Zoe watched as the creature vanished. Pain registered in some part of her brain, but as she opened her lips to give voice to this hurt, red liquid quelled her speech and oozed from her mouth. The shock brought her to her knees. Her arms felt heavy and leaden, but she managed to move one high enough to trace the bottom of the jagged wound on her abdomen. A stiff breeze kicked up igniting the exposed nerve endings of her torso. In that instant, Zoe vision blurred as her eyelids fluttered wildly. Once again she tried to say something, anything, but all that resulted was a small grim bubble on her lips as the remaining air in her lungs slipped away.

Drac rushes over, his speed kicking up the snow behind him as he runs. When he reaches the dying Zoe he places a hand over the large gaping hole in her stomach, and soon Zoe feels a tiredness creep over her. Like death, cold and calming.

A figure, his hood on, portals in through a dark corridor. He notices Drac and the bleeding Zoe and quickly rushes over, wanting to help. "...Is there anything I can do?" He asks Drac.

He notices Drac is already healing the girl to the best he can, flesh seeming to regrow but to his dismay the flesh withers away as soon as the healing is complete.
"Damn, it looks like that creature did something to make the wound healing resistant." He growls.

A chill ran through Zoe deep to her bones as the desire to allow her eyes to close nearly overwhelmed her. This precarious feeling jolted something awake inside her and her eyelids snapped open. She would not go gently. As her vision focused, Zoe realized Drac was near her and emitting the icy state that had momentarily transfixed her. Feeling along the blood soaked ground, she attempted to crawl away from his reach.

Drac reaches and picks Zoe up, and kicks his powers into overdrive. His entire body glows with blue runes, as one by one they bust apart. Soon a jolt of energy blasts though Zoe, the wound healing and staying closed. Very slowly he sets her down, her feeling like she could smash rocks from the energy in body.
"I....need to go blow off some....energy." Drac says, as he opens a portal and walks towards it. Each step melts the snow under his feet until it either strikes earth or down 7 feet, in perfect shoe print shapes.

In one brilliant bolt, everything in Zoe's field of vision went black. The blood dried on her lips and tongue leaving an acrid metallic taste as she felt the ground disappear from below her. A slice of milky white flesh sticking from Zoe's cracked rib rippled to life as energy coursed through her. As her abdominal wound healed, the foreign blood and sinew fused to her healing body.

"That can't be good...." The figure states, cautiously taking a step backward, ready to summon his weapon if necessary.

Replicating and dividing those monstrous cells began to spread through Zoe's blood. The color drained from her skin leaving no sign of the bluish veins or peachy tones of her former appearance. Her pupils dilated and exploded into a blot of inkish black throughout her eye sockets. Her tongue slid along the sharp new row of teeth that had miraculously replaced her prior dentition. Any pain she had previously felt fell away as Zoe rose to her feet. Drinking in the the scenery, her newly dimmed eyes noted the position of the two figures near her.

She sees that one has disappeared while the other stayed, and is now in a defensive position. "Hey, can you hear me? Are you still you?" The figure asks, still being very cautious.

Zoe snapped her attention toward the remaining figure. Her teeth glimmered a white as pale as her skin as she flashed a sinister smile. "And who was I before?" Zoe's voice resonated in a deep unearthly way as it clawed its way out of her throat. There was something sharp about the way her words sounded as they sliced through her teeth. Reaching toward the figure, her once graceful hands hardened and fused into her arm stretching out in a sickeningly disproportionate tendril and wrapping around the figures neck.

The figure summons his weapon, but realizes he's too late as soon as the tendril wraps itself around his neck. "Ngh!" He lets out a struggled cry as it grips his neck, closing off his main air route. He attempts to throw his blade at whatever Zoe has become, like a boomerang.
