I guess in a way his sudden intellect can work with it. We have a man who couldn't do anything to help further societal growth easily because of his loss of a leg, and he felt worthless because of it. After he was triggered, he gained knowledge that allowed him to create The Eye, which lets him go out into the world and wirelessly change things. So his trigger indirectly allows him to change the world.

In any case, the amnesia helps him forget about things that led to his depression, so that's pretty helpful.

@Banana We;re on the right track, just a few things.

  • Go ahead and remove any mention of his being a Master. Everything described is pure Thinker, he just made the Eye and works it via remote control.
  • How did his family afford a bunker and a farm for him? The history says he grew up in a normal house, so something major had to have happened for them to be able to buy this. I need that covered in greater detail.
  • Eklispe brings up a good point. How does his power act as a "solution" to his trigger?
  • Put all information about The Eye in the equipment portion. We'll need full detailed specs on what it is capable of, including if it can interface with computers, has speakers Overlook talks through, so on and so forth.
  • The limitation listed isn't really a limitation on his power. His Thinker power is a great general intelligence with focus on computers and strategy, right? So there needs to be some sort of limitation to his ability to process that information. A general rule of thumb for most thinkers is that if they have incomplete or incorrect information, they can come to the wrong conclusions. Something like that would be more apt while what you have described is a standard fear and limitation of resources, nothing that is actually related to the power itself.


Those are all the big things that should be addressed here, and once they are, Overlook should be good to go.

That's so much better than Prism's rewrite list.



Sadly, I can't reliably think of a way for his power to act as a solution to his trigger. I apologize.
Changes:
- Make-a-Wish Foundation for buying the bunker.
- Internet for plans on making a farm in the bunker.
- No more Master.
- Eye has a hider in the Equipment Portion.
- He is very prone to second-guessing if his strategy is the most effective at the time.

@Banana At this point, Overlook has reached approvable status, but something needs to be removed. Something big. Something crucial. I'm sorry man, but... *Removes glasses to make direct eye contact* ... This game takes place in 2005. Borderlands hasn't been made. I'm sorry.

@Sophrus Damn skippy it is. The Wards are all filled up but there's a fair amount of room for the local villain gang and independent capes are pretty much always open for spots.

Magic itself is a nono, but they can refer to or call their powers magic. It has to be a specific ability that functions in a mechanicaly specific way, though.

ok, im drawing my ideas from a novel series. in the series its magic but ill give you a rundown-

Death touch (requires physical contact) - Spreads physical corruption such as Necrosis on his victim, this takes a few moments to kill an average human. The spread is slower and takes more effort on Parahumans, and can be totally nullified by high level regeneration abilities.

Raise Dead (30ft range) - Can raise the dead, returning their "soul" to the body and reanimating them, while they maintain a certain level of personality they are still under control. this ability does not work on parahumans at all. Reanimated people do have extremely high durability (as physical damage does very little to a corpse) and strength (muscles fueled by the energy of the reanimator)

Siphon Life (requires physical contact) - uses the latent life energy of a recently dead parahuman to repair the user from psysical damage such as gunshot wounds and broken bones. this also grants him weaker, and temporary access to the deceased parahuman's abilities (3-5 minutes).
((Siphon Life is operating under the assumption that there are many lowish level parahumans as well.))

if this doesnt work i expect i can come up with something else

That's really pushing the line. Parahumans are not exactly super common, but there's enough around that he could make use of that regeneration from serious battles, but not all that often. He'd definitely be classiied as a Striker and Master. It can work, but I'd have to see the final product before making a real judgment. Just know that it's stepping on the line for the purposes of this RP.

You might not even have to replace the siphon with anything else, honestly. Necrosis touch and zombifying corpses in range is pretty nifty. I would be more comfortable with removing the siphon, and you can certain think of a replacement if you want.

Whoever the group as a whole votes in will be the in character decision made by the PRT director. So you can vote which Ward you'd want to be leader here or throw it at me in skype, or whatevs.

goddammit now I gotta put another game in the likes tab. We'll have it be Morrowind instead.

Edit: If you don't mind me asking, where should I start when this whole shindig kicks off? I don't mind having Overlook be accompanying the members of the Wards and acting as a bit of a supervisor over them.
