“Lunch?” Sakana answered, staring the girl down. This idiot was eating her food, while he was doing the work. Typical. Then again, now that she mentioned it, he kinda felt like going for lunch himself. “You could've at least brought me something you- h-hey, is that fish? Do you have to eat that around me? You're practically eating my namesake, you know?” The mere thought of it made his body shudder, which was only made worse when she flicked that stinking thing at him once she was done.

“Hey!” he shouted, stepping away, but not in time to avoid the fish head tapping against his chest. Instead of catching it, which would be strange, he stepped back further, flailing his arms somewhat in disgust. He looked at the fish head as it laid on the ground, and then looked at the annoying runt in front of him. “That's fucking gross, Shirayuri. And for the record.. my father is called Kingyo.. 'goldfish.' Not 'ugly brown thing on a stick.' Get it right. Fuckin' idiot. Ahhh.. Okay! Now that you've had lunch, I'm going to get something to eat too. You don't mind.”

He turned left towards the gate and began to make headway, but stopped after merely two footsteps. Something was off. “Oi.. Shirayuri, do you.. feel that?” he carefully asked as he turned back to the girl. The moment he turned, something flashed in the corner of his eye, and he quickly ducked. He stepped forwards twice, and then looked back completely, only to see some stranger wielding a kunai.

“H-hey!” Sakana yelled, stepping backwards once again and ducking once more, stepping underneath the second swipe the man made at him. “What the hell is wrong with you?” his seemed very strange. Also, why the fuck was nobody else helping him? What the hell was wrong with this guy? “If you don't stop, I'm gonna whoop your ass, you id- HEY!” Once again, Sakana ducked low and stepped forward, rapidly moving underneath the man's arm and ending up behind him. Sakana flashed his teeth momentarily as he reached for Han'nin, his knife, and pulled it out.

For a moment he considered asking Shirayuri to help him, but knowing her she'd probably sit by the side and laugh at him. So he just gritted his teeth and stepped forward, slashing at the man. But he reacted too swiftly and his kunai and Sakana's Han'nin clashed, sparks flying off as the blades touched and let go again. It seemed like regular stabbing wasn't going to make the cut - so it was time to pretend Sakana was stupid. Hm, well, it didn't take much pretending in all fairness.

Rather than stab the man, Sakana didn't do anything at all and waited for him to attack. When he did attack, with a wide slashing motion, Sakana merely had to step into the swipe, use his left hand to grab the arm and stop it completely, before stabbing the guy twice with his knife. Once he did that, he dropped Han'nin on the ground and grabbed his shoulders, before letting himself fall backwards. He extended his leg, kicking it into the man's gut, and then used it to launch the man into the distance. “Give it a rest, yeah?!” he yelled the moment he let go.

The man flew into the distance, indeed, and landed against a tree. Satisfied with himself, Sakana got up and grabbed Han'nin, putting it away quickly, before turning to see what the man had done. But it seemed like he was already gone - in his place was only a pool of water. What the hell. “Oi.. that's not right. Shiray- get down!”

The moment he looked over to Shirayuri, in that dumbass wooden booth, he had noticed a hand extending from the back wall of the booth. It seemed that something, or someone, had used some hiding technique to morph with the booth, and was now trying to slit Shirayuri's throat. Though, she had probably already noticed that herself.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

“Uh, tragic?” Mawari seemed slightly confused by Ira's words when he had appeared. On his own accord, no less. It seemed that both Dio and Mu were more useless than they had seemed at first. Perhaps even Ira could out-do them. She scoffed at the thought, looking away from Ira the moment he had spoken to her. “Not quite. I'm your new jonin. And you're late already. At least you're not quite as late as Dio and Mu.” Well, let's not mention how she had sent them away to go find Ira. It was better for Ira to blame them.

Though, it seemed like not a moment later, Dio had figured out that Ira was already there. He wasted no time in putting Ira in his place. Too late. She shook her head at his comment, and her hands would both curl into fists. The youth of today.. they were idiots. All of them! Baka! she yelled, before she stepped out forwards, clearing the distance between them with one long step.

She opened her right fist into a palm and, with utmost precision, and a whole lot of force, placed it into Dio's stomach. Despite her lack of knowledge on the gentle fist style, Dio would most certainly be remembered of any hard blows he'd received in his training. The hokage's physical strength allowed her to punch and strike very hard, as Mu had already discovered when she had 'claimed' him during his lunchtime. Now it was Dio's turn to found out.

If Dio didn't move, he'd be hit very hard in the stomach, which would at the very least shove him back a few feet, kicking up dust perhaps. At the very best, if he didn't anticipate the hit at all, well.. he would possibly be sent tumbling back into the fountain. “Don't pretend you did work when you did nothing! If you were a real man, like your father, you'd have accepted that you lost!” She was visibly angered, yelling quite loudly at him. Whatever feminine charms she had, they would fade when she was angry, and instead she seemed more like a very strong leader. An authority - one that was meant to be respected. “Lying to me won't make up for your failure! Get on the ground and do twenty push-ups!”

Once he was done, and once Mu had arrived, Mawari would cross her arms. Her face would be stern and her chin would be up - either arrogance, disappointment, of self-confidence. Perhaps all three. “Mu, Dio, you were both late, and besides that you failed in your mission. For that, you should feel ashamed. Ira, you were late, but at least you completed the mission. Without even knowing the mission. For that, you have won the prize.”

She leaned forwards slightly then, looking Ira directly in the eyes. Her large bossom would expose itself, and she would make no attempts to cover it up. But she was certain Ira would not dare look away from her eyes, not now. The prize is.. she slowly said, looking deeper and deeper into Ira's eyes until she could almost feel his soul being pulled out. Figuratively.

“.. wisdom. So listen carefully; the weak are meat; the strong eat. Huh. Well, whatever the boys had expected to win off of this competition, she was quite sure they'd be happier with some wisdom than with an actual prize. They were from the biggest and most important family anyway. It wasn't like she needed to bribe them. They had anything they wanted, she was sure.

“And before we leave on our mission, I want you all to tell me what you think those words of wisdom mean.”

