If this young adult was found in the arctic, Alex probably wouldn't be too out of place due to his frosty demeanor. When around a lot of people, he can become rather cold and often crude towards other people. He will bluntly state his mind and won't hesitate to skip straight to the point unless he feels like snarking off at a person for acting quite demure. He is slightly a hypocrite in this regards as he dislikes people who constantly beat around the bush and constantly toy with them, especially if the situation is foreboding. In this state, unless you trigger him, he will be nigh difficult to fluster or elicit a volatile reaction from him.

Despite this all, Alex actually feels very... disconnected from other people, save for a few people he seems to trust. He often finds himself feeling lonely with this to regard; to be quite frank, he absolutely loathes it. Alex won't exactly admit this, but he seems to act rather clingy at times, or depressed when not surrounded by others he cares for.

Going further on this, he just doesn't like the feeling of abandonment in general to the point of despising it, even when other people do it. This is one of the quickest ways to set him off, into either pure undulated rage or an unexpressive, dull, solemnness young man.

Most of all, he seems to act more open when around pokemon and will more so select them at the expense of others. During this time, he seems very friendly than it looks to be before and has a particular understanding over how they all act due to previous interactions, though he isn't perfect.

History:

Age 1-6

Having interactions with pokemon his whole life, Alex was conceived by a business man and the owner of a day care center in Johto. While it was near the outskirts of Goldenrod, he always had interactions with other children and myriads of pokemon that trainers would often leave there for a time before coming back to pick them up. The young man seemed to have a quick understanding of pokemon more than he did humans as he would often knew how to interact with each pokemon for the most part, either through sharing some berries with them or playing a few games.

Alex's mother was glad the child was making friends in said department, she felt it would be healthy for him if he had a couple of human friends and often urged him to play with some of them while growing up. Of course, he was somewhat adamant at first, but in due time he inoculated a few others into his "clique" of pokemon friends. Of course, his mom thought he missed the point, but let him do his own thing from this point on, seeing as he had a mutual understanding with the others.

She did keep strict control on which people and poke's to interact with however.

Of course, as he grew up more and more, he was eventually required by law to attend school and was often denoted as a wild child who seemed to rouse up the class and often getting in trouble. This almost lead to him being kicked out of school until his parents enforced some stern methods on him which left him isolated from the beings he came to care about so much. Over time, this lead to him mellowing out in class, but he still had his rough patches.

As he grew older, due to a business position, they had to move out, much to the boys dismay. Alex was often found in tears knowing this, not wishing to leave everything he had behind. So of course, like any sensible child, disappeared into the wilds for a week. Worried, his parents spent most of their free time searching for the boy, fearful of what was to come, contacting the police for any signs of their son, anything.

Things were different, as the boy slowly regressed to some of his older habits and survived due to the partnership he formed with familiar faces. Working together with some of his friends, he managed to organize the food they managed to secure, attempt to scare off pokemon trying to steal their resources, etc. Due to this, some pokemon began flocking around a certain area which eventually lead to the child. Once found, sleep powder was used to put them all to sleep and the boy was retrieved.

Rather sorrowful, he continued to beg his parents to let him stay as he didn't want to lose what friendships he made. While they did regret telling their son about this, they cut him a deal - one day would be dedicated to spending time with those he grew closest to; a huge farewell to him.

Alex sounded particularly pleased about this and he looked forward to such an eventful day, whilst suppressing the thoughts.

Despite all the bittersweet good-byes and fond memories, this left an impact on the boy for the following years to come.

Age 6-14

After the whole event, there was a two day plane ride in which his father attempted to cheer the young Alex up by explaining all the sites and glamorizing most of the interesting places in the region. He explained that him and his mom would be living in Nimbasa City, often talking about how he would have so many events to attend to. While he did tell him most of his time would be spent in Castelia and would make an even bigger attempt to spend time with Alex since he acknowledged that he wasn't there that much for the boy. While he didn't exactly understand everything at the time, Alex gave him the biggest hug he could for a six year old and told him he was a good papa for trying to cheer him up.

While his father spent most of the time trying to reconcile due to lost time, Alex seemed happy for the most part... but when they arrived, he was more... "withdrawn" when it came to school. He always seemed to distance other people from him, keeping people at arms length. While this lead to kids trying to bully him due to his demeanor, he would often brush it off and ignore them... which got boring after a while. So they went to a last resort and got physical.

Which ended badly since they kept trying to gang up on him one at a time.

It only served to push everyone else away completely, seeing as he believed they would only want to come to him to use as a verbal punching bag or otherwise. During this time, he didn't have many friends (aside from pokemon) which left his parents befuddled. This eventually lead to more teasing and eventually the other children making him out to be less than human.

When he was ten, he decided to start helping out his mom at the day care she was hired to work at, seeing as he had nothing better to do. This lead to one of his ventures and a chance encounter at making a friend when one of the Darakuma's decided to run off, leading to a full on chase to get her back. While some of the caretakers were faster, they lacked the stamina to keep up which resulted in Alex chasing the pokemon all the way to the ruins, despite pleas and shouts for him to come back.

Upon entering, he got lost in the place, though he found the place to be quite intricate and interesting. He made sure to avoid the obvious traps and pitfalls that looked to engulf others who fell in. He was able to easily find the Darakuma, following the fading footprints that lead from one hallway to the next.

What he encountered next was unexpected.

As he took note of the spellbound pokemon, he swiftly dove and grabbed it, taking it somewhat by surprise. Of course, there was a youth by the sharp corner who looked to be around his age, standing around the corner. She didn't seem to take much interest in the boy, but he almost found it peculiar that she was out here on her lonesome.

Eventually after that incident, along with returning the Darakuma, he would, from time to time, head out there, either with his parents or solo. More often than not, he would always end up running into her afterwards, always taken aback by her sudden appearance, but soon grew to expect it any time he was there exploring.

Of course, one of the days when he decided to go assist his mom at the day care, he ran into said girl on his way there. While she was fairly silent, Alex seemed to be the more talkative of the duo, starting off by commenting on him seeing her often in the ruins. While he was cautious of her, the lady didn't seem to malignant. One thing lead to another and she eventually invited him on a venture to the ruins with her.

The silence spoke much louder than words.

...

During this time, he often heard of some of the other kids attempting to get their trainer license. While the test wasn't particularly difficult, he didn't care for the most part as that meant you technically graduated from the trainer portion of school, and for the most part. Alex wasn't too keen on missing out on the fundamentals, along with dropping out too early due to the implications... plus he had made a friend also.

Though, when they got older, during one of their journeys in the ruins, she fell into a sand trap and sunk deeper into the enigmatic building.

Which left him horrified to no end.

Over the next few days, he began to search for her, determined to discern her location and bring her home. He even got his parents on the case, though they seemed to have a grim look on their face when he told them.

