to start a scuffle, he tried to keep to himself, but 99 times out of a 100, he did find himself ending them.

Such was life.

While school and such was hell in a handbasket, he often found refuge in the community of the martial arts studio, growing from a competent, studious little kid into a respected, knowledgeable young man, becoming a mentor as well as a student to those that came after him. Life had begun to turn around: he had more confidence, he was helping his mother tremendously with the new source of income, he even was starting to pick his grades back up--

And then Dad showed up, and everything got flipped-turned upside down.

One long, weird talk later, and he was the son of the Greek God of War, going to be sent off to Olympus Academy, and was a demigod walking amongst mortals. And hey, Dad's really, truly is sorry he can't be there for you or your sister, but those shits in the middle east have been keeping him so damn busy these days.

Rather hands-off, and out of necessity as opposed to any real lack of willingness. Turns out, with all the conflicts the world's constantly going through, Ares is a busy son of a bitch. The two are amicable enough, but there's a definite air of awkwardness between them whenever put in the same room, a byproduct of the unfortunate distance between the two. Nonetheless, Ares has always found a way to, if nothing else, at least keep an eye on the boy, even if he can't always be there for him, and he is proud of him for sticking to his guns in the face of life. It's a rough world out there.

He of all beings would know.

Godly Abilities:

Impregnable Defense, Impetuous Style -- Call it a cheat code for the human body. In battle, Jonas's already considerable athleticism and durability skyrocket, soaring to outright inhuman levels of strength, speed, agility, reaction times, and toughness. Consider the difference between a man in his athletic prime versus himself, twenty, thirty years down the road. Now give him steroids and probably crack. Now apply all these factors to the physical stats of, say, Spider-Man. Scary stuff, right? Son of the God of war, people, he's going to be a physical beast.

The Drums of War -- When listening to a particularly hype piece of music in the background, he gains an additional boost in physicality, as well as a decreased sense of fear. For example, while he may stick and move in one instance, if the right song's playing he'll get downright crazy, trying to pull off flashier and flashier techniques.

A Call to Arms: Can summon any weapon he can think of from his Father's personal armory by verbally describing it, typically in intense detail and with a lot of energy usage—and then memorize it through taste. The definition or weaponry extends to ammunition and even gunpowder, although he's not yet fluent enough to manage to create more mundane things that could count as "improvised" weapons.

To those who have submitted characters, for my own organization sanity, can you put your deity in your hider name? Ie. Cecily Merrick/Zeus. It'll make it easier for us to go directly to your character when looking at said deity's competition.

Tomorrow I will also start my oh so well known great lists that will organize every character by grade, it will have your character's colors, keep tabs of ratio, npcs, and other nice things that are good to see all together in one area.

Once you get accepted, please PM me your face claim's name so I can add it to my great list.

You'll come to learn quick, I'm an organization...nerd. I'll say nerd. That's a soft term.