Mū Sarutobi

Ineractions: @LokiLeo789@Hillan@buddha

Soon Mū saw the mist dissipating but no Dio to be found, "Dio?...Dio?...Dio!!!!!!!"Mū said yelling for Dio, he seemed to have left him in the sticky water looking a fool. "That bastard left me here" Mū said angrily as he clenched his fist. When he sees him again he surely is going to give him a piece of his mind. Soon one of the Sarutobi clansmen saw Mū trapped when it completely dissipated,"Its Mū trapped in some kind of sticky liquid", he made sure to focus chakra to the soles of his feet before stepping onto the liquid. "What happened" he said as he picked Mū up but without success. "Just a little friendly competition gone too far" Mū said with an angry tone. "Flow chakra into your soles as I pull so you can be released" Mū's feet started glowing and soon enough he was free, "Thank you a lot" Mū said bowing and then he takes off after Dio. "I should cut that traitor up" Mū said as he leaped the roof tops.

Edit: Soon enough Mū arrived, just in time too see Dio get hit by the hokage, it relieved most of his anger though he wanted to do it himself. He quickly reached in front of the hokage and bowed"I apologize for being the last one to reach you , once I told Dio that Ira had already reached you and that we had failed" He then listened to what the hokage had to say.

"The weak are meat;the strong eat"

Mū thought to himself as what she meant to that, it sounded rather straight forward. "I believe it means those who lack power falls victim to those who have power" Mū said pretty confident with his answer

Osuushi, Senhime

Million Threads
@Masaki Haruna - Uchiha Ria
@BladeSS4 - Uchiha Tenshi
@Thecrash20 - Nagasaki Hitori

Blowing on her ramen, Senhime watched as the young shinobi interacted with each other, chuckling slightly as Sutakku thanked her. "Oh, it's my pleasure." she chimed, assuring the boy that she wasn't going to judge if he scarfed the food down like a madman. Seeing Hitori's younger sibling, she couldn't help but think about how Akumako may have been doing in Kumogakure. Apparently she'd become a genin in the years since they'd been apart, so it was hard not to worry at least a little bit. It wasn't long before each of her new subordinates saw fit to ask questions. Turning to Ria, possibly the most eccentric of the group given her odd speech patterns, she nodded. "I'm glad you asked. Since I have yet to see you all in action, I figured I'd take you all to the training field to test out your abilities. It'd be a little irresponsible to take you all out on a mission without knowing firsthand what you can handle, no?" she answered, punctuating her sentence with a dainty slurp of her noodles. "As usual, Jo-sensei's done excellent work~." Senhime thought, taking a moment to savour the flavor of her ramen before moving on to Tenshi, who of course had his own question. "Oh, of course. You'll have time to grab anything you might need. I've already set up some equipment at the training field, but it's alright if you have some specific tastes." she told him, acknowledging that there were many shinobi who preferred to use more unorthodox weaponry. Especially considering that, given the length of the Shurakumo, she counted among that number.

Though, now that she thought about it, the roster scroll the Hokage had given her didn't have a lot of information on the individual team members on hand. Both Tenshi and Ria were Uchiha, so there was at least a base expectation of their possible proclivities, but not much beyond that. Beyond that, it was abundantly clear that young Ria had unlocked her Sharingan. And then there was the matter of Hitori and Tenshi. While Hitori was a chunin like Ria, Mawari had put in a specific note that the boy struggled with the arts of ninjutsu and genjutsu. That being said, what knowledge he had of fuinjutsu could prove to be an asset to Konoha in the future. And then there was Tenshi, both the youngest of the group and a Genin. Only time would tell whether he would live up to the name of the Uchiha, but his youth would make him at least a little easier to teach than the other two. Plus, there was the matter of adequately preparing the boy for the chunin exams.

"Well, I suppose now would be as good a time as any to ask…" she began, once again getting her fill of noodles before continuing. "What is it that you all believe you can work on? I want to do my best to bring out the best in all of you, so I'd like to at least know where your head is. And hopefully that knowledge will put you in mind to help each other. Tenshi still has yet to take the chunin exams, so I hope you two can lend him a hand in preparing." she explained, observing the three of them calmly as she got another slurp of noodles in.

"Ara ara~. Almost forgot. We have a mission coming up, so I'd hope that you don't go too hard during our little training exercise~."

Sarutobi Ira

"You fucking coward!" Ira cried as Dio put him on his knees on the ground with a swift kick to his stomach. "Attacking me like that's something I'd expect from such a low-class shinobi like you, Dio." Ira said, getting back on his feet, holding back from using his metal jutsu and tearing the Hyuuga's face off. "You're lucky I was busy listening to Lady Hokage, or I would've torn you a new one. Don't test me, asshole." Ira warned him, before turning back to his sensei, bowing once again. "Thank you, Lady Hokage. It's gonna be a real treat to be trained by someone of your renown. But, I have to ask, Mu Sarutobi makes sense that he's on this team - he's the second best prodigy of our clan's current generation. But what is this Branch Scum doing in our elite team?" Ira questioned, before thinking on her words, he got his hair out of his face, before he spoke up.

"The Weak are meat, and the strong will eat's an old saying, isn't it? From a time before the winter, hell, even before this - or any village existed, right? That the weakest warriors had no right to ask for food, and food was only given to the strong, those that had proven themselves in the heat of battle. That cowards - Like Dio, are worthless, and only real warriors will prosper." The Sarutobi said, venomously at his Hyuuga classmate, completely disregarding the fact that both Dio and Mu were higher rank than him, despite all of them going to the Academy together.

While Dio hadn't anticipated the Hokage's reaction to be so ill-tempered, he did anticipate the chain reaction. Gritting his teach and clenching his abs, he weathered the Hokage's devastating blow, sliding backwards a few feet before clutching his throbbing gut. Lady Hokage had been known for her strength, but holy hell did he underestimate it; and this was more or less her mild side, in a serious fight, there would be no room to 'weather' such a blow.

While the physicality of her punch did him harm physically, her words bounced off his mental guard like pebbles to a mountain. In fact, the very notion garnered no reaction from the Hyuga, only a deadpan face and a labored breath.

