I can Krak and Melta anything with heavy armor to leave them vulnerable to Khaz. Just get us safely into position and we can purge these depth-preceptionless fish-heads >:). Let's hope that Bertie's Chimera can hold up against plasma fire.

Also, got a post up for before the deployment. I figured I'll wait for Agentmanatee's post about how our new squad and Chimera is before I write about the deployment just to make sure everything's coherent.

Right, according to what you've all told me, none of you should actually know who/what the Tau are or indeed what you'll be facing, as such I am expecting some shock...some awe...some fear...all the good stuff that comes with an unexpected and unknown enemy; the most you may know about them are tales from a friend-of-a-friend or a couple of pages in the Uplifting Primer more-or-less explaining how weak they are, how their Greater Good is heretical, and how the galaxy belongs to Man alone. There's unlikely to be much on specifics, the Ministorum and Commissariat don't want to spook their soldiers too much.

Secondly, no meta-gaming!

By this I mean keep your personal info and the info your character would know seperate; I don't want anyone character suddenly going "oh yea, that's a such and such Crisis suit, I know this because...reasons."

These are, as far as you lot are concerned, something you haven't come across before.

Hope that's understood.

Also...how do you know it's Tau anyway? We might just happen to be on the Eastern Fringe fighting Necrons!

Pretty much this, but that's why I said you'd know general stuff from the Primer, as well as propoganda and so forth - nothing all that useful, really. Sure though, if you want to actually read it, then Damocles Edition is fine.

@Jbcool Understood. I'm just saying that Marcus will most likely equate Tau armor and Crisis Suits with the heavy armor worn by Orks and better-equipped Chaos cultists, so... Kraks and Meltas whenever necessary . Other than that, he's going to find a new love for tight enclosed spaces since they will keep him relatively safe from the plasma storm from the Fire Warriors, and a new fear for open battlefields with no trenches
