He looks as if he's about to say something, but suddenly he lets go, and begins coughing furiously. He coughs up blood at first, but then, he slowly begins coughing up this black sludge, or, at least, it appears to be a mixture of his blood and the sludge.

Light me attempts to use healing magic on him, or at very least figure out what is wrong.

When he removes his hand from his eye to hug her back, Kevin notices that the iris of his scarred eye is red, like Grima's. "...More importantly, I don't want to hurt you...or the others.." He responds, holding her tight. "I'm a beast...the fell dragon has cursed me to bear his mark for as long as I live..."
