Psychology & History
From detailed inspection and investigation by ANBU and medical personnel“Are you hurt? Come here, I don't bite~.”| Personal biography: |
Born the first of two children to Osuushi Goro and Osuushi Chikako, much of Senhime's early years were spent as a junior shrine maiden at the clan's temple, dedicated to Gyuki, supposed benefactor of the Osuushi clan. Tending to the shrine was just about the only life she knew, and it was practically a given that she would eventually be her mother's successor as head priestess. However, at twelve years old, she became not just head-priestess-to-be, but a big sister as well. The birth of young Akumako added a new dimension to her life, dividing between her duties as a shrine maiden (both proper shrine duties and the defense of the shrine from brigands) and helping to take care of "Kuko".
When the winter hit, the Osuushi clan took it upon themselves to act. In the words of Goro, they were "To be like the ox, and take upon the burdens of the people". And so, the small Osuushi clan, blessed by the great Gyuki, sent out small missions from the primary shrine in Kumogakure in order to assist the civilians in other nations in getting through their everyday life during the winter. Having set up a temporary shrine head, Goro himself put his money where his mouth was and set off to Konoha. The journey was difficult, especially with still-growing Akumako along for the trip, but the hardy constitution of the Osuushi clan carried them through without incident, as it would for many other missions. Senhime's time in the Land of Fire proved to be an interesting experience. She had never ventured beyond Kumogakure before, much less the Gyuki shrine proper, and it was clear from the reception by some that they were just as intrigued by the family of horned folk having appeared in town.
However, while the Osuushi's presence in the village was shown to be of great help, desperate times led some to believe their efforts were not enough. Or, at worse, that some were being treated unfairly. One day, while out-and-about in the village, a group of ruffians ordained to kidnap young Senhime. While still young, Senhime's strength proved considerable enough to give the gang a fair amount of trouble before their superior numbers overwhelmed the young girl. However, before she could even be taken, she was treated to the sight of a lone shinobi dispatching the group of thugs.
The Osuushi clan, while somewhat versed in the use of the chakra supposedly gifted unto them by the Gyuki, kept themselves separate from the world of the shinobi proper. This being the first time she'd encountered one of their ilk, Senhime found herself amazed at the shinobi's fighting ability. Having been escorted back home by her saviour, Senhime asked her father if carrying the burdens of the people could be achieved by being a shinobi like the one that protected her. Goro and Chikako took some time to deliberate over whether the life of a shinobi was what they wanted for their daughter. However, they were eventually moved by their eldest daughter's fervent adoration for shinobi. Between her duties as a junior shrine maiden at the Konoha shrine and as a boon to the villagers, Senhime would come home with her clothes dirty, having hidden in the bushes to watch genin doing training exercises.
When Chikako happened on Senhime, having properly created a shadow clone, she and Goro decided that it was time to allow her to enter the academy. Showing a knack for chakra control as displayed from her earlier act of having made a shadow clone, young Senhime showed herself to be an incredibly talented shinobi. By the time she'd achieved the rank of chunin, something else had caught her attention. Behind the "Ryugamine Ramen" shop was a man. The eponymous Ryugamine Josuke. With sword in hand, he appeared to be performing some kind of bizarre training exercise. Intrigued by the quick drawing of a sword, and the cutting of wood from a distance, Senhime demanded that the ramen shop owner taught the technique to her.
More annoyed at her having stepped into his training area, and with no particular desire to teach, the ramen chef would shoo her off, with the excuse that she should "focus on her shinobi business" and that she was merely "a little girl playing with the idea of being a samurai". Eventually, after enough pestering, Senhime managed to convince Josuke to teach her sword techniques, believing that the supposed "unseeable" sword technique would prove an asset to her as a shinobi.
During this time, Senhime's life proved to be rather busy. With her parents having moved back to Kumogakure with Akumako, Senhime spent her time going on missions, training in the sword with Josuke, and attempting to hone the ninja arts as well. It was during her time as a chunin that she began to develop her Silk Release, a skill that would eventually earn her the title of the "Million Threads". Having taught her just about all he felt like teaching her, Josuke decided to end his tutelage of the horned kunoichi. However, in a betrayal of his usual grumpiness, he provided Senhime with a gift as his "first and only pupil", the Shurakumo.
