I wrote the brief history, though be warned it is a bare bones history with only the absolute necessary in there.
Also, the reason that the name of the admiral leading the Imperial Confederacy fleet is not divulged is because it is considered traitors are not worthy of being remembered by name.

So the Imperial Fleet aided the Outer Alliance in forcing the Mandate back, only to withdraw prematurely, thus getting your admiral executed? Did I get that right? I'm interested in what your nations attitude will be at the outset of the RP, so if you could let me know either here or in PM that would be great, but your NS is looking fine at this point.
I'd like to play as the Asati Alliance, a group of plasma based lifeforms that use living starships (cybernetically enhanced space-based lifeforms) to move around. I wouldn't join the UA, though, as it's basically an attempt to push their own will onto everyone else.
We'd have hyperdrive tech, which makes us your enemy, I guess.
I'd prefer something a little more politically motivated other than more war-mongers but go ahead and write something up and we can discuss it.
@PolybiusWe aren't warmongers. We're explorers who don't normally interfere in other's lives, but it doesn't seem like the UA would allow that, as we have tech they don't like.
We'd try to be neutral, but with everyone interacting with us, I don't see that as being very likely.

A trianary star cluster, with a red, yellow, and blue star.
Probably a list of people you will be roleplaying as. Include a few of these from whatever part of your nation is relative. Update as necessary.
Sisali - A 900 year old Asati that has been living with an extended family of Ooshla in one of the outer star systems for almost 200 years. This family likes to explore new systems, so he gets to see many new systems. They carry many non-sentient space-based beings with them as they travel, partly to seed new systems, and partly for their kids to play with.
Oto-masa - An Aldvari general whose fleet patrols the outer systems in case of alien invasion.
You need not list every world under your nations flag, but include some important ones like major economic hubs/ports, and governmental centers etc.
Asati-varon - A tritanary star system, where the Asati evolved, which doesn't contain any inhabitable planets. It does, however, contain a very large population of Ooshla.
Meltios - The home system of the Ooshla and other space-based lifeforms. It contains an inhabitable planet, also named Meltios, where the Ooshla's ancestors evolved. The planet contains a base for Aldvari cyberneticists.
Varoon- The Aldvari homeworld.
Don't give me an exhaustive history of your nation or race from primordial times, just catch us up from the era of the Llyr Empire.
They only just met "The Imperial Confederation of An'ketan", and as such know little about your nations.
Briefly describe the primary species of your nation. If your nation has multiple species, include them here as well.
Asati- A race of plasma based life forms, they evolved in the blue star of their home system, but soon were spread to the yellow and red stars via solar flares. They learned to manipulate the plasma in and around them, communicating with each other via light pulses or radio waves, and discovered that they could travel outside of stars by drawing in interplanetary gasses and becoming a fusion reactor, using the waste gas as a thruster. Eventually some of them learned to generate warp fields around themselves and traveled to stars in other systems. In one of these systems they found many races of creatures that contained a natural plasma nexus within themselves. They were able to control or train the lower forms and partner with the only intelligent form, making their bodily functions more efficient and teaching the intelligent ones to generate warp fields. They then began a mass colonization effort with their new friends and pets. In one of the systems they arrived at, they met the Aldvari, who gave them their name, meaning "stars". These organic lifeforms formed an agreement with the Asati agreeing to pay them for knowledge of plasma and physics research, as well as help in their ship's systems, and in return giving them cybernetic upgrades for their pets and starship friends, should they want it. That agreement has persisted for over one thousand years, with the Aldvari tech growing stronger over time. Two hundred years ago the Asati even discovered hyperactive technology, and all races in their systems, not just the Asati and Aldvari, incorporated them into their larger ships.
Aldvari- A race of rabbit like carbon based life forms, they manufacture technology for the Asati and their ships in exchange for scientific research, something which the Asati can do more easily as they can speak with the computers through radio waves and light pulses instead of keyboards and speech. They build purely technological ships, as the living ships can only be used if you build on the outside or live in the nursing pouch of one of the carriers.
Ooshla- Sentient space-based lifeforms that serve as ships for Asati. They have plasma Nexi in their bodies which act as fusion reactors and power storage, and provide power for different high-energy systems. The Asati sometimes inhabit the plasma Nexi to move around or help them. The adult females can have between 1 (youngest)-9 (for those over 1000 years old) Uteri with different nursing pouches attached to each of them. Each uterus can be independently pregnant. They spend the first 5-6 years after birth in these pouches, and when they are 70-120 meters long they are weened by their mothers and begin living in space on their own. 25-30 years later they begin puberty, before which they are difficult to distinguish between the sexes. During the 4-6 years of puberty, the males grow quickly, with their exoskeltons growing harder and thicker, and their plasma cannon growing far stronger. The females instead grow nursing pouches and uteri and gain a stronger plasma screen to protect them against radiation. Their plasma cannon also becomes a focused plasma beam for cutting up asteroids for their young. They continue to grow in size and power throughout their lives, and the females gain more uteri and nursing pouches as well.
Where does your nation stand on certain issues? You need not write your nations stance on every issue but pick one or two things. For instance, how do they view the heavy regulations of FTL?
