[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

The scent was lost. Jenny thanked the heroes for their help and took them to the Pokémon Center. Liam handed over his Luxury Balls for healing to a Chancey. There was a tall man, who had his own Chancey talking to Joy about how effective they could be together healing Pokémon, and how she could heal his heart of the status condition of loneliness. A Crogunk emerged from its ball on the man's belt and smacked him in the spine with Poison Jab. It than dragged him away by the belt loop.

Neko goes into route 2 to train his Pokemon. A Nidoran (f) appears, Koneko butts in "This isn't your fight, Neko." She told him. "I'm catching that."

Neko saddened, looks for more Pokemon to fight, a Rattata attacks his Bulbasaur. "Huh?" Neko said. "Bulbasaur use tackle!" The bulbasaur attacked back with a tackle. The Rattata tackles Bulbasaur. "Repeat the attack" It was a tackle battle. Neko throws a Pokeball. The ball rolls thrice and clicks. "Yes! My first capture!"

"And it took you that long..." Koneko said teasingly, she had captured the Nidoran in half the time.

The man recovered and began to talk to Jenny, particularly about how she can place his heart under arrest. Crogunk reappeared and used Poison Jab and dragged him away. The Chancey that was standing with him before had an embarssed look on her face. Liam asked what was with him.
"Oh, that's Brock." Jenny explained. "He lives here in town, and he's studying to be a Pokémon Doctor. His parents, as well as his little brother operate the town's gym."

A vine appeared from Bulbasaur's bulb as it attacked a caterpie. "What?" Neko said confused "Did it just learn vine whip?"

"Bulbasaur use vine whip!" With that, Bulbasaur swiftly whipped the caterpie with the vine. The caterpie looking like it's about to faint. Neko threw a pokeball and captured it. "Yes!"

"I now have three Pokemon, Bulbasaur, Rattata, and Caterpie. It's looking good for me."

Liam mentioned that he wanted to go register for the contest.

The twins walk back to the centre where Liam and the others were at. Getting his Pokemon healed up. "What type did you say the gym of this city was?" Neko questioned to Liam, hoping it was something weak to grass.

"They are three gym leaders." Liam explained. "Flint uses rock types, his wife Lola uses water types, and their second born Forrest uses a mix of rock and steel types. Since you have no badges, I believe Flint will be the easiest one to face."

[NekoMizu]

"Rock type is weak to grass, right?"

[James Davy]

Shiranui had his Pokémon healed while Neko questioned Liam about the gym. He had registered for the contest as well.

"Rock type is weak to grass, right?"

"Yup, they are also weak to water, ground and steel." Liam explained.

"Mind you, they are strong against Fire, Bug, Flying and Ice-type Pokémon," Shiranui added.

[NekoMizu]

"All right! This should be easy then, Bulbasaur just learnt Vine Whip" With that he storms off to face the gym.

[James Davy]

"Should I have mentioned that matching types doesn't win every battle?" Shiranui asked Liam.

"Yeah, we probably should have." Liam said. "Since we have time until the contest, why don't we go watch?"

[James Davy]

"Sounds good to me," replied Shiranui.

The duo went to the gym, Liam hoped to catch Neko before he began the battle to let him know type doesn't mean everything.

[NekoMizu]

"Flint?" Neko calls out as he opens the door to the gym. "Ah, are you Flint?"

A man that looked an awful lot like the guy being abused by his Pokemon in the centre sit there on the opposite side of the gym. "Welcome. Indeed I am. How many badges do you have?"

"Uh, none." Neko answered, settling inside. "This'll be my first gym match!"

Flint laughs. "All right, I'll be using two Pokemon."

"Okay, go Geodude!" Flint said, throwing a pokeball, sending out a Geodude.

"I choose you, Bulbasaur!" Neko sends out Bulbasaur. "Vine Whip"

Bulbasaur whips the opposing Geodude, fainting it.

"Yes! This'll be easy!" Neko cheered.

"Onix!" Flint threw his final Pokemon. "Bind!"

Onix wraps itself around Bulbasaur tight.

"What? Bulbasaur use Leech seed" But it couldn't attack.

Shiranui arrived at the gym in time to see Neko's Bulbasaur take out a Geodude. He cringed when Onix used Bind. "That's gotta hurt," he remarked.

"It looks like Flint's Onix has prepped itself to be ready against that strategy." Liam noted.

[NekoMizu]

"Come back, Bulbasaur!" He sends Bulbasaur back, half health. "Rattata!"

Rattata was trapped in the bind in Bulbasaur's place. "What the heck!"
