- Lukas Kunze -

The class day seemed to persist for quite some time, though his own focus persisted through versus some of the other students... though he did often revolve his head to see how Lyssa was doing. From what he denoted, Lukas was pretty sure most of the time he looked back she was relishing her clothes instead of taking the study seriously. Regardless, even if some of this information he was familiar with, he made sure to mark what the teacher sounded out to be as the prime focus.

Spinning the pen around, he also made sure to take notes over some of the other students; couldn't hurt to be overly cautious, especially of the nobles. Lukas didn't intend for them to discover who he was and he was going to make sure that he wouldn't be subjected to any bullying.

In any case, once class came to an end, he glanced around, noting some of the mild chatter as he closed his book. Now it was time to reclaim what was his; he began feeling around the area where he left his items and much to his relief, the luggage was still in place. Walking quickly to the same area, he would wink or make a simple quip at a common girl that would be counted as flirting.

... at least no nobility would see any of these brazen attempts.

Lukas was surprised when he lady sitting with another man upped it and began courting another of the same sex... while he didn't exactly come to mind this, Lukas knew that sort of act was... frowned upon due to the church, but then again, his ideology differed. Along with that, the precept of the church was still persistent, but weakening, though that thought was for another time. He smiled, chuckling under his breath, though he was able to catch the slap, which made him cringe slightly and touch his own.

Yeesh.

Regardless, he managed to garner his stuff and quickly bring them back to the private suites for nobles. As he located his room, Lukas was charged with questions with those occupying the space. He told them the same lie - he was a servant of one of the nobles, he was also at the school to keep an eye on the young master, and that he had to hurry up before he was in trouble. It was the sort of thing that made him mentally irritated.

For the most part he was let off the hook, though he was harassed from time to time by his, erm, "social class." It was efficient, at least?

Thankfully, all of his items were settled into his room, though he had to go through and start organizing everything, for this was his new home for the coming years. Spending time multitasking, he began to set up some of the clothes in the closet with Telekinesis, lined the shelves with his own literature he had collected, and organize his blades.

All while he was polishing one of the finest pieces of steel, he pondered on what he should wear to his date tonight. Whistling a tune to himself, he swiftly sheathed the sword and arranged them with the others. Grunting and stretching, he went over to the closet and procured one of his dress clothes and began to change into them.

Going to the mirror, he stared in disgust at the golden lining, elaborate swirly patterns, shapes, and crosses going down the piece vertically. The shade's and hue stayed nearly constant, deviating for brown and white features. The sleeves went down directly to his wrists, along wi-

"Ugh, anything else," he grumbled in contempt as he got the item off. That looked way too out of place for a noble and would certainly raise suspicion in Lyssa's eye... along with that, he just utterly despised it; these frilly clothes weren't his style and the others didn't work. It was either one of the few articles of wear he disliked or his usual attire.

Looks like he had no choice but to change back into his normal clothes. Going shirtless, he made sure it was neatly hung up before putting back his whitish-brown shirt. Now what he had to do was figure out what to do; he had a plethora of things to do and did promise lunch and dinner... though he was sorely tempted to "spar" with himself or grab a quick read.

Opening is small booklet, he analyzed the information on it before slapping it closed with resolution. Grabbing some gold and his satchel, he also made sure to bring along his notepad, just in case he needed to... "entertain" himself whilst waiting. Next, he clipped two blades onto his being; one as his main and one as a spare. Making sure everything was locked, he then proceeded to open the window. Using his powers, Lukas centered his shoes and just about everything on his torso to legs to the structure. Finally locking up his window (or closing them at the most), he jumped off, landing with a small *pap* on the grass below.

Retrieving his journal, he began going over the facial features he found were of substance to him. Memorizing this all would be the next step, then the facade. Walking to town, he kept his nose primed on the book, though he was interested in one thing.

What was Lyssa up to? Other than the short lunch, he didn't even get the chance to speak with her after they departed, though she probably was just busy. He had faith she wouldn't deviate from the schedule, though he decided now would be a grand time to opt over where they would dine! Fancy, plain, or in the middle? Maybe some place with meat and vegetables? Flurries of notions rushed through his head for the moment as he pocketed the book and began learning more about the area.

Gotta make a truly lasting impression on the girl, ey?

~Gwynn FoghlĂș~

Gwynn rolled her eyes, sighing as the ice crystal suddenly poofed into smaller fragments of snow as Maoin went about the room. She took the decorative sheathe, frowning slightly at it. She wasn't really a fan of such...pompous looking things. Oh sure, it can look pretty all it wanted too but unless it did its job right she wasn't a fan for needless decoration. She could understand looking her best for the general populace if she was talking in front of a crowd or something, but otherwise?...bah. She'd let Maoin to what she pleased though, that is what she promised after all.

So she took the decorative dagger sheathe and strapped it to her side.

And then she saw the dress, and she visibly cringed.

"I feel like I'm selling my soul to some devil if I'm going to be wearing that thing." She grumbled, though she didn't give any real complaints as she stood up off the bed. The blond walked over to the mirror where Maoin was preparing everything, and upon noticing the makeup and other accessories, grimaced once again. "Ugh, is all of this even necessary, Maoin?" She asked, leaning on the chair. "I'm pretty enough as it is, I'd rather not kill the guy with my looks before he even has a chance to get off a comment about it." She chuckled, giving Maoin a grin, before shaking her head with a sigh.

"Well, get this over with I guess. Just...go easy on the makeup, alright? I don't want to spend an hour washing it off."

She really didn't sound excited about this.

Lunalel Lightsword

After Maoin left, Luna had little to do. Classes were over anyway so now was free time. She wasn't all too use to free time, honestly. The life of a Lightsword noble wasn't wholy demanding or anything, but she spent a lot of her time either training or doing the various things of nobility. For now though, she felt hungry. After the long day, the best idea for her might be to eat and go rest for the next day. Where was the nearest eatery? She had no real idea seeing as she had just gotten here in the last day. She had ate before, but it was a little. . . Low quality. She'd not want to eat at. . . Whatever it was. . . Again. She had money, so she cared little for the price.

Katherine Lindall

"I care little for silly gods and their predispotion against demons. I also care little for demons other than the fact many of the strongest could melt my face right off in a heartbeat." Katherine said aloud. She felt she was a bit of special case with what Aetheria had said. The Doll-Master felt that anyone that played with the dead like her or Livia could hardly be religious. Not with the way the biggest ones were like. Her dolls played around on the floor a bit, while one sat on the table in front of Katherine and yet another carried a water pitcher around for anyone that had a glass and wanted water. No one could say Katherine was inconsiderate could they?

She took a few seconds to scan the expressions around the room. No one seemed to have a major problem, then again, it was Livia telling them this. She was about as scary as a demon at times. Katherine had some assumptions about her at first, but it seemed she was. . . Well, maybe a little more than human. That woman was secretive even to those she had close ties with. Not that Katherine didn't understand. . . Regardless, she continued what she was saying, "So do tell, Headmistress, what will we have to do with Demons for you to be saying this? I think I can assume that much."

Maoin heard the distress in the voice of her mistress, but if the noblewoman would be cooperative that was enough for her. The neko moved the chair out of the way for a few moments as she removed the dirty green dress from her mistress along with the remainder of her clothes. Despite sitting in the mud, her mistress was suitably clean for the most part. The cat used a small washcloth to clean any signs of dirt, before seeming satisfied with her owner's appearance.

After helping her charge into the dress, Maoin tightened it enough so it would show Gwynn's curves but not so much that it would restrict her breathing. Satisfied, the kitten helped put the dagger around her waist with a sash, placed earrings into ears, along with all the other basic stuff. Then Gwynn was sat down onto the chair as to not tire her out.

While the cat said very few words throughout the entire process, her tail swished back and forth as she worked makeup onto Gwynn's face. Some concealer, mascara, lipstick ... maybe a mit of blush. Perhaps a pearl bracelet on her right wrist? Maybe gold would be better?

After she was done, Gwynn would likely find the dress surprisingly comfortable despite it's formal appearance. As for the rest of her ... Maoin had a sense of magic with makeup, and the word 'stunning' was insufficient to describe the elegant work she did. "Mistress, you should dress this way more often. You really have a lot of potential as a fine lady." A smile crossed the familiar's face as her mission for the day was accomplished. "It is time for me to escort you there. I'm sure you'll have a blast!" The neko extended a hand to help her mistress out of the chair.

Aside from her usual brand of small complaints, Gwynn said nothing and let Maoin do her work. Honestly, she felt a little bit smothered at the moment. Like she was some child that needed to be coddled. As much as Maoin seemed to enjoy this, she most certainly was not. At least by the time the kitten was finished, the dress proved...surprisingly easy to move in. Couldn't exactly beat a easy to breathe in set of comfortable casual wear or a light suit of armor, but it wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be.

"Mistress, you should dress this way more often. You really have a lot of potential as a fine lady. It is time for me to escort you there. I'm sure you'll have a blast!"