For the most part, he found himself questioning the Hokage's reprimandation , how could he have been lying to her is she had found Ira herself? The logic jaded his opinion of the Hokage a tad bit more as his emotionless mask restructured itself upon his face completely. Getting to his feet, he turned to Ira, who's fiery words lacked the heat to inflict any burns upon Dio's psyche, they never did. It was one of the reasons why he found the Sarutobi to be so lack luster.

With two steps he crossed the distance between him and the group, letting a smirk dance itself upon his face. "You Sarutobi are all bark and no bite." he chlorted, thinking on the Hokage's supposed words of wisdom.

While the possible definitions provided lacked the 'meat' to possibly link its meaning, Dio could find some truth in thier words, Mu's that is, Ira's was full of youthful contempt; one of his many idiosyncrasies. Turning to the Hokage, Dio himself attempted to define the saying in simple terminology. "Survival of the fittest." he added, crossing his arms across his chest as his curiosity peeked with the notion a mission.

"Lady Hokage, will we be briefed on the Mission standings?" he began, realizing at that same moment that they were most likely going to receive no response on thier possible saying definitions.

Eiichiro Kishimoto

He had made his way to the training field, the crowds had kept him quite busy, a couple of villagers had stopped to talk to him while he had picked up supplies for their meeting. He carried a bag over his shoulder as he arrived on the training field, his students were nowhere to be seen, except for the bluehaired girl standing in the middle of the field. Kishimoto ignored her for now, walking over to the opposite end of the field, he set up the kettle of tea he had prepared, as well as his bags of tea flavor. Once he had prepared the tea to begin boiling, he headed over the to young girl, who was waiting for the rest of the team to gather.

Kishimoto tapped the girl on the shoulder with his finger to get her attention, his crutch hanging on his wrist in it's leather strap, trying not to startle her. "Hey, Chikage?" He asked firmly.

The young kunoichi was fully distracted by the explosives she was juggling when she felt something foreign touch her shoulder. Having already gotten into her imaginative mindset from earlier about a potential invasion she was very quick to react again. Before the words even left the former Hokage's mouth, Chikage used some chakra to activate the bomb she just caught in her left hand. She rolled forward in a somersault, letting the other two bombs fall harmlessly to the ground where she was sitting right at Kishimoto's feet, before giving the primed bomb a quick toss while she was midway through her second roll. "Take this!" she shouted, timed with practice so that her would-be assassin would hear her words just before the bombs would explode at his feet. The primed one would set off the other two for a somewhat larger overall explosion, which Chikage would have her back to as she reached a safe distance. She wouldn't realize her mistake in letting her boredom and imagination get the better of her until it was far too late.

Kishimoto was rather surprised by all this, and as the bombs were falling to the ground, his crutch flew through the air, knocking the two bombs to the side, into the pond on the side of the field, a few meters to the side of them, then the crutch cut through the air again, and the third bomb exploded in between the two, yet far away to avoid Kishi taking any damage, only dirtying his poncho. "Oi. You should be careful with those things!" Kishi said strictly at her, revealing his lack of an arm and leg to her.

Once he had cleared up the reaction of the young girl, he grinned. The other two were now arriving, and he whistled at them to get their attention. "Over here, gather round." He said, as he began huddling towards where he had put down the tea kettle, some 25 meters away from Chikage, it taking him a moment or two to make his way over there in his condition.

"Hello. I'm Eiichiro Kishimoto, but you might've heard of me as the second Hokage, I lead the village during the long Winter, and during the war. My father was the first Hokage, so one could say I had quite some shoes to fill." Kishimoto introduced himself, chuckling. "But, don't worry about that. Now, I'm a Jonin again, and it's my duty, honor and pleasure to train and mold you young shinobi, to make you a better generation of ninja than mine ever was." His tone was rather cheerful.

He was sure the question would come up. "And yeah, it's real. I am missing both my arm and a leg, I lost them during the war, but I'm doing just fine without them. It was quite disarming at first, though." He joked, motioning for the three younglings to sit down. "I insist you all grab a cup of tea, and introduce yourselves. Say something about yourselves, like I did. Anything you want the others to know about you. And once we're done with that, we actually have a mission to begin today." He finished, taking the boiling kettle to the four cups, filling them up, putting the kettle down and grabbing a cup.

Chikage

The first indicator that something wasn't right was that the explosion sounded too small. Chikage finally turned around, already reaching into her bomb pouch from a crouching position before she got a good grasp of the situation. This was not an assassin but instead was an ally judging by his calm tone and lack of further action. An ally that Chikage just mutilated. She was quick to see that Kishimoto was missing too limbs though she was a bit slower to notice the lack of blood and his use of a crutch. "Kyaaa!!" She let out a horrified scream, bringing her hands up to her face to cover her mouth. "I'm so sorry Lord Hokage! We need t-..." Kishimoto would easily be able to identify the exact moment in time that Chikage realized her misconception about his injuries.

"Wha-... How did..." How could he have escaped the blast in that case with only some damage to his clothes? What happened to the other two bombs? Where did he even come from to sneak up on her like that? Why was he so calm after almost dying to friendly fire? Then Chikage realized that he had reprimanded her for her hasty reaction. Her face grew flush with embarassment as she got down on her hands and knees with her head bowed low to the ground. "Forgive me, sir! I didn't mean to try to kill you! I just thought you were an assassin from another country invading our village..." Her voice began to trail off as she realized that perhaps it was better to not explain her reasoning for attacking him. She didn't remain in her begging pose for long, getting back up to her feet as soon as she finished her apology. And once she was standing upright she finally had a good moment to size up Kishimoto, the Second Hokage.

And he seemed unimpressive. He was missing and an arm and a leg, for starters. He was moving around with a crutch. His clothes were dirty now. He was unshaven. His hair was messy. Overall he looked more like a bum than a shinobi, let alone a former Hokage. Chikage hadn't seen him in person in years and he looked way different than he did in her memories. She remembered him being taller, more handsome, having an authoritative aura about him. In his present state he looked like he could trip on a rock and take five minutes getting back up. "Uh..." Now Chikage was stuck alone with a washed-up Hokage that she just previously tried to kill. It was already awkward and she wasn't making the situation any better by staring at him. Thankfully she was saved by the arrival of her other two teammates. She had never met these two boys before, or at least she had no memory of them. They seemed about her age so perhaps they had classes together. Wait, of course we haven't met. I graduated years ago. Duh.

