Was planning on claiming the area where the river meets the big oasis. Hold on, I actually made a picture a bit earlier and just haven't got around to sticking it on my sheet yet.

Is anyone currently looking at a small area of the map northwest of the main fertile area, just south of the area that looks like ashlands, and north of that small mountain range? I'm not looking at making a faction, but rather a character with a lifestyle that would be extremely likely in that specific region, and if anyone is planning to use that area, I'd love to talk with them about culture and other factors that their faction would have on my character.

Concerning the Oasis States or especially well off Watelander factions, technology is a blend of modern and near/far future tech. Hover craft, track and wheeled vehicles are in use side by side to traverse the Great Wastes. Concerning weapons, ballistic weapons are of course the norm, directed energy weapons however are more rare.

Ok. So at this point I'm toying around with a sort of "Keeper of Knowledge" paramilitary organization. They trade services for knowledge and secrets while trying to either record history as its being made or keep safe knowledge from the past.

Monks and I have briefly discussed our ideas. He mentioned a sort of loose democracy between several oasis city-states.

@Darkspleen Thanks! Ok, I may have got an idea on what to make. So far we have three confirmed Oasis-related Factions, a good solid start for the "backround" of the setting.

There's a possibility of me playing as a marauding band of Xenos who ride around the Great Wastes and Ashlands in hobbled-together hover craft, and maybe wheeled vehicles.

Hmmm, do you have any idea how old you plan on your faction being? Since I can see some interaction between your faction and Orglas, and it's something for me to think about.