With sword in hand, Senhime continued to act as a shinobi, gaining some level of clout within the Leaf before eventually achieving the rank of Jounin, where she continued her exemplary service.
| Family biography: |
While the origins of the Osuushi clan are questionable, the members of the clan have grown to accept one particular history. Long ago, a lone warrior challenged the eight-tailed beast, the Gyuki, in an attempt to slay the majestic creature. While the warrior fell in battle, they managed to take one of the eight-tails' horns in the process. Thought to be lost to the ages, the horn was eventually found by a fisherman off the shores of Kumogakure, having pulled it in with his catch. In the process of screwing around with the mysterious object, the fisherman placed the horn on his head. From that point on, the rest was history. The horn having fused to the man, he was imbued with greater strength than before. Upon bearing children, he came to realize that his spawn bore a pair of horns matching his own, and his enhanced prowess to boot.
Adopting the name "Osuushi", this man became the progenitor of the clan as it is today, a small clan of powerful, horned humans who celebrate the "gifts" bestowed unto them by the great Gyuki by honoring the eight-tailed ox with shrines dedicated in the tailed beast's honour.
Telltale signs of a member of the Osuushi clan are their trademark horns, and a slight trend towards somewhat elvish ears, although this is not universal. Additionally, most Osuushi tend to be fairly tall in stature, with well-muscled builds. Perhaps most relevant, however, is the Osuushi's incredible natural vitality and the wellspring of chakra that comes with it. That being said, many of the Osuushi do not have a fine-tuned control of chakra due to the clan's being of a particularly volatile nature.

Senhime doesn't have any long-term dreams at the moment, being both a carefree individual and already having found her desired career path. That being said, she's cautiously optimistic about whether or not she'll be of any help in the event of another Winter.

Combat Reports
From detailed reports from previous missions and academy sparring matches“I'll show you why they call me the "Million Threads".”| Fighting style: |
Senhime combines incredible speed with her Kinuton and sword skills, imparted onto her by Josuke Ryugamine. While moving around the battlefield, she deftly sets up silk structures to obstruct enemy movement and make them have to pay greater attention to their position during any given fight, thereby diverting attention from Senhime herself. This makes the her already masterful sword skills even more deadly than normal. Senhime is fond of employing quick draw maneuvers, delivering multiple blows at a speed which makes them appear almost simultaneous. When her sword is sheathed, she’ll often use it as a blunt instrument, taking advantage of the weapon’s length to almost use it like a staff. As far as taijutsu goes, Senhime isn’t exactly a master, but her strength level makes up for it. Typically, she uses kicks to keep her hands free for using the sword or certain Kinuton techniques. Due to the range and coverage of her Kinuton, she has often been known to fight alone, though group operations are possible if sufficient practice has done beforehand to familiarize allies with some of the nature of Kinuton
| Kekkei genkai - bloodline limit: |
Kekkei genkai nameKinuton (Silk Release)
DescriptionA Kekkai Tota that combines the Wind, Water and Earth chakra natures. Through the use of Kinuton, one can generate strands of “silk” that take on a variety of properties depending on the balance of chakra natures within each strand. Common uses include making the “silk” incredibly sharp, or giving it a more sticky, gooey form. With Senhime’s level of skill and chakra control, she’s capable of changing the properties of her “silk” even after its creation.
StrengthsKinuton is, first and foremost, incredibly versatile. Usable offensively, defensively, or even to aid in mobility and reconnaissance. Kinuton works especially well in urban or indoor areas where there are fewer avenues of escape from larger, more advanced silk formations. And due to its variable range, it can work incredibly well in both one-on-one combat, or even one highly-skilled Kinuton user against several opponents.
WeaknessesThe most glaring weakness of Kinuton is that it happens to be fairly weak to fire-based jutsu. As such, if one can set the silk ablaze from a safe distance, they can neutralize the silk, though some silk compositions are harder to set ablaze than others. Open fields also make the use of advanced silk formations difficult. Without adequate surfaces to attach the silk to, maintaining the structures becomes more taxing on chakra use without creative input on the user’s part. Also, due to the spread nature of many greater silk structures, it is often advisable that the user fights independently to avoid potential harm to allies.

Jutsu name Kinuton: Million Thread Matrix
RankS
RangeVariable. Dependent on silk setup.
DescriptionBelieved to be the “ultimate” technique of the Silk Release. The user creates an incredible amount of strings, placing them in such a way that avoiding them is incredibly difficult even without pressure on the user’s part. At Senhime’s level of proficiency, she is capable of changing the formation and structure of the “silk” strands in accordance with her needs. Due to the fact that many don’t get the chance to count the amount of strands used, and the fact that Senhime can also add more silk to an existing matrix, the accuracy of the technique’s name is questionable, but not exactly implausible.
Jutsu name Kinuton: Battlefield Tuning
RankS
RangeVariable. Dependent on range of matrix.
