Rules

*Rules are enforced and you will be removed if you break them - they may seem strict and harsh but I am a fair Gm as long as communication remains open and honest and people do no take advantage.

General Rules For All Lady A Rp's

• Gm Is Goddess And An Evil GM Overlord
  • Gm has final say on all matters.
  • You must read and follow all the rules at all times
  • Gm does check on posting and log in habits
  • Gm will contact your previous GM's and Rpers for references if she feels it is needed
  • Do NOT insult the GM, the rules, or your fellow Rpers
  • Gm does kick, block, and call out Rpers
  • If you are not joining or interested in the Rp - do NOT post here, period
  • Check Ego's at the door - I do not put up with bullshit, flamers, trolls, whiners, egomaniacs, etc.
  • Applying does not mean acceptance. Gm reserves the right to deny anyone for any reason at anytime
  • Gm does and will request edits to CS and IC posts if things are missed, over looked, or cannot be reasonably explained
  • Gm will work in side quests and story arcs - Just PM them
  • Have an idea or want to keep something under wraps for a time? PM the GM
  • Read through Rpers Guide To Etiquette - This is a good reference for RP Etiquette - It is required reading for the RP and you will be held to everything in it

  • Only GM approved CS's allowed in CS Tab
  • If you submit a Cs and you do not follow the rules and instructions it WILL be denied and not be allowed to be resubmitted with edits. In other words, it is scrapped.
  • Change color code to one not in use (This is required for various reasons)
  • If you have problems with changing out the color code or any of the coding, just pm it to me and I will take care of it for you
  • May not use default CS color, any colors currently in use by active characters or that are close to another characters color
  • Dark or Hard to read colors will not be accepted and will be required to change before a CS is accepted
  • Images are not required but are highly encouraged for visual and music video purposes
  • Remove ~instructions~ on CS before submitting
  • Remove the "." in the [hr.] code before submitting
  • Once Cs's are approved, relation sheet will go up and must be completed and added to CS when stated by the GM
  • Once your CS is approved and posted in the CS tab you may not edit it without first gaining permission from the GM

  • Remember IC and OOC are two different things - keep them separate
  • All actions using skills must be a called action and will require a GM check to see what the outcome is (Depending on the situation, this can be done before you post via pm or after you post a called action in the next world narrative)
  • Language - No Filters
  • Gore - No Filters - This will get gross
  • Taboo subjects will be crossed but will be maintained to fade to black if needed
  • All Lady A Rp's cross certain lines, many subjects are not for the easily offended or triggered
  • Romance:
    