Unfortunately, she still didn't share Maoin's sentiments. Despite how 'pretty' or 'stunning' she may have looked, she just could really get into the formal attire or dressy nature of...all of this. Not to mention 'having a blast' meant something else entirely to her. Like, blasting somethings face with a spike of ice or something. That was a blast to her.

"Well...I'll admit the dress isn't as bad as I thought it was, but ugh. I feel naked without my sword. This dinky little dagger isn't gonna stop a dragon. Plus these earrings are too much of a liability in battle! Too easy to injure them or have them pulled out." She managed to stop herself from complaining further after that, thankfully. This date would go horribly, this noble would be an unrepentant pervert she was sure, she'd beat his face in, Maoin would inevitably agree with her and then they could go home and she could go about her usual work of being a bloody hero and killing bandits.

"Alright, lead the way I guess. I swear if this is gonna be some fancy thing with a bunch of stuffy nobles..." Her voice trailed off as she stood up with Maoin's help, letting her lead the way.

- Lukas Kunze -

As he traversed towards town, Lukas began taking a look over all the stores he previously ignored, studying each place as if they held a secret wonder from within. There were a few shops for tailored goods, some places dedicated to selling food, whether meat or sweets. He did a double take when he walked on by the bakery, whose window was already repaired. Lukas was more fixated on how the heck they managed to get hold of someone to repair it at a brisk rate... then again, this was a different town.

Shaking his head, he shrugged his arms and went back to trudging along the path, attempting to discern a good place to dine, looking over some of the taverns which looked to be a bit more elaborately constructed. Humming, he decided to retrieve his notes and went back to studying each feature mentioned whilst searching.

Looking up from time to time to scan his surroundings, he took notice of a young woman who looked... a little more aged than the boy himself, but not by a whole lot. Lukas took note that she was in some form of armor which definitely denoted her as a knight right off the bat.

... rapping his lip with his thumb, he was adamant on just waltzing up and flirting with her right out of the blue; for one, he had a date, but Lukas also had a quota to meet or else his chest would... burst. Ugh, it would be too awkward to handle and there would be myriads of other problems posed! Exposure of identity, risk of shame due to this curse, etc.

Eventually, he decided to take the plunge, praying that it wouldn't at all leave the girl rattled. "Focus Lukas, you're only doing this because y'have to; not for fun, it's for business," he muttered to himself as he leisurely curved his path, getting closer and closer to the blonde haired beaut.

"Well, this isn't exactly something you see every day," Lukas spoke up, wishing to garner the attention of the golden haired gal. Smiling, he put a finger to his lip, tapping it briefly before going on.

"Knights - a symbol of chivalry and heroism; I adhere to such traits, and make a stunning lady as you appear much more appealing," speaking affably with a benign voice. He decided that this would be the limit; now would be the best time to transition into a regular conversation, lest there could be some... consequences to say the least.

~The Meeting~

Livia simply smiled at the gathered teachers. Aside from some small looks of disapproval and a bit of hushed whispering no one seemed to majorly object. Of course, why would they?

"Indeed, Miss Gagne." Livia replied. "We are scholars, not some timid or superstitious peasant that will tremble at any mention of the word demon. Even if we are religious, we should not let such beliefs cloud our judgement at let the chance for scholarly and academic advancement, and as Miss Lindall so astutely observed...St. Sappho academy will be taking on a few new students over the coming semesters."

She then turned her attention to Katherine, walking away from the podium and letting her words sink in for a few moments before continuing. It would be easy enough for them to assume who exactly the new students were.

"A few weeks before this semester started I was approached by a representative of the Demons. They have made a rather...interesting proposition. Certain interested parties among the demons and their kin, seek to have their kin attend St. Sappho-"

"I believe I will take it from here, Livia." Myrilla stepped into the room, long thick black horns poking from her head, curving forward along her head. Large, black wings sprouted from her back. Livia simply glared at her slightly as she was interrupted. This woman was the only one who had ever been so bold as to do such a thing. If all demons were like this, then she doubted she would get along with any of them.

"Greetings, scholars of St. Sappho." She bowed, an oppressive aura filled the room as she straightened herself. "I am Lady Myrilla Sathanus," The name shouldn't be unfamiliar to anyone who was even remotely versed in either religion or history. "And I am looking forward to a long and frutiful relationship between my people and this academy."

Aetheria watched on as Livia and Lady Sathanus began speaking, but did not return any further comment. The white mage felt she had already said her part, and apart from mild amount of internal dissaproval she had no major feelings regaurding the subject. The former student was mildly concerned about the welfare of everyone involved, but if the students decided to fight she wouldn't be too hasty to stand in their way.

Katherine chuckled a little bit. How perfect was this? Demons in this school? How wonderfully (possibly) brutal. As if there weren't people already afraid of magic, demons? Katherine couldn't find herself really caring, but found it humorous nonetheless. Overall, the puppeteer was rather excited. It was likely plastered on her face, but the woman didn't probably realize it.

A a pair of her dolls made their way over, one carrying the pitcher of water and another a glass to fill up. Somewhat clumsily, the two dolls filled the cup up together and one handed it to the demon queen. They did this own their own volition bringing a metaphorical tear to Katherine's eye. Regardless of whether the horned woman took the glass, Katherine spoke in her usual fake friendly voice. "Then shall I be the first of us human teachers to say, 'Welcome to St. Sappho Academy'?" She was never good at the whole, "Formally talking to royalty" thing.

Sathanus laughed at the dolls which presented her with a glass of water.

"Well aren't you precious little things." She took the offering, glancing over at the human that she assumed to be their owner, the same who spoke and welcomed her. The demons crimson eyes narrowed at her, easily picking up on the informality with which she spoke. She had half a mind to call the woman out on it, but she refrained from doing so. Livia simply shot Katherine a look to silence her. She would not have her cause a scene here.

"You have my thanks for a warm welcome." She held the glass, swirling around the contents as if somewhat wary before taking a sip of the liquid. "I understand this is something of a...shock to you all, I'm certain, but I am glad we can set aside perceived differences perceived by religious fools." She took another sip of the water. Livia simply waited back at the podium, waiting for this to be over with. While she wasn't one to be intimidated, causing a scene here would only be bad. Or perhaps Sathanus would find it humorous. Likely a bit of both. Either way, she let the demon continue unhindered.

"More to the point. My daughter will be attending the school this semester. Some of you have likely already seen her in your class. Lyssa, come here dear. Introduce yourself to the staff." From the same way she entered, Lyssa waltzed out of the room wearing her usual smiles and friendly demeanor, dressed in the same green dress she had been earlier. Two smaller horns poked out of her head, and tiny bat like wings sprouted from her back as a small spaded tail swished happily behind her.

She then practically jumped over to the first human she saw, and greeted her brightly.

"Ehehe, hiya!~ I'm Lyssa~!" She giggled brightly as she introduced herself to Aetheria, their face barely inches apart. Her mom had instructed her to refrain from hugs, so she had to make do with a forceful handshake.

"As you can see," Sathanus commented. "She's a precious little angel and you are to treat her as such."

Aetheria tried to avoid laughing at Sathanus' play on words. While the Lady's daughter certainly seemed ... friendly, there was only so far one could go. So Aetheria released the urge to laugh instead as a friendly smile, giving Lyssa's hand a firm grasp as she shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Lyssa Sathanus. I am Aetheria, and will be discussing light magic, history, and economics in the classroom. If you ever need a place to eat, my home is yours." Having grown up as a peasant, Aetheria hoped that would be both formal and friendly enough. Formality was awkward, although she was trying. This relationship could prove to be very profitable.

"Ehe, nice to meet ya! And it's just Lyssa. Calling me miss makes me feel as old as my mom!~" The glass Lady Sathanus' was holding almost slipped out of her hand at that comment as she shot her daughter a rather hostile look. Lyssa simply giggled, seemingly oblivious or not caring. All she seemed to care about was how friendly Aetheria seemed. Lyssa gave her a bright smile, standing right next to Aetheria, resisting the impulse to hug the woman in her usual cheerful fashion. Livia, had to suppress the urge to laugh.

"Right," Clearing her throat, Sathanus continued. "Now that you all have seen her, you are to treat her with the utmost respect. We also request she be given housing among the commoners. It wouldn't do to have her identity discovered at the moment. The church is...well, not something us demons wish to deal with at the moment. As such...I do not need to tell you what will happen if anything happens to my daughter." She let the threat sink in as she took another drink from the glass, taking a more friendly tone when she finished. "Now, I believe that is all I am needed here for, so unless any of you humans would like to make a deal for yours soul or something of some sort or another, I have things I need to be doing."

That was intended to be a joke. Mostly. Aside from a slow nod indicating her understanding and a smile at their playful banter, Aetheria remained silent.

Seeing that there weren't any questions or deals to be made, Lady Sathanus gave a bow.

"Now, I believe you said you had a date Lyssa?" She asked her daughter.

"Ehe, yep! So uhm, can I go now?"

