[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

The Water Pulse hit and Sapphire was down for the count as the Trick Room faded. "Sapphire return; Hoshi, I choose you!" Shiranui switched out his fallen Sableye and sent his Starmie out.

"Hoshi, start with Double Team!" Multiple Starmie duplicates appeared, trying to reduce Zenni's probability of scoring a hit.

[Azure Flame]

"Foresight into Dark Pulse!" Chuck called out. Zenni detected the Starmie and fired off a pulse of dark energy, boosted by it's ability, able to score a direct hit despite the Double Team, thanks to using Foresight.

"Counter with Reflect Type!" Facing a Dark Pulse, Hoshi copied Zenni's typing, removing its Psychic type. The counter-strategy didn't help as Zenni scored a critical hit and Hoshi was knocked out. "Hoshi, have a good rest," said Shiranui, recalling his Starmie, "You leave me no other choice. Saisei, I choose you!" Shiranui readied a Master Ball and sent out the legendary Mewtwo.

"Woah, definitely not pulling any punches, I see." Chuck said, noting the Legendary he was now facing. "Good, I wouldn't have it any other way! Dark Pulse!" Zenni fired another blast of dark energy.

"Saisei, Light Screen! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated his Mega Ring and Saisei glowed with the energy of Mega Evolution. The Mewtwo shrunk in size and the glow disappeared to reveal a Mega Mewtwo Y that had a smile on its face.
"Such unwavering determination," Saisei commented as the Mewtwo conjured a barrier that reduced the damage of Zenni's attack just before it hit, "This will be fun." Thanks to the Light Screen, the damage was low for a super effective hit.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

Mike and Sashia Rotomdex both lit up at the sight of this legendary pokemon that suddenly appeared. "oh wow" The two of them said as they started taking pictures of the Mewtwo and its mega form before returning to their trainers to avoid any stray attacks that could hit them. Mike had to chuckle as the dexs determination to take picture of every rare Pokémon.

"Take pictures to your hearts' content, you two," said Saisei, addressing the Rotomdexes, "None of your databases will have any information about me."

[Azure Flame]

"Zenni, get in close and use Bite!" Chuck said. The Mega Blastoise rushed toward the Mega Mewtwo and aimed to bite it.

"Saisei, use Thunder!" Saisei used its psychic powers to try and strike the charging Zenni with lightning.

Zenni got hit and took massive damage, but still continued it's attack, following up with an Aqua Tail.

Both attacks hit. "Saisei, Recover!" The Mega Mewtwo Y recovered most of the damage it suffered.

"While it's healing, use Hydro Cannon!" Chuck said. The Mega Blastoise channeled it's energy into the massive cannon on it's back and fired a giant blast of water from it, however it left him immobile for a bit.

Saisei was blasted, but thanks to the active Light Screen, the Mega Mewtwo Y only suffered minor damage. "Thank you for cooling me down, Zenni," the Mega Mewtwo Y quipped.
"Saisei, Laser Focus while Zenni is recharging and follow it up with Psychic!" While Zenni was immobile, Saisei concentrated his aim at the Blastoise's weak spot with laser-like precision. After a while, Saisei's eyes glowed a bright turquoise as it unleashed its psychic power.

Zenni got blasted back and fell down. He slowly got to his feet and went to attack, but fell over once more, knocked out and reverting back to it's base form. Chuck recalled him and fell to his knees, defeated.

"That was a close match." Liam said to Prof. Oak.
"Come on lad, we'll meet them at the Pokémon Center." He responded. With that the two got out of their seats and proceded to the Center.

Shiranui remained Champion and Chuck took his Pokémon to the Center to heal up and rest. He wasn't surprised he lost, as he had gone up against a Legend such as Mewtwo, however he was surprised at how good of a fight he put up against it, having such a close match. He was proud of himself and his Pokémon, though a bit disappointed he didn't win. "Maybe next time." he said to himself.

"Hello Chuck." Oak said as he and Liam walked up.
"Yeah, it was really close." Liam added.

"Oh, hello Professor! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!" Chuck said, surprised. He noticed Liam there too "Hey Liam, that was a crazy battle, wasn't it?"

"Once Shiranui gets here, I have something to ask the three of you." Oak told Chuck.

"That certainly sounds exciting!" Chuck said, smiling as he went to grab his Pokémon.
