Reed was unsure if the hooded woman wanted to be followed or not, given how she could move Reed figured she could make herself scarce if she so desired. Reed didn't have much time to decide if he wanted to follow her or not as Avi's divination seemed to have revealed to him the location of the missing child. Reed just nodded, "I figured it would get ugly," before going back to the group he glanced back at where he last saw the strange girl. "After finding this kid we should check out the Cathedral of the Gods," Reed wasn't sure if he should mention the girl, he decided against it, if Avi asked then he would tell him why.

They returned to the group and Reed saw Kimi was talking with the mother, trying to get some information presumably, while the rest weren't doing much of anything. "We've got a lead on where the kid was taken, but we have to hurry before the trail goes cold." Without waiting to see how the others felt about helping out Reed walked over to Kimi and the mother. He took one of her hands and said sincerely, "ma'am, you don't need to worry. We'll make sure your son gets back to you safe and sound. Where will we be able to find you once we have him?" Reed made no mention of payment, while that was usually one of the first things on his priority list he had a special exception when it came to kids.

Sagant "Redeye" Reikus

Sagant couldn't help but stare for a long moment at Kriess with genuine curiosity. For all the armor he wore, the shields on his back, he was quite a dexterous fellow, keeping several objects in the air at once. This, probably for show, included a knife, which impressed the goblin somewhat. He shook his head and snagged the apple from the man, taking a bite out of it before taking stock of what happened. Chara, apparently, had been busy being herself. Or himself, that was still up in the air by the look of it. Kimi, the healer of the group, was working some innocent conversational magic to gather some information from the mother, all while rejecting payment.

He sighed audibly, the girl's actions betraying his dog eat dog mentality. "We need every edge we can get, Kimi!" He berated, dropping his tone to a mere mumble afterwards. "As underhanded as accepting payment from an old woman is..." The eyes in his head rolled with sarcasm, returning to the sweep of the party.

Reed was on his way to the mother as well, hopefully he would pick up where the healer had left off, discussing payment and the like. Instead, he gave the group a task to find the boy before he was gone for good, causing the goblin to shake his head in disappointment. He bit into his apple again and stalked on over to the pair, wedging himself between them. "These two may be on board for good will, but I'll need something to make it worth my time, ma'am. Rule of life, if you're good at something, never do it for free." The light caught the blue gem hanging from his right ear while he spoke, honeying his words while he awaited a response from the woman. Sure, it was dirty to nickle and dime an old woman, but Sagant wasn't the most moral of beings.

Kreiss Stahl

"Me?" He said, locking onto several of the items he was juggling. "The name's Kreiss Stahl."

It was kind of unfortunate that he'd gone through the trouble of juggling all these items and Chara didn't even take anything. At least Sagant had, but Kreiss had been assuming Chara had been eating that apple of hers before for a reason. He singled out the beef jerky, bread, and he was probably going to take some cheese as well. He threw up the hunk of beef jerky, one bread, the knife, and the cheese round high into the air; whilst simultaneously catching the rest in his arms, and then dropping into a squat to dump the rest of it in his bag.

He caught the items he had thrown in the air earlier and started making his sandwhich. He sliced the bread clean in half with the knife, then shaved off some beef jerky and put it into the sandwhich. He topped it off with a slice of cheese and then put the supplies back into his bag. He picked up is bag and slung it over his back with one arm, holding his sandwich in the other.

"Alright. Even though no one's really keepin' you here, you should probably follow close to us, or something." He said, turning back to Chara. "If you run I don't think I'd be able to catch you."

Chara jumps up putting her knife in their pouch on her thigh and looks over at Kriess. "Good idea... I don't know what good I would do for you guys for how I could be of help, but I'll sure try," She says with a sly grinning. She looks around at everyone unsure what to do now.
