Pokédex Entry #1 – Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokémon. It is born with a seed planted on its back. At first, it survives on the nutrients from the seed, but then the seed and Pokémon starts growing side-by-side, taking in food and sunlight. Typically likes napping in bright sunlight.
Pokédex Entry #4 – Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. A fire burns at the end of its tail from its birth, and the strength of the fire indicates its health and current emotional state. This fire cannot be put out, as it burns by fuel from within. It prefers living in very warm conditions. Caution is advised near newly born Charmanders, as they’re not careful with their fire yet.
Pokédex Entry #10 – Caterpie, the Worm Pokémon. It has a great appetite and eats green leaves larger than itself. Its feet has suction cups allowing it to climb on any surface. If attacked, it can release a stench from its antenna to ward off attackers. It is known to grow fast, and will create a cocoon out of silk for itself to evolve.
Pokédex Entry #13 – Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokémon. It has an acute sense of smell, and can easily distinguish its favorite leaves. It eats its body-weight of leaves every day. Its stinger secretes a powerful venom, and it uses this toxic barb to ward of hostiles.
Pokédex Entry #14 – Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokémon. It sits on a tree, almost immobile while it prepares for evolution. So much activity is being done creating a new body inside that a Kakuna feels hot to the touch. If endangered, it hardens its shell or extends its venomous stinger.
Pokédex Entry #15 – Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokémon. Extremely territorial, should someone intrude on their grounds they attack in furious swarms. They fly at high speed and attack with their venomous stingers. A poisoned prey is then taken back to the nest to feed on.
Pokédex Entry #16 – Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. They are docile Pokémon that avoid fighting, kicking up sand in an enemy’s face or using Whirlwind to avoid battles. They have sharp senses of direction, capable of finding their nest or destination from very large distances. They inhabit tall grass where they search and prey on small bugs. Pokédex Entry #17 – Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokémon. It picks a large area to be its territory in which it makes its nest, patrols circling in the sky for prey and pecks intruders. It has amazing vision, known to spot the movement of prey even at its maximum altitude, and is also known to be able to fly 100 km without pause, prey in its talons.
Pokédex Entry #18 – Pidgeot, the Bird Pokémon. This Pokémon is known to fly at 1000 meters height to spot Magikarp over water before soaring down to catch. It is capable of flying at Mach 2. If threatened, it spreads its wings to appear intimidating, and if that doesn’t work it can unleash gusts capable of bending trees.
Pokédex Entry #19 – Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. It has impressive vitality that allows it to live anywhere there is food. It scavenges for food all day and reproduces quickly. Very cautious, it’s ears listen for trouble even when asleep. It’s teeth never stop growing, it will gnaw on things to keep their size in check.
Pokédex Entry #21 – Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. It eats bugs in grassy areas. It cannot fly very high, but uses its wings to blow insects out of grass for easy pickings. It’s very territorial, and its reckless nature means it will stand up to even far tougher opponents to defend its claim. It has a loud cry it uses to warn other of its kind of danger.
Pokédex Entry #23 – Ekans, the Snake Pokémon. It stealthily sneaks through grass to prey on small animals and bird-eggs. When born, it is short and has no poison, but the poison develops and it grows longer as it gets older. When it sleeps, it wraps itself around a tree to safely sleep high up from the ground. Pokédex Entry #25 – Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon. It stores electricity in sacks inside its cheeks, which it unleashes if threatened. They live in forests, and use their electricity to roast berries. It monitors its surroundings by raising it tail and sensing electricity. If multiple Pikachu gather up, their power increases.
Pokédex Entry #27 – Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokémon. It lives in arid regions burrowing deep underground. It emerges only to hunt for food, which it catches by lounging out of their burrows. If threatened, it curls into a protective ball and bounces off from enemy attacks. If it gets cold at night, its body will coat itself with a fine dew.
Pokédex Entry #28 – Sandslash, the Mouse Pokémon. It uses its claws to dig rapidly and climb trees. It wields these claws to cut at opponents with great skill. If endangered, it either curls into a ball of sharp spines and rolls at enemies or it kicks up a sandstorm. Its spines and claws often break from hard use, but they grow back within a day.
Pokédex Entry #37 – Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. Inside a Vulpix's body burns a fire that never goes out. It commonly inhabits grassy fields, and will feign injury to escape a stronger opponent. When born, a Vulpix has only one snow-white tail, but with age and care it splits into more, warmer tails.
Pokédex Entry #39 – Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokémon. Looking into its eyes causes it to sing a lullaby which, due to it’s unique vocal chords, are able to find the exact frequency at which the opponent cannot help but fall asleep. This is its defensive mechanism, and will sing to the point it cannot breathe against an enemy that won’t fall asleep.
Pokédex Entry #41 – Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It lives in colonies in dark places. It has no eyes, but when flying it is constantly emitting ultrasonic sounds which it uses to navigate through echolocation. As sunlight burns it, it’s usually only found in caves or at night.
Pokédex Entry #43 – Oddish, the Weed Pokémon. During the day, Oddish finds nutrient-rich soil to sleep in and absorbs, specially preferring cold soil. When touched by the moonlight, it then pulls itself up and starts wandering, spreading its pollen and looking for a new place to sleep. If it is pulled up by an aggressor during the day, it shrieks out loudly.
Pokédex Entry #48 – Venonat, the Insect Pokémon. Its many small eyes function like radars and detect insects at night which it eats. A coat of thin, stiff hair that oozes poison covers its body for protection. Its eyes are capable of shooting beams and enable psychic powers. It's attracted to light.
Pokédex Entry #50 – Diglett, the Mole Pokémon. They live underground and spend most of their time submerged. It’s weak to light, and will only pop up where shielded or in caves. They often exist a mere yard underground eating roots. They’re often raised on farms, because soil dug through by Digletts is left perfectly tilled for growing healthy crops. Pokédex Entry #52 – Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. During the night Meowth are known to sneak around stealthily in search of prey and shiny objects which it adores with a passion. During the day, Meowth is known to laze around all day. In the dark, its eyes glow. Pokédex Entry #53 – Psyduck, the Duck Pokémon. It is plagued by headaches from the moment it is born until it evolves. Its vacant look is there to lull its enemies, and by intensifying its headaches it can unleash psychic powers. However, any time it uses these powers will create a lapse in its memory and it won’t remember having done so.
Pokédex Entry #58 – Growlithe, the Puppy Pokémon. Known to be brave and loyal to it’s trainer, but will bark threateningly at anyone entering its territory. It has superb sense of smell and will never forget a smell once it has picked up on it. Through smell, it can sense the emotions of others.
Pokédex Entry #60 – Poliwag, the Tadpole Pokémon. It walks on two small newly grown legs, but it is much faster swimming than walking. Its damp skin is so thin, one can see its spiralling innards through the stomach, but the skin is so flexible that most fangs cannot break through it.
Pokédex Entry #63 – Abra, the Psi Pokémon. Due to the strain of Psychic powers, it needs to sleep for 18 hours a day. However, even asleep it can use its powers, which reads the minds of beings close-by and teleports instinctively if it finds someone hostile. Someone wishing to catch an Abra must clear their mind as they approach.