Eventually after three days, she came back on her own, completely safe and sound... however she seemed somewhat... different than before. She acted enigmatic in a childish way. Sounds all fine and dandy, except Alex, while happy, felt rather bemused about how she survived in there. Further more, she was accompanied by an unfamiliar ghost pokemon which was holding a mask that looked... eerily similar to her face.

One thing lead to another and eventually a confrontation over how she survived. While she continued to playfully mess with him, it only roused him up and caused him to break down due to him immensely worrying about her safety... and her just making one huge joke of it.

Once again he was friendless and the ruins became less... occupied.

... during this time, he moved away once more due to a business decision. He never got to reconcile...

Age 14-17

Nothing to really say here except he was lonely and continued his schooling. Along with that, his mom managed to save up for opening a day care in Estoria City and managed to make it stand out due to its greenery. During this time, he managed to graduate from school, but doesn't exactly know what he wants to do with his life. Still sporting a cool attitude, he started working at the pokemon day care before eventually coming to a resolution on how to discover what he was made for.

A journey.

He had passed his trainer exam a while back and could apply to be a full fledged trainer. Saving up on money, he constantly prepared himself for the task ahead, building up his savings and buying items for the trip. Soon enough the day was there.

It was time for him to encounter his destiny.

To say Lucile Geroux is a bit of an eccentric is an understatement. While at first, she'll likely come off as a somewhat mature girl since she speaks with at least some formality and decorum, anyone who spends any length of time around her will quickly find she is, in fact, not.

While she's not unfriendly, she's definitely not overly so either. In fact, if one had to sum of the eighteen year old's personality, it could easily be described as thus: A teasing, somewhat promiscuous, demanding, pleasure seeker who does things solely for her own pleasure or interest. She'll not hesitate to make fun of someone for small giggles at the expense of their own emotional health or tease someone simply for the sake of teasing them.

It should be noted, she's also not going to go out of her way to help a random trainer either. She probably won't even help someone she knows, unless she can get her 'fun' out of it. Calm and collected as well, its rare to see her flustered in some manner. (some might just call this being completely shameless). And if someone truly ever gets upset at her shenanigans, if they seriously tell her to stop she likely will. Of course, they should make sure to be 100% serious about it otherwise she'll simply believe them to be playing along.

That said, she loves her pokemon and they seem to be just about the only ones she consistently will help without a second thought. If someone does anything to them, they gonna have a bad time.

History:
Not much to say here, aside from she's your average Kalosian girl. Her parents weren't anything special, and she doesn't come from money or prestige. Not that she particularly cares or finds it to be much of a trait of character. Success and prestige comes not from ones family, but how they live their life.

She grew up in Laverre city, becoming interested in pokemon from quite a young age, preferring those of the dark and ghost typing. Most of the time, she spent her life growing up playing around in the swamps of route fourteen until her parents moved to the Fordis region, specifically Solstice Town. She didn't particularly have any special attachment to the place, indeed she saw it as a fun adventure. As such, she adjusted to the move quite easily and she's had a fairly easy and decent life growing up. Though, due to her somewhat promiscuous and troublesome personality, she's gotten into no end of mischief and trouble in the name of her entertainment.

Personality:
To say Lynnette is troublesome is...an understatement. The perfect word to describe her is simply, a brat. She doesn't take much interest in other people, and tends to spend time more or less alone unless its to purposefully antagonize others. Scathing and catty in her mannerisms, she's not a pleasant person to hang around at all. Indeed, she seems to go out of her way to purposefully make herself out to be a bad guy or villain. Whatever the reason, seems to be only known to her and possibly a few other people.

That said, if one just so happens to get past her snark, purposefully antagonistic remarks and general dislike of people she deems to be 'goody two shoes', or otherwise folks attempting to get close to her, they may just find her able to have a conversation easily enough with them. Granted, she always speaks somewhat cryptically when not insulting others so finding the truth behind her words is always difficult. She gives no truths or answers when she's speaks or is asked a question.

Indeed, it seems she's actually quite intelligent and she has a fascination with ghosts, spirits, and other things in general relating to the afterlife. Perhaps, if one were to get close enough to be someone she tentatively calls a friend, then they will see softer side of her and figure out where this fascination with such things comes from. Such a thing would be difficult to do, unfortunately, and wouldn't be something done in a day.

As of now, she seems to have very few redeeming qualities about her. Though, on very rare occasions, she's show to have some redeeming qualities.

History:
Originally hailing from Nimbasa City, Unova, Lynnette has a somewhat...normal life growing up. Her parents were fairly average, middle class folks. A loving family, really, with her parents doing the best they could to support her. That said, there's always been a bit of rift between them and her. It was nothing as flashy as her actively disliking them, but there has always been a silent strain between the parents and their child. For whatever reason, Lynnette simply felt she was being smothered at home, unable to do what she wanted. Whether that was actually true or not, is something that is mostly lost to history.

Lynnette spent a lot of time growing up in the Desert. More Specifically, Relic castle. As a kid growing up, she never really was all that sociable. She preferred to study the ancient ruins there and the company of the pokemon that lived there. Indeed, most often she was found there doing all manner of things. School work, socializing with pokemon and occasionally helping tourists that possibly had gotten lost in there. Having explored it extensively, she knew almost every nook and cranny there.

It was during one such excursion she met a boy. At first, she took almost zero interest in him. In fact, he was interrupting her, so she more or less told him to get lost on numerous occasions. Well, at least until he seemed to make a point of visiting the ruins. And eventually, after some time, she invited this kid to hang out with her. Honestly, he was the closest thing to a friend she had ever had.

And she went and blew it.

Around the age of fourteen, there was an accident. She tripped, getting careless in her exploration and fell into a sand trap. She doesn't really go into detail about what happened, even to her parents or the doctors they rushed her to upon her return. She was fine. She survived, and that's all that mattered. If they couldn't accept such a fact then well, she had little she wanted to do with them. She didn't need the protection of her parents, besides. She made a new friend there. A friendly little Yamask that may or may not have been the sole reason of her surviving mostly unharmed.

After this incident her personality seemed to change drastically. Instead of the quiet, studious girl she become more outgoing, but not entirely in the good way. Often, she spoke as to purposefully confuse people. Behaving in purposefully confusing manners and often times answering questions about what happened with riddles, half truths, and perhaps even the odd soliloquy or two.

In the end, it pushed her friend away, and he moved shortly afterwards. Her life continued in a similar manner from here. Often times, she simply walked out of her front door and left her home. For days sometimes, much to the horrified dismay of her parents. The longest she left currently? A two way ticket to the Johto region by ferry. How did she get her mitts on it? Well, ghost pokemon tend to be good at stealing things.

Eventually her parents found her, and she returned. Now? her parents are at their wits end with what to do with their daughter. They've tried everything. History is repeating itself, and she's brought herself a one way ticket to the Fordis region with no intention of ever returning to Unova.

