Yep. We started in 1950 so I'd imagine it'll continue well into the later decades.

Then I think you might've misunderstood my question from way earlier about fictional characters/leaders. When I asked if I could make up a character who might possibly become a major player in my country later on, I meant like ten or fifteen or even twenty years down the line and I just wanted to start their stories now. Is that still a no fly zone or...?

EDIT: Am I the only one who hasn't posted yet?? Just finished my HW; I'll get started on one immediately.

EDIT: Could've sworn we had a West Germany player... This RP is heavily Warsaw Pact.

EDIT: I chose such a horrible place to start. Basically the only PC I can request help from is the U.S. Really, they're the only PC I could realistically interact with besides Cuba. Stupid Central Atlantic...:( Oh well. I'll get over it...

So we have the Second Warsaw Uprising, the Cuban Revolution come early, and the Israelis managed to get the US to open up the arms factories to them something like seventeen years ahead of schedule. If this RP can manage to stay afloat, ought to be interesting to see what happens. :)

I always prefer the longer posts. Plus, I had to post for four days (one of which I only implied events happening in) because I have to catch up. Plus I wanted to make up for basically everyone else playing two posts. But I think it was the Cold War RP I did with you last time that might've, like, REALLY whipped into me the summaries.

Also, should we maybe start a recruitment thread? I think this has big potential considering the current affairs of the world, and I know I generally don't like joining into RPs that are well under way.

EDIT: And what did you think of my post besides being long, haha? (Twelve Point don't on word it's about 3 and a half pages)

I have heard rumors from sources I trust that it is likely that the Soviets are attempting a coup in Cuba and have moved nuclear warheads into the country to secure their position.

As long as you don't assume it as truth. I'd like to point out I haven't touched Cuba yet and really have no reason to do so.

OOC we all know it's not the truth. Even IC, my character doubts it's even a serious rebellion. But those were actual rumors he heard, and so he decided to use the most... Motivational... Of them.

From what I've read, the Soviets didn't even consider Castro and the Cubans as a potential ally until they established themselves as a Communist State and Fidel himself made an effort to seek the help of the Soviet Union. So I assume we'll RP that we've had no contact to date.

Yep. Despite the story of JFK standing firm against the USSR and forcing them to back down, it was negotiating with Kruschev to take those missiles out of Turkey that stopped the missile crisis.