Pokédex Entry #66 – Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. A Machop is built up by a special muscle, which despite its size makes it stronger than 100 humans and will never tire no matter how much it strains itself. This combined with their general availability makes them a common choice for helping humans with manual labours.
Pokédex Entry #67 – Machoke, the Superpower Pokémon. It is known to help people with extremely tough labour in order to toughen up. It’s muscles is as hard as steel, yet it still needs to wear a belt which holds back its energy in order to not tear itself apart with its own strength. It can pick up a truck with one hand, and will never get tired.
Pokédex Entry #68 – Machamp, the Superpower Pokémon. It is known as the Pokémon that can supposedly throw 1000 punches in two seconds. Machamps are masters of many martial arts, and with four arms it can strike in many unexpected angles. They’re very quick to action, don’t think before they leap, and are absolutely terrible at any form of delicate task.
Pokédex Entry #69 – Bellsprout, the Flower Pokémon. A carnivorous plant, it traps and eats bugs to eat. It can root itself deep into the ground to drink, or uproot itself to move. It’s skinny body is extremely flexible to avoid attacks, and its speed with its Vine Whips at prey are said to be blindingly fast. It loves hot and humid places.
Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage.
Pokédex Entry #75 – Graveler, the Rock Pokémon. A Graveler’s life consists of travelling up mountains feeding on their rocks to grow big, and then rolling down to the bottom to climb again. Due to their free and uncaring nature, they make some mountain trails very dangerous.
Pokédex Entry #77 – Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokémon. After birth it can barely stand, but chasing after its parent day after day makes it stronger and stronger. Their hooves are allegedly harder than diamond, and they’re known to jump unfathomable heights. Its fiery mane grows shortly after birth, giving it an impressive appearance.
Pokédex Entry #78 – Rapidash, the Fire Horse Pokémon. Can usually be found cantering plains or fields. It is very competitive about speed, loving to run at full speed, around 150 mph. At great speed, its flames blaze ferociously, enhancing its appearance. It only slows down to let its children catch up to it.
Pokédex Entry #79 – Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. Extremely slow and sluggish, it doesn’t feel pain until 5 seconds after the blow. It fishes by dipping its tail in water and then doing nothing all day waiting for something to bite. To assist, a Slowpoke’s tail is flavorful, and can break off with no pain and grows back after a while.
Pokédex Entry #81 – Magnemite, the Magnet Pokémon. It floats by emitting electromagnetic waves from the units on its side. It is attracted to electricity and will home in and feed on it, in case of a shortage you might want to check the breaker box for Magnemites. It is eerily silent, known to appear out of seemingly nowhere with a sudden Thunder Wave.
Pokédex Entry #84 – Doduo, the Twin Bird Pokémon. While having identical brains, the two heads have different identities. They take turns sleeping, communicate seemingly telepathically and cooperate to their goals. Better at running than flying, it’s found racing grassy plains with powerful strides up to 60 mph.
Pokédex Entry #85 – Dodrio, the Triple Bird Pokémon. It uses three brains to execute complex plans. It has three hearts, three sets of lungs but only one stomach. The three heads are no longer identical, representing joy, sorrow and anger each, occasionally squabbling with different opinions. They’re largely aggressive and should be approached with caution for pecks.
Pokédex Entry #88 – Grimer, the Sludge Pokémon. Said to be born when the light of the moon hits sludge pumped out of factories. It drinks wastewater along with the waste of factories and loves anything filthy. Each Grimer is composed of different germs, and Grimers share bits of each other to one another to create new poisons.
Pokédex Entry #92 – Gastly, the Gas Pokémon. It is comprised almost entirely from almost invisible gases that it has complete control of. It usually defeat an opponent by shrouding them in its own poisonous gases, which causes most beings to faint. Due to its weight, it will be blown away by wind and therefore takes cover.
Pokédex Entry #95 – Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. It lives deep underground, and it burrows through earth at a staggering 80 km/h in search of food, and it grows harder as it collects material while digging. A magnet in its brain keeps track of which direction it is travelling. The tunnels it creates behind it as it burrows are often used as homes for other Pokémon.
Pokédex Entry #96 – Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokémon. It gains nourishment by consuming dreams. Fun or happy dreams are more delicious, and it can get a bad stomach from nightmares. In battle, it puts enemies to sleep and then eats their dreams. It remembers every dream it has eaten, and if you make friends with one it can show you its best dreams with psychic powers.
Pokédex Entry #106 – Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokémon. It’s legs can stretch and contract for considerable range and its balance means it can kick from any position. After a battle, it rubs its legs to relax the muscles and release the tension. It runs smoothly with long, loping strides.
Pokédex Entry #107 – Hitmonchan, the Punching Pokémon. Said to possess the spirit of a boxer working for world champion. While seemingly resting it can throw punches so quick the eye cannot catch them, and their arms spin when punching to increase power. Trainers need to beware that they need to take pauses to rest every three minutes while fighting.
Pokédex Entry #109 – Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon. It fills itself with lighter-than-air gases to float, and concocts them into poisonous gases within. When agitated, it expels the gases within into a poisonous smoke-screen. However, it can fail the process and randomly blow up. At higher temperatures, it is especially prone to blowing up at little to no provocation.
Pokédex Entry #114 – Tangela, the Vine Pokémon. It is constantly wrapped in countless constantly jiggling blue vines that never stop growing. The vines cloak its unknown contents, and are known to entangle anything that comes close. The vines easily detach if grabbed and grow back within a day.
Pokédex Entry #115 – Kangaskhan, the Parent Pokémon. The child lives in its mother’s pouch until three years old, when it rapidly grows and gains a child of its own. The young is allowed out to play and collect berries if the area is safe. Fiercely protective, the mother sleeps standing to protect its child and will fly into a violent rage if the child is endangered.
Pokédex Entry #116 – Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon. Using its fins, it can move in any direction while facing a different direction. It eats insects that it shoots down with precise shots of water or ink. If threatened, it blasts a large amount of black ink and flees. Its nests are in the shade of corals.
Pokédex Entry #118 – Goldeen, the Goldfish Pokémon. With its fins flowing elegantly in the water like an underwater dress, it has been called the Water Queen. However, take heed, as it’s known to ram its powerful horn into things in its way. It swims up rivers in schools when the weather grows warm.
Pokédex Entry #128 – Tauros, the Wild Bull Pokémon. Famous for their violent nature, Tauros are known to rampage endlessly. When charging, it whips itself with its three tails to fuel its anger. They fight among one another constantly by locking horns. The leader of the herd will have battle-scarred horns, that it’s very proud of.
Pokédex Entry #129 – Magikarp, the Fish Pokémon. While known for being extremely weak and washed away by even the weakest current, Magikarp can survive even in the most polluted of water. They’re incredibly fertile and have spread to waters all around the world. They jump fairly high, and older Magikarps are known to brave mountains with these jumps, seeking evolution. Pokédex Entry #133 – Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. It’s a very rare Pokémon known to have a very unstable genetic makeup. Depending on where it lives, it is known to use evolution into different forms as means to survive harsher climates. It has eight currently known evolutions.
