So I had an idea. You know how in the game you have a choice to get shiny Pokémon by hatching eggs? Well I was thinking that even if you already have too shiny Pokémon, you still have a small chance to hatch one from an egg.

Thoughts?

Shinys to me are a fun element to have in the RP, I just don't want to see the RP littered with Shiny pokemon (IE someones whole team is shiny) - I think a maximum of 3 shiny Pokemon is fair, it is have a party's worth. Once the RP gets really long though I have no problem including more to keep the RP fresh and interesting!

Shinies are really rare anyways, I don't think we should do that. Like I don't think in all my time playing the games I've ever gotten a shiny.

@MissFortune I think 2 or 3 are a good way to keep it. Otherwise it's kind of ruining the point of it being shiny.

In fact Rylen's team doesn't look all that special too. No shinies. Fully evolved they look intimidating as hell though... Except Togekiss, but dude will crit you to hell and back.

But it's been the point of his character too, doesn't look all that special, will kick your ass.

The only shiny I ever got was a Shiny Zorua in Pokemon X from weeks and weeks of chain hatching!

On a side note, I am thinking Ace will catch his 2nd Pokemon somewhere along the line during his detour through Route 17, Misdreavus. It would be a fun story component if she followed Ace and Rolf around, scaring the two and causing general mayhem before joining Ace's team.

I was thinking of a 800 sided die, if you roll a 1 it's a shiny Pokémon that hatches, but only if you are interested in the shiny version.

In Diamond I caught a shiny Floatzel without even knowing it was special.

Thinking of what I should run into in Route 2... I'll probably find a Golett in Route 3 in the desert in some cavern somewhere, but Route 2... Probably Growlithe?

Well, Rylen's also not going to only get the Pokemon for his team, but a little more too, so I wouldn't mind a random roll either.