On the surface, Ray comes off as a rather silly and lighthearted person, frequently engaging in comical behavior and retaining his oft-present grin. He displays a childlike amusement for new situations whether or not they prove adverse or even potentially fatal, he has a penchant for wandering off on his own. Even with all these idiosyncrasies, Ray is extremely personable and has a particularly complimentary nature that easily gains him the friendship and trust of those surrounding him through his actions.

Of course, these aspects hide the complex and determined young man underneath. On the reverse side of his frivolous nature is his considerable shrewdness, which makes him quite capable of reading people and situations. Being singularly ambitious, Ray also has a remarkably tenacious will that allows him to overcome virtually insurmountable obstacles and accept inhuman burdens for the sake of his own goals. Ray has a considerable pride that will not stand for having his humanity insulted or condemned by his enemies, but he is also capable of shelving his pride if it becomes something that will stand in the way of his objective.

Ray is very protective of family and comrades, refusing to allow any harm to come to them and often deem their safety more important than his own in spite of his own personal ambitions and goals. He has to be reminded several times that his own safety is something upon which many people depend and he uses his loved ones as his primary motivation when all hope seems lost. As such, he becomes furious when observing those who willingly or remorselessly cast aside their own comrades or brethren and is sickened by the idea of superiors who reject their duty to those who trust them.

History:
Ray Stylo is a man with a lot to live up to. The Stylo family was well known for thier fanaticism for fire type Pokemon, and thier amazing capacity to train them in Eterna City. With an older brother and younger sister, Ray had no shortage of childhood memories. As a Stylo, Ray grew up around Pokemon, fire types in general, this bred a deep love for Pokemon. Day in and day out, he would spend time with Pokemon, learning from his father, understanding the dangers and goods of Pokemon. Unfortunately, irony seemed to like the Stylo family, as Ray seemed to have an innate fear of flames. This posed a problem forth the family, and only grew worse.

Growing up, Ray realised that his name also seemed to sow discord in his life. Early in his years, school was easy, as with a name like Stylo behind him, he was the coolest. Unfortunately, this popularity transformed to hate, and became a vocal point to those who attempted to bully him. Unfortunately, Ray is not one to be bullied, soon, the young man seemed to find himself in a fight every other week. In his parents eyes, this only posed as an attempt to destroy thier good name, and warned him against fighting. Unfortunately, fighting for Ray was no longer a way to protect himself, but a way to prove himself to others. This opened his eyes to the world of fighting type Pokemon.

This was blasphemy, how could thier son betray them like this. His older brother had followed in his parents footsteps, sporting a Chimchar, and his sister was no different at all. This soon became a topic of interest in house, being compared to those in the family who followed the 'right path'. Ray couldn't take it anymore, he was done. After a small dispute with his mother and father, and a bit of wordplay he was given the opportunity to go to the Fordis Region, where he was to boldly proclaim the Stylo name. Not going to happen. His dream, is to become a fighting-type trainer.

Jackson McQueen

Name: Jackson McQueen

Age: 15

Personality: Jackson is a bold and brash young man who tends to get in over his head quickly. Although he may not think out all his options before doing things Jackson always seems to know howto get himself out of the wild situations he finds himself in. While his love of his family outweighs his love of Pokemon, he will do anything to protect a defenseless Pokemon even if that means putting himself in danger.

History: Jackson is the son of Johnathan and Alexandra McQueen who raised him and his older brother Tyson to love, respect, and protect Pokemon anyway they can. Growing up in the Kalos region his father helped develop his love of Pokemon by helping him and his brother learn how to battle in Lumiose City. His mother made the money by running a boutique in the city as well as being a fashion designer. (Needless to say the boys never worried about clothes.)

One day while playing in the forest just outside the city. Tyson and Jackson found an injured Pidgey and immediately picked it up and carried it to the Pokemon Center in Lumiose City. When Johnathan and Alexandra got to the forest to get the boys for dinner and discovered they weren't there they started a man hunt until Johnathan ran into the Pokemon Center to find the boys sleeping in the waiting area for the Pidgey.

Soon thereafter Tyson and Pidgey became good friends and Tyson left for his Pokemon journey with his Pidgey by his side. Jackson was only 8 and took it rather hard but always looked forward to his brother stopping by until the day his father told him it was time for him to head out to another region to begin his own Journey. Now at 15 JAckson is ready ad eager to begin his journey and thinks the Fordis Region is the best place to do this.

Personality: Rylen's a nice kid, really laid back, rarely seems upset or fazed by anything and shrugs it off with a soft smile and a laugh. Despite that he's a compassionate kid, values the idea of friendship, not just between trainers, but also Pokemon. He is not without any iron-handed values though, he has a belief that the duty of the strong is to protect the weak, and as such he hates the abuse of power, and seeks to become a powerful trainer towards this end. He is still young and starting his journey though, so he is still naive, and rarely chooses wisdom over his naivete.

History: Originally lived in Johto, Blackthorn City, the home to the dragon trainers of almost all the world, Rylen like many kids in the town had aspirations to one day earn the right to enter the Dragon's Den as part of their path to becoming a stronger trainer, or even follow in the footsteps of Lance and Clair. A rather sociable child, Rylen got along well with the kids of the town, he had a knack for Pokemon battles, which showed itself soon enough.

In a Pokemon poaching incident that happened nearby, he ran into a Larvitar and defended it, gym leader Clair arrived shortly after and rescued the pair as she was looking into the activity happening in the area. In that time, Rylen formed a bond of trust with the Larvitar, and managed to ensure the poachers were captured. It was then that Clair recognized his courage, and how he values the bond with Pokemon, and allowed him to enter the Dragon's Den.

For a few years he and Larvitar visited the shrine and trained together, but they would soon have to move to Fordis when he turned 14. After a year of settling into his new home in Fordis, he now sets out on a journey with his Larvitar.

Personality:
Rolf isn't very easy to rouse. He's not easily excited or upset, always in a state of constant mellow contentedness, unless he's out at sea, where he feels even more at peace than usual. Even when excited, Rolf simply will act, and doesn't care much for speaking unless it's important or if someone talks to him first. He's not antisocial, but always seems to be either spaced out or preoccupied. His mind is always racing, and if he's on land he's typically daydreaming of the rolling waves of the endless ocean.

It's hard for Rolf to be compassionate or understanding, even with pokemon or people he's known all his life. Unless talking about his findings or giving advice on subjects he knows a thing or two about- fishing, surfing, sailing, and navigation, mostly- he responds curtly and without much hubbub. Despite his perhaps detached attitude, and his habit of not paying attention to the things around him more often than not if he's not on his boat, he loves to be able to assist others, feeling that it gives him some sort of association to others if he's useful or at the very least to ease his troubled conscience.

His entire life built up of the moral that actions speak louder than words, Rolf never learned to consult with others before jumping into his next course of action. Perhaps it was both his parents being firefighteres, or perhaps his strong sense of adventure and independence, but he is quick to make impulsive decisions, not feeling guilt until they are underway or long after.