Pokédex Entry #136 – Flareon, the Flame Pokémon. An Eevee evolved by a Fire Stone. A flame sac evolved into its body. Its average body-temperature is around 1400 degrees Fahrenheit, but when it blows out fire it can reach 3000. Constantly heating its surroundings, it has been used for warming houses during winter. Rare to see in nature.
Pokédex Entry #142 – Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokémon. A Pokémon who roamed the skies in the age of dinosaurs, it has today been regenerated from genetic material found in amber. It’s a savage creature that is known to go for the throats of opponents with its sharp claws.
Pokédex Entry #143 – Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokémon. A very lazy Pokémon that typically only eats or sleeps. It is not satisfied unless it has eaten 900 pounds of food in a day, and after having consumed that it becomes lethargic and sleeps. Its stomach acids can dissolve any poison, so it doesn’t have to worry about what it eats.
Pokédex Entry #155 – Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon. A naturally timid Pokémon, it is commonly seen crawled up into a ball. Should it be startled or surprised, flames sprout out of its back for defense. Famously, the flames are the most fierce when it is angry. While rare, it can be found living in grasslands.
Pokédex Entry #161 – Sentret, the Scout Pokémon. A very cautious Pokémon, it stands on its tail to spot far-off threats and shouts an alarm if it sees one. When they sleep, they always does so with at least one Sentret on guard. If separated from the pack, a Sentret is unable to sleep. Pokédex Entry #165 – Ledyba, the Five Star Pokémon. Known to be timid, Ledybas group together for security and warmth. If on their own, they'll be rattled and uneasy. To communicate with others, it conveys its feelings by altering the scent of the fluid it secrates from its feet.
Pokédex Entry #166 – Ledian, the Five Star Pokémon. It supposedly uses starlight as energy. It rests during the day, but come night it flutters around under the starry skies, spreading a glowing powder. The more stars are visible above it, the larger the spots on its back becomes and the more powerful it will feel. It’s naturally attracted to places with clean air.
Pokédex Entry #167 – Spinarak, the String Spit Pokémon. It weaves traps of web in fine but durable silk, and then waits for days upon end for prey to be captured. Its webs are connected to its nerves, letting it know exactly what has been caught. Its web is used for fishing lines.
Pokédex Entry #168 – Ariados, the Long Leg Pokémon. Its rear constantly spins new web. It attaches threads from itself to its nest so it can always find home, likewise it's also known to attach threads to prey and then let them flee so the prey can lead the way to friends and family.
Pokédex Entry #170 – Chinchou, the Angler Pokémon. It is known to live on dark ocean floors where sunlight doesn’t reach. It is capable of discharging electricity from the antenna tips to shock prey or attackers, but it also uses the flashes of electricity to communicate to others of its kind, usually in order to claim their respective turfs.
Pokédex Entry #172 – Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon. It can store electricity in its cheeks, but it's unstable, and may accidentally discharge upon startled or feeling other emotions that my cause it to lose focus. When playing with other Pichu, they touch tails and set off sparks as a test of courage.
Pokédex Entry #177 – Natu, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. While its wings cannot yet fly, it is very good at jumping up trees or from branch to branch with small flaps to help out. It usually forages for food on the ground. Its eyes are usually staring at something, and if that something moves, Natu flees.
Pokédex Entry #178 – Xatu, the Mystic Pokémon. It carries the mystic ability to see both the past and future, yet it stays rooted in place all day long. From the moment the sun rises, it stays still eyeing the sun’s movements until sunset, meditating. Legends say it sees a terrible future it cannot change, and so it doesn’t move. Pokédex Entry #179 – Mareep, the Wool Pokémon. It rubs together its coat of wool to generate static electricity that is stored in its fleece, which can more than double in size with enough electricity. This is how it keeps warm, so it discharges the electricity come summer when it’s not needed. The bulb on its tail grows more brightly the more electricity is stored.
Pokédex Entry #183 – Marill, the Aqua Mouse Pokémon. The tail contains oils lighter than water, ensuring it drifts to the surface even after having dived for food, and the tail can stretch to become very long. It fishes for food at the edge of fast-moving streams. It’s body is water-repellant and it’s dry even when playing in water. Pokédex Entry #187 – Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon. Known to drift on winds, Hoppip is known to clutch to others of its kind to not be separated or to prevent being blown away. It is so light, even the gentlest breeze can lift it. When Hoppips gather, it is said spring is on the way.
Pokédex Entry #194 – Wooper, the Water Fish Pokémon. It lives in cold water, sleeping on the bottom and seeking food by the shore when it's cold. When walking above water, wild Woopers cover their bodies with a slimy, poisonous film that keeps them from dehydrating. It's slightly dull-witted.
Pokédex Entry #195 – Quagsire, the Water Fish Pokémon. A very easy-going Pokémon, they swim about and don’t even mind if they bump their heads into things. When hunting, it simply opens its mouth and moves no muscles, waiting for prey to blunder in. When not moving, it expands very little energy and does not need food for a long time. Pokédex Entry #204 – Pineco, the Bagworm Pokémon. They spit out a glue which hardens upon contact with air. They use this to strengthen their shell with tree bark. They hang in trees waiting for insect prey. If disturbed while eating, Pinecos drops from their trees and explode with no warning.
Pokédex Entry #209 – Snubull, the Fairy (SERIOUSLY!?) Pokémon. It carries a scary face that frightens smaller Pokémon, but Snubull is actually a cowardly, excessively affectionate and kind Pokémon that is very popular with women for its frolicing ways. It becomes sad from Pokémon fleeing it and is known to sleep half the day.
Pokédex Entry #215 – Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It scales trees and ice by punching its hooked claws into surfaces. Naturally vicious, it gangs up and cooperates to lure away the parents while another steals the eggs, which they then eat, though frequently betray their packmates if they can get the food for itself. It uses the shroud of night to conceal its actions.
Pokédex Entry #220 – Swinub, the Pig Pokémon. To survive frigid landscapes, it uses its keen nose to find and dig up mushrooms, berries and other things under the ice. If it smells something enticing, it's known for dashing headlong towards it. It's sometimes used to find hot springs.
Pokédex Entry #225 – Delibird, the Delivery Pokémon. The bag it carries its food with is actually its tail. It’s known to scourge up food all day to bring home to its chicks, but it also shares this food with anyone it comes across. There are plenty of tales of people lost in snowy mountains saved by the food of wandering Delibirds. However, sometimes said food is bugs. Pokédex Entry #227 – Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. It is encased in hard armor, which edges is sharpened by the thorns of the bramble bushes it likes to make nests in. Unhindered it can fly at almost 190 mph. While looking heavy, its wings are hollow and light allowing for free flight.
Pokédex Entry #228 – Houndour, the Dark Pokémon. Houndours hunt in packs, and they have excellent teamwork as they use barks only they can understand to know each other's locations and surround the prey. Around dawn, their ominous howls announce their territory.
Pokédex Entry #236 – Tyrogue, the Scuffle Pokémon. It is always bursting with energy, and is known for nursing injuries after challenging way too tough foes. It has to train every day, and a trainer needs to maintain a regular shedule. Depending on how it is trained, its evolution differs.
