the arcanum blocks out all it's effects as he pulls out a small teddy with a red ribbon, the arcanum shell stopping the claw like armor and sloly disappating it as he kneels down in front of her and offers the teddy, saying "tell you what, how about you play with mine until i can get yours back?" in a gentle voice

The claw slowly rips through the arcanum, pain spreading from the point where the shell of magic is pierced. However, as you produce the teddy bear, the girl opens her eyes, and stops screaming. The mysterious dark being seems to shimmer, the claw stopping it's advance. Slowly, the girl seems to be starting to calm down, although she's still shivering, and looking at you uncertainly.

the shell seems to totally cancel out the shadow being's attacks ((the nature of arcanum is total control but you have to identify the the enemy's arcanum comp before you can nullify it and i'm guessing it'd be in the death tree so life would cancel it out no matter the strength)). micheal offers her the teddy with a small smile saying "here, it's all yours" in a soft voice

However, before she can take it, a spike of shadow rips through it, and Micheal finds himself once more being sliced into, shadows piercing the shield with ease as they snaked into his body, heading for his vital organs. The girl backs away, and once more starts screaming, as a shadowy blade opens up Micheal's neck, blood spattering all over her.

"It's designed to scan the electrical signals in the brain responsible for memories which it projects using a hologram emitter located on the top. It can use the data it collected to sort specific memories from the others." I explain before adding "just don't take it off while it's still running."

Lucy simply smiles in response and helps you to the bed you were in.

You can feel your body attempting to physically forcing you to flee, fear filling you involuntarily each time the being touches you. You recognize that somehow, this being is connected to the girl, obviously. And each time it touches you, the girl's fear washes through you.

((so it has to do with entropy or terror (both of which are in the death tree) so it's d be canceled out and it's only an inifite defense of one element at a time and i have to fucking identify it first!)) micheal still seems to be dodging somehow as if he were being magnetically repulsed by the shadow. he stops weaving arcanum and starts weaving back towards the girls, healing the small cuts he gains along the way