At Kishimoto's offer to sit, Chikage followed the team over to the little tea party he had set up. She couldn't recall ever having tea but it would seem rude to decline the kindness of a man she almost blew into tiny pieces. To that end she took a seat and one of the cups of tea, holding it in both hands. Since Kishi wanted to have everyone introduce themselves Chikage felt pressured into going first. She wasn't nervous about introducing herself or anything but still felt guilty for bombing a crippled man. "Well I'll start then," she began. "You can call me Yoshitaka, Chikage. I've been a genin for almost four years and I specialize in blowing things up. I guess I'm not that great at it considering Lord Hokage survived... but that isn't important." After her mouthful she took a quick sip of the hot tea, immediately scalding her tongue and making her regret her decision. After spitting a few times to ease her pain, or at least trick herself into thinking it was eased, she finished up her introduction. "I guess it's also a fair warning that I keep enough bombs on me to wipe out a city block, so don't set me on fire or anything like that."

Nō Iemochi

Location: Main Gate
Interacting: @Hillan

Today had been relatively slow day at the main gate. People came and went,some kids where playing around, and elderly couple, and of course the whole fruit fiasco, and now Nō and her partner where sitting down eating watermelon. They had been partners for a while now and got along well enough, he wasn't some creep and had good conversation. A young lady waved at the booth asking for directions to a ramen shop, and Nō went over to talk to her, with a smile on her face as always. When she walked away from the booth she did not notice her partner being silently taken down behind her by some guy.

When she turned back around she walked back to the booth and saw that he was gone and she was alone. Then she felt something sharp on her neck and recognized it as a kunai. She felt his hand come up and did a side roll and popped up in a fighting position. She slipped her gloves on and looked around, there where no civilians so it was a fair fight. They traded blows, kicks, punches, and she was nicked a few times on the arms due to his kunai and not being careful. When the broke away from each other the man pulled his sword out of its sheath and charged at Nō. She was quick to react and followed him in close, using exploding palm she was countering his blows with the sword. Even though they looked evenly match Nō was holding back, she had not fought like this in a while and she was enjoying this, but her partner was missing and she needed to find him soon.

So she become more bold with her attacks, instead of just trading blows she started to press the intruder. She slugged him twice on the face with her exploding palm and jumped up, with a smile she said "Explosion Release: Exploding Strike". Her fist glowed pink as she came back down and when she make contact a small explosion happened, only strong enough to crack the ground. When the small smoke cloud cleared Nō stood there with a frown on her face. The only thing left of the man was a puddle. She sighed and started to look for her lost partner. Nō found him over in the bushes safe and sound with no harm done to him. Nō woke him up by dumping water on his face with a smile.

"Well, what happened to you? Sleeping on the job?" she teased, and then went back over to the booth, they where stationed at. It was still empty, so she sat sat back down, her partner saying he would fill out the report and turn it in. Still the fight left her confused, the man was clone but who sent him? Plus he knew how to fight well? Something was off about this situation.

Listening to his other squad teammate introduce himself Hitori. What amused Tenshi was his Hitori's little brother and the comment about Uchiha controlling people. It was something that Tenshi heard stories about the wide variety of powers of the Uchiha. Tenshi even has heard stories wild of his father own father before he lost his one eye. That's all he really thought of them really as stories. Not once has Tenshi even seen a Uchiha control anyone against their will. He knows genjutsu of almost any kind can do that so what makes that special from the Uchiha?

Then Senhime started talking to the squad. Tenshi was happy she said they would have time to get ninja gear, he would have time to supply up before their first mission as a squad. Then she went on eating her soup after that she started asked the squad 'What is it that you all believe you can work on' Tenshi was going to answer, then she went on to revealing that he was a genin and he quickly figured out he was the only one in this squad that was a genin. It didn't really both him that he was the only genin it just meant that he was the least experience of the group and he had room to learn.

He thought about how he would answer his new Sensei's question he says, "Well I am a genin, there is a long list of things I can work on. I don't know where to even begin I don't even have use of the sharingan yet. Although, that really isn't something I can work on it will come when it comes. I have only a few jutsu I know how to use, I guess I can work on what I already know how to do and improve what I know. Then I can learn new things as I improve what I already can do."

Tenshi knew he had a lot to left to learn but being paired with in a squad where he is the only genin he had a lot more to learn to even keep up with his squad. He was a Uchiha and he didn't want to make his clan look bad by not living up to the reputation of the clan. So he is willing to go to any lengths to improve his skill as a shinobi.

Kei had been drifting through the village at his own pace when he heard a series of explosions at training field 4 that jolted him to attention. Dewa just in front of him, Kei’s grin grew wider when he saw the Lord Kishimoto that called him, or at least he supposed it was the older man, on the far side of the field and a girl with him as the older man called him and Dewa over. Complying, Kei walked over, checking the ground for any more explosives that he heard, before seeing the set up Kishimoto had provided

“Oooh, tea~♪” picking up the pace a bit, Kei moved and crossed his legs and sitting across from Lord Kishimoto and the blue haired lass while opening his umbrella and stabbing it into the ground next to him to provide a little bit of shade. The scene now looking a lot more like a picnic than a team gathering, Kei graciously took a cup of tea dipped his pinkie finger in and gave it a small taste and a sniff first before simply nursing it with a grin.

Listening to Chikage as she introduced herself, Kei’s smile never shifted as he nodded attentively while looking at the Second Hokage out of the corner of his eye. He was clearly crippled, but he didn’t really… feel it if that made sense. Looking at Lord Kishimoto, Kei had the feeling of watching his father standing there with his sword sheathed. That’s what it was a blade sheathed is a war worn scabbard. Kei still had to wonder though, is the blade still sharp? Or had it rusted? Regardless, an old war sword that saw itself through countless battles… hard to think of a better teacher.