Pokédex Entry #238 – Smoochum, the Kiss Pokémon. Its lips are the most sensitive part of its body, and it uses them to identify new things. It is energetic and constantly runs about, though trips often. It tends to be conscious about its appearance, stopping by any reflective surface to ensure it hasn’t gotten dirty. Pokédex Entry #240 – Magby, the Live Coal Pokémon. Its known to inhabit volcanic craters, and its body-temperature is around 600 degrees celsius. When it breaths, hot embers dribble out its mouth and nostrils. Its health can be distinguished by how yellow its flames are, the more the better.
Pokédex Entry #241 – Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokémon. It produces five gallons of milk on a daily basis. Its milk is highly nutritious and seem to help combat sickness. While healthy, it is high in calories and should be accompanied by healthy exercise. It is naturally calm and prefer not to fight, but is known to violently roll at enemies if endangered.
Pokédex Entry #252 – Treecko, the Wood Gecko Pokémon. A territorial Pokémon known to nest inside large trees in the forest, guarding it from anything near. It has small hooks under its feet, allowing it to scale vertical surfaces. It’s famously stubborn, known to not budge an inch no matter how outmatched the opponent has it.
Pokédex Entry #255 – Torchic, the Chick Pokémon. It has a flame that burns within its body, which it can take advantage of to spit fire at foes. It is famous for being one of the most comfortably warm Pokémon to hug, thanks to the warmth and fluffy coat. It’s known to struggle in darkness.
Pokédex Entry #258 – Mudkip, the Mud Fish Pokémon. The fin on top of its head is highly sensitive to movements in water and air, allowing it to act like a radar and giving it impressive awareness. It’s known to rest by covering itself with mud at the bottom of a river. It’s known to be very strong for its size.
Pokédex Entry #263 – Zigzagoon, the Tiny Racoon Pokémon. An exceedingly curious Pokémon which walks in a zig-zag pattern with its nose in the ground. It is skilled at finding items people have left around. It rubs its hard back hair against trees to leave territorial markings.
Pokédex Entry #268 – Cascoon, the Cocoon Pokémon. It’s protected by hardened silk around its body. All its cells generate energy for evolution. Until then, it will not move, even if attacked. It has perfect memory, and after evolution it will seek payback against those who hurt it as Cascoon. Pokédex Entry #269 – Dustox, the Poison Moth Pokémon. A nocturnal Pokémon, known to be instinctively attracted to lights in the dark such as street lights. As it waves its wings, it spreads a dust that is a powerful poison. It eats leaves on trees for sustenance.

They rise climb ashore only in search of cleaner water. If it’s dehydrated, the leaf will wilt. Pokédex Entry #274 – Nuzleaf, the Wily Pokémon. It lives in densely overgrown forests, where it bores holes in large trees to live in. It pulls a lead from its head and makes a flute with. The flute, sometimes heard by forest-land travelers, have special powers that strike fear and uncertainty into people’s hearts. It dislikes having its long nose pinched.
Pokédex Entry #280 – Ralts, the Feeling Pokémon. The horn on its head can sense emotions, and its own mood will be affected in turn. It will approach positive emotion and its body will warm, while it will shy away from and avoid negativity and hostility. Quite rare to see in nature. Pokédex Entry #283 – Surskit, the Pond Skater Pokémon. Found on lakes or in puddles after evening downpours, feeding on microorganisms. It secretes an oil from its feet that enable it to move on water as if skating. When endangered, it secretes a sweet fluid from its head.
Pokédex Entry #285 – Shroomish, the Mushroom Pokémon. It lives deep in dark, damp forest where it eats the composted soil and fallen leaves. By day it remains still in the forest shade, by night it moves to eat. If it detects danger, it can spout highly toxic spores from the top of its head, strong enough to make trees wilt.
Pokédex Entry #286 – Breloom, the Mushroom Pokémon. It lives in warm and humid climates feeding on trees and plants in fields or forests. It’s a powerful fighter, with light footwork and punches that stretch, it’s said to put pro boxers to shame. The seeds on its tail are poisonous and should not be eaten. It spreads poisonous spores from its head as it fights, taking advantage of the dazed opponent.
Pokédex Entry #290 – Nincada, the Trainee Pokémon. It is usually found underground, using its antennae to sense its surroundings. It gains nourishment my tapping into the roots of trees with its claws as it await evolution. Nincadas are nearly blind, and avoid sunlight due to inability to withstand it.
Pokédex Entry #300 – Skitty, the Kitten Pokémon. It lives in holes in trees of forests. It easily becomes fascinated with things and chase them, and it commonly seen chasing its own tail. While popular due to perceived cuteness, it is very difficult to earn a Skitty’s trust and friendship.
Pokédex Entry #304 – Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon. It usually lives in the mountains, where it feeds on the iron ore that makes up its steel body. However, modern technology sometimes lure wild Aron to cities where it feeds on cars or bridges. It makes a new armor in preparation for its evolution.
Pokédex Entry #307 – Meditite, the Meditate Pokémon. It is found deep in mountains, meditating for hours on end and surviving on a berry a day. It trains its spirit, and by heightening its inner strength it somehow achieved levitation. It also enjoys daily yoga workouts.
Pokédex Entry #308 – Medicham, the Meditate Pokémon. A Medicham has, through starvation, meditation and yoga, sharpened its mind to see the auras of others. It has a sixth sense which predicts the movements of its enemies, and fights with graceful dance-like steps to avoid attacks. It can hide its presence by merging itself with fields or mountains.
Pokédex Entry #313 – Volbeat, the Firefly Pokémon. Volbeats live in forested areas with supplies of clean water. Their tails light up in the dark or during the night to communicate, and are known to draw geometric shapes in the night sky. They're attracted to Illumise's sweet aroma.
Pokédex Entry #314 – Illumise, the Firefly Pokémon. They draw complex patterns in the night sky using Volbeats by attracting them with their sweet aroma, and use this to gain respect among other Illumise. For every Illumise, there’s usually a swarm of Volbeats right behind.
Pokédex Entry #315 – Roselia, the Thorn Pokémon. It’s flowers release a scent known to cause extreme relaxation, the scent being stronger the healthier it is. Attempting to pick the flowers will result in it defending itself with its highly poisonous thorns, which it can launch as projectiles. It is drawn towards nutritious waters.
Pokédex Entry #318 – Carvanha, the Savage Pokémon. Territorial and vicious, they’re known to swarm and attack anything that enters their territory. Their strong jaws and sharp teeth are known to have the power to tear out boat hulls. However, when on its own, they turn extremely timid.
Pokédex Entry #321 – Wailord, the Float Whale Pokémon. Among the largest Pokémon ever to have been identified. It’s known to dive up to 10’000 feet deep with the air from a single breath. It herds its prey with the giant splashes from jumping and breaching the surface of the water, and can eat whole schools of fish in a single bite. The sight of one jumping is said to be breathtaking. Pokédex Entry #322 – Numel, the Numb Pokémon. Numel is a cauldron of magma, which powers its fire-moves and enormous power that can move up to around 100kg. It is extremely dull-witted and won’t even notice being hit. If it gets wet the magma cools and it loses its energy.
Pokédex Entry #344 – Claydol, the Clay Doll Pokémon. It’s said to have awoken from a clay figurine of an ancient civilization when a mystic light shone upon it. It is a floating enigma, flying with psychic powers and firing beams its hands. It sleeps while floating in the air, and even if it comes apart it can reassemble itself with psychic powers.
