@Lonewolf685 So. Artoria's supposed to spy out Hilda's place before we attack it. Do you want to hand wave that or roleplay it?

I just got a job this week so I haven't had the time or energy to be keeping up with the OOC or much of anything. Can you fill me in on this attack?

@Lonewolf685 Everyone on Team Demon was like "Hey, you know what, we should go kick in Iona's teeth and take Fran back!"

Windel was then like, "You know, that's a great idea, Lucille orders you all to go kick in Hilda's teeth and take Ira and Victoire back."

Artoria got given the role of scout.

@TheWindel I don't have a link for it.

Eh, I'm haggard, and this butcher shop doesn't give me 30 seconds to rest outside of lunch, so feel free to write without me. We'll just write the interrogation retroactively over the week end.

Are you intending to capture Hildr in the process?

And Artoria does want to steal your eyes, but she's afraid of Lucille, so she'll defer to Lucille's opinion.

I'm going to assume that there are other Pokemon nerds here aside from Birb, and I'm going to post something off-topic.

I'm trying to get a good doubles team together on my copy of Sun, but I've hit a roadblock and desire to train up some more 'mons to use for a potential team.

Right now I have a solid 3 'mons for the future team, with those 'mons being Loan Shark (Garchomp), Shock Hawk (Tapu Koko), and Marvin (Celesteela).

I've hit a rut with my team and I don't know what to add onto it, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to pitch in. I'm considering Oranguru at the moment if it helps at all.

Ah, I see that now. Well if she wants to know what having your soul immoliated feels like, she's free to try, but I don't imagine Lucille would be keen on sharing.

Artoria and Kermit are Lucille's most competent soldiers. She rewards those who listen.

Keep letting Artoria eat and eventually she'll steal a nibble of Lucile. Then the Nexus is Fubar in totality.

@Lonewolf685 I don't know why you're so opposed to Artoria's glorious mission.

Depending on your play style, I've gotten pretty far with my Tsareena (Mainly cuz I'm a weirdo who finds plant girls attractive). Queenly Majesty to prevent priority moves, mostly Fake Out and Protect. Her other moves are Teeter dance for AoC Confusion, Trop Kick as her stab, and Protect if I know there are enemies I can't one-shot. I don't do doubles too often though, though when I do and start with Tsareena I either retrain Teeter Dance with High Jump Kick or, depending if the partner pokemon is not particularly item dependent, just give them a lum berry.

A different, more grindy strategy that you could try but may be difficult for you to pull off in Sun is trying to find yourself a Alola Ninetails. I was able to pull that off on my sister's Pokemon Moon after an hour of hunting. After that just buy TM 70, Aurora Veil, from Heahea City and watch from turn one your Ninetails halves all incoming damage for five turns. Hardly anyone runs brickbreak these days. Granted, as someone who first started in Gen III, this is obviously a more weather focused team. I pair up my Ninetails with a Frolass with snow cloak to summon blizards and set up entry hazards. Beyond that I don't have much else on Ninetails that's very competitive. Blizzard, Dazzling Gleam, and Roar once the Frolass has set up the entry hazards.

I've gone through the struggles of getting an Alolan Ninetails with Snow Warning, Freeze-Dry, Aurora Veil, and Moonblast, and I used it beautifully alongside my Sandslash and they got the job done for a good amount of time. I switched them off the team, but they're still good mons and I will use them if I want to try and run a Hail team.

I may take a lesson from you and use a Tsareena, as the one I had in my main adventure came with either Jolly or Adamant, I can't remember off the top of my head. It could also play a decent support role by carrying Aromatherapy in order to rid the rest of the team of any burdens from Scalds and such.

I tend to run bulkier Pokemon teams, and when I do I don't really care for any speed. My original team from my early competitive days used a Gastrodon, Porygon2, and a Calm Mind Sableye (which worked surprisingly well). Hopefully that'll help with any future advice you have for me.

Thanks by the way.

No problem. Personally I prefer bulky pokemon myself, and back when I was semi-competitive on Omega Ruby, Mega Aggron was my signature pokemon. That being said Aslowla really hurts hard, since I wouldn't consider many of the pokemon in Sun to be particularly bulky. Thus as usual, I game the meta and sought a speed Tsareena. I was looking for a Jolly but ended up with a Hasty, so whatever, it had to do. Now as I said, for Tsareena it really depends how you intend to use her. I actually did a lot of Battle Royales, hence Teeter Dance. Off the top of my mind, the only pokemon I think is safe to use Teeter Dance as your partner (Teeter Dance will hit your allies too) is Lilligant and Mudsdale, however I'm hesitant to run dual grass types, and I find Stamina far more useful than Own Tempo for Mudsdale.

As for bulky pokemon, as odd as this may sound but I've gotten some pretty good wins with my snorlax. I was blessed to get a careful nature (+Sp.Def/-Sp.Atk) with thick fat, effectively giving him resistance against fire and ice. Granted any pokemon with a fighting move tends to one or two hit him, but even other physical attacks don't bring him under half health most of the time (Unless they got stab on a high power move). I've messed with a few different move sets with him and I got two you may be interested in.