"Of course, feel free too. Do try and keep this a secret from your father though. You know how he gets."

"Yep, of course!~" With a playful salute, and being unable to resist the hugging impulses any longer, the young demon gave Aetheria a quick hug, before bolting out of the room. Aetheria returned the light hug for a moment, releasing her when the time came.

"I feel sorry for the poor fool." She shook her head, wearing an amused smile. "At any rate, I have place to be now, so I think this ends your little show here, Livia?"

"Of course, it has been a...pleasure having you here Lady Sathanus."

"The pleasure is mine, Livia. I should visit this delightful place more often. Adieu, for now then. I shall come and check on my daughters progress at a later date." With that, the demon left in a rather unimpressive fashion, right through the door she came through, though if anyone bothered followed after her they would find no trace of the demon.

"Well...now that that is over with, that is it for this evenings meeting. Your all have the rest of the day off, of course." At these words, the gathered members of staff started gathering their things rather quickly and prepared to leave. "Miss Gagne, Miss Lindall, if I could see you in my office before you leave...I have a private matter to discuss with the both of you." She didn't elaborate any further out in public. Instead, she walked back to her office through the conjoining door and took a seat in her usual chair and waited for them to finish whatever other business they had.

Aetheria nodded, standing up from her chair and following the headmistress. Once all of those summoned entered the office, the white mage had to voice her curiousity. "I'm not surprised that you'd summon my coworker Kathrine here for a private visit, but I am glad to have finally gained the honor as well. Shall we get started?" It was mostly a joke, although Aetheria would be willing to do many things to get closer to power.

"My, Aetheria. If you wanted some private time with me, all you had to do is ask. I can't exactly call you one of my precious little students, but I'm not going to say no if you want some private lessons." She chuckled a bit, the remnants of tea from earlier still visible on her desk. She should have had a maid make more, but there was no time. "Unfortunately, this is not a pleasure visit, Aetheria. This one is more of a...clandestine and professional nature."

"I guess it depends on what you want as a 'professional' visit." Katherine mentioned as she walked in through the door, followed by her small army of dolls. The woman was never really alone with those always with her. "But I'm listening, Livia. Must be quite something for you to kill your flirting like that." As much a mystery as the woman still was, Katherine knew that much about her.

"Astute as always, my little Katherine." Livia replied. This was quite a serious affair after all, part of something she had personally been working on for awhile. She would ease her underlings here into the subject first, though. See how much they knew about the subject before moving on. "What do either of you know about the creature known as the 'Phoenix'?"

Aetheria nodded. "The fire bird of legend that reincarnates?" The white mage was very curious about where this was going. If the previous discussion involved demons and had a demon arriving at the school, would the same be occuring with a mythical creature? "I am intrigued to hear where this is going, to say the least."

Katherine really didn't have much more to add to what Aetheria had said. She pretty much hit all the points that Katherine knew on the subject. "Do tell, Livia. Are we going to see a Phoenix after seeing the quiet beautiful specimin of top tier demons?" She could tell that the Demon Queen irked Livia to no end. To be fair, Katherine would have felt fearful when the demon's eyes closed in on her, but she was too enthralled in how entertaining the place would now..

"You almost sound enthralled, dear Katherine. Maybe I should remind you exactly who you work for, hm?" She mused aloud, and if Katherine knew her at all then she would realize that was more than an idle threat. "But that aside...No. We shall not be having one at the academy. At least, not as a student...or a willing attendant." She let the words sink in for a moment before continuing.

"From what I have gathered...it is a powerful, ruthless tyrant that goes around razing entire villages simply for its own pleasure." While it was true she disliked the phoenix for such actions, that was only a single motivator for her to seek out the fire bird. If, if, it was as powerful as she had been told. Then she was a threat, as well as a good test of her and her...allies abilities here.

"So the reason I have called you here this evening is simple. We shall be capturing that phoenix...and bring it here, where I will keep it so it doesn't cause any more trouble."

Aetheria had to stop herself from protesting at the insane suggestion. Capturing something was much harder than killing it, and the Phoenix ... the Phoenix was not known for being weak. Trying to take it down in a non-lethal manner could be considered a suicide mission. On the other hand, killing it would only ensure it respawned. A question had to be raised however. "Headmistress ... once we capture it, what are you going to do with it? Place it in a cage? Research it?" It was known the Pheonix's tears were pancea, and the potential funding for the campus from that made Aetheria's mouth water.

"I'm certain I can find so very many uses for an immortal soul that can produce life giving tears, Aetheria." Livia calmly replied. "Our first step of course, would be to make sure it can't escape. After that? Well. If it cooperates I'll make sure it is comfortable enough. If not...well. I have no qualms of forcing what I want out of it." She didn't mention the certain interested party that wanted the Phoenix dead. No need to trouble her old friend with that.

Aetheria nodded, understanding their purpose. "Of course headmistress. So what are the details ... ?"

Well, that meeting couldn't have gone any better! At first, she had assumed she had been in trouble for that whole thing earlier with the pastry shop. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and instead she got to make a new friend! She'd certainly take Aetheria up on that offer of room and board later. For the moment though, she had to get ready for her date! Well, not really a date date. just a thing between friends, obviously. That said, she was glad her mom cleaned off her dress. That'd be really bad to go to some upscale place and come covered in sugary sweets.

...well, not that she'd care. She'd just eat the stuff on her instead anyways.

Thankfully, after leaving the meeting it didn't take her long to get ready. She'd wear the same thing, more or less. It was classy enough and it wasn't like she had a fairly large wardrobe anyways. Her parents wouldn't let her take her fancier clothes, though not that she'd wear them anyways. Or at least, she'd wear something a bit easier to move in and form fitting under them. She had to make sure she was prepared for a fight...as horrid as that thought was. Her parents told her to be wary at all times of the church and revealing her true nature to humans. That was something she was gonna be trying to keep a lid on, yep.

...which is why she was wondering exactly why she was getting a few stares from people.

Not that it fazed her, but she hadn't realized she had forgot to lose the horns. This may be a town of scholars and mages, but the general populace was still a rather superstitious bunch. Such thoughts were quickly dismissed upon eyeing Lukas, however. She conveniently didn't notice the other woman he was with, or didn't care.

Instead, she picked up the pace, and leaped towards the human.

"LUKAS!~" She shouted happily, wrapping her arms around his neck as she slammed into him as she gave him a flying tackle hug.

Lunalel Lightsword

Lunalel had decided to go into town to find something to eat. . . And maybe something to drink. She hadn't had anything good to drink in a while. Clean water was nice and all, but it took long enough to travel to the school and she missed the light-head feeling of alcohol in her belly. She was trying to decide on a good looking place that wasn't too cheap, but not too expensive when all of a sudden she heard a male voice next to her.

"Well, this isn't exactly something you see every day," The voice called out to her side. The boy it belonged to somehow made it to her side before she even knew. Luna was paying absolutely no attention, so she was taken slightly aback at this random boy saying something to her. "Knights - a symbol of chivalry and heroism; I adhere to such traits, and make a stunning lady as you appear much more appealing," So, by his words, he was a knight? She almost altogether missed the last part of his sentence and as such the Knightess did not understand the flirting words of the boy other than words of observation.

"So you're a Knigh--" Luna started to say before this girl came out of nowhere and did a jumping headbutt, turning it into a hug. She screamed what Luna could only assume was the boy's name as she did so. To be honest, Lunalel was completely confused. "Who are you two?" The current events led her to that one question.

As he heard the girl out, another, very familiar voice interjected from behind the duo, causing Lukas' eyes to widen in worry. How would he exactly explain this whole spiel; this spelled trouble to say the least... though, why did she sound pleased? The mage was certain that she would be angered by his, erm, "infidelity." Regardless, he was ready to accept the consequences of his actions.

"Hey LysSSA," were the first to items that popped out of his mouth before being slammed into by Lyssa, the latter part being enunciated more. He got a close up of her hair as she wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing the guy. Much to his surprise, he barely had enough time to react before screeching to a halt near the ground. Thankfully, he managed to stay afloat with Lyssa in his arms as he fleetingly wrapped his around her torso so she wouldn't have to fall off or anything...

"Y'kinda caught me off guard there," he chuckled, giving the smaller girl a tight squeeze, smiling down on her head. "To be honest though, that makes you even cuter by the second." Lukas smiled down on the lady's head, stroking it with one of his hands, but not before getting a glimpse of two things protruding from her head.

Horns; two black horns.

Blinking for a moment, Lukas couldn't help but move one of his arms towards the ebony spike, pinching the growth between his index and thumb. Feeling them out, he began to stroke from the tip all the way to the base. His mouth was agape a he came to one final conclusion.

Both of the horns were real alright.

Not wishing to make her too nervous, Lukas wrapped his arms around Lyssa and began ascending upwards at an angle until his feet were on the same level as the ground. Slowly, he landed gently on the ground before releasing the girl, but staring at her with a newfound curiosity. While he didn't exactly care about her true identity, he was intrigued to know about her race, not caring what she truly was.

