Supposedly it's not actually the tail count that's high, but rather the shading and the way the artist drew that piece which makes it seem like there's more. It's supposed to only have around 7-9. (And I would assume 9.)

If you try to count the visible ends of tails, you actually get quite less than you'd think. I still get 8-9 when counting.

Oh, you mean the 100 years per tail thing? I wouldn't mind really. Or do you want her to be older? Hehe.

And like I said, I can change a lot of things if need be. Plus you can just imagine less tails than what the image has if we go that route.

@13org: Hmmm. only thing is she'd be half-youkai if one of her parents was human, rather then a full tengu.

@demonspade64: I'll look it over when it's done.

@Ennui: I see no problems here, accepted. ... Though, 100 years per tail WOULD make sense.

@Bishop: Honestly, anything that's either part of the Miura Youth Organization, the Police Department, or can be reasonably seen to interact with them on a regular enough basis, works out fine.

I actually went ahead and made it the 100-year per tail rule. Oh well. :)

Nothing else really changed otherwise, since it didn't seem to be needed.
(Or maybe I shoulda made the "three tail" fact more apparent, rather than sticking it next to the appearance part.. or is that actually more apparent? xD)

Tengus have various forms on the folklore.
Some of them are like Onis with big noses and red skin, others are full crows, some of them have only parts of their bodies like a crow

Tengus are shapeshifters (as the folklore says) explaining the various forms they can have

The one I made doesn't have a beak, but her hands and feet are covered with feathers, having claws and talons.

Additionaly, tengus surnames are formed by the mountain they were born (usually tengus are born and live protecting a mountain / temple)

Also, I searched about their names, it says "Tengu names often feature aa, k, i, and o sounds. They are seldom more than three syllables long, and double syllable names are most common. Female names are more likely to contain b, m and uu sounds."

That's all fine, but if she's a full tengu she needs to have two tengu parents, regardless of how she looks. ^^;
