"Well would you look at who decided to show up." Rai said as he turned around to look at Guren. "Since you're here now I may as well ask you Guren. When are you going to let us actually start our training? You did make a deal with us after all." Rai didn't dislike Guren, he was just beginning to get a little impatient with him following up on his end of their deal. Otherwise Rai respected Guren quite a bit, after all he did in a way save his, Valerian and Eleanor's lives.

Eleanor was outside the school, just lying under a tree. The sky slowly darkening and relighting as she watched the leaves block light and cause shadows upon her face. Life for a moment seemed easy, then she realized life will never be easy... It never had been. She sat up and sighed wondering how much longer it would take to get this boring everyday school life complete and finally get to the good stuff. She wakes her body up and starts to walk off towards the school entrance again, ready for a lecture from whoever finds her.

Guren looked down at Rai and crossed his arms. "This IS your training for now. How can you kill vampires if you can't even learn patience?"

"If I can't learn patience?!" Rai repeated. "You can't be serious Guren, I've been waiting FOUR YEARS for an opportunity to get back at those freaks, four years I've spent boring myself to death with meaningless schoolwork! I've been waiting this long telling myself that you'll come through eventually and that I'd soon be slaying vampires left and right, but I'm honestly starting to wonder if you ever intended on following through on our deal in the first place!" Rai exclaimed. He wasn't angry with Guren, he was just frustrated at the fact that he'd wasted four years doing nothing that would benefit his goal.

Guren sighed. "Well then. If-" Suddenly an alarm blared. "Attention, a vampire has broken loose from the laboratory. Students are advised to evacuate the campus. All of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army officers will vanquish it." Guren suddenly smiled. "Well well, here's your chance, kids. If you can bring this vampire down or distract it long enough for me to kill it, then I'll deem you ready."

Rai was certain that Guren was about to chew him out for going off on a rant so he was relieved when the alarm went off. His eyes lit up upon hearing Guren's offer "Finally, you give us a chance, you're going to wish you put me in sooner after this!" Rai said before he dashed off to find the vampire. All I have to do is distract one vampire long enough for Guren to step in. Rai thought to himself, he was determined to prove to Guren that he was ready.

Eleanor stops as the alarms start going off. She looked to her hand and begins to smirk. "Today is finallt the day..." She grabs a large thick book from her bag and smashed it against the glass of the fireman axe. "That I prove myself ready for the fights ahead" She starts to wandered through the school looking for the vampire that was detected

Guren went looking for the vampire that got loose.

The vampire couldn't find any humans to drink from and she sighed in frustration. She needed blood badly.

Eleanor continued to walk down the hallway hearing nothing besides the alarms going off in the background. It was hard to hear anything. So she kept walking down the hallway with axe in hand making sure to check each room thoroughly.

Rai rushed through the hallway whilst dodging obviously scared students, he rushed around the corner and arrived at his locker. Whether it was because of the blaring alarms or his own excitement he fumbled around with his lock briefly before eventually getting it open. Rai reached inside and retrieved a wooden baseball bat that he'd found outside the school a few days ago, it was a little beat up and didn't look like it was in very good shape "It's better than having nothing..." Rai thought to himself before closing the locker.

Now that he was armed Rai set off down the hallway, checking the classrooms for any trace of the escaped vampire as he went. Rai would not let this opportunity to prove Guren wrong pass him by, thus he made certain to keep his eyes and ears open despite the wailing of the alarm.

The vampire smelled a human and she went looking for it. She came across two humans, a boy and a girl. She lunged at the young boy first.

Rai saw something out of the corner of his eye as he left the classroom behind him, whatever it was it was moving towards him and it was fast, so he jumped out of the way. Rai quickly looked himself over for injuries before taking up a defensive stance, the thing that had just launched itself at him was not a thing but instead a vampire. His target had just leaped out right in front of him, "Looks like you weren't that hard to find after all" Rai said while smirking. This was the moment he had waited for, his ticket out of this monotonous school life, all he had to do was take this bloodsucker down and everything else would start falling into place. His previously cocky attitude was quickly replaced by a serious and angry demeanor, "TIME TO DIE, PARASITE!" Rai shouted before moving to strike the vampire on her head with his bat.

Eleanor wandered the halls when she noticed a female figure and Rai having a fight. She sighs and prepares to engage the enemy. She had no clue of the deal made between Guren and Rai. She shuts her eyes and focuses on the axe. "Finally my chance...." She opens her eyes and charges towards the two fighting

The female vampire got hit and she stumbled back, then she said, "Your blood will make me strong again!" She lunged at Rai but got pinned by Eleanor's axe. She screeched, blood pouring from her shoulder and then Guren came up and stabbed the vampire with his Cursed Blade and activated the curse, making the vampire disintegrate.

Guren then said to the two, "Congratulations, you two are resourceful and managed to distract it long enough. Welcome to the Moon Demon company."

Rai was not expecting Guren to step in so quickly, he thought that Guren would wait to the last possible moment before he would step in. Guren's words were exactly what Rai wanted to hear all this time, Guren had finally recognized their skill, he'd finally recognized that they were ready. "See? I told you we were ready for this Guren." Rai boasted. The vampire was dead, now they could leave this boring school life behind and start working on that which really mattered, their own training.

Eleanor looks around confused "W-what's happening?... Wait, since when was this a test?" She dropped the axe on the ground and sighs "I doubt that, you never know how determined one can be if they have a reason to succeed" She smirks slightly as she looks up from the ground

"Yeah, Yeah, Whatever, point is we're ready" Rai responded, unconvinced by Guren's words, why would he want to be stuck in this dump when he could be killing vamps! He then turned to Eleanor, "So Guren and I made a deal involving that dead bloodsucker, if we could kill or distract them long enough for Guren to kill it, he'd start our training." Rai explained. " So yeah now we get to do something that isn't pointless schoolwork." he said whilst resting the bat on his shoulder.

Guren chuckled. "Alright then. You get to go to the classes of the cadets where you'll begin your training with weapons."
