Jack is a British-American man that was originally born in New York City. Heโ€™s the shortest person in his family with his 5โ€™5 height and he can be often mistaken as a teenager. Despite his small height, he only weighs around 136.3 lb. Thatโ€™s because he would often go on a run each morning and go to the gym, if he isnโ€™t working on his job. He got his motherโ€™s hazel eyes and his fatherโ€™s black hair.

Often enough, he would most wear dark color clothes. He doesnโ€™t go anywhere without his jacket no matter the weather. He also takes his beanie with him as well. He only wears jeans and casual t-shirts to places besides work. At work, he wears the white collared t-shirt with the dress pants and shoes. And he also has to wear the storeโ€™s dark blue apron. Jack doesnโ€™t like the work outfit, but he only has to wear it on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Jack is an interesting person to hang out with, even if he denies it. He would spend time worrying about the smallest thing, even if it isn't that big of a deal. Many would think that he has some sort of OCD, but he doesn't. It's just apart of him that he had since he was a child. His few friends love him for his charm and humor. Jack can lift someone's spirits up in the matter of seconds. He cares for others that are in pain, but he knows the limits. Reality is apart of him and he think things that are harsh to others. His brother hated that about Jack while he was living with him.

Work in Progress.

Jack Elliott was born and raised in Baltham with his other brother, Ivan. His mother worked at the Sweet Bay Hotel and his father was busy getting his masters in the University of Washington. They weren't the richest people in town, but they have been here for a long time. His mother worked at the hotel for several years since it's opening and his father had been attending the local community college. He was accepted into the university. His father wasn't around for only two years of his life and that was because of the university.

After graduating, he spent more time with his two sons for years before he had to work again. He became a war correspondent for the Washington Post. Jack knew that he also wanted to become a journalist as well and started to write 'stories' on his everyday life. When he was thirteen years old, his father went to the Middle East to cover the Invasion of Iraq. He was mistaken by U.S. forces as a threat and opened fire at him, killing him in seconds. His wife was upset by the death of her husband. Ivan and Jack were also upset by their father's death as well.

She claimed that her husband's death was unjustified, but she couldn't do anything about it. Jack kept pursuing his dreams of becoming a journalist. He graduated for high school at the age of seventeen and attended the University of Washington. Ivan couldn't stand living in the same town and moved to California with his lover. His mother died of natural causes, but Jack said that she still had a broken heart about her husband's death. Regardless, he did his four years required in order to become a journalist and graduate as well.

During that time, he met with a tattoo artist during his twenty-first birthday. Valerie Alvez was a hard person to read at first, but she became a good friend to Jack. He worked with the Washington Post for six years before leaving them and becoming freelance. Now, he often works at a local store as a clerk and does his freelance journalist stuff often enough. Since he found out that Valerie was a freelance writer, they often worked together on interesting stories.

Emily stands at approximately 5'10" and weighs in at 152lbs with a slim body and the, ever-so-slight, bit of muscle. She's a natural ginger. Her hair sits in waves, varying in how 'loose' they are depending on the weather and when she brushed or washed her hair last, and it, generally, reaches bra strap length. She has deep chocolate brown eyes that seem to almost always sparkle with either a suggestive glance or the look of triumph if she's just dished an insult, sarcastic reply or something of the likes. Her soft lips are often sporting a smirk and she has a small scar on the peak of her left cheekbone.

It's hard to find Emily not sporting scratches or cut or bruises from some of her latest... activities. Her hands are most commonly marked with some minor wound she definitely won't get checked out. In total she has 5 piercings, 2 on each of her earlobes and a navel piercing and a tattoo on the back of her left shoulder. Her clothing style changes depending on her mood or the weather but, if whether is warm enough, a lot of her choices may be thought inappropriate by some people

๐Ž๐œ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง
Emily can't hold a job. She takes part time work, usually for minimum wage, from little local places who are somehow out of the loop about her or pity her but she's usually fired quickly. Her parents have cut off her card to their account but Emily had collected a bit of a some from it over time, however, she often crashes at Cleo's hence not needing to pay rent.

๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ
Emily is definitely not the best of people, nor does she pretend or try to be. She is wild, rebellious and careless. Not for a day has she taken life seriously and doubts she ever will. She does what pleases and entertains her, no matter how reckless it is. Emily has no filter between her mind and her mouth nor between her mind and her actions. She speaks and acts without considering the consequences for herself or anyone else and tends to wear those consequences like a badge. She is a master liar and will tell as many lies as possible to get out of a bad situation or being caught. She will say or do anything to get her will or her way. She's not afraid to use another's confidences against then.

Emily is very much an extrovert and often the life of the party. She will push her friends into uncomfortable situations for fun. She's fun-loving and does possess a heart for her friends, though she might not always show it. She'll happily take the blame for people she's close too, but would prefer assisting them lie their way out of punishment. Emily is open about who she is, she will be the first to tell you she's a bitch and often proclaims she's a whore. She wears her worst traits as her crown and armour.

๐๐š๐œ๐ค๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐
Emily is the only child of a CEO of a large accounting firm and his unemployed life. The money Michael earned paid enough for the family of three to live a rather luxurious life and Emily hadn't known a life without such a lifestyle until the last year. Between many business trips and the demanding work hours Emily saw much less of her father than her mother and her and her mother did not get along. The older, and rowdier, she got the more they would fight. As she got older her mother made it obviously her daughter had become a lost cause leaving her with little guidance yet still tried to control her life. This may have been a driving force in her current attitude.

From her early teens/late preteens Emily had a pretty bad reputation among people. She was always misbehaving and arrogant. The only notice she took to rules was how to break them. She was often in trouble for graffiting, defacing properties and disturbing public peace.

With both of her parents practically out of the picture Emily had one person to turn to, her neighbour~ Cleo. She met Cleo when the woman moved into a house neighbouring the Waring's. Being the curious nine year old Emily was she started talking to the woman through the fence and, over time, Cleo came to be like the mother Emily never had. Not that Emily would really follow her advice most of the time, but she does consider herself better then she would be without Cleo.

Emily was 15 when she snuck out to a party for rhe first time, of course it wasn't her first rebellious or misbehaving act. Leading up she had done some smaller rule-breakung actions and lied more than a few times (a couple being where she was) but this was the big one. She found to fit in perfectly and it was there she had her first try of alcohol and intimacy to a new degree. Since then the sneaking of to parties has become more common despite her mother still trying to run her daughter's life until she was 18. Coming home, proudly, with a new tattoo was the final straw as ber mother kicked her out and cut of any connection she had with her.

Artyom's physical condition is currently in peak form - that is to say, he's at the age that is for men typically described as being the top of their game. It shows in how he looks. His face is still soft, with only some wrinkles on his forehead from frequent frowning - the rest is clear of any irregularities, bar some small birthmarks and dots on his face. He has no scars - none visible at least, as there is a small cross-shaped one on his chin which is hidden by a beard - and boasts a good looking, healthy skin.

His eyes are relatively small compared to some of the Western people, as he is ethnically Russian, and thus lacks the characteristical large eyes. Although they are already small, his eyebrows do not do his eyes any favor as they are relatively low and typically furrowed over his eyes, making his eyes look smaller, and making him himself look more angry and/or serious than he actually is.

His hair is a dark brown, with a few loose gray hairs in his beard. Both his hair and beard are well kept and commonly groomed. The gray hairs are found mostly in the hairs just below his lower lip, with some on either side of the mustache too. Bad genetics are to blame, since Artyom is not that old yet.

Physique wise, he's about average-slightly above average. He's not that muscled, compared to some of those that lift weights. But he lives a healthy lifestyle comparatively, and gets enough movement. His strength primarily comes from his back, shoulders and upper arms, where some definition in the muscles can be seen during a movement that flexes these muscles. Other than that, his chest, stomach, legs and other muscled areas are about average. No bodybuilder, at any rate.

Height: 6'2"/1.89m

๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ
Artyom has a typically Russian-immigrant attitude towards work. He's a hard worker, doesn't grumble when he needs to do manual labor, but in general just gets the job done. This shines through in most of his everyday activities, as he isn't one to sit around for too long and rather just gets started with work early so he can get it done early. In that aspect, time is important to him, and he will work hard and quick to get things done in time.

Essentially, if you need something done, Artyom is the one you ask. Especially if it's hard, back-breaking work that nobody else really wants to do. Someone has to do it. Artyom just expects to get something in return for doing it.