    • Allowed but keep it Pg-13, then fade to black
    • No prestarted couples
    • Don't plan out couples ahead of time
    • Don't force couples
    • Let romance happen naturally without planning - trust me, the wait and work is worth it.
    • If love interests and couples form too quickly in the GM's opinion she is not above instituting a required roll from LLA to see if love can occur or if they end up hating each other just as instantly as they fell in love.
  • Approved and active members of the Rp will be given the link to Lady A's Rp Chat room to better help stay in touch with your fellow Rpers in this RP
  • The world is controlled by the GM - All NPC's, weather, what you see, what you find, what happens, everything. So if it isn't in my post, it didn't happen. If you need more information, either tag the Gm in OOC or drop a PM. Assume nothing.
  • All skills and attempts for things must be sent to the GM for rolls to deem success or failure.
  • Randomization and LLA is used in this RP - Please refer to my tutorial for a description if you are new to this concept
• Posting Habits
  • You are not allowed to use @Mention Tags or Interacting With Headers In IC.
  • You are not allowed to copy and paste anything another character has said or posted in a previous post in your posts
  • Uniform Headers for Character must by used in IC posts (code provided below)
  • No Fontmeme or the like is allowed for IC or CS's
  • Your characters personal color code must be used for dialog
  • Minimal of 2 well developed paragraphs per post
  • If you are running more than 1 character at once, your required paragraph total is equal to 2 paragraphs times number of characters. (Example - 3 characters in one post would be 6 paragraphs total required for the post.)
  • Must IC post once every 7 days (It is your job to keep up with when you need to post. Your last post hits Day 8 and I remove you from the RP.)
  • If you need additional time to post you must notify the Gm by day 5 of your counter. Extensions will not be granted after that. I will try to work with you but only if you are up front, honest, and keep the lines of communication open. Real life comes first but joining this Rp means you know and respect what is expected of you and your fellow RPers. (You aren't the only one with a life)
  • I do not accept "no inspiration" as a reason not to post
  • I do not accept "waiting for someone else to post" as a reason not to post
  • I do not accept "I have nothing to post" as a reason not to post
  • Keep up with all IC and OOC posts - This means read them all, I do random checks on this. Miss enough things and you will be removed.
  • No spamming OOC - Seriously, I will gut you
  • If you are holding up the RP and joining other Rp's you will be called on it
  • Minimal 2 posts between your last
  • No editing a post in IC once it has been posted without first getting permission from the GM
  • If an edit is required to your last post it must be done before day 8 on your previous posts counter or you will be removed. (Posts that need editing are considered incomplete.)
  • If a Gm calls for an edit that is your ~permission~ to edit
  • No Editing IC/OOC/CS posts if you leave or are removed from the RP
  • There is no additional time granted due to forum glitches unless the forum is fully down for more than 3 days. A week to post is plenty of time even if the forum glitches a day or two
  • Collabs
    • Must tag the Gm in OOC to notify her that you are collabing and who are you are collabing with by day 5 of the highest counter
    • Collabs may not be started after your day 5 counter
    • If you are collabing and your partner vanishes or does not reply, you must finish the collab and post it before the timer runs out
    • If your collab partner vanishes you are granted temporary minimal bunnying privileges to complete the collab
    • If your collab partner vanishes, you need to make the Gm aware so it does not count against you
  • Know your personal posting limitations before applying to join - Work gives you a schedule, schools let you know when finals are coming, plan around these things
  • You may withdraw from the RP at any time and be put on Hiatus for an extended amount of time if your schedule becomes over whelming. You are allowed 1 Hiatus per year.
  • If you join other Rp's while on Hiatus you will not be admitted back to the Rp and will be considered ~kicked~
  • If you flake out, ghost, or are kicked from the RP the GM takes control of your character and it becomes general NPC property of the RP. The character may just be shelved, might be killed, or turned over to another Rper. (So if you are going to drop this RP, just post you are leaving to keep this from happening.)
• Spots are not first come first serve
  • Gm will review completed CS first
  • Gm will then notify you if you are approved
  • Character deaths will happen, no one is safe - it will be randomized and you will be notified when your death approaches. (This does not mean you are out of the RP, it will mean however you need to make a new character should you wish to continue - I recommend having Back Up Characters Ready)
  • I am looking for long term highly dedicated Rpers. My Rps tend to run a minimal of one year, so be prepared for it!
  • This RP is within the Lady A Universe Timeline 'Verse
• Rules and Cs sheet will be added to and changed as need be depending on problems or points that come up.
• Under Extras in your CS post a link to a post you have done in the past on this forum. If you submit a CS without this it will be declined
• Special - To New Comers To The Guild - Pm The Gm about what you can place under extras instead of a link to an RP post on this forum