Bio

History:
Growing up, Rolf showed a growing interest in learning, though he was distinerested in books and only applied himself to observation. He loved exploring the tide pools near his home town most of all, though he didn't like to fun into any pokemon while he enjoyed nature. He never really had any kind of affinity towards pokemon. Even from a young age, Rolf would avoid petting the pokemon that lived in the houses of so many of his friends and relatives, and he was always grateful his parents kept their pokemon either in their balls or outside in the yard. Rolf found his mom's growlithe and dad's houndour they kept as guard animals charming, but more than anything else they were just tools of the trade.

Both of his parents worked for the Udella Town Fire Department, and their fire type canines were useful in carrying out search-and-rescue operations. He would always go on long walks on the beach with them, but was wary of petting them too affectionately or spending too much time around the fire pokemon. When questioned over his strange behavior, Rolf couldn't give a straight answer. Aside from walking around the beach and around town, the child didn't really appear to be interested to do much, instead content with lounging around and living his life to a routine that never changed. He didn't really seem to show extraordinary passion in anything, though he seemed happy enough.

That was, everything except sailing. Like some other of the relatively well-off families of beach towns, Rolf's family sometimes chartered a boat to go out to small oceanic excursions. There was something about the sea breeze and the deep blue surrounding him that Rolf loved. Once they had taken him to the ocean for the first time, around age eight, it was all he would talk about. His parents chartered boats so often, he became well-acquainted with most of the sailors, even picking up a few pointers from them here and there. Eventually, he thought he had the gist of maneuvering a ship, but his parents refused to allow him to obtain a licence because of the dangerous hordes of jellicent and frillish that were rumored to make boats disappear if people traveled too far out in flimsy ships. When he was fourteen, Rolf rebelled for the first time by applying for his Boating License exam, and -even worse- passing it.

Though he was initially in a lot of trouble, he was otherwise good-natured and well behaved (or, at the very least, disinterested enough in school to not cause any trouble,) so his parents eventually caved and bought him a small skipper boat, on the condition he would always bring a more experienced sailor with him. This was also due to the fact that pokemon were required to be brought on ship, to ward off hostile wild pokemon, but Rolf wasn't all too interested in owning one. Why bother, when other people could take guard duty while he was at the helm? Soon, sailing became his life. He would wake early in the morning and spend entire nights out on the water, never venturing far, but soon strange weather began to wrack all of Unova, including little Undella Town.

He was sixteen when, amidst a storm, Rolf and his supervisor were washed up onto a sandbank far north of Unova. There, it was foggy, and accounts differ on what happened. The rain was coming down hard, so maybe it was in his eyes, they said. Maybe you imagined it all, they said. They all agreed that there was a horde of jellicent that crowded around them, ready to drag them all down underwater to the hellish 'castle' of theirs built of sunken ships and decorated with the remains of fallen humans. In the shadow of evening, through a rainstorm and a veil of fog, Rolf saw a large pokemon, looking to be made out of slime, rise from the depths of the ocean. It was upon later reasearch that he learned that the pokemon called Goodra looked a lot like the mysterious creature.

It was too dark to make out colors, except for the glowing green of its eyes. In addition, it appeared to be bioluminescent, having illuminated spots along its back and tail. It could have very well could have been a Goodra; but wild goodra or its kin had never been spotted within the premises of Unova. More than that, though, the goodra towered high over them, the size of a skyscraper. Several hundred feet tall at maximum, it stomped and thrashed around their ship, the wake of its havoc pushing them closer, back to Undella Town.

From that day, he couldn't stop thinking about what he had seen. Concerned that he would spend days reasearching without sleeping or eating, his parents enlisted him in a program to assist some nearby pokemon researchers who were studying the locale, hoping that it would sate him. It did not. Rolf couldn't help going on his boat, the S.S. Summer Wind, every time there was a storm, if only to recreate the situation on which he first encountered the pokemon. He spent hours floating around the sandbanks, even though there were many dangerous pokemon in the area. He couldn't stop thinking that he had discovered something- be it a new pokemon or simply a strange mutation- and he wanted to find out exactly what.

The experience changed a lot about him. No longer were pokemon part of the everyday; there were so many things that he couldn't figure out. He was so sure that all pokemon had been researched and documented, because of the vast information troves that were kept in databases around the world. Yet, even as he searched everywhere, there was no documentation of anything that was close to what he had seen that night. He was interested in pokemon, especially the potential that what he had seen as a potential hybrid of Goodra and something else.

To this end, he became much more excited about pokemon, copying experiments he had seen or read about with the local wildlife and even the pokemon he had at home- he had never applied for a trainer's license in Unova, as the trainer life didn't appeal to him since he would be spending a lot of time away from his beloved boat, so he simply kept the pokemon sated with food. He made sure to document his findings, and even uploaded a few of his findings onto his blog, though there wasn't much that he found.

Once he turned seventeen, he was out of school and told his parents that he wanted to research pokemon for the rest of his life. Thinking he was being irrational, they asked him to think about joining the Firefighter's Academy, but he remained adamant that he needed some time to chase after his own future. Relenting, they allowed him to leave on the S.S. Summer Wind with a friend, their plan to sail to Castelia and find jobs there, hopefully being accepted into a university. Rolf was unable to sail his ship alone because he still hadn't ever obtained his Unovan Trainer Card.

On the voyage, his partner fell asleep and Rolf saw a large shadow underneath the ship. Risking everything, he followed it, until it led him straight into a storm. Everything went black, until he awoke in a hospital bed. The police told him he wasn't in any trouble, but they found him lying unconscious on the beach without any Fordis identification and worried that he was the victim of a crime. In fact, they hadn't found him with any items at all, and he had been out cold for several days. They were also persistent that there was no trace of any other castaway or any kind of undocumented boat.

What happened to his traveleing companion and his ship? What could have been the mysterious shadow that he was chasing? Curious and panicked at his situation, but not wanting to prove his parents right, Rolf decided to find some clean clothes and explore the foreign region- in the town called Estoria City. Besides, maybe starting off as a fresh-faced trainer wouldn't be a bad way to start his life.

History: Hotaru and her father moved to the Fordis region from the region of Hoenn. Her father is scientist and heard of the many blights occuring in the region. It wasn't right what was going on. None of it was and both trainers and pokemon were suffering. He came to join the teams of other scientists and doctors to help.

Hotaru was already connected with the world of pokemon. On her tenth birthday they moved however,... before she could even choose her starter. However the boat they arrived on wasn't an ordinary boat. Some say it was even haunted. Infact it was, mostly by a few ghost pokemon who felt it was fun to scare and play with passengers. However, Hotaru was one of the only few who actually enjoyed their pranks and found them rather funny. She grew really attached to a set of three of them. A Gengar, a Haunter, and a Ghastly. By the end of the trip they were rather connected. By the end of the trip she took one with her as her very first pokemon. The pokemon was Ghastly of course.

