@Shmektheshmuck Hey, you gotta get your CS approved before popping it anywhere. I would suggest you write down a bit more detail in his personality, backstory and weapon. Why would a noble sneak in a weapon?
@ineffable sorry, I was reading some other rp and just posted it without knowing, I think. the weapon wasn't snuck in, it's just a formality, I typed in the post that the guard noticed the sword and just accepted it, also you said characters could bring weapons if they weren't concealed or something like that.
A guard at the front checks for weapons, though it is concealed well enough they may let it pass, but that is a dangerous risk to take.
You mean this? The guards only let in people who have concealed weapons. Meaning they can't find the weapons. What guard would let in a guy with a sword? It's a royal ball, remember. There's the princess in there. It's the palace. No weapons allowed. Some have weapons but they are concealed well enough so the guards can't see. Why would a nobleman need a weapon as I said before? Unless he's a murderer or some of the sort. Or at least has a good reason. @Shmektheshmuck
@ineffable Funny thing is, I made this character before I read Wrath and the Dawn, but I also live that Khalid so much (so it ended up being a happy accident because I completely forgot!)
@ineffable I mean, technically, yes, he could have, but then he would have been dooming all the people he was supposed to protect. The whole point is he wasn't selfish; he was owning up to his mistake and suffering so his people would not die (well, you know, except for the wives...)
@SilverFallen Yeah that's what I was thinking. Still just finished the wrath and the dawn and was thinking about the Khalid-Tariq cliche. For once, can the girl choose a nice guy? Ugh.
@ineffableOh have you not read The Rose and the Dagger yet? And you know, it's YA. We will never be free of love triangles. But hey, we got Khalid so it makes it worth it.