Putting his hand on his side, he pointed up towards her head, raising an eyebrow as he studied it. "Say, Lyssa, are you this naturally... horny?"

...

He wanted to literally slap himself for that comment; that was completely unnecessary and completely threw this whole conversation off balance. Looking for a way out, he heard a voice emanating from the lady knights direction... which turned out to be her.

"Uuuh, I'm Lukas Deboir, and this is my friend Lyssa," he exclaimed, retracting both of his hands from the known mystery girl, save for one which was waving awkwardly. Giving her a toothy grin, he couldn't help but bite his tongue nervously after that situation transpired.

Lukas could only pray it would deviate from his previous slip of the tongue.

"Say, what's your name beautiful?"

... yeah, Lukas was certain he just dug his grave with that tiny compliment.

~Lyssa~

At first, Lyssa simply snuggled up to Lukas, rubbing her cheek against his as she giggled softly. She didn't seem to take notice of much else at the moment, aside from simply cuddling Lukas, leaning into the petting she was receiving from him. Well, at least until he started touching her horns. The demon completely froze, eyes going wide as she realized she had apparently forgotten to lose them.

Well shit.

She would have immediately lost them and have likely tried to play it off too, if he hadn't gone about touching them. Instead, she simply stood there, frozen slightly as Lukas finally released her after standing up.

"Uhm uhm, Yep, Lyssa's my name!~" Her face was slightly red as she stuttered out a greeting, though rather from embarrassment or something else was difficult to tell. "Nice to meet ya! You're a student at the academy too, right?" deciding to change the subject and attempt to divert attention from her horns in hopes neither would say anything else about them, she jumped over to the blond girl, giving her a bright grin. "We were just about to go get something to eat! You should come with us! it'll be fun! I'll buy!~"

Good, good, attention was likely successfully diverted with that. She'd just shrug off any further mention of them either way, that was the easiest way to go about it, at least.

Lunalel Lightsword

These two were quite different characters from those Luna ran across typically. One was. . . Well, it could be said one can't be overly friendly. . . But this new girl seemed dangerously so. Those horns of hers could easily pierce flesh if something happened. For example, this boy was lucky he didn't come out of the exchange with a hole or two in his side. Luna skeptically took glaces to make sure there were no wounds. . . Well, nothing was there it seemed so she let it slide. Instead, she thought about what the heck this girl was suppose to be.

Perhaps she was a familiar like that Cat-girl from earlier? A goat-turned-human instead? Compared to her other idea, this one was a much better one. . . Well, in the grand scheme of things. For the better of everyone's minds, Luna decided to figure it out later, regardless, the girl didn't seem like she wanted to stay on the topic of them as she asked Luna if she was a new student as well and if she wanted to eat with them. "I suppose I would eat by myself other wise." Luna mentioned and took a look at the two. "If you insist I can join the two of your for a meal." If nothing else, she didn't want to look rude, declining the invitation.

A look came over her face as if she forgot something very important. "But where are my manners? My name is Lunalel Lightsword, daughter and Knightess of the Lord of the Lightsword house. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lukas and Lyssa. Oh, and please, just call me Luna." She gave a bow before returning to her normal posture and giving a smile. "Did you two have a place in mind?"

Oh good, neither of the beautiful ladies had commented on his... fascinating choice of flirts and words. At this point he just chose to roll with whatever their thought process was and kept smiling instead of becoming flustered. As Lukas stood there, he did steal a glance at Lyssa, taking note over her perturbed state before returning sight to the cute knightess. Eventually, his side became unoccupied as the fine pink haired lass bounced over, Lukas walking after as he twiddled the hair on his neck.

As he kept eyes on the "mysterious" blonde, Lukas began pondering over what Lyssa was, almost spacing out for a moment. He averted putting his hand to his mouth so he wouldn't tip either of them off about his process.

At any rate, he was brought back to reality at the mention of food! Right, his date with Lyssa! And she would offer paying? Raising an eyebrow, he felt it would be ungentlemanly if he didn't at least pay for it to an extent. Looking at the horned girls hair, Lukas bent over towards Lyssa's ear, whispering. "Say Lyssa, I could always pay for it if you like... or at least assist if you're adamant on who pays." Returning to his full stature, he began to listen to the girl analyze the situation before taking Lyssa up on the offer.

"Excellent! The more the merrier," he chuckled, before actually going back t-

Wait.

Did she just say she was from a house? That meant she was a noble...

Lukas' eyes dilated for a moment as he pivoted away to look for a tavern, coming to the realization that this outing wouldn't fair too well, especially if she discovered his little secret... or both of them perhaps. Silently cursing to himself, he temporarily decided to get his mind off the subject by responding to her introduction.

"A noble, eh? It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Luna; I bet the stars complement you, eh," he jibbed, swiveling around to face her once more, giving her a quaint grin. At the mention of where they might be having supper, he put a thumb to his lip, tapping it before glancing over at the nearest building. It appeared to be elaborately constructed and had the appearance of excellent craftsmanship.

That was obviously the best place to eat - usually the state of the building denoted how well its services would be, so it was an excellent choice.

"Say ladies, what about over here," he turned, jabbing his thumb directly at the current establishment. "Well kept, nice design, looks like the perfect place to eat! Whadya two say to that," he piped up delightfully before walking a few steps towards the place before beckoning the two alluring maidens forward, allowing them to walk in first.

The Date

Maoin frowned as Gwynn countinued to complain. The kitten gave her mistress a short response. "If you happen to encounter any dragons I will fight them off for you, my lady. Please focus on enjoying yourself." The thought of such a thing like that happening was ridiculous of course. What could possibly go wrong at a magical academy with the world's most powerful wizards?

Maoin grabbed the hand of her mistress, and headed off in the direction of the tavern. Truthfully, Maoin was jealous of this situation. While her owner was out griping about eating expensive food with a Prince, she'd be cleaning the green dress her lady had thoughtlessly dirtied.

Eventually, the pair arrived at an expensive tavern. Outside of it, a floating fountain magically spewed water towards the ground. The building itself was what one would expect for a well to do resturant, and while it avoided leaning towards gaudy it was clearly elegantly designed. The plants that sat out front were arranged perfectly, and if one looked around the place there would be a large garden in the back for more private seating. Well dressed waiters headed between the tables, allowing those within to interact with them as little or as much as they pleased.

And Swen was standing by the fountain, leafing through one of his books to help fight off his nervousness. The blonde's advice in his mind, he was sure he was going to do well.

Maoin looked up towards Gwynn, wide eyes curious. "Didn't you sit next to him in class? I guess your date hasn't arrived yet." The kitten assumed that her mistress actually knew the names her neighbors and would have mentioned if she had met her future berothed.

Well, Gwynn at least had to admit the place looked nice. Not that she was particularly into fancy decor, but at least it wasn't some sleazy looking place. That said, she was incredibly surprised to find the guy from her class there. She supposed he looked rather nobley, but he certainly didn't act like one as far as she knew. Considering the expensiveness of this place, she could only assume he was one now.

"Oh hey, I guess he got that date he wanted." She grinned, chuckling. "Looks like she hasn't arrived yet either, though."[/color] Well, unless he just liked hanging around a fountain or something. Not that it mattered, she wanted to spice things up a bit before her likely disastrous date.

"I'ma go say hi before I meet the sleezeball I'm seeing tonight."

Maoin decided to let Gwynn go with an eyeroll. The neko spoke a few irritated words mostly beneath her breath."You haven't even met him though ..." Still though, her mistress had arrived safely, and that was what mattered. The kitten backed up several steps, out of their immediate view.

Breaking off from Maoin, Gwynn walked quietly over to Swen...before throwing another arm around his shoulder and giving him a hard pat on his back.

"Heeey, fancy meeting you here, kiddo! Guess my advice worked for ya, huh?"

The Prince jumped slightly as he an arm was placed around his shoulders before putting his book away into his cloak. He recognized the voice of his classmate and sighed slightly as he was teased. "Hi ... yeah, She must be running late. I always have my books, so if worst comes to worst I'll be satisfied." Swen smiled weakly at the blonde, and decided to change the topic.

As he thought about what to say, he took a quick look up and down his classmate, and started blushing slightly at how nice she looked for the evening. "Have a date as well? Did that girl from earlier change her mind?"

"Eh yeah, got a 'date'." Gwynn scoffed, distaste for the whole thing still evident. "If you wanna call it that anyways." She released Swen, taking a few steps away from him. "More like something I'm being forced to come to because of my parents." She shrugged, as she turned to face the fountain, leaning over the edge of it.

"Really, I'd rather be out doing something useful like killing bandits or I dunno...something." She sighed. "Meh, not your problem though. "

She fell silent after that, a bit unsure where to take the conversation. Just killing time and making small talk like this wasn't exactly her forte.