“Nice to meet you Chikage, don’t worry about not exploding the Second. I’m actually quite glad you didn’t manage that. It would be kind of funny though, wouldn’t it? Lord Kishimoto, the Second Hokage, survived the war and returned home. Only to have a Genin he was to tutor to strike him down. You’d be famous~!” putting his tea cup to the side, Kei kinda wished he’d brought biscuits or something to make this a proper picnic, but regardless he adjusted himself and launched into his own introduction

“Hi, I’m Kei from the Tonbo family. I… hmm, well I don’t think I’m super interesting really. During the winter, I used to help my dad hunt in the forest and stuff, practicing my shurikenjutsu and all that. I like to think I’m pretty good at it. Uhhh, oh yes. My umbrella is made to be used in combat, it’s a bit of a multiweapon it has senbon, a sword, a lance… kinda and a shield. I’m not really sure how to end an introduction like this… I may want to borrow some spare explosive tags in the heat of battle if that’s alright with you Chikage, I tend to run through mine pretty fast” feeling rather comfortable, Kei let his eyelids droop lower before catching himself and stopping.

“What kind of mission… umm… how should we address you? Second? Lord Kishimoto? Sensei? I’m not exactly used to talking to people from a station so very far above my own” Kei shook his head and his smile grew a bit nervous as he realised how cavalier he sounded when talking to not just the former Hokage, but also a war hero.

“Sorry guys got a bit sidetracked today, sometimes my memory refuses to work when I want it too, but it wasn't like I was gonna slack off or anything 'cause it has been a busy week and I thought I could get a bit of rest today, but still if somethin's gotta be done I'm all ears! I'll say that I'm just about ready for anything 'cause I can't exactly remember why we're all supposed to be here!”
Gushiken Kohaku

Sidetracked?

The words coming from Kohaku’s lips were frustrating to hear and had it not been for Inori’s relatively distracted state of mind she would’ve been furious with the kunoichi. She could barely tolerate Haitani’s idiocy so she really didn’t need another thing to be irked by, especially given present circumstances. Between Haitani’s attempt to fluster her with a flirtatious comparison between her and Kohaku, the immediacy of them getting started on their assignment, and the fact she had been tossed into a pond when she was caught off guard during a redundant exercise— there were a good number of things on Inori’s mind.

The blonde-haired kunoichi crossed her arms in a huff, eyeing over both of the two other members of her squad who had arrived at the training field approximately at the same time. Inori ran her tongue against one of her canine’s as a light, annoyed breath left her lips as she looked to Kohaku.

“I guess it would be easy for you to forget that this is the day of our assignment while they figure out what to do with us following the loss of sensei. If you ask me it’s just busy work— but it’s still important enough to remember it!”

The higher ups in Konohagakure didn’t want the students of Senju Madarame to get antsy following his passing, a sentiment that was expressively made clear when they spoke to Haitani some several days ago following the funeral service of their former sensei and group leader that had molded herself, Haitani, and Kohaku as a team since their graduation from the academy. Inori thought back to Madarame’s mannerisms since they had met him unsure why she hadn’t noticed that he had been sick the whole time. It was so bizarre to lose him after they all had gone through the winter with little issue. Perhaps it spoke to the fatality of disease and that not all shinobi left this world with a kunai in their heart.

Inori looked toward the member of their group she had the least amount of familiarity with— Izo Moroku. A shinobi sent over to Konohagakure as a show of good faith and in harsher times would be their enemy more than their ally; a fact that was always present on Inori’s mind since she met him and one reason she felt legitimized her instinct of not trusting him. She wondered if those instincts she had would ever change.

She turned her head back towards Haitani, “Haitani, do you think we can get on track now?”

@BladeSS4 - Uchiha Tenshi
@Thecrash20 - Nagasaki Hitori

The kid brother of Hitori Nagasaki is telling the truth yet it's amusing on how a kid would know about such things. Is it indeed true that the Uchiha Clan had done shady things in the past? Well to be exact even before the formation of villages even started as mentioned by her Police Force Officer, Mother. Whether or not it's true, Ria laughed off like she does a while ago but not as much. "Do I look like I'm the type to eat people? Then again I slice...." Her crude humor would just scare the kid even more, directed to Hitori's younger brother. "I-I mean I slice apples for children and throw parties with balloons!" The meaning behind it can lead to many subliminal messages, Ria could not get anymore awkward than this. "Slice is good when you put your heart and stomach to it like Lady Senhime here, don't you think so guys?" She's just so bad at covering a scary joke of a bad joke in making it a good joke.

She turns to Tenshi, and patted his back. "Heh? I hate to break it to you though. Not all Uchiha can awaken their sharingan but I believe in you. " Ria's words are hurtful truth but her smile is authentic which blends well on what she feels towards Tenshi's dream. "From now on, we don't work as just teammates but friends, brother and sister. We'll all work together as a family."

Goals, goals, goals. Ria doesn't have one in particular. The moment Senhime planned out the team goals, she becomes worried about it and it got her facing her inner self. She shrugs it off for a while and tells what she wanted to work on. "Sensei. Of course we all have desires. I want to work best on every area I'm both weak and good at. No that's not it. I want to work on my inner self." The meaning behind it is simple as Ria further explains.

For a while she pauses in silence. "I can have everything. You can be strong and possess all but at the end of the day, you'll always have something missing. Back when I was a kid, I usually read upon my clan's Newsletter. So many literature and things to learn, one thing that struck me in one of my clan's teachings is a parable called The Snake and The Hawk. The snake dreaming to fly high in the sky and prey on the chick only to realize it that he is doomed because his prey is a hawk that takes flight." She breathes heavily explaining all this.

"Sensei.. I don't have a goal. Help me realize what my ambition is in my life. Like I said, you can everything but at the end of the day, there's always gonna be something missing and that something will always be above on what you currently have." She didn't know that she was already crying during her speech. "But I can understand that there are things that are so beautiful that you can't even reach nor have." She wipes her tears off.

"Right the mission, let's do our best!" She have a heavy smile after that as well as a cheerful voice with not a 100% confidence.

Tenshi was taken back a bit when Ria said that he might never get the sharingan since not every Uchiha can awaken it. Then she said, the next part that brightened him back up. 'From now on, we don't work as just teammates but friends, brother and sister. We'll all work together as a family.'

