There. Post up. I want to momentarily assure, I had your opponent's Pokémon picked out before you started picking. How it turned out is a result of that.

@Pirouette@Keyblade87 And you two can post whenever to confront your opponents get your battles started. Erika is against Vivia and Reiji will be against Joshua. If you prefer I just make a quick post of them sending out their Pokémon so you can react immediately, I can do that. In the meantime, the rest can go ahead.

Any questions should be directed at me. Otherwise, you may go ahead and issue your first commands, unless you feel like otherwise. Yeah.

Question.

How is confusion going to work, exactly? Is it going to work like in the anime and let the pokemon using it toss the opponents pokemon around with its mind, basically?

Just asking because that seems like it might be a little much if it can basically stop a pokemon from getting anywhere near the user, but maybe that's just me.

@Rune_Alchemist This is a reasonable question. I probably wouldn't have thought of it without being brought up, but good thing you did.

I would prefer we go by the animations/information from the games when it comes to moves. The anime in some cases do some silly things. Like in the case of Confusion or Psychic.

I find it a lot more reasonable to say that these moves are some form of Psychic attack against the target's mind. A purple effect might appear like in the animation, but what's actually happening is that Confusion scrambles the opponent's mind. Probably has to focus with line-of-sight at the enemy, which explains how it could possibly miss. But still, rather competent a move, yes. This is what I reason.

I'm allowing you to react to the enemy attacks after I write that they attempt them. Which means, in my own post, I will be writing how your counter-measure worked. If you wrote ONLY the counter-measure, then in the next post I will only write the result, and skipped the rest. If you also write your next action, then I will write the result of that as I can do both the opponent's counter-measure and the result of it, as I have now.

If I have written that the enemy attacks, and you find that you will definitely take the blow, then feel free to write about taking the hit. If it happens that the hit would faint you, I'd likely have written about it in my own post. If you don't know, then you can leave it with an unclear ending, or just ask me and we'll clarify any way we can. Hahaha. I consider myself a reasonable individual. Any problems, report them to me~

Oh, and triple-battle people? You can totally discuss tactics. Double-battle people too. Haha.

I thought my battle with the magikarp was good stuff, but I most pleased with this battle as well.

As for strats Whopper should eat the ember attacks and just block magby and force Hops to guard it while Aron and Nincada double team the bird. If Natu can avoid both of them attacking then we triangle magby and take it down, ignoring the other two as it can't get three attacks blocked and take them down 1 by 1 starting with that. If Magby goes for the one on one with Aron, I think mudslap super-effective stab plus accuracy down should take the cake. Acutally might be better to start with that as it has a higher chance of working.

So I just realised that Houndour is at a disadvantage either way in this battle, but I guess Tyrogue isn't resistant to fire type moves so he'd be the best pick.

Also, doing two moves in a row is okay, right? I'd assume it would be especially when it's a non-damaging attack then a damaging attack but I'm just checking for future reference.