Pokédex Entry #345 – Lileep, the Sea Lily Pokémon. It attached itself to rocks at the bottom of the seafloor using powerful suckers and disguised itself as seaweed until it caught prey swimming close with its tentacles shaped like flower-petals, devouring said prey whole. It went extinct over 100 million years ago, exists today only due to reanimation through fossils.
Pokédex Entry #347 – Anorith, the Old Shrimp Pokémon. It once swan in warm seas, it lives today only through reanimation from fossils. It hides behind rocks and then springs out with speed and clutches onto prey with its two large claws. While it once was a great swimmer with its eight wings, something in the water has changed and today’s water is inhospitable to it.
Pokédex Entry #351 – Castform, the Weather Pokémon. It has the ability to change its cellular structure to adapt to weather conditions, changing its type to take maximum advantage of the current surroundings. By channeling the weather, it gains the power needed to protect its tiny body.
Pokédex Entry #353 – Shuppet, the Puppet Pokémon. It senses the emotions of others, and feeds on dark emotions like jealousy, malice, anger and sadness through its horn. They’re very active at night, and search cities for the houses of vengeful people. They like to gather under eaves.
Pokédex Entry #355 – Duskull, the Requiem Pokémon. Duskull has the ability to pass through walls and make itself invisible. It loves the sound of crying children, and will startle them to make them cry. It typically haunts a victim until daylight comes, as it is nocturnal. It’s single eye can cause unnatural fear in whom it's looking at.
Pokédex Entry #359 – Absol, the Disaster Pokémon. It lives in mountainous regions and don’t often leave them. Its horn senses impending disasters, so it’s known to come down to warn people. In the past, it was misunderstood and thought to be an ill bringer of harm, and many still feel uncomfortable with it. It has a notably long lifespan.
Pokédex Entry #361 – Snorunt, the Snow Hat Pokémon. They're found in snow-regions in groups of five. In warmer seasons, they tend to sleep deep in caverns. They can survive on only eating snow and ice. According to old folklore, a house visited or inhabited by a Snorunt is sure to prosper.
Pokédex Entry #363 – Spheal, the Clap Pokémon. Known to be bad at both walking and swimming, a Spheal’s preferred method of travel is rolling. Its thick fur shields it from all cold, and they’re known to drift to new locations on icebergs. When they’re happy or eating, they tend to clap their tiny limbs to show appreciation.
Pokédex Entry #371 – Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon. It constantly dreams of being able to fly and hurls itself off cliffs to practice. It’s head and body is extremely tough, allowing it to survive this. It’s a big bundle of muscles, and its headbutts can shatter rocks. It’s known to headbutt mercilessly to relieve stress.
Pokédex Entry #372 – Shelgon, the Endurance Pokémon. The shells of the Shelgon which extrude from their bodies behave much like bones, and is very hard and resistant to attacks. Inside, cells are formatting and preparing for the next evolution. During the wait, Shelgon will not eat much, and it becomes hardier by enduring hunger.
Pokédex Entry #373 – Salamence, the Dragon Pokémon. Bagon’s dream of flying finally comes true, and it celebrates by flying all over and sometimes spouting flames at random. While associated with the joy of flying, if enraged Salamence is known to go uncontrollably berserk, rampaging and scorching all in its way.
Pokédex Entry #390 – Chimchar, the Chimp Pokémon. A gas burns in its stomach that fuels the flame behind it, which is extremely difficult to put out except for when it puts out its own flames to protect its surroundings while asleep. It lives on craggy mountains, using its agility and grip to scale sheer cliffs and walls.
Pokédex Entry #392 – Infernape, the Flame Pokémon. Its crown of fire is indicative of its fiery nature. It uses a special martial art that incorporates all its limbs in addition to the flames on its hands and feet when it attacks. It is known for its supreme agility and speed, as well as its willingness to take on any opponent no matter how tough.
Pokédex Entry #393 – Piplup, the Penguin Pokémon. It lives on shores in cold areas. It is a skilled swimmer and can remain for 10 minutes underwater. It is very proud and does not like being taken cared off, despite that its poor footing often makes it fall over on land.
Pokédex Entry #396 – Starly, the Starling Pokémon. They flock in great numbers around mountains and fields as they’re weak on their own. Though this is the case, their wings hold a great amount of power. As their singing is famously noisy and annoying, they tend to be chased away from towns.
Pokédex Entry #397 – Staravia, the Starling Pokémon. They live in huge flocks in forests and fields, flying to search for bugs. They have considerable attachment to their flocks, and upon meeting another flock of Staravia a huge scuffle between the flocks may occur. If alone, a Staravia cries noisily to be noticed and picked up by a nearby flock.
Pokédex Entry #398 – Staraptor, the Predator Pokémon. When it evolves it leaves the flock to live alone. It is savage in nature, constantly challenging foes way bigger than itself. It is known for its will, and will continue to attack even if injured. It constantly fusses about the appearance of its comb.
Pokédex Entry #403 – Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. When its muscles extend or contract, it generates electricity. When it senses danger, a Shinx will let the electricity run through it, causing it to glow. If threatened, it uses its muscles to flash a bright light to blind the predator while it flees.
Pokédex Entry #406 – Budew, the Bud Pokémon. It is sensitive to changing temperature. In winter it closes its bud and endures, while in summer it blooms and releases its pollen. This pollen is mildly poisonous and can cause harsh sneezing. It lives near clear ponds.
Pokédex Entry #408 – Cranidos, the Head Butt Pokémon. A primeval Pokémon, it lived in jungles 100 million years ago, alive today only through reanimation from fossils. Its skull is extremely hard, used for headbutting prey and enemies. It’s known to headbutt trees to snap and fell them for no apparent purpose. It noticeably lacks intelligence.
Pokédex Entry #410 – Shieldon, the Shield Pokémon. An ancient Pokémon which lived in jungles long ago brought back to life from fossils. Its shielded face is extremely tough, but it is weak to attacks from behind. It tends to polish its shield against tree-trunks.
Pokédex Entry #415 – Combee, the Tiny Bee Pokémon. Three are connected at birth and stick together for life. They spend their life gathering honey from flowers to please their Vespiquen. At night, many Combee stack up to become a beehive and sleep.
Pokédex Entry #416 – Vespiquen, the Beehive Pokémon. It is the queen of a colony, and its abdomen is a honeycomb for grubs which it raises using honey collected by Combees. It uses various pheromones to control Combees and grubs in everyday life as well as in combat.
Pokédex Entry #420 – Cherubi, the Cherry Pokémon. It stores nutrients for its evolution in the smaller ball, which makes it really tasty and other Pokémon try to eat it. When the smaller ball shrivels, it’s a sign Cherubi will soon evolve. It is attracted to honey. In harsh sunlight, it becomes red. Pokédex Entry #425 – Drifloon, the Balloon Pokémon. They tend to float around aimlessly. It loves damp weather, and can express emotions by expanding or shrinking. If a child grabs one it looks harmless because they’re so light, but children that have held a Drifloon for too long sometimes vanish. Stories say these children are dragged to the afterlife.
