Like their name say, they're the opposite to the Hindu principle of Ahimsa (Peace, nonviolence etc...)
Sometimes the term "Asura" is also used to refer to Rakshasas. Basically they are incredibly violent and cruel, throw one on a city and it would simply kill and mangle everything it saw moving.
What I thought its one that was raised not on the usual Rakshasas killing grounds, but on another place. The Rakshasi that was its mother was "captured" and trained as a "soldier" (more of a killing machine) due to their race's natural aggressiveness and prowess in battle.
Being the second generation of Rakshasa born on another country, his mannerisms and character are completely different.
