We rejected your character because we counted nine individual powers when the maximum was three. Giving a character multiple powers under the name of one doesn't work.

If you have any more thoughts about our decision, please take it to PMs. We're willing to work with you and compromise if you are.

Hogwash or not, the CS is the general outline for how you intend to play your character. Being presumptuous with your personality traits just makes you look like an asshole. Just because you have agency over how you're playing your character doesn't immediately refute the argument. But, that's all I'll say about it - it's morning, I have class. If you'd like to continue arguing you can take it to PMs like Undine said.

Oh of course, Danielle will start out incredibly weak! I'm not gonna have her throw around fireballs just yet, but I still do want Danielle to have potential to be someone powerful.

And like you said, magic is really broad, but hopefully you guys can trust me to keep it under control and not use it as a cheap plot device. I'll try to keep Danielle focused on magic that relates more to hecate. Y'know necromany, nature, etc.

(Also if you guys have any suggestions and/or criticisms, send them my way! I can take it.)

Okay, this is probably a really weird question but: do powers need to be like subtle? Or can they be big? Because I'm seeing a big but that makes me feel as if some demi-gods will be better in a fight than others. Actually, I think my question is more like: what do the GM's prefer for the story? Should a demi-god be able to hold his ground?

Oh, just a minor titbit but if you take 1 power instead of the max of 3, can it be really versatile/powerful?

Lovely character! First of all, "The Mist" is a solely PJO term as far as I can tell - I wasn't even sure myself so I had to look it up, haha. So, I would recommend you change that section to just illusion magic; now that will take away the ability to teleport, and hold items, and all the other things the Mist does. However, Illusion magic alone is still a pretty cool power.

That brings me to the whole issue with magic - as stated, it is a very broad term to use. So, I really like the point you've made about focusing on Hecate's own specialties; nature's already been covered in the second power, which is awesome. Illusion magic could replace your first, and necromancy is fun for the whole family, so that could take up your third power - entirely up to you.

The thing is with magic, from what I can tell, most Demi-Gods in the stories are capable of doing magic (Just as they're overall more resistant and stronger than a regular human); a child of Hecate will just be stronger, more talented, and more resistant to the consequences of magic. So while Danielle - and the other Demi-Gods - are capable of casting spells of any kind, the ones mentioned in the powers section of her CS will be her specialty; her talent; and more importantly, the ones that won't kill her in attempting them.

Other than that, she is good to go!

Another great character - just some minor tweaks needed here.
For your first power, I would recommend turning it to a more... chameleon affect, rather than insinuating no harm has or ever will come to her. She has the ability to make eyes pass over her without noticing anything at first, as opposed to someone threatening looking at her, and then deciding not to be threatening. I only say this because in the IC, with monsters and whatnot, it doesn't seem likely they'd decide to just not attack her; not noticing her at first is different, and also very useful.

And I'm somewhat confused over your second power - how do you plan to use it usefully in the IC?

Sorry for the delay on your updated CS, I've had a few crazy days. Daniel is wonderful as an Aphro kid rather than Apollo, it suits him overall far better - he's accepted, and you're good to put him in the character's tab. Thank you very much for agreeing with our alterations!

Any points I have myself have already been issued by my wonderful GM's - if you would like to continue the discussion further, kindly take it to PM. I think we've been very reasonable with you so far, and there's no need to clog up the OOC with further problems on the matter when it can be discussed privately.

Not a weird question at all! For powers, the two main things we aim to avoid are over-powered ones, and ones with the potential to Godmod other characters. Now, over-powered ones are somewhat subjective, because what is over-powered? Basically, all you need to keep in mind is that although your character has Godly blood, they are still half human, and mortal. They're not going to have powers in the same realm as the Gods - at least at the very start of the roleplay.

Because the Gods themselves are so diverse, you can have powers that are totally ineffective in combat or not - it is up to you, we have no real preference over things like that. Obviously if you give a really random one like "Can click their fingers and suddenly everyone's wearing neon jorts" or something, then we'll have a slight issue with it. Basically, make your powers whatever you'd like but make sure they're acceptable to the setting, not over-powered, and not god-modding.

As for your second request, eh... I think we'd have to see what you have in mind first, just to make sure it isn't OP.

I like the suggestion, and I'll definitely incorperate it into Reza!

I just wasn't too sure how far I should have described her powers, since they've played a pretty passive role in her life.

The Trendsetter power would be a social power that could help gather some following or favor or approval should the cause need it. It's like almost like persuasion, or initiating groupthink to those not yet aware of it.

Edit: Also, thought infiltration could be an aspect of it.

I just too realized the Mist was just a PJO thing and now I feel dumb. Anyway, yah I totally understand about the whole Mist thing, and I'm kinda hesitant to change it to Illusion magic. Danielle is supposed to be this great spellcaster, so adding a power that is basically just another form of magic seems wasteful. Then again, I don't have to have 3 powers for my character. Saying she draws power from nature and can cast spells better than the rest seems good enough. But I'll do a bit of revision later and I'll see if I can come up with any good powers. Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to read through my CS!

I'll allow the second one, as long as it clearly states it isn't controlling other people - they may feel the influence, but they have the choice to act on it. Just like any social pressure, be it good or bad - like a trend, as you said. As for infiltration, I think that would factor more into your first power than your second - but as the roleplay progresses and the character's use their powers more, your character may be able to control her power more closely - perhaps even becoming invisible? Your choice, of course!

So, make those tweaks, and she's good to put in the character's tab. :)

It's no problem at all - thank you for being receptive to suggestions! There's no real rush as of now to finish your CS, so don't feel like you need to think of something fast. And just because the maximum is 3, doesn't mean you have to have that amount. :)