Swen listened to his newest friend, frowning slightly. Something bothered him about it, but the Prince wasn't quite sure what it was. Either way, her company was a good way to pass the time until his date arrived. "I wish you the best of luck, then ..." The gentleman would have gone further to offer his condolences ... but he couldn't say anything. In an arranged marriage, it was always possible your spouse would be abusive. He picked up on her silence however and thought of a way to change the subject.

The blonde did bring up banditry. Swen closed the distance between them, debating whether or not to return her earlier grasp of comraderie ... "Killing bandits? You're rather adventerous, aren't you?" The prince gave her a small smile. "And I've been trying to muster the courage to break into the restricted area of the school library. Lots of secrets in there." That wasn't a lie. There WERE quite a few secrets in there. The magierprinz had heard the difficulty of entering the place was quite the deterent though. "Anyways though, protecting others is a very kind thing to do." Would it be too much to ask how she got into that? For now, he decided not to press further.

Now, that, was an idea. She wasn't exactly one for reading tons of books unless it was about history, but breaking and entering into the restricted section? Yes please. Gwynn gave Swen a grin, followed by an impish chuckle.

"Eh, I guess? Helping people has its perks." She chuckled with an impish grin, but quickly brought the subject back around to his earlier point. "But breaking into somewhere I'm not supposed to be, is a lot more fun." She gave him an impish grin. That wasn't exactly the most sutble way of saying 'if you do this, I want in on it', but hey, she wasn't exactly a subtle perosn.

Swen nodded slightly. The Prince wasn't so oblivious as to not be able to see Gwynn's enthusiasm towards that subject and obvious offer of a aid. The man was a little saddened that the blonde wasn't acting out of charity but rather an adventerous spirit, but it wasn't his job to correct her. There was information he simply needed to know: he wasn't the sort to enjoy breaking into another place. But if someone was offering their aid, he'd accept that offer. The nobleman was desperate for this information.

"... Perhaps we could have some 'fun' together after our respective dates then?" The nobleman didn't catch the other suggestion he made there, so his unwavering words sounded incredibly confident as he looked directly at the beautiful blonde lady.

Gwynn blinked, somewhat surprised, but pleased that he had seemed to take her up on that offer. Plus that offer of 'fun'. Well, she wasn't really into fun times on the first date, but...heh. Well, he certainly was a bit different than she had initially thought him to be. The blond grinned, extending a hand a second time to him that day.

"Okay, remember when I said you didn't have a chance with me? Still don't think ya do." Honestly, this guy seemed like a lot more fun than meeting some stuffy noble. "But I think I'd like to hang out with ya more. The name's Gwnn FoghlĂș, and I would very much like to have some 'fun' after our dates."

Swen returned her hand shake, smiling at his new friend as she introduced herself. As Gwynn Foghlu', the girl he didn't have a chance with.

The Prince suddenly realized that he date hadn't arrived late, but that Gwynn had instead showed up just on time. A slight frown went across his face as he remembered her earlier words. His friend didn't want to be here, her parents had forced her to come.

A frown crossed his face as he turned away from Gwynn and towards the fountain, breaking any contact they previously had. It was his duty to his people to go through with this. It was the will of his parents. And the man had to admit that this woman seemed like a lot of fun and ... would be a good companion in the future.

And yet, would that truly be right? In every story the man had read, the Prince saved the Princess from some sort of disaster. Swen knew he could muster the courage to fight a dragon. But to be able to fight society? That was harsher. Especially when you didn't mind the way things would turn out.

Chivalry fought against itself in his mind, and the heir didn't know exactly what to do. Rather than making some bold move, the Prince gazed further into the depths of the water. But he would never lie. Not even by omission. A person should be proud of who they are, and if they aren't they should improve themselves. "I'm Magierprinz Swen Runvall Von Zaberbuch. Your date." The words didn't sound snotty or overtly proud, but rather than he simply wanted to make sure understood exactly who he was. Although for once in his life, he didn't sound happy about it.

Across from the pond, Maoin's ears perked up. The kitten had been disapproving of their previous conversation, but this became very interesting. The black haired girl tried to motion towards Gwynn to get them inside the resturant from across the fountain, but didn't move any closer to the situation.

For a few moments, Gwynn simply stared at Swen, absolutely stunned by this turn of events. This...this guy was her date? The one she was supposed to be married off too? This cute little guy here? Just...what. That was - well, he still had no shot with her but...he wasn't half bad if that was the case. Maybe Maoin was right about this whole thing. So the blond started laughing, really, really, loudly, genuinely amused by the turn of events. It wasn't her usual impish or mischevious laughter either, but something sounding genuinely joyful.

"You gotta be kidding me," She managed to sputter out through peals of loud laughter. She was probably drawing all kinds of attention, but she didn't care at all. "You're the guy?" Once again, she tossed her arm around his shoulder, still laughing. "Okay, okay, Swen. I guess I can give ya chance now. So come on!~" She said, releasing him once again by giving him a soft shove on his back.

"Let's eat! I'm hungry. You're buying yeah?"

Swen looked at Gwynn ... stunned that things went so well. A smile crossed his face as the girl started speaking between her laughter, and the Prince found himself joining in as well. Apparently honesty really is the best policy. The man hardly noticed a few others staring at them, although the people went back to whatever they were originally doing.

As he was shoved forward, he nodded in response. "It's only fair I buy my companion for the evening rations." But rather than continuing to walk forward, he actually took a step back to be in line with her and ... Confidence. This girl had said to be confident. Coming up with stuff on the spot wasn't his forte, but he could follow instructions very well.

The Prince held out his hand to Gwynn, clearly offering to hold hers. "Uhhh ... May I?" He paused for a second, not sure if this was what he was supposed to be doing. Swen's eyes looked back and forth sheepishly, anywhere but towards the stunning beauty before him. "Is this the confidence you were speaking of earlier?"

Gwynn probably should have included something about communication in her advice. Still though, Maoin passed clearly in front of Gwynn, gave her the most I told you so look she could manage, and turned to return home. The servant had a dress to clean, and her mission appeared to be more than accomplished.

At the suggestion, Gwynn gave him an unimpressed look, but before she could say anything she noticed her Familiar, Maoin waltzing off back towards home and giving her the most irritating look possible. Good for Swen, really, he was probably about to lose a few points there.

"Hold that thought for a moment, Swen. Gotta go take care of my cat." Gwynn quickly chased after Maoin before she got to far. She ran up behind the black cat, placing a hand on her head.

"And where do you think you're goin, eh?" She smiled as she roughly tousled her hair. "Clean that dress? Nope, sorry, you work too hard sometimes you know that? Free food, Swen's buying! So come on, you need a break." This was, in part a way to apologize for well, being an irredeemable idiot a bit. Sorta, wouldn't exactly be her money but giving her the night off from doing anything was the least she could do.

She didn't give the cat much time to answer either, and grabbed the cats hand, pulling her gently towards the resturant, passing Swen in the process, apparently ignoring his earlier offer.

"Sorry about that! Let's go."

Maoin yelped as her head was grabbed and ruffled. "Mistress!?". But the black haired neko obediently followed as she was dragged towards the resturant, using her free hand to fix her now ruined hair. The kitten considered mentioning that only meant she'd have to clean the dress later, but she relented and decided to follow. At least this way she'd be able to keep Gwynn in line and help Swen through any awkward moments. The prince seemed to have more than enough awkward to spare.

Swen just watched as his offer was ignored as Gwynn went off to fetch ... what seemed to be her familiar. He shrugged, following the pair into the resturant. In the grand scheme of things, their conversation had been short and the three members of the party were escorted towards the back, where a table made of fine wood sat in a garden beneath a small structure supported by fine steel bars that would keep the rain off in the worst of days. Two fine chairs sat beneath it, although a stool was in the corner of the structure where a musician could play for them or a familiar could wait at an appropriate distance.

A brown haired middle aged server wearing a well fitted black suit waved his hand towards the table. "For my lord and lady, please take a seat." The man pulled the chair out for Gwynn, offering to let her sit first. Maoin headed towards the stool, sitting down on it and looking at the table some ten feet away before closing her eyes.

Gwynn took a seat, though didn't acknowledge the man being courteous. Mostly because it was probably his job, and she didn't really feel the need to acknowledge him for it. A bit rude, perhaps but she didn't particularly pay any attention to it. Instead, she rested her elbows on the table, giving Swen a cat like grin of her own. She didn't pay much attention to the atmosphere, and instead focused on what they had just planned to do.

Break into the schools restricted section.

For one, such a thing likely wasn't gonna be easy so just waltzing in there wasn't gonna be something they could just do. Only teachers and the headmistress herself had access. It was likely guarded, too. They would need a plan...and what better time to plan then now? It'd likely not be suspicious at all, considering the reason they were here. If they played their cards right, they could probably get away with it easily enough.

She'd just need to wait for the servers to leave.

"So, you're Swen huh? Gotta say, you're a lot different then I was expecting. I was thinking you'd be some sort of...stuck up pervert or something that I was gonna end up murdering by the end of the date."