He then listened to her speech and felt bad as he noticed her crying. It was strange, she seemed so sure of herself before then she broke down. They were all human after all they have feeling. The one thing he learned in the academy that a shinobi doesn't show emotion. It was a concept that never was right to Tenshi, how could they stop being human? It is human nature to have a wild varity of emotions.

Tenshi felt like he should say something to try to cheer Ria up like she did not too long ago when she was telling him about the sharingan and how he might not awaken it. He then says, "It is as you said before Ria. We are all to work together as a family. We'll all help you find your goals, your ambitions. Senhime Sensei, Hitori, and me. We will all help you find what is missing. We are brothers and sisters now in one squad and family is there to support and help one other to find their goals and dreams and help them live them out." He ends his little speech off then quickly adds, "Meanwhile I am pretty sure we'll find something to be sliced."

Chimamire, Shirayuri

Interacting with @Hillan @Buddha.

The expression of smug amusement upon Shirayuri's thin lips only grew as Sakana began his bellyaching. It was so easy to invoke strong emotions from this passive aggressive fish boy. It was as if naming their clan membership after varying kinds of aquatic life didn't set their ilk up for all manner of insults. Still, poking and prodding at him only made Shirayuri's day more bearable during the dull humdrum of guard duty. Another skewer had entered her mouth, flesh ripping from bone as Sakana himself made to run off and purchase his own food. She wasn't wild with having to stand guard on her own, but a mouthful of hot fish was more important to her than Sakana's presence.

Only two rotations of her jaw could be made before her companion, who was already on his way out, spoke towards her. Something off? She hadn't finished swallowing her bite down by the time a familiar hiss broke the quite spring air. She slipped her fish skewer back within its bag just in time for a kunai knife to whiz past her booth. It had come from within the village, though, not outside. Had somebody decided to pull a prank on them? Ever one to quickly decide priorities, the wandering Kaguya made to place down her beloved food before responding to Sakana's situation. He was, after all, just as qualified as she to handle an occasional hoodlum.

Hoodlums as a rule, though, didn't normally assault a shinobi with a kunai knife while on duty. Whomever was assailing them was clearly more a threat than initially thought. In response, Shirayuri placed a hand upon her sash and loosened it so that her dusky tunic could begin falling open, allowing for the milky white flesh of her shoulders and collar bone to more easily show. She hadn't had a good fight since the Chuunin exams. Perhaps today would allow her to also sate the growing hunger for battle climbing within her gut.

Yet, such lofty hopes would be dashed by Sakana's incredible combat prowess. Or, more than likely, his attacker's lack of skill. She popped her head around the corner just in time to watch him kick the masked male in his chest, which sent the would be enemy flying off his feet and likely into no position to regain his positioning. Of course, fate was always a fickle mistress. No sooner than she watched the man melt away into a pool of liquid did the glint of metal within a stream of afternoon sun catch her eye from within her own booth. She tiled her head just in time to catch a kunai knife slashing in an arc towards her throat from the wall itself. A small grin of satisfaction morphed to one of excitement.

No soon than this knife reached her personal space did the resonating clang of steel-on-steel ring forth. Or, more accurately, steel-on-bone. A simple shift in posture allowed for a blunt spire of bone to shoot forth from her shoulder joint. This bone, formerly her humerus, had torn a hole through the delicate skin of her shoulder and caught his blade in the knot of her elbow joint. It was a simple task from there, a quick back step as he withdrew his knife and began fully phasing out from her booth's wall to follow up. A petite hand reached across her chest, fingers coiling around this boney hilt and drawing forth an arm length blade of bone with a sickening 'snap'. Her chakra had flooded her limb, easily rebuilding the missing limb as it was removed, leaving the Chuunin with a wicked weapon of her own design.

Previously dull eyes snapped to a state of dilation as the foe lunged forward and slashed again. He was fairly quick, but this was her domain. A simple knife would not do her in. With a flick of her wrist and the ear ringing clash of blade on blade, she deflected his incoming attack whilst backpedaling. Again and again, he lashed and swung, jabbed and thrust nearly a dozen time over a handful of seconds. Each attack was met with a quick parry, a block, or a deflection, a thoughtful gaze following each as this onyx eyed assassin flurried against her. He was doing all he could to harm her. As if his own safety did not make much of a difference. As if it didn't make much of a difference if she cut him down or not.

Her expression soured. A dirty trick. As another slash came whirling in from a diagonal angle, she was quick to clash her diamond-hard bone against it, applying pressure to force a lock and press it away from his center. A palm was thrust towards his chest as if to push him away; an easy move to block, which he did. Clammy fingers around her wrist, the man had stopped her counter... only for her palm's skin to briefly tent and tear. A lance of bone, sharp as any metal spear and many times as tough, launched forward and ripped through his chest. A clean strike, one which would end a man's life as his heart spewed blood like a fountain. Only, this was no man. This was a clone, as became obvious when he too melted away into a clear puddle.

"He's toying with us, fish." A simple and disgruntled declaration as Shirayuri withdrew her boney spear and made to search for the originator of the Bunshin whom had attacked them both. He could've had the decency to actually come and fight her, whoever it was. Nobody liked a tease.

Hitori was more then speechless. Both his teammates seemed so motivated and thinking of the big picture of the team. Hitori sat there in silence for a few more moments after everyone was done. Nothing really was left to say. Or at least he couldn't have though of anything else to add. "Sensei, I... I wanted to work on my problem, but... I don't think you're the only one who can help me. I think the whole team can help me!" Hitori stood up and pushed his chair in, looking at his Senhima. "Im all ready for the test, I won't have my weapons, but I don't think I need it with these two by my side."

Hitori looked as his little Brother picking up his empty bowl. "Alright buddy, scram.". Sutakku opened his mouth to retaliate, but stopped himself when he saw how serious his brother was. "Awe...Ok, I'll tell mom you'll probably be home late!". Sutakku began to roll off. Normally Hitori wouldn't let him go anywhere alone, but with his bow with him, Hitori would only be in his way if he needed that protection.

