Undina greeted the blue haired man goodbye, then went to the dressing cabin where attendants were waiting for her. She could tell they had some familiarity with who and what she was, because they didn't even blink at her purple skin. Chatting politely, they gave her a cool bath to restore her energy. There was some kind of lesser mage there, who painted her skin with water symbols. That would keep her hydrated while she walked in her humanoid form, but she'd need to sleep in water at night. Undina wondered what her husband would think of that...
Then it was time for the dress. She had to admit, once it was all together, she looked beautiful. Undina's wedding gown was a pale coral pink, with seed pearls accenting the bodice and sleeves. Undina, like her mother Ursula, had a very... ample set of curves, but the dress fit her perfectly. It made her feel feminine and yet queenly all at once. There were a pair of golden sandals, bracelets, and a veil that trailed down her back. When she looked in the mirror, she felt tears springing to her eyes.
"Mother... I hope you're looking at me from the Other Sea. Be proud, mother."
Someone quietly handed her a tissue and the maids gave her a few moments to compose herself. Then they did her makeup, painting her with golden paint.
"You are ready, Lady Undina."
"Oh..." Undina smiled nervously. "I am no lady, but... but thank you." She went to her things and produced a small vial full of shimmering blue liquid. "To restore your energy. A few drops in your morning breakfast will do you well. Free of charge."
The mage smiled faintly, and after checking the liquid with their own spell, accepted it with thanks. Undina tried not to feel insulted by that. It was smart to check someone else's magic. She would have done the same. But still, it hurt a little. Would she always be considered to be dangerous?