Special Rules For After Miranda

• This Rp is based on the TV Show Firefly
  • It occurs after the events of the movie Serenity
  • You cannot use a character or a Face Claim from the Series or the Movie
  • NO Rivers!
• Cases
  • Case Method will be used in this RP from time to time
  • Counters for Cases will begin when the WN with the case in it
  • Counters for Cases differ from the usual 7 day counter depending on the Case - How many days you have for a case will be posted in the case file
  • Cases are collab work between you, whoever else is assigned to your case and the GM - In PM for rolls and updates
  • Cases are a newer method and give much more control to the RPer - if you have questions ask. If this is your first time dealing with cases, do NOT worry. The GM will walk you through it
• Rpers may start out with 1 character and 1 back up character
• Rpers in Good Standing with Lady A may begin with 2 Characters and however many back up characters you think you'll want to have
• Additional Characters may be brought in later depending on various things, PM the GM if you wish to do this after a minimal of 3 months of IC for review
• This is a slice of life rp
  • Real Life cause and effect will be in place
  • Realistic Character Sheets Only
  • Things like jobs and skills must fit with characters back story
  • Backgrounds must be reasonable! The younger the character, the less you know. Remember this! No Prodigies!
• Cussing in Chinese is encouraged
• If you wish your character to have "connections" please run it by the GM first to ensure it is acceptable and isn't already being done by another.
• Minimal Character Age is 21 For This
• You may use characters from previous RP's but must ask GM before hand if it is okay
  • Previously used characters must be redone to fit current CS sheet
  • Previous RP relations are stripped clean
  • Once Cs's are approved, relation sheet will go up and must be completed and added to CS - This is not required to late comers to the RP as you wouldn't know someone at this point.
  • PM other approved characters to work out your relations.
• Under Extras in your CS post your favorite character from the original series!

Skills

• Rolls must be requested for any action in an RP
• Don't assume just because your character is capable of something that it has been rolled for
• Rolls must be requested by 5 of your general counter except in the following circumstances
  • In a case - roll counters are done on an individual case basis.
  • You are on day 5 when an update comes in. You have 24 hours to get a request in then.
• When making a request be sure to include all information
  • Character name
  • Characters current location
  • Characters attempted actions
  • Any and all skills being used
  • Why each skill is being called
  • Desired location if the character is attempting to move from point A to point B
• Skill Rolls
  • These are ONLY skills your character has listed in their CS
  • These MUST be listed in your header if you make a roll request
  • They MUST be listed EXACTLY as you have listed in your CS
  • Having the skill and calling a roll for it gives you certain bonuses to success
  • Example:
    • Gavin is currently sitting looking through his scope on the green near the lake. He is going to attempt to shoot the Edenite that is on the top of the wall, closest one to him. He is using his Rifle and Sniper Rifle Skills for this to take aim and to fire. He is using his people reading skill to supplement them in hopes of knowing if the person is going to run right before he fires. he is NOT moving from his current location at this time.
  General Rolls
  • These are for skills not listed in your characters CS
  • These are general attempts
  • They do NOT get listed in your header
  • When you call for one, you must let the GM know your character does not possess this skill.
  • These can be used for a general light bulb, to attempting something new, and so forth.
  • Example:
    • Zoie is currently in the main hosting area of the party at Queensguard. No skills are being used. I need a general observation and perception check to see if anyone is keeping an eye on her or if anything seems out of place. She needs to get to a private location so she can try to execute the plan to get information on Cynthia Ross. So general mental check to see if any points of exit come to mind. If she gets an idea she will be attempting to leave the scene, if not she will hold position.

Premise

Mr. Universe said nothing can stop the signal. He was right. The recordings from what happened on Miranda were sent out and flooded the 'Verse. Everyone knew now. They knew of the Pax, how it destroyed so many lives, how it created the Reavers, how the Alliance was behind it. We now have seen what a world without Sin truly looked like. It was anything but the paradise that some had hoped for. Nothing can stop the signal.

It has been three years since the crew of Serenity sent out the signal and lost several of their own in the fight to do so. A new war has broken out, the Browncoats had pulled back together to stop the Alliance with more fervor than ever. They have more behind them than ever and even more opposing them. Many of the population has rioted against the Alliance for what they have done, a veil pulled off from over their eyes to see the truth. Yet some still cling to what the Alliance feeds them.

The crew of Serenity is still out there, somewhere, but do not be concerned about them. Right now, your job is to chose a side and to survive.

Overview

Setting: The 'Verse
Time Frame: 3 years after Miranda's fate was broadcast
Rp Tags: Sci-fi, Fandom, Space Western, High Casual, Large Group, Character Driven, Military, Slice-Of-Life
Type Of RP: A Twist on the Firefly Fandom set at the beginning of a new war that has broken out between the Browncoats and the Alliance.

