The general consenses is that moves are available as long as it is possible. We have small time jumps periodically, and Liam coul have done it during one of them and get back with the help of his Alakazam.

Interesting, I'm sure Bowtie said that Liam would be facing the elite 4 after winning the coin toss. Meh, the outcome of the battle does not affect me, since Mike and Sashia have already completed the Aloha region. They will run with their teams that did that.

Are we going by the rule that theirs already a Pokemon league built and ready or is it still building and gets finished when the group are there? After all, Mike and Sashia would already be island challenge Champions but there's no definitive champion until the league is built.

So, my thoughts are that, for time, we skip the E4 and go straight to the champion battle between Chuck and Shiranui. As for Alola, we can have them finalizing the league as we arrive.

For time constraints, we can gloss over the E4 Battles and say Chuck won them.