Swen sat down after Gwynn did, lowering himself into the chair. It was only the polite thing to do. He returned an easy smile at the blonde's grin, wondering what was going through the lady's head.

The server snapped his fingers and a second later a menu appeared before both of the resturant's patrons, along with two engraved glasses to the right of both Gwynn and Swen. One glass was filled with water, the other remained empty. At the feet of maoin a small mug of water appeared along with a slice of bread on a small wooden plate, although the kitten didn't seem to be paying much attention.

The brown haired man raised an eyebrow at Gwynn's initial conversation, but dissapeared quickly from beneath a platform. Swen however resonded with a raised eyebrow. "Glad to have exceeded your expectations, Gwynn. I enjoy living."

"And here I was expecting a starry eyed damsel, but my father apparently thinks a criminal would suit me best." Based on the tone of the response, it was easy to tell it was intended in good nature.

"I'd say less of a criminal, and more roguishly suave." Gwynn laughed at his response, picking up the menu and looking through it. She wanted something with a lot of spices in it. Preferably something with Cinnamon, Nutmeg or Saffron. So she quickly began scanning the menu for something with those, though she could probably get them added regardless. Wasn't like she was paying after all, and she intended to take full advantage of that.

"Huh, this place actually has stuff from Ireland." She replied, a bit surprised. Well, that'd make this easy, but she wanted something a bit new. Taking only a few seconds to decide, she settled on some rather delicious sounding chicken-dish and of course, with some added spices for extra flavor. She was also tempted to order the strongest alcohol on the list, but getting drunk right now was probably a bad idea. At any rate, now that she knew what she wanted, she turned to Maoin.

"Maoin. I said you'd be getting the night off, so order whatever you want. Swen will pay for anything you want. Try the expensive stuff! It'll be delicious. Probably." She gave Swen a cheeky grin as she spoke.

The Prince cringed slightly as Gwynn did not hestitate to make this meal worth a small fortune. He nodded slightly as he spoke to both of them, "anything for a lady as yourself and your loyal companion."

Putting his hands together, the nobleman smiled at Gwynn and pointed to his empty glass. "Wine from Venice." His glass filled with a dark liquid which he took a small drink out of. The drink granted him a little courage, which he countinued with. "You certainly are a rouge. I'll have to tell my father this berothal will be ... straining our treasury." His eyes returned to the menu, scanning it once more.

Maoin followed her mistresses directions, walking over to Gwynn and looking over her shoulder before pointing to something in the seafood section. It was reasonably expensive, and the description described a dish including the finest of salmon with a side of pasta. Still, she wasn't sure exactly how much Gwynn was willing to let Swen part with despite her claims.

Suddenly, the cat entered what she called her 'irresistable' stance. Her tail waved back and forth and ears twitched with enthusiasm as her hands curled in front of her like paws in the most adorable of manners. Her eyes looked slightly down from Gwynn's ambers and begging pout crossed her face. After several experiments the kitten was convinced that no mortal could resist her like this. "Could I have that ... Please?" If Gwynn took to long to answer, Maoin would rub her head against her mistress' arm.

Swen looked on, trying to avoid laughing with a hand over his mouth. In truth, Maoin was trying to give a small performance for the pair to give them another topic of conversation. If the price of that was unnceccessary begging, she would do it.

There was an audible silence as Gwynn simply stared at Maoin for a few seconds, and then cuddles happened as soon as the cat's head touched her arm.

"Maoin, stop being so cute." Gwynn laughed, wrapping her arms around the kitten and pulling her into a hug. "Of course you can have it. Swen said he'd pay for it." She then looked over to Swen, giving him a pout of her own. How could anyone say no to the both of them like this?

Swen nodded as the laughter forced it's way out. The two girls in front of him were literally begging, and it was a little too cute for him to be handle. "I already said yes!" Maoin backed away from Gwynn after that confirmation, spinning as she walked back towards her seat. The kitten's animalistic features made her satisfaction with the outcome obvious.

The Prince rolled his eyes, drinking a little more from his glass. Looking up into Gwynn's eyes, he asked her a question in a stage whisper as he gestured towards Maoin. "With skills like that, your familiar might be the one bossing you around."

Gwynn rolled her eyes, giving a quiet chuckle. Bossing her around? Please. There was obviously only one boss here.

"Hey Moain, give Swen a kiss." She ordered, taking a sip from the water in her glass.

Maoin heard an order and responded, "Of course mistress," before really thinking about it. After a second though, she turned around slowly, her face the color of tomato as she looked downwards nervously. "... Did ... come again ... mistress?" The kitten knew her hearing was far to refined to mishear that, but what her owner just said defied everything logical in the universe. It wasn't her place to question her owners commands but ...

Swen on the other hand simply looked at Gwynn, stunned and blushing as well. He wasn't doing much better, his mouth gaping slightly as he slowly put down his wine glass.

A grin spread across Gwynn's face as she placed the glass back on the table. Point proven, she thought...but this was just too hilarious to not pursue further. Maoin was adorable when she was blushing like that, and Swen's own reaction was priceless as well. Gwynn could only poorly attempt to hide her giggles as she continued.

"Well, if you don't want to give him a kiss, you could always give me one."

Maoin looked back and forth between the Prince and her mistress as the insantiy was confirmed. The kitten's blush expanded down to her neck. Her owner had mentioned doing things 'later' at many points, but this was a direct order.

The kitten's mind went through what the best option was as her eyes looked at the floor. Kissing Swen was out of the question. The scandal that would occur for their house if such a thing happened would be outrageous - a man having sexual relations with his wife's familiar. On the other hand ... the black haired girl's eyes drifted up towards her mistress.

Maoin didn't really want to kiss her mistress either ... did she? In truth, their natural bond as familiar and master made any sort of physical contact feel enhanced, and Gwynn's pets felt better than anybody elses without a doubt. It would be far less scandelous for someone to have sexual relations with their own familiar - it was in fact incredibly common. However, it would be the source of endless jokes. And Maoin felt far more frustration than pleasure from the noblewoman's prescence in general.

Disobeying an order from one's owner was grounds for easy punishment and was simply wrong. After the stressful day, Maoin didn't want to be disobedient at the last moment. Also ... she had promised to do whatever Gwynn wanted this night so long as her mistress had followed through with her responsibilities ... and her owner wasn't just going to the date, but based on the smile crossing her face actually enjoying herself and giving the Prince more than a fair chance.

Thinking about the command specifically, her mistress specified what to do in the case that she didn't want to kiss Swen - which was kiss her. Maoin didn't really want to kiss her mistress either, but there hadn't been any orders for that situation.

Maoin took a few steps forward, lightly sat down in her mistress' lap ... took a small breath and put her face toward's her owners.

Well this had gone horribly wrong.

One second she was teasing the kitten, the next the kitten was on her lap. She was also close. Really, really close. Like close enough she could probably reach out and boop her nose with her nose. That was a little bit closer for comfort than even she liked being with. Not to mention, Maoin wasn't exactly her type...so that made this a tiny bit more awkward.

Almost instinctively, Gwynn firmly placed her hands on Maoin's shoudlers, and held her at arms length away before she could do what she was thinking.

"Uh-uh-uh, that's uh, not," Her own cheeks were pretty red at this point, and this was not something she was entirely used too. "You really gotta learn when I'm just messing with you, Maoin." Gwynn managed to reply, though she was obviously a little bit embarrased by the act.

Maoin felt herself pushed off before she managed to go in for the kiss. The kitten blinked a few times in confusion, then frowned slightly as her ears dropped. Her owner's face was red. Did she not obey her mistresses order properly? Was there something she had missed about it? The kitten turned around and saw Swen awkwardly sitting on the other side of the table, doing his best to ignore them by looking into the garden. Had she done something to embarrass and fluster her mistress?

The kitten's eyes looked downwards, ashamed at her failure. If she was one thing, that was loyal. That was one of the qualities she had been picked out for. "Mistress ... please forgive me for my failure. My incompetency has caused you great duress ..."

The culmination of exhaustion, hunger, frustration, and this failure made Maoin's eyes drift downwards to the floor as they started to water. Remembering she was still in her owner's lap, the kitten looked back towards her stool. "I ... I should go sit back down."

Gwynn simply sighed, unsure of what to say. Really, she didn't understand why the cat was always so...loyal. So, obedient. It honestly kind of pissed her off just a little. If she was in the cats place, she'd have laughed, said no, and proceeded to order one of everything on the menu. She really couldn't understand why she was so...loyal. So obedient. She however, could tell when she was upset even if she didn't entirely see why. Plus, seeing a crying cat was a bit too much even for her. She even said she was gonna give the cat the night off and here she was making her cry.

So she did the obviously smart thing, and flicked the cat on the forehead to get her attention.

...also to see if she would meow in an adorable fashoin, but details, details.

"Oh come on, don't cry about it." She softly said, reaching up and putting a hand on Maoin's head. "Now get up, drag that stool over here and sit! I said you're getting the night off so you can enjoy yourself, so you're gonna do that, and we're gonna not talk about anything else but fun stuff."

