Probably the only thing I care about this E3 was the new Zelda game, if only because they're trying to take the long series into a new-ish direction for it while everyone else is trying to sell the same script for all their own existing franchises. At least Breath of the Wild looks like it'll try another new thing for the franchise, if a little bit.
But I'm really going to withhold my final say until the game comes out and I can sit down and look at the reception of the game. So far I have no purpose really to get a WiiU except for Wonderful 101 and if a few new titles can change my mind then I'll say I should go get one.
I dunno, what they showed of God of War was immediately more interesting than anything that series ever had before. Kratos was never an interesting character and suddenly attempting to make him into anything other than "Angry McStabface" is both too little too late and also intriguing. And now instead of having a combat system that plays like a lesser Devil May Cry it looks like a lesser Dark Souls or something with Tomb Raider experience. If it was just another "Kratos is angry at Odin now" with the same bland gameplay it would have been dead on announcement. Here's hoping that trying something different with the series works out. If there's one series that needs it it's God of War