She has a tendancy to be a a pessimist in stressful situations. Fantasia loves competing in Pokémon contests with her Budew and often spends her time fighting for the limelight and coordinating new moves to amaze the audience. She often wears frilly and large ball gowns even to the most casual events, due to her family’s social status and her obsession with beauty. She has an irrational fear of bug Pokémon and has an unhealthy obsession with perfume.

The Heirloom Estate was a large home situated on a gorgeous seaside cliff, owned by William Heirloom the late Cassandra Heirloom. William inherited a fortune from his deceased Father, the co-creator of the Ultra Ball and continued to rake in money by continuing the chain which his father started. William became enamoured with his work and thus had little time for his wife Cassandra whom he hardly spent anytime with since inheriting the Ultra Ball franchise. It wasn't long before Cassandra gave birth to their first child, Fantasia. Unfortunately, Cassandra had passed due to complications while in labor, which sent William in a manic episode. He developed a crippling anxiety when it came to his daughter Fantasia and wouldn’t allow her to leave the estate in fear of losing her. Growing up, Fantasia had a relitively normal childhood, finding friends within the Staff of the manor and the occasional playdate with a few of his co-workers children. Around the age of six, a Haunter had seemingly taken refuge in the estate and would tend to roam the grounds; taking delight in frightening young Fantasia. The torment from Haunter only seemed to grow worse, instilling a crippling fear within her to even leave her bedroom. The days seemed so long back then, in fact her favorite pass time was singing out her window to the Pokémon below wandering the rose garden.

After years of singing, one fateful night she was greeted by a stunningly beautiful voice singing along with her. The two slowly became a lovely duet, preforming form a distance every night as the mysterious singer would inch closer as each night passed until it sounded as if it were right out her window. As time went on, the voice seemed to fade away and Haunter began to take its place. Tormenting Fantasia every night like when she was young, gradually pushing her to tears. As she cradled her head into her arms weeping, she suddenly felt a soft hand on her shoulder.

When she looked up, she saw a white Pokémon with flowing green hair that almost resembled a sheet of music accompanied by a black flowing dress. The Pokémon wiped Fantasia’s tears away and sang its beautiful song again, encouraging Fantasia to sing along while it twirled around the room. From that day on the mysterious Pokémon would visit Fantasia every night for a song and dance, becoming her best and only friend.

All was well in the Heirloom household for a while. With a new friend around, Fantasia finally gained the strength to leave her room without fear. The two would spend hours together playing tag, jumping on the Trampoline, swimming and playing hide n' seek - they were pratically inseperable.

On Fantasia’s 12th birthday, William gave her a Budew as a present knowing Fantasia loved the red roses outside. Fantasia was ecstatic, blurting out how much Budew will have so much fun with her other Pokemon. Puzzled by her comment, William knew Budew was Fantasia's only Pokemon, it wasn't possible she had another unless a dangerous wild Pokemon wandered inside. He asked Fantasia to show him as the two walked upstairs, opening her bedroom door to see the black dress Pokémon sits singing on the windowsill.
Frantically, William and quickly ran to get a net and a Master Ball. Fantasia wasn't sure what was going on and ran after her father, whom shoved her to the ground as he dashed toward the Legendary Pokémon leaving Fantasia to watch in horror.

As he threw the net at the Pokemon as it attempted to fly away, tangling it within and sending it sprawling into the red rose bushes below. Fantasia pleaded that he stopped, grabbing his arm to no avail as the Legendary began to make horribly high-pitched notes. He pushed his daughter into her room, locking her within so that she would not interfere. There were only moments of pure terror as she heard her father's foot steps echo down the stairs and out toward the garden. Fantasia knew she had to act fast, throwing her new Pokeball out the window and onto the grass below.

Fantasia frantically ordered Budew to help the crying Pokémon out of the net. Budew wiggled inside the net and on top of the Pokemon, continuiously using Growth until the net snapped. Fantasia cried out to her friend, pleading for forgiveness. For a final time, the Pokémon let out one soft, sweet song as she wiped away her tears. Suddenly, William hollered at Fantasia from down below, sending her friend frantically dashing away into the night, never to be seen again.

William had become enraged, smacking Fantasia with full force across her face calling her horrible thing before locking her back in her room with a slam of a door. She wanted to run away that night with her friend, but she didn't have the strength. The next day, he lectured her on Meloetta, a legendary Pokémon with a hypnotic voice able to transform into a powerful fighting type. Every night since that fateful evening, Fantasia would sing the same song out her window praying one day her and Meloetta would meet again - until then, Fantasia kept the memorys she shared with Meloetta alive through her favorite song.
As time went on and Fantasia grew older, a deep hatred for her greedy father began to form in her heart. She ordered her servants to dye her hair green to resemble Meloetta and often buys white and black clothes as a tribute to her once best friend.
Currently, Fantasia now devotes much of her time to learning about Legendary Pokémon and watching Pokémon Contests with her Budew on the Television, drawing inspirationg from what she sees and remembering the days her and Meloetta danced around her room. It is just now at 15 years old Fantasia will finally step foot out of the mansion's walls, as she plans to run away from home to become a Pokemon Coordinator - determined to keep Meloetta’s memory alive.

Stubborn and manipulative, Ace wholeheartedly believes that the world belongs to the strong, to him deception is the most defining trait of strength as a means to take advantage of the foolish and respect those capable of seeing what is placed before there very eyes. Despite being elusive he has very strong morals and rarely helps those who are capable of helping themselves. He has a knack for personal gain and material wealth. Despite his somewhat distant personality, Ace has a vulnerable side. He is very ashamed and insecure about his past, doing many terrible things he wish he hadn’t and vowing to never do again. He may appear as a low life con man to people he doesn’t know, yet he is emotionally driven to the needs of those close to him. He has a caring and compassionate side, and always tends to do the right thing when the time calls for it.

History

Ace was born as Brandon Walker, the only child of the wealthy Walker family whom was born with near total blindness. The Walker at the time were partial owners of the Slateport Marketplace and were careful about allowing Brandon to leave the house. Throughout his childhood, Ace was sheltered by his parents who believed his partial blindness made him fragile and incapable of looking after himself which he wholeheartedly disagreed with, causing him to resent his parents overprotective nature. It was around his mid-childhood that news circulated of a Jirachi surfacing around Mt. Moon, to which his parents spared no expense as a means to cure their son's blindness, but to no avail. With time quickly fading and the odds against them, they reached out to Giovanni in a final plea for help, paying a hefty price for Team Rocket’s elite to capture Jirachi in exchange for a granted wish. Unfortunately the family did not think their decision through, leading Jirachi into the hands of Team Rocket whom certainly would use it’s power to fulfill their destructive desires. His parents knew it was too risky to involve anyone else, so they took it upon themselves to right their wrongs for the sake of the world.

