Katharine is a calm, skeptical person, who usually takes a cautious approach to things. While not exactly the silent type, she isn't a talkative person, and sort of keeps to herself. She doesn't mind the company of others around her, and always tries to keep an open mind when it comes to meeting new people, often removing herself from any prejudices that may accompany a certain person. Those who get on her bad side will find that she has almost different levels of hate ranging from ignoring you to systematically destroying your life and personality until your a shell of a person. Katharine knows how to play the mind game, and will truly terrorize the individual she hates, but that's like "killed a puppy" bad. For the most part, she'll just put in smartass, clever insults or be sarcastic. Often times you will find Katharine smoking, as it is one of her favorite stress relievers.
In combat, Katharine is more the same, only a bit more serious. She will be a team player and leaves as much interfering emotions behind on the ground once in hostile air. Though, for those long, lonely night patrols, you may just be lucky enough to see the other side of her. Somewhere down there, behind all the skepticism, realist views and introvert personality, there is an energetic little girl, that just wants to fly through the clouds. It is during these solitary moments in the sky that comes out.
History:
Like many other children of the world, she was a child who grew up around war. Her father was a veteran of the Belkan War, her mother, a military nurse who treated those who survived the war (and guess how her parents met!) and now goes on relief efforts for those in less fortunate situations.Katharine was inspired by her father's exploits as a pilot and as a little girl, fell in love with the idea of fly. Though the combination of her father's expensive injury and her mother's low pay forced them into poverty. It was there, in the city streets, where Katharine lost her childhood. At first they lived in a small, yet cozy apartment. She missed her mother as she was always away for long periods of time on relief efforts. Slowly, those periods of time got longer, and longer, until one day, she never came back. Her father, held back by a severe injury to his leg, was forced to get a low end job at a warehouse as a crane operator. He too, began be home less and less to pay for there crushing medical debt. Elizabeth soon realized the harsh life living in the dangerous neighborhood that was her home. When she was sixteen, she was jumped by a two men. She was found, sitting up against a wall, covered in blood, tightly grasping a lead pipe. A few feet past her lay two lifeless corps with their heads brutally smashed in. No charges were filled as it was proven to be self defense, but since that day, she became a much quieter, introverted person. This is when she began her smoking habit.
As soon as she reached the legal age, She quickly signed up for the Osean Air Defense Force, and blew through her basic training. Katharine worked tirelessly through basic training and when she got top marks, she quickly applied for officer school so that she may become a pilot. A few years later, she graduated flight school at the top of her class and also ranked high in her officer school tests. She began to send back larger paychecks to her dad, keeping only bare minimum for herself. Since her arrival in Delta Squadron, she's the youngest member of the squadron and after a few months has made some friends with the much older members that make up Delta Squadron. She has yet to see true combat.
