Heh, the big number of reservists (compared to the active frontline troops, anyway) is most likely due to compulsory service being in place there and all. As for whether to include them, that's up to you and what the rest of the players are doing. I think it'd be best for the rp if there was some standardized way to count the troops (i.e, everyone counts reserves or nobody does), to avoid confusion and claims of overpowering or whatnot, but that's just a suggestion. (Although not sure how much it matters in the end anyway, unless there's going to be war). And okay, I will stop spamming now for realz, swear.

Indeed, I agree. I guess I'll leave it up to the GM to decide. Again, as you say, I'm not sure it would matter much in the end anyway.

Dutch I assume since when I brought it up you said nothing about incidents with Soviet expulsion that there were no noteworthy ones. I will have the units up that were not transferred back to Soviet control.

You folks are moving at a pace that I will absolutely NEVER be able to keep up with; both the IC an the OOC content. My real life is too damn busy for all this, plus I am in three or four other normal paced RPs. Although, if anyone has questions about how to organize an army, feel free to shoot me a PM. Or anything about militaries in general.

Part of that is due to me, I seem to have caused a bit of a issue when a person disagreed with my actions.

Omg I missed a lot when I was away. To the person who asked, yes you can play Cuba having its revolution since that actually happened. However, you could also choose for it not to have its revolution or have it fail. It's up to you since it's post-1950. For example, I'm East Germany and depending on how things play out maybe the wall won't even end up going up.

As for the other question, for now I'd like if people just count their active troops. Reserves are not as relevant right now.

Alright so I have a rough estimate on gear seized.

-200 Heavy tanks
-1000 Medium tanks
-800 Light Tanks
-500 Self-propelled guns
-7,000 guns and mortars

When I get back to my home computer I will check the old Soviet TO&E's to get more accurate numbers.

Also over 100,000 Soviet soldiers will be POWs in my next post from the following units:

5th Tank Army
7th Tank Army
3rd Tank Corps
10th Tank Corp
20th tank Division
26th Mechanized Division

The following units were returned to the USSR but were stripped of gear
5th Tank Corp
96th Rifle Corps

Dutch if you have an comments or concerns with this I am open as these are your units afterall. I posted these so you can alter your OOB accordingly.

Very well. I'll most likely get something set up for Cuba, kind of timeskipping to the beginning months of the Cuban revolution. The only part of the Cold War that really interested me was the Cuban missile crisis (due to Canada's involvement), so I'll see if I can get some interestingly tense RP going.

That's one of the weirdest things I've ever heard anyone say.

I completely understand where you're coming from on that. But if you look into the tense moments surrounding the Missile Crisis, basically the decisions made in those days by both the NATO countries and the Kremlin prevented nuclear war at a point where both sides could've justified starting it. I suppose I've never read extensively into the other aspects of the Cold War, but this event has always grabbed my attention. And when it comes to Canada's involvement, it shows how unsure of its political position Canada was in those decades, Prime Minister Diefenbaker actually turning Canada's back on the United States and favoring the neutral "peacekeeper" status. Sorry if I sounded idiotic with that vague statement earlier.

Edit: I've posted my Nation Sheet on the thread already, but I'm not quite sure if I should've waited to be accepted to roleplay as that nation first. Or can I hop right into the roleplay and begin posting?

Alright, i already need to edit it as I am pretty sure I am off by an army. Overall personnel numbers will be low if anything as in 1955 the USSR had drawn down down to 100,000 in the area from 300,000 in late 1940s. i just got off work so i am going tosleep and will then pull up the documejts like soviet to&e

We expect this to be a long running game, right? (Taking a short break after four hours of HW on top of a (so far) 20 hour day.)