We started out in two divisions; The Alliance (The Retribution) and The Browncoats (The Vengeance) but things have changed. The Vengeance went down but she didn't stay down. The crew that remained took over the Alliance vessel the Retribution, Anisa Crowe is now captain. Quinn is dead. But that doesn't mean things are unified.

The Alliance was made up of the rich and powerful, those that are fighting for unification still to this day. They will do anything to stop the signal and to put an end to the Independents known as Browncoats once and for all. People in the Alliance have lived privileged lives. Never having gone hungry. They are highly educated in their fields and some can be quite ruthless in their tactics.

The Crew Of Vengeance were a mixed bunch. Most were Browncoats, some fought in the previous war. All are smugglers at this point no matter what brought them onto the ship. Most will have a record with the Alliance and be targets; though a handful may not. This crew has been together and took over much of Serenity's known stopping points after Miranda was released. A rag tag group of people that some are not sure they want to be part of this war or not yet, but they stuck together because Vengeance was home.

Yet now, they are combined onto one Ship known as the Prometheus. Captain Crowe is in charge but some might wonder just how long that will be and if the crew will remain together. There is a chance that while new comers are coming aboard, old faces might go their separate ways.

War is raging on many of the planets. The Rim planets are nearly over run with a sudden rise in the Reaver Population. People are fighting to stay alive or to die before the Reavers get them. The Border planets are constantly either under attack by the Alliance because they rebelled or switching sides so quickly no one knows where they stand. The Core has even broken out in war and rebellion this time. Many of the planets wanting to break free of the Alliances control, while others are standing strong and refusing to leave; fighting for unification and providing much of the Alliances weapons and military force.

What will happen is up to you. How you react to the situations, what information you can gather for what ever side you are playing for, what goods and services you can get together. Thing is, even though a war is ragging, you still have to survive life itself. Even if you are in a zone where it is peaceful low food, fuel and supply stocks are constantly plaguing the Browncoats. The Alliance is not without problem either; with the sudden shift of some people you never know who you can trust; your best friend, your wife, could suddenly turn on you. High ranking Alliance members are dropping like flies and no one knows who is doing the killing yet.

Now, get your shit together and let's get moving. The 'Verse is counting on you.

Personal Style: From the way he looks, it'd be pretty clear to see that the war never quite ended for Jackson. He always wears his necklace, cares more about it than his holster, though he keeps it under his shirt around those he doesn't completely trust.

His hair is cut short in a standard military fashion, and he is always clean shaven. He makes at least somewhat of an effort to keep himself groomed, but he isn't too much of a stickler for it, on a rough day, which is rather often, he'll at least have a little stubble. He doesn't particularly bother to style his hair, or anything fancy, Jackson has never been particularly fussed over his appearance.

Personality: Jackson is a tough, but all-in-all good man. He sees the 'Verse as he believes it should be, and not as it is, and often takes actions to the benefit of others, even at risk to himself. He believes as long as he's one of the 'good guys' he can't really lose, and so he's been noted as fairly overconfident as well. He is fiercely loyal, and for those few who have earned his loyalty, he will never betray them as long as he lives, he lives by a harsh code, and has no intent to break it.

The war changed a great deal about Jackson, once a friendly and open man, he's since become closed off, and dismissive of a great many things. He will avoid any possibility of speaking about the Unification War, and anyone who brings up his wife is likely to get a fist across the jaw. To even come close to mentioning these things, or to talk about them with Jackson - one would have to have worked a long time, and worked very hard to get close to him. From time to time his old self does still shine through, mostly through the wiseass remarks that he makes, usually when he's on-edge.

History

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Jackson had as much of a reason as anyone else from Shadow to sign up with the Browncoats. A simple and normal life cut short by horrific bombing which turned his home, and the homes of those close to him to ash. He signed up with the Browncoats to try and protect whoever he did still care about that was left. That was a purpose he failed in many times throughout the war and even afterward, now he just holds to that as well as he can, despite failures.