They never returned from their mission, but Ace’s vision soon became crystal clear maintaining their icy grey hue. Weeks turned to months which turned to years and the missing persons case that was his parents had never been solved. With that, Brandon was moved to Petalburg City to live in an orphanage until the age of 18, when the time came for him to leave. For a while, he was left homeless only to take refuge in a cave nearby - it was then he developed the art of scamming and thievery. He regularly would regularly take pokeballs, potions, money and even TM’s left behind by careless trainers while they were distracted. He would then trade the stolen Pokemon on the black market to Team Rocket for a cut of the profit, nabbing him a steady job with the organization for a while. His newly acquired wealth allowed him to take up a modest residence at a settlement just off the coast of Virbank City, Unova. As he grew older he began to ponder his place and impact he has made in his life thus far, sending him into a somewhat major existential crisis. It didn't take him long before realizing the bond between trainer and Pokemon, it was as if he had been kidnapping a family member from some poor soul and selling them to the highest bidder.
After days of pondering, he came to the conclusion of leaving Team Rocket in pursuit of a relatively normal life. Unfortunately, after knowing the many secrets of the organization they weren't so eager to let him walk away unscathed, and they knew everything about him. He was left with no other options, other than to walk away and start a new life under the alias Ace to cover his tracks. With that, he was back at square one, using scams and thievery of a minor scale as a means to sustain a modest lifestyle. Ace was sure to be continuiously moving to differnt places to elude Team Rocket while vowing to never steal another Pokemon again.
Along one of his journeys, he stopped at a small diner a few miles from Undella Town for a quick lunch where he observed a flock of Pidove pecking at the ground for crumbs. Among the bunch was a discolored one that stuck out ever so slightly. He took a bowl of rice outside with him and scattered a few grains amongst the flock for the Pidove to consume, paying close attention to the one of a different hue which showed minimal interest. His old ways of Pokemon theft began to haunt him, he even contemplated for a moment how much someone would pay for an off-color Pidove. He was quick to shake the feeling however, and decided to leave it be. Quickly, he stood to throw away the paper bowl, startling the flock of Pidove which flew away in a bundle; all but one, the discolored Pidove.

The two looked at eachother blankly, he wondered why the Pokemon had been acting so strange. For a breif second he thought maybe the Pidove had been injured and unable to fly, perhaps it would be wise to take it to a Pokemon Center. With good intentions and no hesitation he coaxed the bird toward him, calmly consoling the bird who kept the same blank expression throughout the encounter. It hadn't been long before the Pidove waddled into his hands, still staring into his eyes with an empty expression. At first, Ace wasn’t sure what to do with the bird, it didn't seem to be in any pain or anxious in any way, so he just held it in his hands for a while. Minutes turned to hours as he spoke and vented to the bird as if he were speaking with a friend, it made him happy and the Pidove seemed to enjoy the comapny. Abruptly, as he pet the Pidove he witnessed a rather odd sound mutter from it, almost like a bark. Ace grew very confused, setting the bird down on the ground again where it began to nuzzle his leg with its beak as if it wanted to be picked up again. He looked away to grab his bag for a breif moment, only to see a blue discolored Zorua smiling happily up at him, nuzzling its head into his leg to recieve more attention. It wasn’t long before Zorua had hopped back onto his lap to continue receiving affection from Ace. Throughout the course of a few hours he became more infatuated with Zorua as it shifted into different Pokemon as they would pass by, thinking up a more larger scale scam he could pull with his new friend.

Zorua took a liking toward Ace, shifting forms to follow along with him on his journey while scamming unsuspecting victims along the way. There was nothing like a spooky blue Ghastly floating around in the middle of a fancy restaurant to cause a panic filled distraction. Zorua seemed to really love the mischief and attention, and Ace loved the hysteria as a ruse to steal money, the duo made a good team. However, it wasn’t long before there routine was uncovered by a wealthy circus ring-leader who also had a keen eye to swindling money.

The ring-leader was named Banhiti and he confronted Ace about the mass theft after being conned himself. Ace offered to bribe him with a hefty amount of cash, more than he had stole from Banhiti as incentive to look the other way. Banhiti didn't seem angry as he was impressed; in fact, he offered Ace and his blue Zorua a job, a 'magician' act at his circus where he can pull higher profiting scams every night provided Banhiti recieved a cut.

Ace and Zorua adjusted extremely well to circus life, it kept Ace on the move away from Team Rocket and gave him and Zorua a sense of family. As Ace became more experianced in the art of theft he was offered position as a main headliner under the name the Amazing Ace. Using a one-way mirror, Zorua and some fog machines; Ace pretends to ‘temporarily duplicate’ a volunteers pokemon to be discolored which the audience seems to go wild with excitement about. There was one thing Ace forgot to factor though, what happens if the volunteers pokemon happens to be shiny as well?

Personality: At first glance, it would seem as if Deneb was emotionless. That would be incorrect. He's a somewhat normal child, with the only real quirks being that he doesn't mind wearing desert apparel in non-desert areas and locations, and hugging his family heirloom of a dagger whenever he sleeps. Aside from that, he's just just really, REALLY shy. He doesn't really like to initiate any sort of interaction, unless it's absolutely necessary. Even then, whenever he's interacting with people, he keeps quiet out of nervousness, and puts on a mask of indifference. Sometimes this mask gets broken when people mistake him for a girl, which happens frequently. He gets flustered, and tries to speak up, but often doesn't make any sort of difference in the way others view him.

History: Deneb was born and raised in the desert sands that lay within the region of Unova. From birth, his parents took him on all sorts of adventures within the desert. His mother, a former traveler that had decided to settle down, taught him how to use the sky as a compass, and how to douse for water in their sandy home. His father, an archaeologist, took him to explore and inspect ruins whenever they had the chance.

They led a nice little life together, almost free of strange events. Of course, as fate would have it, a life of such dullness would not be the one Deneb would live. He would have to live an adventurous life of his own, even if he had to be ripped away from his parents.

So it was that a sandstorm separated them from Deneb, and left him to awaken alone. Though he tried to search for them on his own, the desert quickly spat him into the cities. Though he waited for them to appear again, he would be met with nothing. He would need to find a way to search for and reunite with them. But he would not do this in Unova.

Fate would send him to another place, a region completely foreign to him. It would have Deneb traverse it's lands for his solution.

Sure, being the professor's son if fun, right? No rules, cool Pokémon, free gear. But for Charles it wasn't like that. For Charles he worried about how his mother would see him as a trainer and how his mother, the Professor of Pokémon, thought he was meeting her expectations. And sure, everyone felt like they had a burden, but Charles' burden seemed heavier to him.

A positive thing about being with Pokémon constantly for the past 2 months has helped him learn to connect with Pokémon. Charles understands them and knows how they feel, and overall it has helped him become an even stronger trainer. But knowing these skills and having been experienced has made him slightly arrogant, and if you're meeting him for the first time he can come off as a complete ass, but once you get to know him, you get to know that he has a caring side to him, which applies to both People and Pokémon. If you truly get to know him and his good side, he'll stand in between you and danger, risking his life to save his Pokémon, his friends, and his family, all of which he puts before himself.