Pokédex Entry #427 – Buneary, the Rabbit Pokémon. It rolls up its long ears, then unrolls them with great force to slap enemies. This attack stings enough to make adults jump and crush boulders to dust. It uses its ears not only to attack, but also to sense danger--they stand straight up when it senses a threat. Its fluffy fur lets it sleep in warmth and comfort on cold nights.
Pokédex Entry #433 – Chingling, the Bell Pokémon. An orb in the back of its throat chimes each time it jumps, making a ringing sound. When endangered it defends itself by emitting deafening high-frequency cries. When it starts crying, it’s hard to make it stop.
Pokédex Entry #436 – Bronzor, the Bronze Pokémon. They were found in ancient tombs, and implements shaped like them are too. Ancient people seem to believe the pattern on their back had mysterious powers. They are closely related to mirrors in ancient writing, yet no surface of it is properly reflective. X-raying it, there’s nothing inside.
Pokédex Entry #437 – Bronzong, the Bronze Bell Pokémon. It caused a buzz when it was first dug up at a construction site after 2000 years. Dug up from the ground, these Pokémon were in ancient times revered as a bringer of rain and plentiful harvest. It can summon rain clouds, allegedly by opening portals to another world, it is said.
Pokédex Entry #438 – Bonsly, the Bonsai Pokémon. It prefers arid environments. If it gets excess water, it leaks out the water through its eyes, making it look like it’s constantly crying, which also serves to make enemies less willing to attack it. It is a fairly good mimic and are often mistaken for real bonsai trees. Somehow.
Pokédex Entry #443 – Gible, the Land Shark Pokémon. It lives in holes in caves warmed by geothermal heat. It awaits prey to stray too close to said holes, and then pounce out to bite them. While usually found underground for heat, they’ve been known to venture into colder climates while huddling together with others of its kind for warmth.
Pokédex Entry #444 – Gabite, the Cave Pokémon. It’s known to endlessly dig into caverns after jewels and other shining objects, which it loves. It is known to amass shiny objects into a hoards it in its nest. It’s known to sometimes shed its scales, and rumors say the scales of Gabites have powers to cure incurable illnesses, and they’re therefore sought for.
Pokédex Entry #447 – Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. It can see the emotions of others in the form of their “auras”, and can also alert others using its own aura when feeling strong emotions. While small, Riolu is really strong. While sensitive to it, Riolu cannot effectively utilize aura.
Pokédex Entry #448 – Lucario, the Aura Pokémon. It can sense the Aura of others, and can by that read their thoughts and movements, and can by that detect even far-off or hidden foes. They use this to detect prey, and also employ aura as offensive power. Often hunt in packs.
Pokédex Entry #450 – Hippowdon, the Heavyweight Pokémon. It has sand gathered inside ports on its body which it blasts out in towering twisters to attack. It is known to be quick to anger, and carries within it a huge strength. Its gaping mouth can open over seven feet wide and crush down with enough force to total a vehicle.
Pokédex Entry #459 – Snover, the Frost Tree Pokémon. They live around snowy mountaintops and carry the ability to summon such storms whenever. During colder seasons they migrate to lower altitudes, and they’re known to be very curious about humans.
Pokédex Entry #464 – Rhyperior, the Drill Pokémon. Evolving its intelligence further from Rhydon, Rhyperior uses the muscles in its arms to shoot rocks or Geodude as cannonballs from the holes in its palms. Its armour can withstand the force of a volcanic eruption.
Pokédex Entry #469 – Yanmega, the Ogre Darner Pokémon. It’s wings are strong, it can create shock-waves by churning its wing and can easily carry an adult human on its back while in flight. It has an amazing jaw-strength, which it uses in its preferred combat strategy of soaring in to bite at top speed before flying away again for another run.
Pokédex Entry #479 – Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon. Its body is composed of plasma. It is known to inhabit abandoned buildings. It is a mischievous Pokémon, known to possess machinery to play pranks and cause destruction. Its type changes depending on the machine it possesses.
Pokédex Entry #498 – Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokémon. A surprisingly nimble Pokémon, it dodges attacks and shoot fireballs back at the same time. It loves to eat roasted berries, but sometimes gets too excited and burns them to a crisp. It has a pretty good nose that it seeks out berries with, but also breaths fire through said nose.
Pokédex Entry #506 – Lillipup, the Puppy Pokémon. The hair on its face senses extremely subtle changes in atmosphere and can be used as a radar. It’s known to bravely face off against terrible odds, but also to run away from battles it cannot win. Pokédex Entry #509 – Purrloin, the Devious Pokémon. It puts up a cute act to fool humans around it. It loves stealing things for fun and will act cute in order to make people forgive it. If endangered, it will counter-attack with sharp claws.
Pokédex Entry #519 – Pidove, the Tiny Pigeon Pokémon. They’re very accustomed to people and flock around cities and parks. They harbour no fear of people and can be very noisy. They’re very forgetful, and is one of few Pokémon that might not understand a trainer’s orders when given one.
Pokédex Entry #524 – Roggenrola, the Mantle Pokémon. First discovered around a hundred years ago in an earthquake fissure, it was compressed to be hard as steel underground. Inside each there is an energy core that keeps it moving. It’s only anatomy is the hexagonal ear in front, making out the world through sound. It has a tendency to move towards sounds.
Pokédex Entry #527 – Woobat, the Bat Pokémon. It inhabits dark forests and caves. It emits ultrasonic waves from its nostrils to learn about its surroundings. They’re known to attach to living beings, and upon separation they leave behind a heart-shaped mark. The mark of a Woobat is supposedly known to bring good fortune.
Pokédex Entry #529 – Drilbur, the Mole Pokémon. They and Excadrills dig out mazelike nests underground in which they live. Drilbur is known for being able to travel very fast through soil, able to reach 30 mph by putting its claws together and spinning rapidly, drilling through earth. They’re known to be rather friendly around people. Pokédex Entry #532 – Timburr, the Muscular Pokémon. They make habits of training themselves by carrying square logs and wielding them as weapons. They’re know to appear at construction sites and helping with the carrying. They pick bigger logs as they get stronger, and when they can handle any log without problem, they’re close to evolving.
Pokédex Entry #534 – Conkeldurr, the Muscular Pokémon. It uses concrete pillars as walking canes, and can swing these pillars freely in battle using the centrifugal force of spinning concrete. It is said that, thousands of years ago, Conkeldurr taught humans how to make concrete. Pokédex Entry #535 – Tympole, the Tadpole Pokémon. By vibrating its cheeks, it can emit high-pitched sound-waves that can be imperceptible to humans. These are used to talk to others of its kind, warn of danger or similar purposes. They work best with allies, and therefore swim and attack in groups.
Pokédex Entry #538 – Throh, the Judo Pokémon. It is known to make belts for itself out of vines, and increase in power when said belts are tightened. When it encounters a foe larger than itself, a Throh is filled with an irresistible desire to throw its foe. It changes belts as it gets stronger. In the wild, they always travel in packs of five.
Pokédex Entry #539 – Sawk, the Karate Pokémon. They train day and night without sleep in the mountains, seeking the most powerful Karate Chop. Tying their belts make them more fired up and therefore somehow stronger, disturbing a fired-up Sawk in the midst of training will launch them into an insatiable rage against their disturber.