History: Born to a pair of simple horse-ranchers, Jackson was on the fast-track for the simple life, he had no desire for the fancier side of the 'Verse, the more civilized worlds like Persephone had nothing alluring for Jackson. He loved the open sky, the dirt and the green of the border worlds. He grew up alongside Anisa Crowe, a girl from the neighbouring Cattle Ranch who was the same age as him. The two of them were good friends, helping out on each other's ranches and spending a great deal of their free time together.

When the war came, and the bombings with it, Jackson had been on his way to the Crowe family's ranch when it was destroyed. He watched from a distance as the bombardment completely destroyed the ranch, and he could do nothing to stop it. Initially believing his friend Anisa to be dead, he went to the ruins to try and salvage any remains to bury, but Anisa came back to find the destruction. For a while, Jackson's own home managed to avoid damage. When Jackson did sign up with the Independents, he did it alongside Anisa, being placed into the 32nd Overlanders Regiment.

Jackson rose through the ranks quickly through the war, and within the 32nd he met the woman who would become his wife. They married half-way through the war in a small service on leave. Toward the end of the war, just before the battle of Serenity Valley, Jackson took part in a major operation, his first as a Lieutenant, and although he got his unit out without casualties, he was badly wounded when a large piece of shrapnel pierced his leg, just barely missing the artery.

His wound meant that Jackson was unable to participate in the Battle of Serenity Valley, but he did still see it burn. Taking part in the evacuation, Jackson was on the shuttle which picked up Anisa, she was the one who had the unfortunate task of letting Jackson know of his wife's death during the battle. Immediately after the battle, the 32nd Overlanders was disbanded, Jackson had been the only remaining survivor, the regiment entirely wiped out during the battle of Serenity Valley.

After the war, Jackson wandered for a while, he helped bury his wife at the Serenity Graveyard on Hera, but otherwise did nothing for a long while. That was until Anisa got in touch with him again, having just picked up a Firefly Class, she needed a First Mate for her crew, and Jackson had been her first pick for the job. Having not much else he could have done, and no where else to really go, Jackson accepted, happy for the work, and happy to keep doing things until he forgets about everything behind him.

Lucas had only been to the United States a few times, once as a tourist during his years at University, only spending his time in Los Angeles, and once more for work, infiltrating the Irish mob in Boston. Both times he'd only spent his stay within the city, so this was his first time experiencing the countryside - and he had to admit, it had a great beauty to it, but perhaps that had to do with the stunning, decadent and massive mansion he and Risa had just arrived at.

Risa leaned back in her seat, her arm laced through Lucas's as she looked out the window. She had spent much more time in New York than he had, having to attend multiple events over the years with the U.N. She preferred D.C. but she had to admit the scenery was beautiful. Looking at the mansion as they arrived she sat up and adjusted her dress some, she hated the thing and could not wait to change; having several sets of clothing stashed in various places so she could get out of the dress as quickly as possible.

"Y'think they'll let me keep the car?" Lucas asked idly, running his hands over the steering wheel one last time before he opened the door to step out.

"Only if we dent it, then maybe," she chuckled as she looked over towards him. Argus had generously provided them with a BMW i8 for the drive out to Braun's mansion, one with a few agent-worthy modifications of course, and gorgeous enough to allow Lucas and Risa to fit into the shoes they were supposed to be filling, a couple of millionaire party-goers. Closing the door behind him, he moved over to her side of the car, gently opening the door as he held a hand out toward her, a half-smile gracing his face as he watched her, waiting to help her out of the car. Rise smiled gently towards him as she rested her hand in his and stepped out of the car, her dress cascading down her body as her thick braid rested on her shoulder.

"Don't know why you kick up such a fuss about the dress, I think you look stunning." Lucas commented idly with a smirk, closing the door behind her once she was out and locking it as he moved toward the entrance, following a few other couples in.