He's ruthless in Pokémon battles. Sure, traveling and having a journey you meet people along the way who may eventually become your friends, but to Charles if it came down to battles and contests, he doesn't play to make friends, he plays to win, by whatever means necessary besides cheating. Cheating would be an ultimate low for him, and really he looks down on anyone who thinks cheating wouldn't be an ultimate low. Even though he has his serious, play to win, putting himself last side, he likes to make jokes, and if he's in a group of people who are laughing, he's the reason.

History

Charlie grew up in Estoria City with his mother and father. He was an only child and always had been. During his early years of childhood his mother had still been studying Pokémon. She had been for four years, and he didn't see much of her in those for years. When the old professor retired and she was offered the job it got better for the family as a whole, but worse for Charlie as an individual. He only saw his mother less since she was always in the lab, and many of the times they came to visit here she was out doing fieldwork. Eventually the fame got to him and his dad, and his mother figured it was better to separate, so that they would t have the stress of press and cameras always on them. His mom naught a hose in a remote part of the Anorsea forest.

He had a good time there. His mother's natural charm for Pokémon led to fun encounters with wild Pokémon in the forest. The only downside was that for the 5 years that he lived there he only saw his mother 3 times. Now he was pretty much cut off from her and had a better connection with his dad. He didn't blame her for it, she didnwhat every Fordisian did. She went to school, studied, got a degree and got a job, but he couldn't help think that she didn't notice that she was cutting him out. When the plans to demolish the forest were announced and his mother had them return home, he didn't really have an emotional connection. The only thing he was looking forward to was getting his Pokémon, and that's when he saw the flyers. The professor was having an event in the sanctuary where you could capture a Pokémon to accompany you on your journey. Then he saw the print date. It was announced before she had them return home. She hadn't even bothered to tell her own son.

Now that he's back he tends to shut out his mother and spend his time in solitude, watching TV, waiting for the day that he would obtain his lifelong friend, and leave the new over protectiveness of his mother.

Personality

Ian has what one might consider "two sides". People who don't know him often see the oblivious nigh vacant Ian, while those he's close to catch the occasional glimpse of fire in his eyes. While he's often quiet and lost in thought, he'll at least make a comment if addressed. While watching Pokemon battles however, his blank expression focuses into an intense stare studying everything that both sides do.

While a lot of people might claim he doesn't look like he pays a lot of attention to things around him, especially during conversations where he seems to only hear about half of what he's told, he has shown himself to be very protective of the egg he has been carrying around in his backpack and knows he'll be even closer to it when it finally hatches. His grandparents hope that starting out on his journey would be the perfect way to make him open up.

History

Ian was born in the distant Orre region's Agate Village where he was raised by his grandparents. Naturally, in a village filled with senior citizens there wasn't much to do but explore the woods surrounding it and loaf around the village...the former quickly becoming boring without any Pokemon around. As soon as Ian grew old enough to leave the village he left, only saying goodbye to his grandparents and made his way to Pyrite town to live with his cousin and see if he could find some excitement.

He found all of the excitement that he could have wanted in watching the Colosseum matches. Seeing people compete for prizes that he could only dream of quickly replaced his vacant stare with childlike excitement, and the prizes the victors gained made him glare in envy. Without a Pokemon though, all he could do was spectate. That all changed after a trainer that had just won the local Colosseum decided he didn't want the dark blue Pokemon egg that had been the prize. Apparently hatching an egg was was "not worth the effort." The man tossed the egg behind him directly at the wall. Luckily Ian managed to catch the egg and bring it home. With no prior knowledge on Pokemon eggs he was forced to contact his grandparents and ask for their advice. Not only did they explain most of what Ian needed to know they sent him a pokeball and an incubator. Eventually the egg started to move, once that happened Ian began to fear that the trainer that had discarded the egg in the first place could find out if it hatched, fearing that perhaps the man that had almost ended its life before it began would come back claiming it as property.

In order to prevent this, Ian called his grandparents one more time and asked them to book him a one way ticket to the Fordis Region. Eventually arriving in Estora City to begin his journey.

Micky is an extremely active guy. He has always been highly energetic. He loves exploring his surroundings and meeting new people and Pokemon. He is one of the friendliest people one could meet. He considers everyone around him a friend even if they make a point that they aren't. He is very trusting nearing on the edge of gullible. He isn't even that complex of an individual. He knows what he wants, says what he wants, and has no screen between his brain and his mouth. Just talking to him for about 10 minutes and you'll be able to understand him fairly well.

History:
Micky was born to Nathan and Taylor Hill. He has two older brothers and an older adopted sister. However, he never got to know his parents due to their death when he was young. He was raised by his oldest brother, Oliver, and sister-in-law, Noelle, alongside his sister, Sadie. About this time his other brother, Alex, was going on his adventure as a Pokemon trainer.

During this time period Micky became very close to various people and Pokemon. Oliver and Noelle ran a Pokemon daycare and both Sadie and Micky assisted them daily. Through his close contact to Pokemon and the constant messages sent by Alex to the family, Micky came to love Pokemon so much and he developed the desire to meet and befriend every kind of Pokemon out there in the world.

Jumping to the present Micky's turn to go out into the world adventuring as a trainer has nearly arrived. He was required to wait til Alex came back home from adventuring before he himself could go, and the brother he desired to be like arrived merely a few days ago with many stories and much advice. Now the time has finally come for Micky to take his turn out in the world of adventure.

Personality:
Depending on the person you ask, Orion could be a no-nonsense type, or some aloof guy you'd mistake for a crazy person if you saw him on the street. When he's doing work, or talking about something he considers to be serious, he's the former. This is usually when he's doing his research, or talking about topics that have made him think.

When he's with friends, he's usually more aloof, cracking stupid jokes whenever he finds an opening. With friends who like to talk about topics more in his area of interest, he can have a calmer and more thoughtful manner of speaking, yet with also a strange excitement.

History:
Originally, Orion lived in a region named Ardosia in one of the bigger cities where he studied at a school for orphans. That was his home, where he grew up, and got a family. There, he was treated well, educated, cared for by the his peers with whom his bond he considered stronger than that one could ever have by blood. They shared the same rooms for the entire time they were there, which was, until the year they left, almost their entire lives.

Children under the age of six would be taught to read and write and would mostly be more at leisure. Once a child turned six, they would start taking courses according to their age and progression in a competitive environment. Mostly, younger students would take courses on simple arithmetics, science and geometry, along with history and lingual courses. The older students would usually specialize, courses sometimes on the biology of pokemon, philosophy, mathematics.... Once they'd completed their mandatory courses and reached the age of 16, they would be allowed to catch a pokemon and go on a journey, or even work as an aide for someone the school would lead them to in the area they want to continue learning about or work in.

