Tiny
Age:
25
Place of Origin:
Brooklyn, NY
Relationship Status:
Single
Occupation:
Singer/Songwriter
Biography:
Destiny was born in Manhattan, NY, the youngest of three girls. Her father was a criminal defense lawyer, and her mother a pediatric surgeon. Because of her parents' busy schedules, however, Tiny and her sisters spent most of their time living with their Grandmother in Brooklyn. Because of this, the sisters never had a strong relationship with their parents, and always preferred to hang out with Grandma. While her sisters eventually grew out of this, Tiny never did. While everyone else was out partying on a Friday night, she'd be sitting in the house with her Grandma watching Matlock.
Unlike her older sisters, Tiny was extremely introverted, and never made friends very easily. She'd spend most of her time, if not with Grandma, in her room, singing and writing songs. It wasn't until she was eleven that her Grandmother finally convinced her to audition for the school production of The Wiz. While her acting wasn't as good, Tiny's tremendous voice landed her the lead role. It was then that she started to break out of her shell. As she grew older, her acting and singing skills improved, as well as her social skills. She'd started to spend more and more time rehearsing or hanging out with friends, and less time staying home with Grandma.
When Tiny was fifteen years old, her grandmother passed away. The whole family was crushed, but nobody was as upset as Tiny was. Even after her father got a promotion and moved them across the country, she still kept her grandma in her heart. She never forgot that without that wonderful old lady, she wouldn't be who she was today.
Tiny found out about the audition for Edenridge through some of her father's connections. Despite growing up in a completely different situation, it was easy for Tiny to mold herself into Keisha's character. Though only being a "minor" character for the first season, Tiny still put everything she had into her acting. The audience loved Keisha just as much as they loved Tiny. After the show's cancellation, however, Tiny decided to take a break from acting and focus on her music career. By the time she was twenty-three, Tiny's music career had taken off. She's written a large number of hits for well-known artists, and even dropped a few hit albums herself.
Tiny accepted the offer the moment she was contacted about the Edenridge revival. She'd been itching to get back into the acting biz for a while, but never got the chance to act on it. Now, she's very excited to see the many old faces that she hadn't seen in ten years.

Name:
Keisha Nicole Carter
Nickname:
Nickie
Age:
16;26
Place of Origin:
Bronx, NY.
Relationship Status:
TBD
Occupation:
School Counselor
Biography:
Keisha started off on the show simply as the younger sister of Ty Carter, a young boy from the Bronx who'd simply fell in with the wrong crowd. He'd been running the streets—dealing drugs and gang-banging—since he was sixteen years old. He was very overprotective of Keisha, and did everything in his power to make sure that she and their single mother were taken care of. Their father had left the picture when the siblings were seven and ten years old; he'd beaten their mother so badly that Keisha had to call the police. Of course, he'd hit both the siblings and their mother many times before, but never as bad as he had that night. He'd been sentenced to four years in prison, and was never heard from after he got out.
Despite being just three years younger than her brother, Keisha always felt as though Ty treated her like a child. As the second season came to an end, and the third season started up, Keisha slowly started to break out of her "shell." She'd started to dress a bit too inappropriately and wear makeup, purposely attracting the attention of many of Ty's friends. She'd even gotten into a brief relationship with one of them, resulting in her losing her virginity at the age of fifteen. When Ty found out what was going on between the two, he beat the boy until he'd promised to never step foot near the two of them again.
Because Keisha had started to really fall in love with the boy, she slowly but surely started to resent her brother and "act out." She'd stay out late partying with older teens, smoking and drinking until she passed out. She'd have a new boyfriend or girlfriend every other week, and didn't really keep up her grades. She'd even found herself in an abusive relationship at one point, but got out of it when her big brother came to the rescue. She'd get into (and win) countless fights, and didn't really care much about what happened in the future. It wasn't until her brother was shot and killed, however, that she really got her act together.
The old boyfriend had come back, but this time, with a gun. He had no interest in getting back with Keisha, but instead wanted revenge. With Ty gone, Keisha's mother completely fell apart. She would stay in bed for days at a time, only getting up to use the bathroom. Keisha took care of her as well as she could, but things just kept getting worse. Her mother couldn't find anyway to overcome her grief. By the time she graduated high school, the mother she knew was gone. Keisha had her put into a home while she went away to college.
Keisha now works full-time as a high school counselor. Ever since she lost her brother, she knew that she wanted to help other kids deal with whatever it is they had going on, whether it be in school or at home. She'd always thought that if there was someone like that back when she was in high school, things could have gone very differently.