As such, he isn't some naรฏve person who will do anything for someone else just out of the kindness of his heart. That is not who he is at all, and his motto is quad pro quo. He might help you without expecting something in return for the first one, maybe two times, but after that he will expect you to either fend for yourself, or to repay him somehow. In that way he's not exactly a team player by being a selfless person - instead being more of a person that takes care of himself. But make no mistake - just because he has a brain and realizes when he is being used, doesn't mean he doesn't have a heart. His quad pro quo attitude only goes for strangers or people he doesn't exactly consider 'friends'.

A sharp contrast perhaps, but when it comes to his friends, he is very loyal and will do whatever it takes to keep them around. He is quite sacrificial when it comes down to that, willing to take a knife in the side, or a bullet to the chest for those whom he considers close to himself.

If there was ever a more fitting stereotype than the Russian that raises the red flag to rush towards the enemy to buy his comrades time to escape, then perhaps Artyom is a fitting face for that Russian. But you'll need to gain his favor before he'd even consider that for you.

๐๐š๐œ๐ค๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐
Artyom was born in Nizjni Novgorod, in the Wolga oblast in the Russian Federation. He grew up there in the early years of his life until his father found employment in Vladivostok in the far East. It was a far move, and being 8 when it happened, Artyom abandoned a lot of friends for his fathers new employment. To a young child this was not worth the loss of friends, but ultimately now that he is an adult, he can understand why his father moved there. After all they did have a nicer apartment, more money, and generally just a better life. And new friends could be made easily, right?

His father worked on an oil rig off the coast of Eastern Russia and so he was gone from home a lot. So, Artyom grew up with his mother and his three sisters, being the man of the house at an age that many would consider too young. Though it was merely a joke at first, later in his life this title became more and more true. At the age of fourteen he started working part-time at a local butcher to earn some extra money for himself.

His sister Dunya, who was three years older than Artyom, and she moved to the United States when Artyom was 16. She had found a suitable husband through an online service, who lived in a place called 'Washington DC'. Although Artyom was sad to see her leave, it did him good to know that his sister was going to live a better live in the USA with a husband that could provide for her. Little did he know that the service was more or less a subtle, legal form of human trafficking.

His other sister, Gavriila, became a teacher at a primary school. This was when Artyom was 21, and had begun working at a dock - similar to the work he'd later do in the USA. It did not take long for Gavriila to meet a teacher that she liked, and then she got married to him.

It was another one of his sisters that left the house, leaving only the youngest, Katia, 16 years old. She was still enrolled in a high school for musically gifted children, which was afforded only because of their fathers' work on an oil rig, and subsidies from the Russian government that incentivized schooling for those children with exceptional talent in one department.

As Artyom reached the age of 23, his sister told him to come to Washington DC, telling him that there was plenty of work for people that did not mind to work hard. As she told him of the glamorous life she was living now, it was hard for Artyom to decline. Katia had graduated from school now and had begun a university level education in music, so it was impossible for Artyom to go to the USA, not with his mother being left behind.

For two years he still took care of her before his father retired and took up a job at the local docks, working as a manager. With father now being back home to take care of mother, Artyom arranged to fly out to Washington DC to work there.

Life was not as glamorous as his sister had told him - though, that might've been because Artyom was not a good-looking woman that wanted to marry an American man. Rather, he was a poor Russian that spoke little English, and had no university or college degree. After a year of living off of his savings, he finally managed to get a job at the docks, which was where he'd been working ever since.

In due time he moved into a new apartment in Baltham, which wasn't too bad. His wages could barely afford it, but he had to live somewhere and due to the rising prices of apartments in both Bainbridge Island and Baltham due to the rising affluence in the area, there was little choice - either he gave up his job and moved elsewhere, or he made due with what he had. It seemed an easy choice for a Russian immigrant that was used to living in near-poverty. The only time when he ate well was when he landed a free-lance photography gig, which happened from time to time. His favorites were weddings.

They let him take some of the food, most of the time.

At least his English had improved in an almost stellar fashion. He was fluent now, but his accent remained.