They obviously can not support the FTL regulations, as they don't have the gate technology and don't believe in restricting technology if they did. They haven't developed planet-destroying weapons, though if they were at war with someone who did have it they would likely acquire them, either by building them or by stealing them. They have no problems with genetic engineering, though only the Aldvari and other organic races uses them. They are opposed to the idea of using technology to force people into your army, as it violates the free will of those people. They obviously don't approve of the genocide of innocent people, but did not experience it themselves, so are distant from those horific events.
Advanced powers probably have a mixed economy of resource production, mining, manufacturing, tourism etc.
They have little need for material wealth, and spend most or all of their money one upgrades for their pets (non-sentient space-based lifeforms) and friends (Ooshla). The Aldvari on the other hand, manufacture starships and other forms of advanced technology for themselves and for export. Their worlds are protected against space-based enemies by living ships which live in the Kuiper and/or asteroid belts of most of their systems, so they have very little pirate activity, leading to more interstellar trade than in most sectors of the galaxy.
Sample Branches of the Military: Fleet Special Forces Intelligence Service etc.
The Asati and Ooshla (sentient space-based lifeforms) don't have an organized military, but they do have a police force which keeps the systems where they live safe for all intelligent races within them. The Aldvari, however, do have a military for dealing with threats outside their borders. It accepts members of all races, though the vast majority are carbon-based.
The Aldvari also have an intelligence services, and have information passed to them by the traders that go to other systems, should the traders hear of anything dangerous.
Not necessary, but feel free to map any aspect of your nation that you wish. Homeworlds, systems etc. You may claim a section of the galactic map as your own as well, but the borders are an abstraction and merely represent your nations presence in the galaxy. If you wish, I can draw your nation in as I see fit.
Good to hear Pepper, any questions or just want to bounce ideas around shoot me a PM.
Were the Llyrians human?
I have been imagining the Llyr Empire as something similar to the Austrian Empire, with one group in-charge of many ethnic and cultural groups (and in this case species) with fewer rights. Is that fine?
Alexis RáðgrÃðr ( which means Council-Truce ) , High Gladiator and Ambassador for Draugaria.
Ares : Homeworld of Draugaria and birthplace of the Draugs.
Enyo : Battle Planet. Home to the Grand Coliseum and the planet that was inhabited by the Createrians. Every dispute that appears between anyone in Draugaria is settled here in a trial of combat.
Alala : Biggest commercial hub in Draugaria controlled territory.
Draugarian was a warrior nation since before the fall of the Lylr Empire. Founded by William RáðgrÃðr when he single handedly defeated the Creatarian general. Draugaria at first enslaved the Creatarians but after a few years and some quelled rebellions, the Creatarians proved they could be part of Draugaria and were allowed to "ascend" to the rank of citizens of Draugaria. Now, they call themselves Draugs and are allowed to fight in the Grand Coliseum for fame and fortune.
Draugs are big humanoid creatures with grey skin and muscled body. Standing at an average of 2 meters high, they are living fighting machines that can easily lift up to 100 kg.
Creatorians are humanoid plant-like creatures that thrive in tropical like weather with green skin. They are a peace seeking nations that were attacked by the Draugs and conquered a few years later.
Draugaria fully supports the heavy regulations of the FTL devices because they understand the risks of having unchecked FTL devices. They pose a risk, too high to be ignored. They are one of the nations that supports the regulations at every meeting possible.
Gene Manipulation & Genetic Engineering are one of the topics that Draugaria representatives always yell at people that talk about it. Draugarians believe in purity in combat and by manipulating the genes in a person, you remove that persons purity.
Even if Draugaria doesn't encompass much territory most of it's planets house Coliseums, mining companies and weapon factories. But most of the money that enter Draugaria come from the Grand Coliseum which not only attracts tourists from every place of the galaxy but it also is used to settle disputes between the people of Draugaria.
- 10.000.000 Laser Sword Warriors used as front-line soldiers. - 5.000.000 heavily armored soldiers, armed with assault weapons and swords. - 50.000 Shield Tanks ( machines that generate a shield around them )
- 6.000.000 Soldiers suited for support more than combat. Healing and such. - 250.000 Creatorian Artillery. Big machines in the form of a seeds that launches multiple bombs at the same time ( around 10 ) that explode on contact. - 150.000 Weaponized Tree-like robots that are used to support the troops, acting as "meat-shields" for the Draugarian Main Forces. - 10.000 Stealth Soldiers. Used to ambush enemy troops.
- 500.000 Elite Draugarian Soldiers trained since they are able to hold a sword/gun. The candidates are chosen from the children of retired Champions of the Coliseum or Draguarians that could be classified as "prodigies" between their peers. They are masters of both - 450.000 Creatorian Trees. An evolved form of the robots that can are armored with the best armor money can buy with an additional shield generator that protects them and those around the Trees. Each Creatorian Tree is equipped with turrets and in addition they can use their "arms" to pick up enemy tanks. - 500.000 Creatorian-Draugarian Snipers
is there a guide to which ships we can have and how many? My ships are living beings, so they'll be many, but most aren't Cybernetically enhanced, so they aren't very strong.

Not specifically human, but humanoid. Sort of a template race of humanoids with many closely related races, the Zylatt (which I've only barely mentioned) the Luak who were culturally distinct from the Llyr, but had many close relationships with the former Empire.

On the first page is a Stellar Classification Chart. Under the Data Hider Tab.
Not going to bother getting caught up with numbers and statistics in this RP as it is narrative driven-just estimate or give a rough description of what forces you can marshal. If you wish to use numbers that is perfectly fine-but it will not effect the game through any sort of dice-rolling mechanic.
What kind of weapons are you guys thinking for your ships? I am thinking for my common ships using mainly X-ray Lasers, Plasma weapons, and missiles but with gravitic weapons becoming more common