DescriptionAfter setting up the Million Thread Matrix, Senhime will send a violent vibration through a strand of silk. This vibration will transfer between all strands in the matrix until their simultaneous vibrations cause the air itself to vibrate rapidly with Senhime’s chakra. Although gradual, if those caught within the technique fail to escape in time, the vibrations will eventually cause failure if internal organs and, consequently, death. In the buildup to the eventual death of the targets, those caught in the vibrating prison may experience nausea, vomiting, loss of balance and even deafness due to collapsed inner ear cillia. Senhime is careful not to use this technique unless absolutely necessary due to the fact that it can also affect allies caught within.
Jutsu name Kinuton: Battle Speculation
RankA
RangeVariable. Works where silk has been placed.
DescriptionA sensory jutsu that uses pulses of chakra imperceptible to most other than Senhime. Using these pulses, Senhime can receive feedback on enemy positions from their proximity to the strands of silk, thereby acting like sonar. This is particularly relevant during night battles or the many situations where Senhime is facing multiple opponents at once. When combined with the Million Thread Matrix, Senhime’s battlefield awareness multiplies exponentially.
Jutsu name Kinuton: Adamantine Six-Point Aegis
RankA
RangeShort
DescriptionA defensive technique where the user creates a dense, hexagonal “shield” made out of silk. This shield can vary in size in accordance with the attack the user is defending against. In order to neutralize fire-based attacks, Senhime creates a thick barrier of pure chakra along the shield’s surface that can be used to repel flames.
Jutsu name Ryugamine-Ryuu: Zanmaken (Ryugamine Style: Evil-Cutting Sword)
RankA
RangeShort
DescriptionA primarily defensive technique designed to destroy projectile attacks created by chakra like the Great Fireball Technique or simply counter enemy strikes in general. Gripping the handle of their blade in a backhand grip, the user focuses on the attack coming towards them and splits the chakra forming the attack, dispelling it. Oddly enough, requires the user’s feet must be firmly planted on the ground in order to use the technique.
Jutsu name Scabbard Bullet Technique
RankB
RangeVariable. Generally increases range of other techniques.
DescriptionIn order to further increase draw speed, Josuke concentrates chakra inside of the scabbard of his sword and causes it to burst out like a geyser, propelling his blade out of its sheath with greater speed and power. Due to the nature of the technique, it’s ill-advised to use it on most normal blades for fear that they might break.
Jutsu name Reverse Divider
RankB
RangeMid-Range
DescriptionA strange kenjutsu that could most accurately be described as some form of “reverse iaido”. With Shurakumo out of its sheath, Senhime re-sheaths it with great speed, causing a flurry of air blades to project from around Senhime from all angles.
Jutsu name Kinuton: Gossamer Drill
RankB
RangeMid-Long
DescriptionSenhime creates several strands of silk and launches them forward in a spiral formation, causing them to coalesce into a “lance” made of silk. Upon piercing a foe, Senhime tends to make the strands split off and anchor themselves onto something nearby, or pierce any of the target’s allies who happen to be standing in range. The technique has impressive offensive power, but its primary use is in restraining opponents. If one wishes to escape after already being pierced by the strands, they are typically left with attempting the difficult task of cutting the silk as their only option. Either that, or possibly sacrificing a limb if one was pierced. Even more dangerously, Senhime is capable of using silk formations that she’s already set up for the technique, thereby creating several angles of attack.
Jutsu name Kinu Dangan no Jutsu
RankC
RangeMid-Long
DescriptionThe user forms silk inside their mouth and spits it at the opponent. Using a sticky, water nature heavy mixture, the user can use the silken “bullet” to immobilize opponents or otherwise slow them down by having it harden on impact. More offensive use can have it act as a high-speed, piercing bullet by increasing the amount of wind nature chakra applied to the mixture. Senhime is fond of the fairly “dirty” tactic of spitting a “bullet” into an opponent’s face at melee range to blind them.
| Weapons: |
Weapon name Shurakumo (Carnage Spider)
Weapon, tool, or object typeNodachi
DescriptionShurakumo is a nodachi of immaculate craftsmanship, sporting a blade at just over a meter long, with minimal curvature and a single edge. The blades tsuba is a standard oval shape. The handle of the sword is also of above average length and wrapped in a luxurious golden-brown cloth with a ribbon of red cloth flowing from the butt of the sword. Paired with the sword, of course, is its sheath. Long like the blade it holds, the sheath sports a vibrant red color. The most notable thing about the sheath is that Senhime adorns it with an ornament in the form of a chibi Akumako, as if it were a keychain.