Physical Description

Valerie stands at 5'7 with an athletic but slim figure, making it apparent that she takes proper care of herself by getting enough exercise. She has long legs, light olive skin, and a narrow facial structure. Her brown hair stumbles down her shoulders in messy waves, and the color of her eyes are hazel green, framed by her long and thick lashes. Her jawline and cheekbones are defined, making her look sultry yet stern.

Valerie likes to keep it simple. She will choose to dress for comfort rather than follow the fashion trends of today. She likes to wear warm sweaters paired with skinny jeans and boots; she dislikes showing too much skin. She has multiple piercings in her right ear and an owl tattoo on her back.

Occupation

tattoo artist โ€ข freelance writer

Personality

|| Strong and reliable ||

Valerie is a tough and independent woman. Other than her strong demeanor, her wit is what makes her notably attractive. It doesn't matter if she fails at something, she will just shrug it off and come up with new ways to get it done. With that said, she is very determined and also very dedicated to her craft.

She can be somewhat of a tomboy, in that she doesn't buy into the usual expectations held for young women; she scoffs at any sign of drama, doesn't seem to get on too well with other girls, and holds her own against her male counterparts.

Valerie is a hard person to read; she is a closed book. Secretive. It doesn't matter if you've known each other for awhile, you'll have to figure her out yourself, which isn't exactly easy. At times, she is shown to be honest with a good heart but on the other hand, with only a small amount of remorse, is willing to manipulate someone to achieve her ends. Although her morals are somewhat questionable, every action she has taken up to now really all boils down to just one desire;
the desire to survive.

Background

Valeria was born in Australia and has never met her biological father. She and her family moved to Central America after her mother remarried. Her father was a retired military soldier; he was tough, strict, and temperamental. She was not brought up like a normal girl, instead, she was taught how to defend herself and how to hold a gun. When her father had lost his job as a construction manager, his drinking habits grew worse. He would come home drunk and had begun to show signs of abuse. It started off with just words, and eventually became physical.

When the physical abuse got worse, her and her mother left home and moved into a small run-down apartment. She was only 9 years old. Her mother got a job as a waitress and Valerie tried to help by selling in the streets. She would sell flowers, candies, and cookies that she would bake herself. Eventually, her mother got sick and had to stop working; at 13, Valerie had to come up with more ways to earn money and survive. She worked as a shoeshiner, asked the neighbors if she could clean their house for a fee, and even sold some of her artworks.

Three years later, her mother had died--but she did not cry. Instead, she continued her daily routine of working and selling anything she could. Valerie, always capable, would probably work during a nuclear holocaust. She found her passion in drawing and continued to sell some of her artworks in the streets. Despite the hardships she went through, she kept going.

Another year later, a man discovered her talent and told her she had potential. He offered her a job at his tattoo parlor, which she gratefully accepted. She would design tattoos and at the same time, learn how to tattoo by watching him. He became her father figure. For her 18th birthday, he gave Valerie her own set of tools. She practiced and learned the art of tattooing. By the age of 20, she bid him farewell and moved to Balthama, Washington, aspiring to become a successful tattoo artist herself.

To this day, she strives to work hard and succeed. She runs a small tattoo parlor in Balthama and sometimes writes articles for newspapers and magazines.

Katie is a small girl who stands at five feet and four inches tall and carries around One-Hundred-and-Ten pounds of weight. She has long, chocolate brown or hazel brown hair that reaches down and past her shoulder blades by a couple of inches. She has chocolate brown eyes, high cheekbones and nice white teeth hidden behind soft pink lips.

Katie has Puerto-Rican descent despite being from England. She goes to the gym regularly and so managed to stay in shape pretty well most of her life. She tends to dress in much more casual clothes, rarely is she seen in anything too fancy or smart.

๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ
Katie is rather laid back. She tries too keep from most conflicts and hates too see splinters start too form between people she knows, but would rather sit back and relax than get involved in the fights and arguments. She doesn't hold much of a sharp posture, and seems too not care less about the risks of most things she does, which could be seen as either a great thing or a not so great thing. Katie secretly feels very lonely. Sure, she had friends, but they weren't people she could really get on with or connect with. They were people for her to go out and cause trouble with. Sure, she cared for them, and they cared for her, but they all knew that it wasn't going to last. She grew up lonely, causing trouble and searching for connections to fill the gaps. This sometimes causes her to get too involved into new friendships, and why she hates being alone, which ties in with her always wanting to be out and partying. Although she would hate too admit it,

Katie is sensitive. She cares what people think, much more than you would guess if you had been around her for ten minutes. She hates being judged for who she is, where she's from or how she acts which is why she may seem either more reserved around new people (but this wont last too long), or try too seem more intimidating. However, the latter rarely works. Katie is a victim of having an addictive personality. Once she tries something once and enjoys it, she will usually go out of her way too keep that thing in her life. Not even Katie knows if this is just her natural shitty personality, or if its a way too keep her happy and hide what lies deep below, buried below the nights out, parties, drugs and cigarettes.

๐๐š๐œ๐ค๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐
Katie grew up in East London on a council estate nicknamed 'Concrete city' because there wasn't a single brick house, just lots of tall concrete flats piled on top of each other. She moved here at the age of three, because her dad lost his job and both of her mothers part time jobs weren't paying enough to keep up with the bills of her much desired old suburban home. Concrete city was a mess, full of gangs, violence, drugs and alcohol and all of the things that you don't want your kids to be brought up around. Her parents were well aware, and tried as hard as they could too keep her away from all of it, and for her first eight years in the estate it worked.

She finished Primary school at Eleven, and started Secondary school after summer. This is when things seemed to quickly change for her. Katie got involved with the 'popular' crowd. The troublemakers. First off it was nothing bad. She was just going out a little more. Then her grades started falling. She started staying out later, despite her parents wishes. Phone calls home from school became commonplace, because she was either there and misbehaving, or she wasn't there at all. Things carried on like this for the next couple of years, not getting worse, but not getting better.

Her and her friends started hanging out with the older girls on the estate by the time they were thirteen. She discovered alcohol and parties and wondered how on earth this had been missing from her life before. She saw the older girls smoking, and she wanted to be like them, so at the age of thirteen she picked up her first cigarette. At the age of fourteen she smoked weed for the first time. At fifteen she got an older boyfriend, and started going to even better, wilder parties.

She barely passed her GCSE's at sixteen, graduating secondary school with a pass in maths, english, music and drama. Everything else was failed. A month after she got her results, her father got a job offer from a company in America. Her parents saw this as a new start for their troubled daughter, and took the job straight away. But this was a new start that she didn't want. She moved too this new place, and instead of starting again, quitting the drugs, alcohol and fags, she just made new friends and did it with them.

Five months before her Eighteenth, Katie passed out at a party. She got Alcohol poisoning (among other things), went to hospital, had her stomach pumped and was horribly ill for a week after. After this, she decided that enough was enough, and tried her hardest to stop her self-destructive lifestyle. Although she still goes too parties now and then, she tries her hardest too keep her alcohol usage low. She still smokes, cigarettes and marijuana, but has effectively managed to cut out all other drugs from her life.

Standing at five feet five inches Ashley is of average height, and her skin is close to copy paper in color due to her extended presence in clubs or bars. Ashley's hair is quite short and is black in color. The roots of Ashley's hair are dark brown, though you could only see them if you looked really hard due to the fact that Ashley recently got it dyed. Ashley's eyes are a dark green in color and are thankfully free of any fashion contacts or other oddities. Ashley's eyebrows are rough, but not excessive. They've been dyed black too, to match her hair. Ashley's face is overall free of blemishes, which Ashley is immensely thankful for.

Ashley's body is fairly well rounded. Her upper and lower body is well developed and fit. She's not boasting bulging muscles or a six pack, but she's more than qualified for extended physical activity. Ashley doesn't have much in the way of marks on the rest of her body either, which she is again more than thankful for. Ashley's nails are trimmed down, and have also been painted black to fit with her overall punk look. Ashley's most prominent feature is actually a prominent DD cup bust, which her mother frequently joked about being envious to, much to Ashley's embarrassment.

Ashley's wardrobe fits well with her punk theme. Ashley wears a small black leather collar. Hanging from the front of this collar is a small silver heart pendant. The clasp for this collar is also silver, and rests on her spine. Ashley wears a plain black T-shirt along with a light black cloth jacket. Ashley also wears a pair of black jeans. Beneath these jeans Ashley wears a pair of knee length nylon stockings and a pair of calf length black leather boots.

