@Holy SoldierSo my new concept goes with the summon dragon idea for a race. Dragon shamans are humans that either survive drinking the blood of a dragon, or are born from other Dragon shaman's (Though those that are born do not receive the full effect of their powers until they reach maturity.)
Dragon shamans are mostly mortal, but possess some qualities influenced by draconic. They have the blood of a dragon, which is toxic in nature. While they do not have an undefined heat resistance like a dragon, they can still tolerate intense heat such as fire without injury or agitation. They are slightly more durable then other humans, and are stronger in comparison, they also have twice the average life span. They often posses small horns, some minor patches of scales on specific parts of their body as a birth mark (different for each individual) reptilian and glowing eyes, and have the ability to use dracomancy. Otherwise they are considered to be mortal.
Dracomancy is a shaman-like magic that relates to dragons, which varies from gaining or performing draconic qualities such as growing wings or breathing flames, to contracting with the spirits of dragons and summoning them.
So the character would have that pet from the necromancer as his contracted dragon, which he can summon freely and serves as his 'bloodhound' so to speak. That, and he himself can breathe flames, but thats about all the powers I'll give him. He'd be an agent.