Pokédex Entry #543 – Venipede, the Centipede Pokémon. It senses its surroundings using feelers on its head and tail through vibrations in the air. It is extremely aggressive, and its bite contains a powerful poison that can paralyze even large birds.
Pokédex Entry #544 – Whirlipede, the Curlipede Pokémon. It usually sits motionless storing energy for evolution, but if threatened or agitated it spins at high speeds as a wheel protected by its hard shell and crashes into its opponents hoping to tear at them with poisonous spikes.
Pokédex Entry #546 – Cottonee, the Cotton Puff Pokémon. They’re extremely light and mostly go where the wind guide them. They’re known to feel more at ease in a group, so they stick together with others of its kind and resemble clouds floating about. If attacked, they shoot cotton at their attacker to distract them.
Pokédex Entry #548 – Petilil, the Bulb Pokémon. They prefer to live areas with moist, nutrient-rich soil. They’ve been known to be used by humans to find areas suitable for planting plants. The leaves on their heads come right back when plucked off, and while extremely bitter, they’re known to refresh a tired body.
Pokédex Entry #551 – Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokémon. They live hidden in hot desert sands to keep their body temperature from dropping. It’s capable of submerging itself and swimming in sand, only its nose and eyes sticking up occasionally. Due to not being confident in hunting, it usually goes after things that have collapsed in the desert.
Pokédex Entry #557 – Dwebble, the Rock Inn Pokémon. It finds a rock of suitable size. It melts a hole in said rock using a liquid secreted from its mouth, then crawls in and lives in it. A rock-less Dwebble is known to be aggressive until a replacement is found, so be careful should the rock break.
Pokédex Entry #566 – Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. Revived from a fossil, it’s said to be the ancestor of all bird-Pokémon, though later research says this might not be the case. They were unable to fly, but lived in tree-tops and used their wings to jump from tree-branch to tree-branch or simply to glide a considerable distance.
Pokédex Entry #568 – Trubbish, the Trash Bag Pokémon. This Pokémon is born out of a chemical reaction between garbage bags and industrial waste. They like unsanitary places, eating garbage to fuel the poison within, and will stalk people who litter. The poison it belches out can put someone to sleep for a week. Pokédex Entry #572 – Minccino, the Chinchilla Pokémon. It likes to keep wherever it lives clean and tidy, using its tail as a broom for sweeping and dusting. If it finds shiny but dirty items, it usually cleans them. When Minccino’s greet one another they do so through thorough grooming of the other using their tails.
Pokédex Entry #574 – Gothita, the Fixation Pokémon. They’re always staring at something, especially trainers and their Pokémon, and can become so obsessed with watching that it doesn’t notice incoming attacks. It is said they’re watching something only they can see. Their ribbon-like feelers amplify their Psychic power.
Pokédex Entry #576 – Gothitelle, the Astral Body Pokémon. Space is distorted by its intense psychic power, and viewed through that space one can see stars thousands of lightyears away. It is capable of predicting the future by looking at the stars, and it can see the lifespans of trainers by looking at them. If it cries while looking at someone, it may mean they’re not long for this world.
Pokédex Entry #577 – Solosis, the Cell Pokémon. Their bodies are surrounded by a special liquid that protects them from any environment, no matter how dirty. When among its own kind it communicates telepathically, and should it be endangered it drives attackers away using strong psychic attacks.
Pokédex Entry #580 – Ducklett, the Water Bird Pokémon. These birds are far better swimmers than they are flyers, and make excellent divers. When attacked, it defends itself by splashing water at the offender. Their favorite food is peat moss, and they’ll be found chewing on it constantly.
Pokédex Entry #582 – Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. Born from icicles bathed in morning sunlight, they can use their cold breath to create snow crystals and make it lightly snow around them. They’re pleasantly cool to be around, so they’re commonly kept around indoors when it’s hot to keep it cool.
Pokédex Entry #585 – Deerling, the Season Pokémon. A Pokémon known to live in mountain grass, it changes it’s appearance based on current temperature and humidity, effectively giving it a new form for each season. People used them to foretell the current season. They live in herds and are very timid with other living beings, hiding quickly.
Pokédex Entry #586 – Sawsbuck, the Season Pokémon. They migrate according to the seasons. They’re therefore sometimes known as the “harbingers of spring”. Their horns carry different plants depending on the season, and the horns themselves grow to a size equivalent to its status in the herd. The leaders tend to have magnificently large horns.
Pokédex Entry #587 – Emolga, the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. It lives in treetops and holes in trees made by other Pokémon. It stores electrical charge in its cheeks, and uses this energy to assist flight. It has a thin cape-like membrane between arms and body which helps it fly, and this membrane is capable of discharging the electricity it has stored.
Pokédex Entry #588 – Karrablast, the Clamping Pokémon. They live in fields and forests, hiding in tall grass or trees. When threatened, they’re known to spit acidic liquid to drive attackers away. If bathed in electricity together with a Shelmet, both will evolve.
Pokédex Entry #599 – Klink, the Gear Pokémon. Two minigears mesh together and are then joined for life, their magnetic charge will rebound other gears. The two gears are constantly spinning against one another, producing the needed energy for it to survive.
Pokédex Entry #602 – Tynamo, the EleFish Pokémon. They move in schools. While one alone is comparatively weak electrically, a group of them can cause shocks powerful as lightning which they discharge in response to threats. While being fish, they levitate using the electricity they generate in their bodies and make their home in caves. Pokédex Entry #605 – Elgyem, the Celebral Pokémon. A mysterious Pokémon that only appeared around half-a-decade ago, theorized to be linked with a UFO said to have been seen crashing into the deserts of Unova. However, they appeared around Mt. Pokédex Entry #607 – Litwick, the Candle Pokémon. Litwick feeds on life energy, burning it as fuel. The light is out when not feeding, but when lit it can be used to brighten dark areas. Litwicks present themselves as guides to travelers, but is usually leading them astray to leech on their energy.
Pokédex Entry #609 – Chandelure, the Luring Pokémon. They’re known to hypnotize opponents using their dancing flames. It absorbs spirits, which it then burns in its fires. Its fire burn the spirit rather than the body, so a physical body left behind by its flames is entirely untouched despite the damage.
Pokédex Entry #610 – Axew, the Tusk Pokémon. They use their tusks to crush the berries they eat. They tend to mark their territory by leaving gashes in trees or cavern-walls, though the tusks often break. They grow back swiftly, and with repeated regrowth the tusks of an Axew grow strong and sharp.
Pokédex Entry #611 – Fraxure, the Axe Jaw Pokémon. Their tusks are hard and powerful enough to shatter rocks, but if it breaks it no longer grows back. Fraxures therefore carefully maintain their tusks, sharpening them on river-rocks after battles. If they meet another Fraxure, they’ll commonly battle intensely for territory.
Pokédex Entry #619 – Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokémon. While not very strong, it’s very fast and has mastered the art of elegant combos using claws to increase damage. As it concentrates, it grows in speed and efficiency. They have a tendency to start acting like their trainer’s personal body-guards.