Maoin gave her mistress a surprised yelp as her mistress flicked her across the forehead, and blinked a few times. Her owner hadn't punished her yet, but even so the kitten was grateful that her owner seemed to be merciful. The cat was even more surprised to be recieving a light petting and instructions to enjoy herself.

Whether or not such orders were a surprise, the kitten soon completed them. The stool was brought to the table, and just as she lowered herself into it, dinner arrived. Considering they never ordered, it must have been by some sort of magic that the resturant knew what they wanted. Seeing the fish, the cat's mood immediately improved as she noticed the fish.

As for Swen, he recieved a german dish called 'Imperial Caviar' consisting of Caviar, scallops, specially cooked potatoes, and a few other ingredients. Gwynn recieved the dish she requested as well, and even the harshest food critic would not be able to say it was poorly made.

With great food in front of them, the date resumed it's previously happy go lucky mood as Maoin's ears animalistic features expressed her joy at having eaten the best meal of her life, as Swen drinked a bit more and talked to the pretty girl across from him, and as Gwynn was relieved that her kitten hadn't gone suicidal on her and had drank a little on her own. Didn't stop the occasional teasing from Gwynn, though.

After some small talk when they were done eating and a few pets for the kitten, the plates were taken away again by the server. After being told to jokingly drink a little, the combination of drunkeness and exhaustion made her fall asleep against the table.

Swen got returned to their prior buisness at that point. "So about the fun stuff ... basically this," the Prince gestured toward the two of them ", Doesn't make any sense. At least, it shouldn't." The prince reached into his cloak, pulling out a three ledgers listing national statistics.

Gwynn listened to Swen wordlessly, still drinking a bit. She didn't entirely know where he was going to go with this, but it wasn't like she could just not listen. Well, she could probably drown out his droning by just petting Maoin's hair, but she'd show a bit of restraint and not.

"This makes sense from your parents perpective. England has been at your doorstep for the past two hundred years, and an alliance in a rising household could help you maintain your independence or at least grant you favorable negotiations. Without this, your people could easily be put to slaughter as the Normans countinue their conquest."

"But it doesn't make sense from my father's. I initially thought my father was hoping to expand family lands - if we had a child, he would inherit both of our family holdings. However, it would be difficult for someone to control land from the center of the Empire AND off on the emerald island."

The young noblewoman had no idea what he was even talking about, however, and she mostly remained silent through the conversation, giving him a fairly bored look as he continued.

"And even if my father didn't think it would be difficult, he had better offers. Directly bordering our lands is a county with ..." The magierprinz's eyes searched through the ledgers for a few moments. He turned the ledgers listing the Foghlu' family lands next to the one he was comparing them to. "Likely four times your area's population, three times it troop count, three and a half times your tax income, and with a far more prestigious household that has ties to the imperial court. It even has exclusive trade rights with the Hansa. Additionally, a single daughter is currently the heir, and she's about your age." Swen didn't comment on the fact that they knew eachother from their childhood.

Leaving the ledgers for her to examine, he countinued. "I asked my father about what was going on. He didn't answer, and the next day a few books were gone from our library. I looked into this school's library as well, but information on your territory is sparse at best. There's something missing here - perhaps your family has artifacts I am unaware of, or maybe there is a tomb located somewhere within your territory that your family doesn't know about. Whatever it is, if information can be found on it, it will be in the restricted section."

By now, Gwynn had just a tiny bit to drink herself and was a bit on the tipsy side. She could hold her alcohol fairly well and wasn't really in danger of getting completely drunk, but it was rather obvious to anyone who ever knew her that when she was drunk, she turned into the grumpiest, snarkiest person in existence. Which unfortunately, the young Swen was now going to be subject too.

"...Oh, so basically your families getting screwed over. Well, maybe they should call off this marriage, yeah?" She grunted, taking another sip of the alcohol in her hands. "And please, my family is nothing special. Bunch of losers descended from some sort of...raider lord or something. I dunno. We don't exactly have a prestigous history." She took a long drink of the alcohol, finishing it off. Her tone of voice was clearly agitated and her entire body language indicated that someone should probably take the alcohol away from her soon.

"I mean really! How the hell are we even nobles! We should be all like...criminals or something, right? How do pirates and bandits become nobles in the first place?" Her voice got a bit louder towards the end of that sentence. "OI! I want another drink over here! Hurry up, Bring me one in the tallest mug ya got!"

Swen frowned slightly as the woman ordered another drink, as she had obviously lost the majority of her self control. This was despite the fact that you could summon more to drink simply by pointing at the glass and requesting it. Still though, Swen needed to get some allies for this adventure. "And there's probably locations of dragons and interesting spells back there as well, adventure to be had." The nobleman avoided saying anything about her family in case she remembered it later, and instead smiled at the woman across from him. "Don't worry, I'll go get you some." The Prince proceeded to walk into the resturant and inform their server to cut off the magic to Gwynn's cup and prevent it from refilling.

The Magierprinz returned to the table, handing Gwynn one final mug of ale. "There you go, glad I managed to find it. Anyways, will you help me out with this sometime later this week?"

"I don't care about reading about dragons! I wanna fight one! Now!" She loudly complained as Swen brought her a mug of ale. "Gah! I'd be rich! We could solve all of the problems if we found one and raided its horde, but nooo, dad says finding one is too dangerous." Gwynn took a long drink of the Ale, practically chugging it, slamming the thing down on the table with a loud thud, seeming to be somewhat calmer as she processed his request.

"Pfft, sure yeah, of course we can. As long as you don't mess anything up, we can do it probably. You got any skills aside from being cute or something?"

The Magierprinz raised an eyebrow as she called him cute, and a sly smile crossed his face along with a slightly pink blush. "Well in addition to being cute, I also have a strong understanding of magical traps and can generally detect them easily. I have a book that can store spells as well, so if we plan on teleporting out it would be easy. And what can you do aside from being pretty? Is Maoin coming along with us?"

"I can kick a dragons scaly ass, that's what." Gwynn replied with a grunt, not commenting on the compliment. "And of course Maoin's coming with us." Really, compared to breaking and entering places, she was likely the least skilled here. That said, she wasn't going to so easily admit that. She could at least boss 'em around and come up with a good plan, probably.

Of course, she was a bit too out of it from drinking to think too hard about it at the moment.

At this point, Swen decided to tap the sleeping kitten a few times. "Well, I'm sure that will come in handy. Thanks for the date" The prince placed a pouch of coins on the table, standing up and giving Gwynn the best smile he could manage. "Maoin, could you make sure your mistress is comfortable when she returns? Do you remember the way back?"

The kitten hadn't drunk in some time, but a quick glance at her mistress allowed her to understand exactly what was going on. Maoin put a hand into her owner's trying to help her up from the table. "You highness, I think we will be alright. Come on mistress, it's time to go home."

Gwynn chugged the last of the alcohol, letting herself be pulled up by Maoin, stumbling slightly but otherwise more or less fine.

"I can...walk myself, Maoin." The blond replied, pulling her hand from Maoin's with a huff. "I can drink a bit more than that before I'm done for."

Maoin watched as her mistress stumbled slightly, but obeyed. If it looked like her owner was about to faceplant, then she'd step in to help. But otherwise, Maoin didn't want to upset her noblewoman any more than she already had and settled for keeping a close eye on her.

Swen walked with the two of them to the door, then set off to return to where he lived. He was sure that the neko would be able to take care of his date.

~Lyssa~

Lyssa grinned, happily following Lukas and her new friend. That said, she wasn't keen on letting Lukas pay. For one, she had a loooot more money than he ever possibly could have access too, therefore she should pay. Secondly, it'd likely bring even more attention away from well, her horns.

"Noooope!~" She giggled. "Silly Lukas, I'll pay for all of it!~" Her parents had told her to be a bit careful with her money, but obviously that didn't include indulging a little or paying for something for her friends. Still though, if Lukas was going to insist she wasn't really in any position to tell him not too either, so she'd likely relent if he was that insistence on it. That said...this place looked really expensive. Well, by human standards at least.

A fun looking floating fountain magically spewed water towards the ground. The building itself was what one might expect from a well to do restaurant. It wasn't overly gaudy, but clearly designed with elegance in mind. Plants sat out front, perfectly arranged and behind there was a large garden where people could more privately sit. Well dressed waiters headed between the tables, allowing those within to interact with them as little or as much as they pleased.

Really, it was quite the expensive looking place, though Lyssa was confident she had enough money to dine here on a regular basis. A rather ornate sign said the name of the place was Di Voglia.

"I don't think you have the money to pay for this place, Lukas!~" She giggled brightly. "But sure, it looks like fun!~ I'd prefer a bakery but it smells delicious. So come onnnn! I'm hungry!" That whole business with the meeting and the headmistress made her a tiny bit hungry, and she was eager to get some food.