Orion chose the latter, choosing to work for a professor at a university in Ardosia. He studied under the man for a year before he was sent to do field work and record data on pokemon. So he came to Nexus, in order to use this chance to go see a new region in the meantime with his pokemon partner.

Leon stands at an impressive 6’5”, and is of a lean build. His skin is brown, and his eyes are a dark brown color, dark enough to be mistaken as black when viewed without enough light. His hair is long and has been braided into many “ropes” that hangs down to his shoulder blades.

He dons a pair of comfortable tan jeans, and thick leather boots. Covering his torso is a cream button up polo and a tan sweater. Over that is a long and well ventilated-water proof trench coat. The trench color is mostly a white colored with an argyle pattern circling around the torso. The sleeves of the coat can be easily removed and stored as needed.

Then finally completing his appearance is a water-repellent fedora with a similar argyle pattern matching his coat, a pair of gloves, and tinted eye glasses.
Personality: Leo had always been quite mature, even when he was young. Even if he can be a bit nerdy. Where other’s tended to be reckless, he tended to be careful; some relied on their gut, he relied on his wisdom and current knowledge. This however is in heavy contrast with his social graces.

While he displays some reclusive and near hermit tendencies, he does force himself to be more outgoing than what he really is. As a child, he kept a very tight circle of friends, and when distance drew them apart he began to try to extend his horizons. But once beneath that upper layer, he’s quite charismatic and can even display a silver tongue when it’s needed.
Then comes adversities. Advertises, he might not be the calmest, but he does try his best to take a step back and take a look at the bigger picture with the mindset of a tactician if he feels he has the time, or something is more complex than it seems. If the threat is immediate and requires a split second thought, he’s prone to making some drastically critical errors.

And lastly… Pokémon. He has a mentality of a non-interference. The Pokémon are in their natural habitat. And they wish to “just be” a majority of the time. If the mon wishes to join him for his adventure, then he’ll accept their company with open arms. Otherwise, he has very little interest in capturing every single Pokémon he sees, or battling every trainer in the world to prove that he’s the best. Should his mon express desire to compete in the league, then so be it. He will go to the ends of the world to let his team have that chance.

History:
Leon was born to an average wage, but caring couple of officers in Grand City. He had never saw himself as the type to roam about the world in the wild for some precarious journey, and instead had focused on his studies in hopes of becoming an engineer. He had found art more interesting than staying out in the elements, math more interesting than testing his Pokémon’s grit against some stranger’s. And science to be more incredible than… well… risking your life. Yes… the world was very narrow for him.

Through most of his life, he had kept to his small group of friends. But with time, the life of a trainer called to each one of them, drawing his small little group further and further away until eventually he lost touch with all of them. And as the days drug on, a depression clung to him with an iron grip.

Eventually, by the time he had turned seventeen. His parents had made mention of him venturing Fordis, to see what drew his friends away. Initially, he wanted to discard the thought… but the words clung to his throat in thought. The idea had it’s merits, and who knows… maybe there was something more for him to see out there.

At 5'5" (165 cm), Nellie has a average build for a girl like her. She has dark brown eyes and wears glasses, and light skinned; her hair is short, and while her hair grows straight down she uses a large blue hairpin to pull them outward, with locks sticking out behind her neck.

She wears a light blue skirt with a pair of darker colored shorts inside that go a few inches above her knees, along with low cut hiking shoes and charcoal grey socks. Her shirt has a short collar and a white chest with gray sleeves that just extends to the elbows. She also has climber gloves that are fingerless on her index, middle, and thumbs.

Personality:
Nellie never cared about what she looked on the surface; she is as subtle as a rock. The teenage girl did not dwell around with anything, and she is very straightforward with what she thinks and wants to do, and often trusts her own morality and capability to do the right thing rather than be concerned with the opinions of others. She can be a bit severe, though Nellie is hardly malicious or hateful, and she visibly likes training and working with Pokemon as she did in her younger trainer days. Pokemon cruelty especially angers her, and Nellie would find ways to return appropriate retribution.

Other than that, Nellie is not very hard to befriend, if people can handle her personality. As an ally and friend she sounds stubborn, but she's also direct and an experienced strategist and doesn't get very rude and snobbish unless someone gets on her nerves. While she's fine with helping others and hanging with pals, she won't bother to babysit brats and serious liabilities.

Outside of Pokemon training, Nellie likes playing board games or reading action novels. She is also a short sleeper, capable of functioning well even after a few hours of napping with energy instead of discomfort.

History:
From the bustling Jubilife City in Sinnoh, Nellie had to learn to get used to urban life and live as independently as possible (with Pokemon); both of her parents, who came from the foreign region of Unova, had moved to the colder Sinnoh region for working reasons before she was born. She also has a younger brother one and a half years younger, which as a kid placed somewhat of a burden on her already tiring schedule.

In her early years, Nellie was quick to distinguish herself in her youth trainer school. Through diligence and heavy practicing she was able to get herself out of the beginners class at age 7 and compete with juniors around her age (though not trainers). People expected her to grow up to be a strong trainer and take on the Sinnoh League. But not many knew about her busy life and her parents' pressure to do research work with her, and when she became ten, Nellie abandoned the idea of challenging the League and did not become an active Pokemon trainer. In fact, when the Pal Park opened around in Sinnoh, her parents went to work for them and Nellie herself ended up observing and studying with her parents on outside Pokemon.

Her spirit for Pokemon battling never died, however. Whenever she had the time outside of her family work, Nellie would battle against passerbys and other young Trainers with whatever Pokemon she had on her. As much as she wasn't an official trainer, she still had some of her skill in battling, albeit a bit rusty. Being holed into rural life and having nothing to do was really getting to the girl.

Thankfully, Nellie's parents noticed their daughter's wanderlust. When Nellie was twelve, the Park introduced some Unovan and Kalosian Pokemon as Sinnoh's Pokemon distribution has changed and the Park was attracting more foreign trainers. They decided to give Nellie a Pokemon of her choosing in the park, giving her a few regular Pokeballs instead of the Park Balls normally used, but she wanted to withhold her decision and consider first.

While looking through the Pokemon in the park, Nellie finally approached one that was quietly dusting itself below a tree – a Minccino with pointed ears and angled white fur that gave it the appearance of sharp, white squares on the tip of its ears. Nellie approached it slowly, and to her surprise the Pokemon didn't run away but instead looked right back at her. She quickly noted those eyes – that of a Pokemon that its goals and dreams deferred, and stuck in the Park with nothing to do. But if he could come along with a trainer...

Nellie promptly caught the Pokemon, more determined than ever to go out and explore distant lands. When she heard about the region of Fordis, she asked her parents, who then agreed to send her there to start the journey she should have done years before. Now, on a boat to Estoria, Nellie prepares for what awaits her...
