The Dale estate in rural New York is home to Dr. William Dale, a billionaire researcher. Unbeknownst to the government he has been performing research on superhuman abilities for the past fifteen years. Now, he welcomes in young people who's powers are manifesting to find refuge in his home where he plans to train them to control their newfound power. Though his cause may seem noble, the young people may learn of his sinister plans in due time.
Character
You're a young adult. Probably in your late teens. Over the last few months, you've begun to fear yourself. Something about yourself that you don't fully understand. Something that you've never seen in another human. Something that is usually only confined to fiction. Abilities that are not present in anyone else. Flight, perhaps. Unthinkable strength. Manipulation of fire. You've had an ability like this on a very minor scale for as long as you can remember, but as you reach adulthood the powers are rapidly increasing in power. You have limited control over your powers and often find yourself losing control, perhaps putting your loved ones in danger - or even yourself. You are lost. Afraid.
But you are not alone. You recently were contacted by a Dr. William Dale, reaching out to young people with this growing powers and seeking to guide them, creating a refuge for them out in the New York state countryside. After some thought you've decided to follow your curiosity and seek out this vigil.
Details on powers:
Present from birth in a minor scale, become more noticeable in adulthood between the age of 15-18. For example those with superhuman strength would perhaps have the strength of someone several years older than them in childhood, but the power would greatly increase in adulthood. Fire manipulators would maybe occasionally cause sparks as a child, but would be able to create full flames in adulthood.
-----------------------------------
Basically the RP will follow young superhumans who will initially join together and train in some remote location, funded by a billionaire researcher. The billionaire in question, however, is not explicitly clear with why exactly he chooses to help the young people, and the plot may ark in a certain way that paints him out to become a villain. The initial "chapters" will be simple, following the characters settling in, whilst later chapters may involve them on the road.
