I could have sworn a Slowpoke had been indexed previously, but apparently not. Guess simply being there from before you all had Pokédexes made it be missed, huh. Oh, well.

@Pirouette Alright, you start from there. Since this is a bit of a special occasion, we'll say that it's perfectly acceptable for you to decide the result of your own battle. But, of course, Claire's somewhere completely different right now. But I'll get back to you on that. So, you're currently standing on Route 2 outside Infested Woods simply surveying the surroundings? I can continue from there. Nicely posted.

Edit: And I just now noticed the first OOC post still said "we're full right now". Geesh. I was kinda hoping for new players just stumble into this because they were interested without me actually marketing anything, and that'd put one serious hamper on that. Gah. Haha.

And yes, that Poliwag is definitely what Erika is looking for! I was prepared to write a whole monologue of her needing a rock or water type to counter her weakness to fire and debating whether or not the Wet Caverns were worth the investigation or not. But yea, that totally helps!

Ezra Thompson

Appearance:
Ezra stands at a fair height, about 5'7" and weighs roughly 135 pounds. He's usually seen in a combination of light blue and brownish clothing and at times and tends to wear a very light gray scarf around his neck. He has a longish gold blonde hair which is usually tied in a small ponytail, delicate facial features and dark blue (almost a purple) eyes.

Ezra's persona is almost described by his attire itself: The boy is eccentric, outgoing and very communicative, with habits that are barely comprehensible to other people his age. The boy is usually smiling and tends to approach people very easily especially those he seems as interesting or those who have something interesting in his eyes. Despite his outward friendliness, the boy is somewhat untruthful of others - he asks and questions everything, but avoids giving answers.

He possesses a very competitive spirit and absolutely dreads losing. In his eyes, losing is failure and failing is death. No, really, it's almost like he feels this way: When things doesn't go in his favor, you can expect him to be very angry or very sad for the next few hours. He's confident, but not to the point of arrogance. He likes to believe in himself as much as he can believe in others and their potential.

When it comes to pokémon, Ezra is a very gentle, caring trainer. He'll always ask the most of his pokémon - and of course, give his all for them, too. Even though he absolutely hates losing, he'll never put the fault on his pokémon, only on himself. He believes that no pokémon is better than another one, it all depends on the trainer's abilities and perception.

Despite Ezra's eccentricity, he's highly intelligent and analytical of things around himself. He's very perceptive and wary, something that might put him one step ahead of others when it comes to tactics - or put him in a loop over infinite thoughts that'll delay his actions. It all depends!

Ecruteak City (Johto)
Background:
Some say love can be found in the simplest things. For Elza and Henrich, they found in an accidental manner. Henrich was a pokémon researcher; specialized in the water types, he wouldn't stay in a city for more than two or three days. Elza, a specialist in acrobatics and acrobatic pokémon, working in a circus that roamed the Johto region. She was a beautiful woman, attracting many customers with her beauty alone, whereas Henrich was a man far too busy to attend to such events.

Still, destiny played it's mysterious cards and the two met in a very uncommon way. Driven by rumors of the appearance of a legendary water type pokémon close to Olivine City, Henrich made his way there, using a small boat to travel through water. The man saw no signs of any legendary pokémon, however, he did see something that changed his life forever: The woman who would eventually become the love of his life.

Close to the coast, there was a strange yellow light which made Henrich curious enough to shorten the distance between the light, the man's boat eventually coming close enough for him to see. In the water, there was a beautiful young woman dancing in a synchronized manner with a Floatzel - the light's source was a Shinx, who happily smiled as the pokémon too watched the synchronized pair.

Henrich's jaw hanged open as he tried to regain his composure. The woman noticed him, screaming as she was startled by his unexpected presence. From there, the pair grew closer to one another and eventually, Ezra came into existence.

By the time of his birth, the family had settled in Ecruteak. Elza became a pokémon breeder, taking care of many type of pokémon and Henrich aided her, with his ample knowledge on the water type pokémon field. It was inevitable that Ezra too, feel in love with pokémon from a very young age. The boy absorbed his father's mannerisms, becoming an eccentric, yet happy young boy. Still, he learned how to be gentle and caring with his mother and from both of his parents, he learned that pokémon are the greatest friends one can have. While it was expected from Ezra to become a breeder or an enthusiast, he had developed a more... specific dream. The boy always spent countless hours reading about and watching pokémon battles: They were exciting and to him, a battle was where the pokémon could go really all out and show their fullest potential.

However, as much as Erza loved pokémon and had a lot of knowledge regarding them, he never had his own pokémon, neither had actually took part in any pokémon battle. Whenever he asked either of his parents if he could have a pokémon for himself, they'd tell him that he was too young and that he should wait a little more. The boy never understood why age had anything to do with pokémon, so one day he took the decision to go out in the wild and catch himself a pokémon. He even stole an empty pokéball from his father's things.

The boy had wandered pretty far from Ecruteak, inspired by an adventurous growing spirit. Eventually, he saw a wild Stantler standing a few meters from him. Decidedly, the boy took hold of the single pokéball he had in hand, then moved closer and threw it directly towards the Stantler, confident that'd work!

This is it! I got a Stantler!

Ezra was knocked out in the same instant. The Stantler had turned around and kicked the pokéball with it's backlegs, straight back onto Erza's forehead. The boy laid there for a good few hours - eventually he was found by his worried father, who brought him back home. He was scolded, but his parents understood the seriousness of his dream.

A few days after the incident, Erza received an invitation from Professor Kalmia, from the Isson region. Whenever it was work of either his father's past job or his mother's established contacts remained unknown, but naturally, the boy was excited as ever to depart from Johto and make his way to Isson. With his parent's help, so he did and now, he's off to begin the journey that may eventually lead him to his ultimate dream: Becoming a pokémon champion.

Ezra's a lover of all types of pokémon. However, because he learned much about water types, he has a certain special love towards them.

Still just under the maturity line. Haha.

I'll note said child has four (higher-level) Pokémon that your Pokémon has no means of defeating which all have means to which to defeat him back, on the subject of bullying. Which I concur, sounds pretty mean.