"I still say you should be wearing this, would provide for a greater diversion," she whispered against his ear.

It wasn't hard to pick out the killers, thieves and drug lords from the other guests, they all had the same knowing looks, and each seemed far less pleased to be there than the millionaires and movie stars. The latter was a mold which Lucas fit in to surprisingly well, considering his past, a smile on his face as a waiter approached the pair, asking for any specific drinks the two desired.

"I'll have a glass of the best whisky on offer, on the rocks." Lucas established simply, he wasn't usually one for fancy drinks, and wasn't going to conform to the stereotype by getting something as silly as a Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred. Shifting his gaze over to Risa momentarily, he allowed her to make her order while he shifted his gaze over the gala, it didn't take long for him to spot Mr. Braun, the man was greeting a few of the individuals who'd come in just before them, no doubt he'd approach the two in a similar manner.

"Yes, Cognac: Martin, Louis Xiii," she said with a curt nod before turning her attention back towards the Gala, her eyes falling on Braun.

Hearing as the waiter gave a 'very good' to their orders and moved off, Lucas smiled as he held out his arm to Risa, letting her take it before he moved down the stairs to the main event, the sound of chatter only barely overpowering the sound of the band toward the back of the room.

"You went to these kind of things often? I could get used to parties like these." Lucas commented as he glanced around, forgetting for a moment or two that he was there to work, not play. He'd spotted the security, larger men in the same black suits, no visible weapons but on a few, Lucas could spot the telltale lump of a concealed weapon, from the shape, he figured an MP7, or something similar, he doubted he'd end up in a gunfight that night, but the heavy armament was something to note, nonetheless.

"Yes, all too often for my tastes," she said with a smirk as she stood there with her arm laced through his. "And trust me my dear, you'll be hating it quickly I imagine, especially once you have to mingle," she snickered. She knew how much Lucas hated the uppity types and this place was spilling over with them.

Lucas went to make on of his usual vomiting noises, but forced himself not to at the risk of drawing some unwanted attention from the other party-goers. A momentary smirk gracing his face, he decided to repay the sort of teasing she had been giving him, leaning over to hover his lips by her ear.

"I'm sure it won't be all bad - some good looking women, after all." Lucas smirked, shifting his gaze over to the Waiter as he returned, taking his drink with his free hand and taking a long drink, a slight and momentary sneer on his face as he felt the sharp sting of the high-class, top shelf whiskey running down his throat.

"Yes there are, and some very handsome men. I wonder if there is a couple that would like to play tonight," Risa said without missing a beat as she took her glass off the waiters tray and swirled it slowly as it warmed against the palm of her hand. "I am sure there are some who wouldn't mind me not wearing this getup," she said as she glanced over towards Lucas, teasing him before she took a slow sip. As much as she taunted the man, it was always in jest towards him. Neither of them seemed to take the others threats seriously. Neither was the jealous type and Risa was more than secure; self confidence was something neither of them lacked.

Braun was still eagerly chatting with a few of the other guests, not that Lucas was displeased, he had no real desire to speak to the man at all if he could avoid it, or any other guest for that matter. Just as Risa had said, his enjoyment would rapidly dissipate once he was chatting to the other snobs who were present.

"Y'know, everyone here looks like a near carbon-copy of Oliver," Lucas groaned quietly, forcing himself to hide the sneer which threatened to reveal itself. "Hell, even I look like the bastard." He continued in a hushed tone, glancing down to his own attire. He'd been provided with a rather fanciful velvet smoking jacket, which while visually appealing, was still a bit high-end for Lucas' taste, the black bow tie around his neck was tight enough to be giving his neck a light squeeze, but just loose enough to be comfortable. Either way, he figured he had the better end of the deal not being in her dress.

"Hardly," she whispered as she leaned against him, taking another sip. "I'll go deal with our host, you just wait for my signal," she said before brushing her lips against his cheek and sauntering off. Her hips swaying as she made her way over towards their host with a graceful smile playing on her lips.