Pokédex Entry #621 – Druddigon, the Cave Pokémon. It keeps its body warm by absorbing the light of the sun, without which it grows cold and cannot move. It relies on speed and sharp claws to hunt down its prey in narrow caves, before it returns outside to be heated by the sun. The red on its face is harder than rock.
Pokédex Entry #626 – Bouffalant, the Bash Buffalo Pokémon. They’re fiercely territorial and are known to headbutt anything that comes close to it. Their fluffy fur on their head absorbs damage for them when headbutting, while appearing like a wall to enemies. It’s said to be strong enough to derail a train.
Pokédex Entry #631 – Heatmor, the Anteater Pokémon. It breathes in fresh oxygen through its tail that it then uses to fuel the fire coming out its mouth. It uses this fire as a tongue to burn through the armor of Durant, its prefered prey. It is known to chase Durants endlessly through their complicated mazes to get their meals.
Pokédex Entry #632 – Durant, the Iron Ant Pokémon. They build large, complicated maze-like tunnels in mountains or underground to make their home. They are extremely territorial and attack in groups if endangered, protected by their steel armor. All their strategies are to ensure their continued survival in the face of their natural predator, Heatmor.
Pokédex Entry #636 – Larvesta, the Torch Pokémon. A Pokémon said to have been born from the sun. It lives at the base of volcanoes. It spews fire from its five horns in order to repel enemies, but can also use these flames to fly. When about to evolve, it encases itself in a cocoon of fire until the evolution has been completed. Pokédex Entry #655 – Delphox, the Fox Pokémon. It uses the stick it carries as a wand. Using Psychic powers, Delphox manipulates fire and can fan the flames to over 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit. By gazing into the flame at the end of its wand, Delphox can see into the future. Pokédex Entry #656 – Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon. It secretes flexible and delicate bubbles from its chest and back which absorb damage that would otherwise damage it. While it is known for a happy-go-lucky attitude, it has astute awareness of its surroundings.
Pokédex Entry #659 – Bunnelby, the Digging Pokémon. Its ears are solid and serve as shovels which it uses to dig large burrows in which it lives. It is mainly nocturnal, and will dig throughout the night. Over the years the ears become stronger, and it becomes able to sever thick roots easily.
Pokédex Entry #660 – Diggersby, the Digging Pokémon. It uses its ears, which are strong enough to reduce bedrock to rubble, to dig its way through the earth. With its ears being able to lift tons of weight, they’re often employed around construction sites and is to great help. It is, however, known for lounging lazily for hours at a time.
Pokédex Entry #661 – Fletchling, the Tiny Robin Pokémon. Its widely praised for having a beautiful chirp which it uses to communicate, it’s a merciless creature that claws and pecks at those who enter its territory. When captured, though, it becomes friendly and easy to train. When excited or agitated it doubles in temperature, so surprise-poking it is a good way to get your fingers burned.
Pokédex Entry #662 – Fletchinder, the Ember Pokémon. A territorial Pokémon that will hunt other Fletchinders off if too close. It’s very fast, its acceleration from takeoff is famously high, though can only reach max speed when its flame sack’s gotten warm enough. When feeding it sets grass on fire from its beak, and then feeds on the bugs jumping out in fright.
Pokédex Entry #663 – Talonflame, the Scorching Pokémon. Its diet is mostly built of smaller birds. It flies high, then swoops down at speeds of over 300 mph to catch its prey. Flames fill the gap between its feathers as it flies. If excited in battle, it fans its own flames to scatter fire in splendor. Its sturdy feathers have been used to make fireproof clothes.
Pokédex Entry #664 – Scatterbug, the Scatterdust Pokémon. Using a dust which covers its body and regulates its body-temperature, it can live in any region or climate. If attacked, it can release a poisonous black powder which paralyzes upon contact.
Pokédex Entry #667 – Litleo, the Lion Cub Pokémon. When young they live in a pride, but eventually leave to become stronger or are thrown out when old enough. They’re curious and hot-blooded, quick to investigate and quick to challenge enemies way out of their league. The stronger the enemy, the hotter the fire in its mane grows.
Pokédex Entry #668 – Pyroar, the Royal Pokémon. The male with the largest mane leads the pride. They breathe powerful fiery blasts to threaten any challenger. While the females protect the cubs and hunt the males are usually lazy, but when they’re threatened they will protect its pride with no regard to its own safety.
Pokédex Entry #669 – Flabébé, the Single Bloom Pokémon. At the beginning of its life, this fairy picks a flower that then becomes a part of its body. It can draw out and control the hidden power of flowers, whatever that means. When it floats in the wind, any troubles in its heart is said to wane.
Pokédex Entry #674 – Pancham, the Playful Pokémon. It follows Pangoro around like henchmen, imitating the leader to the best of its ability, but it’s nowhere near as intimidating. Besides this, it enjoys being played with can be quite mischievous. It’s rather easy to trick, so if you pretend to be scared by its glare it can be very effective for boosting its confidence.
Pokédex Entry #675 – Pangoro, the Daunting Pokémon. It is known to be violent in battle, raging forth at enemies like in a berserker rage. To earn the respect of a Pangoro, a trainer will need to learn to fist-fight with it occasionally. It is, however, quite kind-hearted and will defend companions or the weak in the face of oppressors. Twitches in its bamboo leaf somehow allows it to predict an opponent’s moves.
Pokédex Entry #686 – Inkay, the Revolving Pokémon. It’s capable of flashing lights from the dots on its head that drain an opponent’s will to fight, after which a wild Inkay tend to flee. It dazes pray with these same lights, then catch them. Evolving them involves first getting them to a high enough level, then forcibly turning them upside down. Pokédex Entry #696 – Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon. A Pokémon that was restored from a fossil, it originally lived 100 million years ago. It is largely known to be spoiled and selfish, if it doesn’t get what it wants it throws a temper tantrum. Such tantrums are highly dangerous as their jaws are strong enough to chew up an automobile.
Pokédex Entry #702 – Dedenne, the Antenna Pokémon. Through its tail it can connect to power outlets and other sources of electricity to absorb. The whiskers serve as antennas, which Dedenne can use to communicate with others of its kind over vast distances.
Pokédex Entry #708 – Phantump, the Stump Pokémon. Said to be stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died lost in forests. Found mainly in lonely forests where humans don’t tread, they can lead humans astray with their eerie cries that imitate a human child’s. The leaves on its head are said to have healing properties.
Pokédex Entry #709 – Trevenant, the Elder Tree Pokémon. Using its roots to connect to the trees around it, a Trevenant can manipulate trees at will. They’re known to protect the creatures inside the forests where they dwell, and trap those who’d do harm upon the forest.
Pokédex Entry #710 – Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokémon. A pumpkin body inhabited by spirits trapped in this world. It is said to carry such wandering spirits to where they belong so they can move on. They turn restless at night. They comes in many varying sizes, from 7 lbs to over 30.
Pokédex Entry #711 – Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokémon. It is a malevolent Pokémon that catches prey with its hair-like arms and sings joyfully as it causes pain to its victims. Under new moons, they take to wandering city streets while singing in eerie voices. Anyone who hears their song is cursed. They come in varying sizes, from 20 lbs to over 80.