Ashley also wears a pair of fingerless leather gloves. These gloves have small metal studs over each knuckle, though they're obviously not weaponized. However, that doesn't prevent them from hurting a little more than usual should someone suffer a blow from Ashley. Ashley also wears a black one piece swimsuit in place of traditional undergarments, since some more unruly members of the audience would sometimes find themselves throwing their drinks at the stage, leaving Ashley and her band members varying degrees of wet from time to time. The swimsuit helped prevent people from seeing more than they needed to.

Ashley got into singing at a young age, and quickly found herself the star of the class on several occasions. As Ashley grew up and began to experience other types of music, she found herself liking rock more and more. Getting a group of friends together into a band, Ashley would frequently play cover songs at nightclubs and raves, often leaving her exhausted during the daytime. Everyone in their band wanted to go big, but since they couldn't get anyone to sponsor their homebrew content, Ashley was stuck playing covers for what seemed like the rest of her musical days. That is, until the infection hit.

Ashley has an independent personality. When Ashley needs to have something done, she usually goes and does it. This can sometimes get her into trouble when Ashley takes on tasks that are simply too big for one person to handle. Thanks to her dad, Ashley has a wealth of military knowledge on hand, and can sometimes be overbearing when wanting to do it "The proper way" when a quick fix is all that's needed. This can also doubly screw Ashley over since sometimes her "quick fixes" (ex. Percussive maintenance.) don't work the way she plans on it working and the situation is made worse.

Ashley can be rather abrasive at times, especially when she feels like people are griping about something that really shouldn't be fussed over. This can definitely hurt her relationships with other people, since they might not share the same social views that she does. Though Ashley does have a caring side, she's merely bad at showing that one first.

๐๐š๐œ๐ค๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐

Ashley grew up alone, being an only child did have it's perks, though each perk had a downside. Ashley's father left soon after she was born, saying that his family had a tradition of military service. Ashley's mother didn't really believe this, but she didn't complain about the money that he brought in. They moved around a lot during that time, and Ashley grew up reading his field manuals and other books he brought home. This got her some experience with surviving and the handling of firearms, though nothing serious. Merely the basic rules and operations of firearms (Don't point it at anyone, keep your finger off the trigger, pull the slide back to chamber a round, etc.) and the basic rules of survival. (Drink from fast moving rivers, cook anything thoroughly, boil plants, etc.)

After Ashley's father retired from the military, he got a job in Baltham working at a automobile maintenance shop and the family was finally able to settle down. Ashley was sixteen at the time, and had discovered her love of punk. Baltham was eager to supply clubs to sing at, and Ashley's life began to take it's own path. It's been several years, and Ashley has moved into a small house on her own, away from her parents. Ashley had just gotten home after a gig when the world began to end, and her life was changed forever.

((I PM'd this to Spectre beforehand, just encase anyone freaks out.))

Standing five feet, seven inches tall, Cleo weighs one-hundred thirty-two pounds, giving her a slightly curvy, petite figure. Her light golden-brown hair falls down right below her shoulders in light waves. It can sometimes be seen straightened or pulled back into a ponytail. Looking upon the woman's square shaped face, you will find defined cheekbones, dark green eyes, a small, triangular nose and thin lips. Her long legs have a slight undertone of muscle, her arms the same. These features have been said to give her a 'natural beauty' look.

Cleo wears pale colors most of the time. Her favorite tops are a simple t-shirt or sweater, for bottoms, she wears jeans. Make-up is a trivial thing for the woman, only ever wearing mascara and eyeliner. One thing that she never goes anywhere without is her cresent moon necklace that she had had since she was little girl. Growing up on a farm, Cleo has a few scars from her child-hood shenanigans. One is on her right upper arm, from where she fell out of a tree at the age of ten, approximately five inches long, running vertically. Another on the inside of her left ankle, from a broken glass in the barn that she acquired at the age of fifteen.

