Can i say it would probably not work well to have fixed times like 10 posts being a month? Instead I would favor the GM date their posts and we progress at a rate similar to theirs with maybe going no more than a few days ahead.

I don't know a huge amount about Cold War Poland, but if you're going to make any changes I'd suggest not touching anything previous to 1950.
