Next up to post should be Rend, but it seems like @Eru Iluvatar has been pretty busy the past few days because of gross real life stuff as well.

Now, I could use some clarification, @beyond visions We ARE from a fancy sci-fi technology future, is that correct? I recall hearing things about jetpacks, laser guns, cybernetic arms. Is this the case?

In which case, I've been laying down some technology.

-FREV-R
-3D printed food
-Reclamants with grain sorters
-Self-repairing systems

Stuff like that.

However, I keep hearing that this future is remarkably similar to the world we are in right now.
-malls being the only place to buy things
-an ignorance on repairing ship technology
-"Maybe there is something about how to repair the cryo units in the library"
-printers with paper
-etc...

So, don't take this as a gripe, I'm cool with it either way. However, I could use some clarification so that I don't drag us way off track.

@Deserted So yes, future technology is out there, but the technology we use today on our real world time, has not completely been forgotten nor abandoned. It is a reason why in the interest check gave the year of 2052. So everything you have so far mentioned has been awesome and I have no quarrels about it, so feel free to continue to take us there.

Okay, I was kind of doing a Popular Mechanics/Science sort of feel.

So basically 3D printing is going to change things radically because you will only need material, a file, and a printer in order make anything you want. Currently there are plans to make 3D printers that print in multiple mediums and use lasers to fuse the particles instead of just plastic. When this happens, you will pay to buy a file and raw materials, and then print it out... custom orders will also be possible to make it however you want. (For example, cell phones with custom hardware, sizes, etc...)

In addition, I was saying that recycling (a reclamant and grain sorter) grinds everything down into microscopic dust particles that are then sorted in accordance to harmonics and then stored for re-purposing in a 3D printer. I was also figuring that 3D printed fabric is super cool and could seriously change the clothing market as well... especially on a microscopic level.

Is it okay to have that sort of thing on the ship and/or the norm?

I think we should all just start fighting each other until someone walks out with a shotgun and fires it into the ceiling and is going to say "Alright, now that I have your attention..." but instead breeches the hull and we all get sucked out into space. What do you all say?

There is absolutely no rush. This only dies if we make it, time is not a factor. By the end we will look back and see a story, as well-crafted as possible, not just a list of time-stamps. We are waiting on me at the moment, but I'm pretty busy with other things, things that are draining my creative energies to write a good post, and my energy in general. I'm sorry to keep you all waiting, but I have to ask for your patience - as this is quite low down in my priorities for the moment, but I am by no means intent on just giving up on my character and our story. Good things come to those who wait.

Ya'll are the best. I really dig this RP, and you dudes made some rad characters. If we gotta go slow for awhile, we gotta go slow for awhile. I've been in RPs where a month goes by without a post while people slowly work on collabs, other games, and real life, but we all come back to move the story on when we're able to. Of course, I get @Deserted's concern. I think we've all been in too many cool RPs that die off before they meet their full potential, and I sure as hell don't want that to be this one.

I play because I find it fun. I don't know about the rest of you, but it supercharges my batteries and refreshes me. It makes me deal with real-life stuff way better and de-stresses me so that I'm ready for my next beating the world is dishing out. No offense, but I totally don't get having to be "in the mood" or having "creative energies tapped."

I'm told to shut up, do stuff I don't want to and I do the hard work to make someone else's vision come to life. I have to deal with that all day long. So when I get to be myself, you bet I jump at the chance no matter what's going on in my life. I don't know if I'm just nuts or if other people roleplay because they don't have anything better to do or what, but about every game I've been in seems like I'm the only one eager to play.

Sorry, guys, I kind of disappeared for two days when I try to log in at least once a day. I promise, it does not usually happen. And hey, I'm still totally down for waiting for @Eru Iluvatar. Roleplays with posts that come by fast keeps me on my toes and ready, but I also have learned to have an appreciation for even the slower roleplays. When a group of players can still stay with each other even in those slow times, it says something pretty special about the story being told and about the characters we have created.