Hitori turned around to Look at both his teammates. With a thumb in the air he declared "Lets get this mission done. Together!"

Izo

Izo rolled his eyes at the sight of Kohaku getting to the training field late for their meeting and this helped reinforce his view of Konoha shinobi being goof offs compared to Mist ninja. This little group he was stuck with was going to be really annoying for him and Izo wondered if this would affect his development as a shinobi. He smiled a bit when Inori gave his forgetful teammate a stern talking to and was glad that at least there was one shinobi in this village who seemed to take this job seriously.

"In Kirigakure Kohaku, we get badly punished for slacking off and being late normally means a lot more exhausting training done. Konoha seems to let their shinobi be too emotional and do acts not befitting great shinobi. In Kirigakure we work extremely hard and make sure to always be on time to meetings such as this. In a game of chess being forgetful is one of the quickest ways to lose. For shinobi that is also very true. Next time try to understand the importance of being able to remember" Izo said to her with an arrogance to his tone.

He would be lying if he said that arrogance was not a part of his personality and his views on Leaf shinobi were product of it as well as his background with Kirigakure. He didn't care too much what the Konoha ninjas thought about him, all he cared about was doing what his elders in the Mist village ordered him to do and also keep getting stronger as a shinobi. He was glad to be getting a mission, but he was afraid that this odd group would potentially ruin it with how undisciplined it seemed to be.

"If we're getting a high ranked mission then we've got a lot of work to do before even I feel confident in our success" he said to them with a sigh.

Million Threads
@Masaki Haruna - Uchiha Ria
@BladeSS4 - Uchiha Tenshi
@Thecrash20 - Nagasaki Hitori

Senhime took in each of the young shinobi's answers, though she was rather visibly surprised at Ria suddenly crying. Where did that come from? Considering how confident the young girl at least tried to come off as, such a sudden emotional shift seemed a little bit out of character. Senhime gave a sympathetic nod as Tenshi took it upon himself to cheer his squadmate up, slurping up yet another mouthful of noodles. "Well, I see that at least you're all willing to get along, so this should be easy~." Senhime purred, finishing off the last of her ramen. Grasping the Shurakumo,she got up from her seat and began to walk off, turning to face the three aspiring young shinobi before her. "I can only hope that I'll prove to be a squad leader and sensei that you all come to depend on for quite some time. On account of the upcoming mission, today's training session may have to be a little short, but rest assured that we'll have plenty of time to polish your skills in the future." she chimed, giving a bow before continuing to walk off. "Once you're finished with your food, meet me at Training Field 6." she called over her shoulder, waving at Josuke before stepping out the door. As soon as she exited the Ryugamine Ramen, she Body Flickered her way to the training ground, wasting not a moment's time.

Training Field 6

Upon arriving at the training field, the members of Team Wildcard would find Senhime suspended from a tall tree, using the sheathed Shurakumo as a seat for the makeshift swingset being held aloft by two lines of "silk". "Welcome~. If you feel you're missing anything, there will be plenty of tools over there." she stated, pointing over at the assembled cases of ninja tools, each labeled for convenience. Descending from the tree, Senhime herself would forgo using properly bladed implements in favor of grasping a wooden sword. "If you have any concerns about whether using real weapons would be appropriate, don't worry~. I'll be fine." she assured them, playfully spinning the wooden sword around in her hand.

"I mentioned before that this would be a quick and dirty training exercise. And quick and dirty it'll be…." she began, tying her hair back into a ponytail, "I want you all to come at me. But it's not quite that simple. I want you to try and take this." she directs the team's attention to the Konoha armband adorning her sword arm, revealing the goal of the training session. "Oh, but do keep in mind…." she continued, taking a slightly readied stance as faintly glowing strands of chakra began to make their presence known, tracing a criss-crossing lattice throughout the training field. "I don't expect you to get it the first time." she purred, leaping up onto one of the silk strands above, her weight held perfectly as she peered down at the team below. "Ready when you are~"

Considering the fact that this was both their first training exercise under Senhime, and the fairly unorthodox way that the horned kunoichi tended to fight, she at least decided to go a bit easy on them for now. For now, the battlefield would be littered with a healthy mix of sticky silk, hard silk and "bouncy" silk. After all, there would be no point in putting them through the danger zone too early on. If they wanted to take their lumps, they were going to have to get them from Senhime personally.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

The responses of both the two chunin as well as the genin solicited a small laugh from the Hokage. They had grasped the meaning of the saying, though that was not all too hard, since the saying was quite easy. But the hidden wisdom within it seemed lost on them - the greater meaning, the meaning that could theoretically shatter ideologies. “Well, you all got the meaning of it I suppose - though, I would like to implore on all three of you to think somewhat deeper on the meaning of it. Don't take everything at face value. After the mission, I will ask you guys the same question; 'what does the saying mean.' Perhaps your ideas will have changed.”

She glanced at Dio momentarily as he asked about the mission, annoyed at his rather annoying attitude and disregard for her wisdom. She was a virtuous, pious woman after all - not in the religious sense, perhaps, but she was most certainly wise. In her mind, Dio would do well to listen to her more closely. Despite her intention not to teach these three nobodies anything, she found herself lecturing them on her own ideological visions already, and they would best pay attention if they wished to understand the Hokage better. “The mission is also about eating meat - though, not for us as individuals, but for Konohagakure.”

Her eyes darted from Dio to Ira, to Mu, and back to Dio. It was rag-tag political team, one made out of two Sarutobi and a Hyuga - led by the Hokage. Slowly her arm raised and she pinched the bridge of her nose, looking down slightly. She wondered why she had picked this mission for herself with this team specifically. It would be a disaster if they actually found the target. At least Dio could give them ample warning before they did. “Right, the mission. I don't want you guys to be scared, but this mission is a B rank mission that has a possibility to turn into an S rank mission. Also.. I'm going to need you three to agree to never speak about this mission happening, ever. Clear?” She wasn't even lying, but they'd understand soon enough.

“We will be going close to the Kumogakure borders - possibly into their territory. Therefore, we will move silently and in a clandestine fashion. We will look for the eight-tails. If we find him, we will mark its' position, and return to Konohagakure. You will be paid royally. Any questions? No? Good. Dio, you take point. Once we get close, use your byakugan to scout ahead. Let's move.”