Resourceful || To Kind || Intelligent || Stubborn || Conversationalist

Cleo is a kind woman, said to have a motherly demeanor. She likes to look after others and believes that she knows best when it comes to most things. However, on occasion, she can be to kind, doing her best to see the best in who she wants, causing her to trust more than she should in certain situations. She is a realist, calling things and people like she see's them. If you look like crap, she'll tell you. If she thinks you're going to be great at something, she'll tell you. Cleo always worked hard in school, graduating with only one C her whole school career. Being more or less a momma bear, one of her weaknesses is the people that she cares about. Hands down, she would die for these people, which brings us to another weakness: being to damned loyal. Cleo is loyal downright loyal to the people she cares about, always trying to do what is best for them. If you call her at two in the morning, she's there. If someone hurts you, she's hurting them. Put her threw hell, she'll be there until she absolutely can't stand you anymore.

The woman is good for conversation, making small talk, though she loves to go more in depth with her conversation. Perhaps this comes from being a bartender, along with her ability to 'read' people. Despite trying to keep her emotions in check, Cleo is an open book, her face never lying about how she feels. She can tell you that she approves of your actions, while her face has a look of disgust. She is very easy to embarrass, almost always blushing on these occasions.Erika is a friendly young woman with a fierce Cleo is outgoing and loves meeting new people, but has no claims about sticking up for herself, the things she believes in, or people that she cares for. Despite being outgoing, it usually takes a little while for her to warm up to people, so she can at times appear shy or disinterested. She's extremely stubborn and has shown tendencies at being recklessly brave at times as well.

Cleo Alexandra James was born in Texas on October twenty-first to a farmer, Keith, and his school teacher of a wife, Marian. She was the second child born to the couple, her brother Lane being her elder by five years. Cleo grew up as a bare-foot child, running through the fields, learning the way things worked on the farm and doing little chores like feeding the chickens and watering the horses. It wasnโ€™t until around age eight that she started getting the bigger jobs such as helping her father plant the crops and harvest them. Celoโ€™s family has always been close. Some of the woman's best memories is going to her family members houseโ€™s for Sunday dinner. The children would run around playing in the yard, the women cooking and gossiping, then men playing horse-shoes.

Cleo was always a tom-boy of sorts. She would rather be barefoot than anything, she loved to roll around in the mud, but her mother insisted on her having lady-like attributes. Cleo and her brother were expected to wake up in the early hours of the morning, milk the cows, muck the stalls, etc. for their chores. Afterwards, Cleo would sit at the dining table, her mother telling her to keep her elbows off the table, allowing her to fix her hair a certain way, and telling her to wear skirts and dresses. This mainly started at the age of seven, lasting until the age of fifteen when Cleo put her foot down. No more would she be told how to act properly. Keithโ€™s main influence on the girl was telling her and her brother: โ€œWork hard and you wonโ€™t have to spend your daysโ€™ in the fieldsโ€™ like old pop.โ€ However, Cleo didnโ€™t mind getting her hands dirty and the chores. After all, it was something she believed in. Fatherโ€™s work brought in money, just like motherโ€™s teaching. Sure, it was hard, but her father was a good man, and everyone in town could testify to the fact. Perhaps always wanting the best for his children was why โ€œWork hardโ€ was his most used phrase.

Cleo graduated as second in her class high-school class, going to the local college. Her parents were mad at her for this. With her grades, they said, she could get into just about any college that she wanted. But Cleo didnโ€™t want that. She found comfort in more simple things, and always planned on staying home. Finally giving into her parents wishes, she decided to move to Baltham at the age of twenty-six. Here, she quickly made her a new home. Temporarily working as a waitress in a local cafe, she met Brad, a man that she fell in love with over simple conversation through the course of three months when he came in for his usual breakfast every morning. It was at the end of those three months that Brad asked Cleo on a date, and she gladly accepted. The two married a year later, and it was at this time, Cleo moved in with the man, right beside the Warings. It was at the age of twenty-nine that she lost her husband in a fatal car crash. Through the grief, Cleo lost her job. Three months later, she was hired as the local bartender downtown.

Walking outside to get the morning paper was the first time that Cleo can recall actually speaking to Emily Waring, a little girl who she treated as her own, unable to have any with Brad. The child seemed to have no actual authority figures in her life, so, Cleo acted as one for her. When Emily who she insists upon calling Em, was old enough to put down an emergency contact for herself, it was Cleo, and she was the one that got called when Cleo got arrested for the first time. Giving the girl scoldings when she came in drunk over the years seemed to do no good, but deep down, Cleo could tell that she was doing some good.
