Nika Strobel
It had been a grueling process to begin so late in the starting day, but Nika done as she intended to and hammered out the length and shape of her sword. As was expected of a chunk of elongated metal that hadn't known the touch of a grindstone, it lacked any cutting edge but had been hammered into a fitting form. Standing straight with a 94 centimeter blade and 7 centimeter tang, it was average for a greatsword in terms of sheer size, though it wasn't like the god needed an armament to cleave through multiple persons. Of course, what would immediately catch the eye with her sword was the very metal used to forge it, two mundane metals joined into a rolling sea culminating in the very tip of the sword. Steel and iron, hammered and stretched together from billet to sword, had created a wave like pattern where lighter steel washed over the darker iron in a cycle reminiscent of the ocean's waves. Nika had never scene an ocean, but this pattern did always leave her with a sense of wonder for the majesty those boundless depths must hold, and hoped that the patron god would appreciate it as well.
With the sword now shaped, it was only a matter of tempering the heated metal in a prepared trough of water before she could move onto the finishing odds and ends that made the sword serviceable. Since the impromptu handle had long since been removed once the sword grew too large, Nika pulled the sword from the forge with two pairs of tongues and carefully submerging it within the water oil, allowing the blade to cool into a proper weapon.
When the smoke and steam cleared, she withdrew the 'modern' Damascus sword and looked it over from tang to tip, finding no warps or cracks had formed from her own negligence or otherwise. To her surprise, there was a maid waiting for her at the end of her sword, the hardened point inches away from spearing a jug of juice.
"Ah, I didn't here you come in. Must have gone a bit deaf from the all the hammering." She set aside the great sword to rest on the anvil, taking a rest to address the guest in her humble workshop. "You've caught me at the perfect time. A drink would be nice while I prepare for the next step."
She accepted the offered orange juice, greedily drinking down lukewarm fruit juice to slake the mighty thirst she had from slaving over the forge. Leaning against a the table where the remaining steel, iron, and bronze rested, Nika set down the emptied jug and looked over Lotte curiously. "Hmm, could I ask for you to help me with this? It's alright if you do not wish to, but I'm trying to forge a sword that is...emblematic, of Seishun and those who reside here. If you could forge the bronze scabbard for this sword, then this would be an excellent gift from the staff and students to out god, assuming it accepts the host."
This was more of a spur of the moment proposition then Nika would normally like, but given the challenge before her, it couldn't hurt to ask.
