"Wow." Walter says, after seeing Light's wormhole power in use. "That was so awesome! I wish I could do that." After a moment or two of hesitation, he decided to say screw it and go through the course. "Now, let's see how well a normal little human like me can do this." With that, he clapped his hands together and walked towards the first part of the course.
The first part was easy. After all, he had enhanced agility, skill as an acrobat, and, if he decided to be lazy, a freaking grappling gun. But he wasn't lazy. At least not yet. So, he decided to use his natural skills and jumped from platform to platform. This was rather easy for him, and, before he knew it, he had cleared the first part of the test.
The second part was a bit harder. Walter was strong, but not on superhuman levels as he was just a normal human being with a bit of training. Nonetheless, he tried the second part of the test. He found it to be a bit easier than expected, after all his body was pretty small, but it was still a struggle. His arms gave out at the midway point, but when he tried again he managed to clear it. 'Two down, four to go' Walter thought to himself.
The third part would be easier. At least he hoped it would. Walter got himself into a good position, planting his arms on the wall and then his feet, and began climbing. At about the a quarter of the way up, he began to falter, but nonetheless powered through it. It was three fourths of the way up that he began to think he would fall and break his neck or something. This fear caused him to freeze, before he shook his head to clear the thought, and continued on, despite the ache in his arms and legs. 'Three down, three to go' Walter thought after clearing the third part.
After a few moments of resting and telling himself that it'll all be worth it when he graduates and becomes a real hero, Walter got up and went through with the fourth part. Again, he thought it would be easy, but he was wrong. He nearly fell six times before he finished, and he almost resorted to just using his grappling gun to get to the other side, but decided against it. 'That would go against the spirit of the course,' he thought to himself. 'Then again, that Light girl used a wormhole to get past the sixth part...' Shaking the thought off, he continued through until he got to the end of it.
Part five was the part that Walter was worried about. He was definitely strong enough to lift 50 pounds, but there were multiple walls, all just going up in weight. The first wall was easy. Second wall was easy. Third wall he was a bit strained. Fourth wall he was strained. Fifth wall he thought he was going to be crushed. He powered through, repeating to himself "it's all gonna be worth it, it's all gonna be worth it, it's all gonna be worth it..." Finally, he finished that part, his arms feeling like they were on fire. His legs weren't as bad, but they were still pained.
When he reached the sixth part, Walter just gave up using his natural skill. He pulled out his grappling gun, aimed it at a rafter above the top of the ramp, fired, and flied through the air and onto the rafter. He then retracted the hook into the grappling gun, dropped down onto the top of the ramp, picked himself up, and brushed imaginary dirt off his jacket. Tipping his newsboy cap at Beast, Walter slid down the ramp and rejoined his group.
"You guys should try that without any powers... It ain't easy, I'll tell you that much." The inkblots on his mask moved to make a stereotypical dead face (x's for eyes, and a frown with the tongue sticking out).