The girl bolted into the restaurant, when the three of them entered, they would be escorted to a table near the back of the restaurant, though not in the outside garden. The table the three of them would be seated at was made of fine, polished wood. The area was richly decorated as one might expect, and a quiet murmur of conversation could be heard from the quiet talking of other nobles. There was four chairs at the table, with Lyssa taking a seat in one of them as soon as she was allowed too. She had no idea what sort of food this place would have, but it would hopefully be delicious.

Lunalel Lightsword

Luna had gone along with the duo, to not would be rude at this point. So fair, she could easily say that this Lukas fellow was somewhat a forward guy and Lyssa was very clingy and a little over the top. They were both obnoxious, but it a fun way. As they went into the eatery, Luna marveled a little at how fine a place it was, though she had to wonder why exactly a place this. . . Expensive? Was in the town close to an albeit world-reknowned school. As the three reached their seat, Luna almost hesitantly sat down, unsure if she was fit for this place in her nice armor.

"If you insist on paying for our meals, I will not stop you." Lunalel mentioned as she sat down, looking around the place. She'd not been to a place like this before though more out of personal preference and her duties as daughter to the Lord of the Lightsword family. Lunalel felt out of place, though maybe it was because she got along with those of the lower classes better than her own. This upscale and rich feeling just didn't sit especially right with her. Sure she wasn't wanting a dirty meal or anything, but she was hoping for a louder place with plenty of ale drinking and a good hearty meal. Friendly and boisterous and not . . . Well, this. Still, she was invited and as such, she went along with the two. The Knightess showed none of her slight dissatisfaction on her face as she spoke again. "Thank you for inviting me, someone you've just met, to eat a meal with you both."

~Lyssa~

"Ehee, its fine, Luna! It's more fun with people anyways. We all go to school together so we should all be friends!" Lyssa replied to Luna with her usual enthusiasm, giving her a bright grin. "And yep! You let Lyssa pay for everything. Don't worry about it." About the same time as she finished speaking, the menus were passed out to them and they were handed ornate glasses which of course, would automatically fill with their desired drink. Lyssa had to make sure she was extra careful not to break anything here. Maybe would have been a good idea to bring some gloves.

"Eee, all of this sounds good." Lyssa replied as she scanned the menu, glass filling with a sweet smelling tea in the process. It didn't take Lyssa long to decide what exactly she wanted to eat either, and quickly put the menu down in order to get to know her two best friends a bit better.

"So, so! Luna! You said you're a knight right? Like someone who goes around being all heroic and stuff. You have any fun stories?" Well, the actual chances of that was rather slim probably, but she was making small talk and who knows - maybe the Knight did have a fun story! She also expected said story to be full of embellishments, but details, details.

Lunalel Lightsword

Luna humbly accepted the menu and started to look over it, mentally recoiled at what she saw for prices. . . And wonder just who the hell this girl was to pay for three meals of this. That is, until she asked if Luna had any stories of her time as a Knightess. "Fun stories? Well, most stories I have are of little entertainment value. . ." Lunalel had to think on it for a bit. Really, most of her stories were of going around and helping the villages train up just in case something happened. . . "Oh, well, I do have one story. . . Though I'm not sure if I'd call it fun."

The Knightess looked between the two she shared a table with as she spoke. "I suppose I should start this, by asking if either of you know what a wyvern is. It is similar to a dragon but much smaller, vicious, wild, but weaker. To be honest, it's only similar because of looks since there are many differences that are unnecessary to mention." The Knightess cleared her throat as she continued her tale. "Back home, I would act as a trainer to the villages and help teach the younger generations how to fight. Everyone is militarily trained, albeit not the most disciplined. One day, on a visit, a village reported that a week prior and the night before, two people had been. . ."

Lunalel paused as to give thought to her setting and chose her words in order to give proper respects. "They were mauled." She gave a second to think on to her next part, though her words implied a bit more than what she said. "A handfull of eyewitnesses claimed the monster responsible have flown off to a forest nearby after both attacks. I, of course, volunteered to search for the beast along a few of my fellows. Five of us went into that forest and all but one survived. It put up a good fight. . . Took one of us with it. I'm just glad about anything dies from having it's heart pierced."

It was a sad story, unbefitting the current environment. Lyssa had asked though and Luna obliged. "Sorry if the story is a little on the dark side. If I am to be honest, that's the most interesting thing that's happened to me."

- Lukas Kunze -

... well, if she was so insistent, Lukas guess he could let her pay for the whole meal? It wasn't gentlemanly in the slightest, so he would leave a tip for the restaurant to feel reassured. Shrugging was one of his signs for submission to this, though he was going to make sure he would treat the duo to some sweets afterwards as even if he did tip them, it wouldn't sit right with Lukas. "Eh, fine, if you say so," he mumbled softly, following behind the two.

As soon as he entered within, he found the place to appear... much more eloquent than he expected, though, the fountain was the first indication that this was no mere tavern they had waltzed into, oh no. Even more so, there were nobles of different ages, seated at different tables; Lukas was a little antsy about this whole endeavor.

His little money purse probably couldn't afford much, even here! Lukas was fairly certain he would need to bring most of his funds and pay for it upfront just to have even a fair chance.

Looking over to the younger, pink haired lady, she exclaimed how he lacked the possible funds for this place which was... true to some degree. Blinking, he managed to return for his trance-like state of anxiousness with that comment. "Yeah, this place does look rather interesting and expensive... though," he put a thumb to his lip, tapping as he followed behind the knightess and Lyssa.

The longer he pondered on it, the more and more it became apparent that his first friend was obviously a noble if she was confident enough to finance their meal...

... and she sort of made out with him...

... and he was... dining with two... nobles.

Lukas couldn't help but internally scream in absolute fear as he hustled to catch up with the two, ignoring the murmurs of other blue-bloods. This was not an excellent position to be in as he mused over what to do. There were so many possibilities, yet they all lead to some form of ruin. Alright, no need to freak out... just... think through this, sensibly.

Taking a seat, Lukas seemed somewhat disconnected from the realm, staring off into space with a blank glare on his face. The sights, sounds, and clanking of armor didn't seem to truly phase him at all, though he just thought... but not before being restored once more by the thankfulness of the golden beauty.

"Aye, I have to agree with Lyssa there," he grinned, looking down on the menu. "It may be idealistic, but it is a nice thought to ride on." Lukas chuckled a bit as he went on to reading it, ordering some tea while he was at it.

Eyeing his options, there were myriads of familiar palettes and dishes that came in from Germany! Guess he wouldn't be too far away from home as he stared at the different pieces offered, stealing a glance at Lyssa due to her squee. Eventually, a cup of tea arrived, along with a pot just in case they needed to refill. Picking it up, he delicately began to sip the hot liquid, letting out an exasperated sigh of relief.

As he drank, there was another subject to get the mans mind off the topic of his family name - tales! As soon as the little lady began excitingly requesting Luna to spin them a story. While the chances were slim, it didn't exactly hurt to ask... though, if push came to shove, he could fabricate one of his own to a degree.

Eventually, the lady did proclaim she had a couple of stories, though, whether they were romanticized or not, it wasn't the point.

Though, he was all ears for this once she mentioned a Wyvern. He knew all about each sort of creature, so he didn't bother interjecting. Going on, he often saw the woman pause, almost to recollect herself as he saw the tiniest of details etched on her that hinted to the feelings within and how she viewed them. It was honestly admirable.

...

While the end of the tale was bittersweet, Luna commented, downtrodden about her creating a rather dark atmosphere.

"Hey, you don't need to apologize, you're fine," Lukas finally spoke up, putting his opinions into this. "It was good, realistic, and it does have many, erm, 'bright' sides to offset the morose tone, like..."

Tapping his finger, he fleetingly snapped his fingers before continuing on. "Like the two who were mauled and your ally that was slain... I'm sure they can find peace, knowing the creature plaguing the area was killed." Taking another sip of tea, he decided to glance over at Lyssa.

"Hey, Lyssa; d'you have any stories you would like to spin... well, other than how we met today?" Lukas chuckled somewhat awkwardly, recollecting the... interesting morning the duo had when encountering each other...

"Aww, wowie. That was dark." Lyssa replied with a frown, voice wavering slightly. "But uhm, its good you survived and all!" Despite her encouraging words, it was clear she didn't think much of the story. She was expecting some embellishments like the stories her father used to tell her. Not something so...brutally realistic and honest. The girl turned her head back to Lukas as he asked her if she had anything interesting to tell. Well, she certainly had a few but...she couldn't exactly give much away without revealing who she was, and that was something she had been told explicitly not to do.

"Me? Nope, I'm just a simple human from the countryside." She replied with a giggle. "Nothing much happens there in the middle of nowhere." Not entirely a lie. Her family did have a rather nice house out in the country. "Learned alchemy from my mom and martial arts from my dad though. Oooh, I did beat up a bear once!" Lyssa continued with an enthusiastic grin as if something like that was normal. She didn't elaborate on it though, as their food arrived fairly swiftly, her glass filling with the tea.

"But but, that's not all that interesting! Any stories from you, Lukas?"
