I mean I only made an assumption considering he seemed a bit ignorant about certain things. Then again, the anime doesn't properly convey a lot of things, and even outright skips some important scenes like Al's backstory, which is kinda unfortunate.

Subaru is a dark souls protag. He dies and dies until he gets that Victory Achieved and gets that dosh bonfire.

It even has fashion souls.

Also Goblins dont exist, or they shouldn't exist. I'm okay with the orc because orcs could just be another subspecies of demihuman or perhaps a mutation from the aforementioned almost end of the world.

But yeah @Lucius Cypher Re;Zero is medieval fantasy political simulator 2k16. Protection and preservation was the main goal of the various governments. Until they realized they might have the strength to repel the witch's influence of course. I'd suggest watching the show if you are going to partake in the rp, assuming you have not already.

I'm fine with the first bit. Mabeast, bandits, other demi-humans, the who doesn't matter so much as the purpose is clear enough: Kill them before they cause too much harm.

As for the second bit, I'll admit what I intend to do was based off a manga I just read called Goblin Slayer. To make a long story short, there might be a high concentration of "weak" monsters preying on villages and such, and the villagers are too poor to pay decent bounties for them. Because the bounties are poor, no experienced adventurer or warrior would bother to take the mission, leaving it to nameless rookies. Trouble is that even though the bounties are low, the dangers are very high; most rookies who go after these quests die because they underestimate the intelligence and strength of seemingly trash-level mobs. My two characters, in an attempt to break the mold, are relatively competent (Malakaus himself being an experienced knight) who is willing to clear our nests of these creatures for the sake of the country folk, who don't have the training or resources to deal with the monsters.

I would like to know some hot spots where the PC's are at so I could bring my characters in their direction. I was thinking of heading to the castle since Malakaus has been away for a while and might need to report in. Plus he needs to introduce everyone to his new Squire, Atisha, so no one gets any funny ideas with her. Afterwards he'll quickly embark on his quest to rid the countryside of some pesks, which I'm sure some of our more adventurous players may want to be part of.

Speaking of the castle, if the thief truly is about to make a run out of the gate, may I have the permission to stop him? Malakaus likely doesn't have the speed, but Atisha could use her magic to make him lose his footing, or even freeze him into place. Or just blast him with water.

Reason 1: He can magically create windows wherever he wants
Reason 2: He already disappeared, and is long gone amidst the crowd of some back alley

So your best bet is either making your own event (eg going to the castle) or joining the clusterfuck at the Iron Bell HQ

You know what that means, @Heckno12. Why don't you have Jiru turn himself in? I'm sure Atisha could spin a story about how he helped her "reclaim" the stolen item so he won't be accused of thievery in the royal palace, and then she can take Jiru under her wing so he could be arrow fodder her bodyguard for Atisha's upcoming adventure.

True, but people think he did. That could spell a lot of trouble for him if no one is willing to clear that up. And since Atisha happens to be in the know with a certain knight, she could help him clear his name and get the royal authorities off his back. Being an outlaw might sound cool on paper, but you're not exactly Robin Hood hero of the people. At least Atisha has some renown for helping the helpless, and if Jiru has a good heart, Atisha could teach him how to use his abilities for the benefit of everyone.

Don't go overestimating Jiru's heart. While he's not a killer, he is and will always be a thief.

On the subject of capturing him however, don't forget about his divine protection. Atisha not knowing about it would put her at quite the disadvantage as far as pursuit.
