I know that, and Titanica isn't really coming back. But that doesn't mean anyone IC knows that, and Fran saw first hand the destructive powers of lady Godzilla. Fran intends to take advantage of the threat in order to draw attention and stir a bit of confusion (Because at this moment Fran is mostly fighting for herself and not openly cooperating with Endian and Friends).

Unless you're saying that Fran can't use her illusion powers to even summon a fake version of Titanica who can't even do any real damage. Fran is an illusionist after all, not a reality warper. I just try not to tell you when I'm using illusions or not because misdirection and feints don't work nearly as well when you know they're misdirections and feints.

An illusion is fine. The real thing isn't.

Of course. Illusions are all Fran does, though occasionally she likes to layer illusions with the real thing just so you could see through the illusion and still get hit in the face by something. Fireballs are actually bullets and all that.

Did Fran auto-hit Helena?

Illusion. If you see Fran do something impossible or not part of her given abilities, chances are it's an illusion meant to make her seem more competent and dangerous.

Also given the fact that I don't know if Helena even has blood, vampire and all, I just made blood on Fran's axe so it seems like she managed to hurt someone.

That's fine, but make sure it's easy to distinguish to avoid misunderstandings.

Honestly, the misunderstanding is intentional. After all if I just said "btw this is an illusion" then everyone and their dogs will ignore them. By keeping it vague but also questionably possible then people will react to them as if they're real. Especially types like Helena who "shouldn't" be hurt, yet still are, so they'll either need to decide if Fran is just faking it (she is) or if she's actually capable of hurting them (she is).

After all it's a pretty shonen tactic to have the big talker have to try to maintain the illusion that he's as strong as he says he is, and somehow or another through trickery, cunning, and sometimes even real strength, he manages to prove his worth. That's what Fran is here to do, in this character development battle arc.

Tl:dr in order to trick your characters, I need to be able to trick you.

Tricking other players is fine, but the GMs should always be able to tell the difference, because they're the ones who decide whether it's allowed or not.

Question about the swords.

Do they automatically gravitate back to BS? Because if they do I wanna try some Zenyatta shit.

True, but I tend to run into this problem a lot where the players I'm trying to trick are the GM's. Still doesn't change much, aside from the usual reactions when people realized they e been duped or played a fool.

Yes they do. Until you try to control them (as a Machina soldier Bonesword can do this with his mind, everyone not a Machina cannot do this) they just default to throwing themselves at threats. If you want them to do something even if it could endanger you, they'll follow your commands.

So feel free to make Helena experience tranquility or what-have-you.

I guess that I'd better try to clarify Helena's powers as much as I can. After all, by now, your characters were supposed to notice the immense strangeness of Helena's (non)existence, given that she demonstrated it quite clearly before everyone's eyes.

It's no illusion, trick or spell to misdirect any of you. Unless your characters are incredibly dense, instead of the skilled generals and leaders that they claim to be, they wouldn't keep thinking that she's just smoke and mirrors.

Helena simply is a Nobody in Nowhere. I'll make that evident again in my next post. That and the fact that, just like Helena stated and demonstrated, she's playing nice with them.

The fact that you attacked the clock and dispelled the DoT effects of the arena after I asked you to not do it will have consequences in how the fight is handled, though. It was a fair warning made in advance, so I hope none of you have any qualms about suffering the consequences of ignoring it.

We were not suppose to attack the clock? I don't remember being told that. I just figured that the clock was one of the only "real" things around here that could be attacked at all, though Grafdakka's Reality Break might be able to do something if it hits.

Either way, business as usual, no? You try to tell us hints to the fight, communication failure, end the fight with massive casualties and disappointment, blame is tossed, move onto the next fight. Same old same old.

Looking back on it, I thought she meant that Wolf's dispelling on the clock tower wouldn't work, not that we shouldn't attack it. She never specifically said not to attack it.

Edit: And while hitting Helena herself with Reality Break might actually kill her (Big might), as long as she's teleporting around the place I doubt I can land a hit until Wolf can shut down her telespamming.

Our characters were previously exposed to illusions, and they're supposedly still in the realm causing the illusions, and you want us to act like we don't see them as illusions. OOC, we can, but IC all Bonesword sees is fuckery. Fuckery that he doesn't like.

Also, calling it, the clock will wind down to an insta-kill effectively and we'll all put up with it because we're used to it.

If I'm wrong, whatevs. I'm just a pawn at this point and I've accepted my fate.