And i'd be hard-pressed to decide between Mal and Wash.

History

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Though the battle between the Alliance and the Browncoats rage on, as a Companion, Genevieve cannot be choosey as to who she pledges her allegiance to. She feels that both sides have their benefits and their faults. Though she aligns herself with a Browncoat vessel, she remains unbiased. She may feel more strongly towards the Browncoats and their efforts, but her Guild still remains loyal to the Alliance. She prefers to remain this way unless drastic events change her opinion.
History: Genevieve was set out to be a Companion from a young age. Like most other boys and girls her age she was bred and taught to be the best. Her parents were well off and wanted the best for their only daughter. She was taught and wanted to learn as much as she can, taking much pleasure in learning dance and music, but quickly grasping psychology. Despite the harsh testing, Genevieve passed and was sent on to learn the art of Companionship.

Having learned and achieved her license, Genevieve began her work. She quickly made a name of herself in her home planet and was invited to many parties and social events and built an incredible clientele list. Her clients were impressed with her grasp on psychology and how she was able to help alleviate their problems and grant them a truly immeasurable experience. She continued to serve until she met a man named Dom Treyvor.

Dom passed the tests and paid the fee for Genevieve's services. The evening started off well enough with tickets to a show. Genevieve brought Dom back to her suite to continue the services. Preferring to start things off with some music and talk, Dom had other plans and quickly became aggressive, wanting to end their night. Genevieve tried her best to force Dom off, but the man proved too strong for her and forced her on her bed, preparing to have his way. Genevieve fought back hard, scratching the man's face and kicking him off. She grabbed the nearest thing she could, a lamp, and swung it at him, knocking the man out cold.

The events left a scar on Genevieve's otherwise perfect life. Dom ended with a black mark on his name and was taken away by authorities while Genevieve took some much needed rest. The situation became all to real to her, she wasn't safe. Much like courtesans in the past, she could be victimized, even with extensive martial arts training. She became too sheltered, to safe. So she set out to volunteer her time with a ship. Many luxury liners wanted her services, but she turned them down. It wasn't until she met with the Vengeance that she decided the ship could make use of her.

Now she travels with them and their adventures, helping with her Companion training and her lifestyle.

@FantasyChic Okay, a few things with the CS. The skills, they have to be ones listed in the skill list. Like Culture isn't on the list, neither is Love Play. Now Psych is but it is a specialised skill. So to have it you would have to have Social Sciences listed under General and then Psych under Speciality. A lot of the skills you have listed just aren't on the available list. Need to go back on those and rework it.

Also, under the characters Psychology, there isn't anything really negative. All characters, or people, in general have things that are bad about them. I suppose on how you look at it delicate and extravagant could be taken as negative but see about trading one of positive ones out in the top for something a bit more tangible. Now that doesn't mean she would lose a positive trait, that can still be in the personality paragraphs.

Also, did you want her to be like Inara in the fact she rents one of the personal shuttles? If so, you will want to make sure that she has the skill listed to pilot it.

With relations, don't worry. You are right to wait on those since each one you would work it out with the other player. (Example Pundii and I spoke about our characters history's and working it in together to have them know each other from their home worlds.)

@Lady Amalthea, I'm not entirely clear on one thing about the skill list. Engineer is a specialty skill with its own set of subdivisions, but Mechanic lacks the specialties yet says it's the same as Engineering. Would it be fair then to say that mechanic is a reactive skill allowing characters to fix broken objects whereas engineering would be proactive allowing characters to devise and completely create new devices given the proper materials?

@Lord Wraith Mechanic Specialties would be the same as the Engineering Specialties just as you stated Engineering is creating new devices or upgrading them while mechanics would be fixing. Think of it as the difference between an Architect and a Carpenter. The architect would design the building, the carpenter would build it.

@Lady Amalthea oh I must have missed the skill list there, my bad ill work on it. Also the last three traits I put were under negative traits when I googled it, but I can rework it. And I'll add the pilot skill when I redo the skills.