With that done, the team would head out North-bound, headed for the Kumogakure border. Mawari would keep Dio in front at all times, to ensure that if something or someone appeared in front of them, they would at the very least be aware of it.

Sarutobi Ira

He had listened to the Hokage's words of wisdom, she hadn't really quite appreciated his - nor the others view on things. Not that it bothered him, while he respected the Hokage, he wasn't gonna live or die on her words. He didn't need to adhere to what she thought was right, for despite all of her greatness as Lady Hokage, he knew that he would become better. It was his destiny to become better. He listened to the mission being explained to him - the eight Tails, one of the tailed beasts? On hostile territory? This was a mission far above his pay grade as a Genin - finally, they were recognizing his power.
"What mission?" he said in response to her asking them to promise to never talk about the mission. Dio would be set to take the front on the mission - Ira cleared his throat.

"Actually, with all due respect, Lady Hokage. But Dio's Talents would be better served from the back, so he could cover our rear most efficiently. It's a lot harder for us to watch behind us than it is for him, and if you take the front, nothing would be able to ambush us from that angle, as I trust the Third's more than powerful enough to handle any foe stupid enough to try a frontal assault." He interjected, more than willing to speak up, and even disagree with the Hokage, despite his low rank. His father always did say that rank wasn't the most important thing in the world.

Uchiha Kaido

Kaido emerged on a branch outside of the main gate, watching as the girl fought his Assassin. She fought well, a little careless, yet she fought efficiently, making sure to minimize the collateral damage her otherwise devastating brand of techniques would cause. She got hurt four times by his clone, before eventually getting serious, demolishing the clone in one swift move. Kaid leapt down from the branch, landing behind her completely silently. He broke his stealth with a short applause, clapping his hands four times.

"At east, Nō." He said, a smirk on his face. "Well done, you've passed my litte test. I will see you at the Hero Monument in twenty minutes." He said, he would meet them at the monument meant next to training field 1. The monument was for all the Leaf soldiers that had fallen during the winter war, in the first war between all shinobi nations, it seemed fitting given the little exercise he had put his students through.

He waved her off, and then vanished, to go find the other two, before his clones struck them.

He would watch Sakana deal with the clone after a brief struggle, likewise for Shirayuri. He was quite impressed with how neither of them had lost their cool during their situation. He arrived on the side of them, this time not silently, in order to get their attention. "He sure did tease you a little. A test, if you will. I expect to see you both of you at the Hero Monument in ten minutes. You have a mission waiting for you."

Once his squad had all gathered before him, he folded his arms behind his back. "Sit down." He told them, nodding at the rocks in front of the monument.
"You were all told in the academy what this monument is for. You probably know someone who's name is written into this rock. A relative, a sibling, maybe even a parent. You all think you're pretty much immortal, that nothing's particularly serious. That's why The Third Hokage, Mawari-Sama has appointed me, Uchiha Kaido, to be your captain, in an effort to make soldiers out of you. And that all begins now." He spoke, getting four dossiers out of his backpack he carried on his shoulder, throwing one to each of them, keeping one for himself.

"Read through the file carefully. This is the most important mission you kids have done in your entire lives. It's an A-rank mission where the future of the nation lies in your hands. It's highly likely that we will end up in combat situations, either with the criminal, or with Kirigakure Shinobi, as I personally highly doubt they have any kind of intentions of helping us out. It's of utmost necessity that we succeed, or countless of your fellow shinobi will fall at the hands of the murderous Mist shinobi, adding even more names to this monument behind me." Kaido's words came out rather harshly, but he had no time to play nice with these kids - it wasn't what they needed, nor what Lady Hokage wanted him to do. He was not to be their friend, only their commander.

"You have half an hour to gather supplies - tend to your wounds my clones gave you, and then we will meet in front of the main gate fore departure. If you're even a second late, it won't be clones coming for you."

"Move out, Team." He moved his gloved hand with two fingers outstretched, his gray shinobi vest with the Uchiha and Hyuuga symbols on each arm reflected some of the sunlight hitting the shiny badges as he did.

Tenshi was already finished with his ramen and as soon as Senhime told them were to go he was ready. "I'll see you all at the training Field 6. I got to pick up some tools first but I'll be there as quickly as I can!"

He left and picked up some ninja tools on the way, spending what was left in his money pouch. Tenshi picked up two extra items stopping at home first, a bottle of saké and a lighter. His little way of using the clan's well-known fire-ball jutsu. While it isn't really a fireball it doesn't mean he can't try to fake it. He put the little bottle in a little ninja tool holder on his leg along with the lighter. Then making a bee line straight to the training field.
-
Location: Training Field 6

At the training field he stretches out a bit, getting loosened up before the little test. He takes his backpack off not before grabbing his ninja tools pack and grabbing his chakram and hooking them too his belt along with attaching the ninja pack to his belt. Tenshi goes and gathers a few tools provided for them. Mostly shuriken, wire and a quite a few smoke bombs. When Senhime told them not to worry about using real weapons he grabbed a few more shuriken and stuffed them in his little bag. He took note on the wooden sword, taking the mental note.

Tenshi was nervous but he was also filled with excitement to show off what he can do. "Alright we need to get that armband, Let's get started!" 'Want me to fight dirty, fine I can fight dirty.' After some quick words and thoughts Tenshi throws down a smoke bomb and claps his hands together into a single hand sign, the tiger hand sign. Chakra flowed out of Tenshi wildly as he prepares to use his jutsu. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" With in the cloud of smoke another cloud of smoke appears from the out burst of the jutsu. With in the big cloud where one stood, is now three. Two shadow clones and the original.

All three rush out of the smoke in a wild like formation. The original going left, one clone goes right, and the last clone goes straight at Senshime. The two going straight at Senhime looking to go right at it with taijutsu, having no issue with throwing punches at his new Sensei. The armband was the goal they had to do whatever to get it and that is exactly what Tenshi was going to do with his clones. Seemingly not paying attention to the silk that is surrounding the area, looking to go right at his goal.
