I'm not super happy with the picture, and I'm looking for something similar to better match his personality. But other than that, he's ready.

Kyran the Vampire

Kyran Coltsworthy | 19 | Male

Personality: Kyran comes off as playful and friendly; he is also manipulative. He's observant to a person's strengths and beauties (and vices), and is never hesitant to give a compliment. This can make him seem shallow and ingenuine, but he is easily attracted to the good in others. That being said, there's a lack of good within him, and he can just as easily be critical or sadistic toward others instead. A relationship with him is a bit of a rollercoaster, and others will find themselves brightened by his attitude one day, then depressed by his harshness the next. This is partly a consequence of his lack of empathy and partly because he enjoys pulling the strings.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual

Likes:
- Mage blood is delicious, but he rather experience a good hunt
- Soft colors
- Tall people and long, full hair
- Challenging people--both as a verb and an adjective

Dislikes:
- He distrusts Magic
- Lycans
- Other vampires if he's being honest

Habits:
- Playing with another's hair
- Staring / people watching
- He's not very fidgety and can come off as oddly still
- Insomnia, fueled by gaming and unapologetic late night snacking

Other:
- His hair is usually tied back in a long ponytail
- He's young for a vampire, but surprisingly strong. He'll be one hell of a force of nature in another century.
- The treaty is nice, but he'd prefer a world where the mages are free and he is free to feed on anyone
- He has tattoos on his left forearm

He'd be very young for the academy that's for sure. Most pure vampires wouldn't go until they turned 100 or so... His need would be greater as a turned vampire though, so I guess it would make sense if you were going that route.

Just a reminder though, that turning a humans into vampires is frowned upon unless for a good reason (usually life saving). Can't have too too many of them running around but a few are fine.

Poor guy is going to be so uncomfortable having to pair up with a mage, it's going to be so much fun. ^.^ He's good to go!

@WeepingLiberty Yeah, I can definitely go down the Turned route--it'd probably make the most sense considering his characterization so far, even without looking at age. Since I don't know the lore super well, I went in willing to adjust him as needed.

Personality: Araceli could be considered to be in the same mental state as her element - airheaded. Although not clumsy physically, she is terribly oblivious, a fact which is only made worse by the fact she constantly has headphones on.

Like most people, she likes making new friends and one of her favorite methods of doing this is picking up hobbies. She's constantly doing something random and different, although she tends towards more artsy pursuits. If something takes too long, it tends to irritate her endlessly.

When she wants to get away from the world, she'll tend to find a high place or change her appearance so she won't be noticed immediately.

Question to the GM: To what degree are mages the servants of vampires, on a scale from "Must obey everything and I can kill you if you bore me" to "Come by once a day so I can feed on you."? Pets? Is there a difference between legal and social expectations for a relationship? Romance?

Also, were any humans nobility given the long history of oppression? What about religion?

Okay, now that Libby is done being a dumbass...

With mages, they are seen as second class citizens and are treated as such. Those who are in favor of the old ways most likely treat their mage companions as pets while the younger generations are split between treating them like servants or in some cases business partners. That, however, is linked to how the vampire feels.

Legally, all a mage had to do is be around to feed their vamp once a day or in the case that they get injured (which happens alot with youngsters). Other than that they are technically free to pursue their own love interests, friend groups, hobbys. You'll find a lot of "pure" vampires in favor of manipulation tactics that will isolate their mage from others so that they can keep them to themselves. But that is also a case by case basis.

Normal humans are, for the most part, left alone per treaty agreement. So nobles can noble. The only time vamps stepped in were in cases of wars almost breaking out and conspiracy to move against the vamps.

In this AU, polytheistic religions are more prevalent than the monotheistic ones... but all were allowed to exist. Close eyes are kept on those religions to discourage uprisings or holy wars.

@weepingliberty What's the deal with Lycans? Are they prevalent, and are they sane? Can humans easily tell a human from a Lycan? Can vampires? And what's their citizenship status? Can vampires kill them legally?

@WeepingLiberty Alright, thanks for the heads up. Just wanted to be aware of what my character could be expecting, and the possible best case vs worst case scenarios. I advise you keep a lore tab up in the OOC because you are probably going to have a lot of questions.

If this is the case, I would rather play with someone who fell a bit more on the oppressive side, since if someone is nice to her she sure as hell will try to get out of being fed on.
