History

What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin:
After finishing college, Gerald decided to put his home and the town with his harsh childhood all behind. Off to search for a purpose and to find a job to start a fresh new life; traveling from town to town before coming to castles, Pennsylvania and it was here that he came across a paper company that had recently started up and moreso, found they were looking for an accountant.

Deciding to go in to try for the job; where he met Aiden Ferguson; a man that seemed to give off an intense aura. He instantly came to respect the man and used the interview to show that he was dedicated and promised to be one of the best accountant this firm has.

Life Up To This Point: Minimal
Born in Branson, Missouri in an high income family; a father who was the ceo of big company. The Fischer family were well known and respected by the people of Branson as he was known to be a kind and generous man. Everyone assumed them to be a happy family that lived in luxury, but for Gerald that wasn't the case.

If only he had an easy, luxurious life; a concept that wasn't possible with a man that abused both his wife and son. They all saw his father to be this saint, but was secretly a sick and twisted person that tortured the two of them in the privacy of their house. For years they were forced to endure this or be kicked out with nothing or worse, which Gerald really never found out what that meant. Nor did he ever find out why his father did this to them...whether for the thrill of it? or simply cause he could? whatever the reason, it didn't matter and the only thing that helped get him through it all was his mother. She constantly told him that no matter how bad it got that it would all be ok for just being alive was worth it.

This went on for years for the two, until one day his father went too far, the day that it would all change for the better. An incident involving his father had cost him his arm, but it was what it took to end it all; not only revealing what kind of man he was, but all the embezzlement and illegal dealings secretly done that caused the company to bankruptcy.

At the age of 11, Gerald and his mother were free of the awful abuse done by fake saint, given enough money to last help them through the years and to help pay for his college. Just knowing that they had survived that abusive hardship and the realization that his mother's advice was right had given him a whole new outlook on life. Since then, he couldn't help but see the positive side in everything, though having to deal with only having one hand. This was especially hard to deal with for the trauma did have some effect on him that lead him to believe he still has the hands. Often dismissing others mentioning his hook hand as a playful joke or a tease, leaving others to think he was delusional.

With him only having one hand, his mother was worried that he would be defenseless and talked him into taking karate for year just so he could have some basic skills to defend himself. He never really liked fighting, but did it to make his mother happy and after taking karate for a year, went off to do his passion of math and numbers.

What helped him cope over the years were his novels and puzzles to help forget about his traumatic past. He even got into collecting stamps and figurines just cause he found it fun and it was also a way to make up for his missed childhood.

Going off to college where he mostly partook math classes and some computer learning. He always had some fascination with computers and how they worked, especially with how they handled and solved complicated and difficult math problems at such impossible speeds which boggled his mind.

Personality: Temperance is probably one of the sweetest people out there! She's always kind to others and treats everyone with respect. In fact, you'll almost never hear her talk bad about another person, believing there's good in everybody. This does tend to get her into trouble since she's liable to believe every word someone says to her. If someone needs assistance, she's there in an instant. If there's anything she can do, she'll do it without complaint. While she seems a bit timid, meek, and mild, Temperance is quite curious about the world around her and might accidentally stick her nose where it doesn't belong.

Perhaps her most prominent negative trait is that she can have some severe bouts of anxiety, to the point she'll break down into a panic attack. Fortunately, she's on medication to help keep her anxiety at a manageable level. Strangely, she is known to crack an inappropriate joke from time to time though, usually regarding a dark topic. What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin: Temperance is a recent graduate from Geneva College down the road from New Castle. Spying an open entry level position for an Accountant, she applied, got an interview, and well... now she's here! She's just beginning but she can already tell it's going to be a long road to travel before she's settled. This is her first job ever, so her anxiety levels are expected to be through the roof.

Life Up To This Point: Temperance comes from a strict yet just middle class family of ultraconservative Jehovah Witnesses. Her younger years aren't quite what one would call normal, considering her family, and she was barred from most forms of entertainment that kids would flock to. Books and puzzles became her entertainment, and she learned a different mindset that instilled the fear and love of God into her. Though her family was hard and has set fundamental rules that she has had to follow, there has been no complaints from Temperance. Notably, technology was almost completely absent from their house save for vital appliances, and she didn't learn how to operate a computer until her Sophomore year of college, having been home schooled a good majority of her life. Even to this day, she doesn't own a cell phone and can only really work Macintosh computers.

After finishing her basic education, the next step was college, something that not all of her family supported. They told her to pray on her decision, which she obliged, and came to the decision that she would go and study Accounting at Geneva College down the road, the first female in her family to do so. College was a new experience for Temperance, though a scary one. Associating with people outside her family circle was a challenge and she found that not everyone saw the world through the lenses her family saw through. There was a wide world out there, full of differing beliefs and opinions. Her eyes were open to so much in such a little amount of time! Her time at Geneva College taught her that, though it was fundamentally a Christian school, she didn't necessarily believe the same things as her parents and her religious nature diminished over time. On an accelerated path through college, Temperance did fairly decently in her studies and graduated with a BSA in Accounting and a solid 3.12 GPA.

After graduating, she was left with a modicum of debt and a yearning to do something with her life. Having lived with her parents for so long, Temperance considered moving out briefly, but she quickly decided otherwise. She was much too unprepared for a step like that! First, she needed a job, and so she went and applied for the modest amount of Accounting jobs in New Castle, the town she has called home all her life. Surprisingly, she managed to net herself an entry level position with Dunder Mifflin. Now Temperance can save up money and... well, she doesn't know what she's going to do with her wages since her parents take care of all the bills. Alas, new adventures await the inexperienced woman!

Salesman, I think, would be a more enjoyable RP experience. :) Head of accounting is also open. I can also open up a Quality Control Representative, since we're getting a lot of people interested in this.
