Jean woke up with a start. He grumbled, then got up, and walked outside, trying not to make noise, but being quite unsuccessful. He sighed, sitting on the steps with his blade in its sheath. "Tear the wall down. Tear it down right now." A tear rolled off his cheek onto the ground. "Damn, Teim, you really fucked things up with Eleanor." He laughed nervously.

Aya waved and she laid back down, setting her sword by her bed again. They were alive. They were safe. She slept well for once after she fell asleep.

Eleanor knew fully well that war was something along the horizon... But she couldnt get involved. She awoke slowly from her dreams to a semi dream state. Asuramaru stood before Eleanor.
"Breaking already Eleanor?"
"I-i dont know anymore, after all I am more determined to complete this and defeat everyone in my way"
"If you say so, just remember our deal"

Eleanor awakes from her slumber and looks to the katana that rested beside her "I havent forgotten..." She sheathes the blade and stretches. She sits there for a bit before heading to the sleeping quarters and ignoring Jean sitting on the steps.

Guren laid there snoring lightly, though lightly. He had been woken up a couple times during the night by Eleanor and Jean going at it.

Jean looked up, afterwards speaking. "I'm fucking sorry, ok? Just kill me. Do it. You said it yourself, I deserve to die. So impale me on that sword." He dropped his blade and walked in front of her. "You're right about me deserving to die. So just kill me." He whispered, the only emotions in his eyes being sadnes, and regret. He smiled, looking down at his chest, waiting for the blow. "Do. It. Do it right now, Eleanor."

Eleanor looks over to Jean, she didnt seem happy with him. But she doesnt stab Jean "Get up! If you are going to break from me screaming at you a bit then you might as well not talk to me. After all, if you are on a battlefield you will be getting screamed at" Eleanor seemed to know what she was saying. She still slaps Jean across the face though "Stay strong, after all you do have a point. Any weakness we have will probably be used against us in a fight"

Jean laughed. "Damn. What got into you, Ellie?" He picked up his blade and put it into the sheath at his hip. "I can't sleep. Wanna go kill some vampires? Geng can track them, no problem." He smirked at her. "Come on, Ellie. We won't get hurt. We're too good for those bastards." He grabbed her arm and started trying to walk towards the woods. What are you doing, Jean? Thought you hated her?! Wait a second, I knows what's going on... Geng laughed. Shut up, Geng!

Eleanor glares at Jean before slapping him across the face again "Let go of my arm. You know fully well that vampires are no joke and we need to have the full team" She takes her chance and makes a break for it. She didnt seem to want to be alone with another person. She much prefer to be in a large group or completely on her own. She stood outside the sleeping quaters

Jean shrugged and ran into the forest. Once he was a bit deep, he smiled. "Playing hard to get." He pulled out his sabre, trying to spot vampires. One dropped down, and gave his sword arm a deep cut. Jean screamed in pain, and impaled the vampire. "Shit." He tried to run, but another cut his leg. Jean fell, but not before, slicing the vampire in two. He leaned up against the tree, prepared to fight. "HELP!"

Rai laid semi-awake on his cot, he looked around the room and saw that the others were gone, save for Guren. He reluctantly stood up and stretched himself out, before putting his new gauntlets on. Alright Saki, today we see what you can do. Rai walks out of the sleeping quarters and sees Ellie standing alone. "Hey, how'd you sl-" Rai was cut off by the sound of someone shouting, "Ellie, did you hear that?" Rai asks.

Aya woke and got her blood from the Queen, who was awake. As Aya drank hungrily and the Queen held her head to her neck, she said, "You're a little more aggressive than usual, Aya-chan. Did something happen? Like a human coming into the barracks?" Aya stiffened and forced herself away. "Nothing happened, my-" "Don't lie to me, Aya-chan." Aya looked down, saying nothing. "It was one of the orphans from four years ago." Aya opened her mouth to deny, to protect Valerian. "No matter. The Four horsemen of John will take care of them. The night is their domain, after all. You are invited to the Congenitor's council tonight. I'll be making an announcement."

Guren woke and he grabbed his sword, then he ran out. He had heard Jean scream. "Squad, on me!" he said to Rai and Eleanor. He got there to see one about to bite Jean and he stabbed the vampire, activating the curse and watched them die. He stood protectively in front of his subordinate.

Jean was bleeding from many gashes, and couldn't move. "Damn it."
He coughed, a little blood coming with it. "You stole my kill, Guren." He continued to stare blankly into space. "This fucking hurts." He looked up. "Oh hey Rai." He nodded his head. "Ellie."

"Alright lets go!" Rai said before chasing after Guren. Rai arrived at the scene a few seconds after Guren and upon seeing Jean he was shocked, "Damn Jean, looks like they took a piece out of you!" Rai deployed the blades on his gauntlets and got into a defensive stance, just in case there were any other vamps close by. "What are your orders sir?" Rai said, slightly disgusted that he'd just referred to Guren as sir.

Guren growled, "Don't you think about saying that." He folded his arms sheathing his sword. "You idiot, why did you go out by yourself? Demon weapon or not, Vampires are stronger than two of you." He helped Jean up. "I'm just glad you didn't get killed. Just don't do that again." He looked at Rai. "Stand down. They're dead."

Jean laughed. "I killed 13, Guren." He tried to get up, but fell down immediately. "Well, I don't think I can stay conscious anymore. Night, Ellie." He slumped, and fell to his side.

Guren huffed, "I don't care how many you kill. You still did something stupid." When he passed out he performed first aid once back at the barracks to help the worst of it. Though not a medic he didn't do half bad.

Eleanor sighs as she walked with the rest of the group towards the screaming. She saw Jean and felt bad for him and rolls her eyes "Why didnt you listen when I told you it was a bad idea?!" She looked at Guren and everyone else. She rolls her eyes "Does anyone know why Jean was saying my name constantly?" She felt awkward "Any way, I would presume that this area is not safe if we continue to stay around like this"

She heads back to the barracks like everyone else. She keeps her distance from Jean

"Alright." Rai said as he retracted the blades and returned to a normal stance, he was still however on high alert, listening closely just in case. He took another look at Jean's injuries, and they were not pretty by any standards."Yeah, I'll second that opinion, lets get out of here" Rai said in response to Eleanor

Back at the barracks Rai sat down in order to concentrate, and talk to Saki.

"You idiot, that was our chance at some action! Why the hell would you let it pass us by like that?"
"Yeah, that was also a pretty great chance to get injured or killed. Trust me, I wanted to let loose on some fangs pretty badly"
"What was that you said about not being afraid to act anymore?"
"Oh come on Saki, that's not even fair. Besides we're gonna kill a lot of vamps soon, don't wanna burn ourselves out so early on."
"Ha! Like that's even possible, I could spend years killing vampires and never get tired of it."
"Whatever, point is we're gonna kill a lot of them together."
"I hope so, or I would have to kill you."

Rai got up afterwards and went to find Guren "So, how bad are his injuries?" Rai inquired.

"Okay so then its nothing really bad then?" Rai asked, genuinely concerned about the well-being of his squadmate and friend. Why the hell did you do that Jean?, well at least you didn't die. If there was anything to be learned here, it was to not get caught alone by the fangs.
